Hello Curlylox hope I have a short stay too !

And Hello Hippy , I'm not too bad, relieved that body did what it had to and that there were no complications.Got huge hug from my 15 year old dd just now and bought big lemon cake for us all to have and am making nice dinner :)

Have missed all the SWI and for me I find that physical closeness helps when I am upset so roll on next week

Have got some tests from accessdiagnostics,is definitely very cheap

latestarter2009 · 03/02/2011 15:00

hey everyone....i've lost the thread completely again :( just a quick one....big hug curly and also have seen lots of comments on which tests to use etc, just though i would tell you about the online place i get mine from www.accessdiagnostics. co.uk (sorry gum probably wont work for you) i'm pretty sure they are the cheapest, the clearblue digital 7 test ovulation pack is £15.99 and they regularly send me discount coupons and thrown in pg tests, they also have pre-seed and every other conception product you could possibly want....hope this is of use to some of you xx

Curlylox · 03/02/2011 14:56

Grin Grin the old ones are the best. Got to run and pick DD up from school.

Hi Panashe* Welcome XX

Fifitot lovely news.Any one with good encouraging stories are more than welcome.Wink

Curly i use the clear blue digital tests.£29 for 20 tests at the moment from Amazon.Normally £22 for 7 from Boots.Know they are pricey but i find them easier to decphier than the line tests. If you follow the egg meets sperm plan you start testing on Cd 10 but as i used to ovulate on Cd 10 used to start testing on Cd8/9.This month i ll be testing as soon as they arrive ??? Cd6/7.I ve always got on well with them. They helped me concieve the MCs and my beautiful Georgie. So for that i rate them."Why" do i use them? You asked? mmm....maybe because i m a control freak!!!! Maybe because i don t always notice my ewcm and maybe because i found out just before Georgie that i ovulate early.Smile xxx

I know, I know Sweetie - just kidding. Grin Here is a joke for you - it's very old but I like it:-

Apparently, 1 in 5 people in the world are Chinese. And there are 5 people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother Colin. Or my younger brother Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin.Grin

Curlylox · 03/02/2011 14:49

ha ha ha hippy are you poking fun at me Grin I meant the temping, progesterone cream etc etc

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 14:46

crossed posts with curly in my haste to ask a question Blush

curly Most of the people on here are trying different things ???? I thought we were all just trying sex! Is there another way - do tell???Grin

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 14:43

thanks for the encouraging words fifitot. Great news. (have we 'met' before? Your name sounds familiar - stalker-ish question!)

Can I ask on a sad note did you have any MC's before conceiving at 46?? As curly says - you have to stay now! Grin

panashe welcome welcome, we are always happy to meet new people. You wont offend us with anything you say at all. So sorry to hear about the MC - they are tough but you sound quite upbeat and ready to throw yourself into it all again. X

Curlylox · 03/02/2011 14:39

Did you do temping, were your cycles regular, do you use an ovulation predictor kit, fertility monitor etc etc. Sorry only answer if you're comfortable in doing so. Most of the ladies here are trying different things and it's good to hear what works for others Smile

fifitot · 03/02/2011 14:34

Hello

Probably a bit premature as only had 'complete miscarriage' confirmed by second scan this morning but know that at 41 have no time to waste so looking forward to getting intimate with dp again very soon :)

Don't want to offend anyone or feel a fraud as had children in my twenties, but in new relationship and we want a baby and am finding that it is becoming a full time obsession when really I should chill. Am 42 in august and had made decision with partner to give it 12 months and see what happens but you lot may inspire me to keep going into next year if neccesary.

Hope you don't mind me popping in over the coming weeks and months :)

fifitot · 03/02/2011 13:33

Excuse me for popping in - saw this and thought I'd post. Was 46 when conceived number 2, previous poster on the 40something threads.

Good luck - can be done!

Diege · 03/02/2011 12:38

Hello! Thanks for helping with the washing up Jolls! Hope we're recovered in time for tomorrow's bistro!
Gum that's interesting about the lp chinese diet thing. I do take AC that has been quite succesful in the past (moving lp from 9 to 13 days) but it doesn't seem to be working now Hmm. I think my hormone levels are all over the place tbh. My temp rose (as opposed to falls, as it should) the day of af, and has now fallen spectacularly from 36.60 (cd 1, usually around 36.35 on cd 1) down to 35.89 on cd 2 Hmm. Very heavy, painful period too that kept me awake last night Hmm
It is odd that we're all synchronised - though nun's we're not!
I am going to force myself to the gym now..
Oh and mean to say Hippy I feel very much as you do - I am starting to think things may not happen (maybe the ease that I conceived ds - first time trying at 39) was in fact the so-called 'fertility rush' you get before pre-menopause? Confused. Feel ok, but as you say quite melancholy. Oh and CB also had a mc before Leo, (and one after too from what I've read) Sad.
Right, better get my gym bag. Back later x

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 12:17

theirs not there's!

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 12:16

Thanks for reminding me curly - I will not forget againBlush - Hippy taps her addled old brain!

So you are a bit younger than me - I too had a MMC last feb as did BB. Sad to think we should all have had little ones now Sad Ahh well, must not bring things down. Sorry the preggo tests arrived - how shit is that!

jolls love the idea of cherie telling tony that they have to do the deed. Think there's was more of a happy accident!

Curlylox · 03/02/2011 11:45

hippy I'm 43 will be 44 in May and had a mc last year at 10+1 on 6th Feb. Got to run have dentist appoitment at noon, yikes. Flaming pregnancy tests turned up this morning.

OP posts:
SameOldJollster · 03/02/2011 11:36

yeah and I doubt TB had the sort of schedule that allowed for SMEP... Hmm.

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 11:26

Grin It's funny you should say that cos there was a thing on the tv about women having babies at an older age etc and they quoted that Cherie was 45 when she had her last baby and my DS1 said, "Hey, Mum, there you go, you can have one after all!"

(Mind you this is from a nearly 11 year old who thinks you only have to do it once to get pregnant - and he's not 100% sure what IT is!)

SameOldJollster · 03/02/2011 11:14

hippy two words
Cherie
Blair
xx

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 11:10

Thanks curly for your thoughts. I think i'd probaby say the same if someone else was asking for advise. Maybe I'll just keep trying for a bit longer - but I am getting on a bit Sad. remind me can you please, how old are you? Have you had any MC's? I think i keep getting you muddled up with spotty Blush just cos spotty and curly are both descriptive words, i think!

Lovely, that your hubbie waited and cuddled you last night. It's nice when they appreciate how we are feeling. Smile
