Panashe i counted the first day of bleeding as cd1.Hope you re ok?

YEH!!!!!!!!!!!! Much fabulous.Wink Just know Feb is a good month for "us" collectively.Get to it girl XXX

Diege marking ok?

BB not out of the running yet ? Big FX for you.XXX

Fifi lovely story XX

Last counselling session yesterday was very good. Then tea out with friends catching up on gossip.Just recieved a phone call from the delivery suite ward manager where I delivered Georgie. From Georgie's charity we raised £1500+ we wanted 2 items to be bought.A remembrance book and memory boxes. We were given a lovely memory box. There was no remembrance book on the ward, it was in the chapel and any entries were charged at £10.I totally disagree with this as i work for the trust and know the funds would not have been ring fenced. So the delivery suite staff asked for a remembrance book which is embossed with Georgie's name and date of birth. In our trust we have a magazine so they are to take photos and publish our story to hilight Georgie's plight and the excellant delivery suite staff.

Cd2 here awaiting delivery of my opks.Yeh come on.Feel very positive about this month. My odds are very good since having Georgie i ve ovulated once and concieved once!!![All be it a CP].Feb is the monthGrin

hippychick66 · 04/02/2011 12:11

What i meant really was it was like being back to the start. When i went for my scan I had finished bleeding and they said I had a thin lining like you would have when your period has just finished. If you are wondering when you will ov - I would say it will be just a bit later than normal. It takes a few days for the hormones to drop and for the whole cycle to start again. I think after both my MC's I ov'd about 7 days later than normal. Sorry if i confused you there.

panashe · 04/02/2011 12:01

Morning hippy just on way out, but what did they say was CD1 ? The first day of bleeding with mc ?

hippychick66 · 04/02/2011 11:59

jolls hope little jolly is better soon. My youngest is nearly 8 so we haven't had a lot to do with Thomas the Tank engine for a while here either.

hippychick66 · 04/02/2011 11:57

jolls I want one of those trademark hugs ... please???

I have been scraping paint off of an old metal door - don't ask! It has well and truelly set my teeth on edge. (and my neck hurts now Wink)

Have just spotted this Wine. How wonderful darlings.

panache sorry to hear you were in tears last night as well. But I think you need to grieve after a loss and acknowledge what you've missed out on.Sad

re: your decision about when to ttc again - I waited a month after an EPRC but when i had a complete natural MC I didn't wait. Like you, I'd had a scan to confirm all gone and they said it was just the same as being at CD1. Quite sad really how quickly it's all forgotten by the body (but good in a way - IYSWIM Confused)

panashe · 04/02/2011 11:14

My hair is in desperate need of dying and stupid but felt really conscious of it yesterday at epu.

Hope you got some sleep last night Sameold and that your DS is on the mend soon, my youngest is 12 and Thomas is a distant memory...

SameOldJollster · 04/02/2011 11:02

morning all
panashe, that's reminded me, apparently when I was a baby, my 18 year old bro and 15 year old sis used to take me out and people would assume I was their child. And often my dad would be mistaken for my grandad (he was 45 when I was born). And I remember my mum telling me that the only reason she dyed her hair was for me, so that I didn't feel she was the oldest mum at the school gate (she probably was, but it didn't bother me in the slightest! I remember feeling it was cool I had proper grown up siblings!!)

Am still under house arrest with DS who is still poorly so no nursery for him break for me today. Thank the lord for Thomas DVDs...

And the winner of the Jollstersqueeze(TM) for Friday is..... Gum xx

panashe · 04/02/2011 10:47

hello gumblossom thanks for your kind words. Don't know what your situation is with your DH but I know lying in bed with your OH, biting back tears is a lonely place to be :( I could have talked all night to my dp about mc, but he was exhausted after 12 hour shift and as he fell asleep I lay there in tears.

Trying to decide whether to start ttc when bleeding stops or wait until after af. Have never used OPK and don't really want to but ask me again in 3 months. It took us 4 cycles to conceive last time.

hippy clicking neck cured by lots of SWI Wink
I smiled when I read what you said about the 20 year olds,I wonder that if (WHEN)I have a baby am sure if I am out with my oldest dd people would think it hers !

hippychick66 · 04/02/2011 09:29

sorry gum crossed posts with you but didn't realise.

I DO NOT blame you for wanting to strangle your DH down the phone - I would too. God, you really are going through the mill at the moment. Do you think he was serious about the condoms. I think I'd have said, well you can bring 'em home but you wont be using 'em on me!!!

I wish I could say something helpful and clever but it seems like you are both at such different places. I understand you not wanting to 'trick' him into another baby but i think you are well within your rights to refuse to use condoms and if he still agrees to sex then he knows what he's getting into.

He thought about pulling out but didn't - so he's not THAT against TTCing. Thinking of you, lovie. X

hippychick66 · 04/02/2011 08:59

That's right jolls I think we both happened along at about the same time and fifi was on there then. I see what the doctor means about if you're oving and your period are regular what did you expect - but once we get over 40 we tend to assume it wont happen rather than it will. Good for you fifi. I am gonna come back next year to gee up all the new people and tell them about the baby I had at 45 Wink

jolls ???? Confused are you suggesting I am a hypocondriach? Bloody cheek, Mrs! By the way panache can you just ask your partner why my neck keeps clicking? Wink

I think it's CD1 today. still a bit spotty rather than flowy - my Af never comes in with a bang - more of a whimper!

gumblossom · 03/02/2011 23:33

Oh Hello, Fifi, long time no see...I used to be called angifi, I remember you from the older 40's thread. You are an inspiration. Hoping I'll follow soon.

Beatie sorry about the BFN, but it's still early isn't it?

Hello,Penashe, so sorry about you mc. It's awful. I hope you can get your BFP and sticky bean soon.

Louise, I actually had a look on ebay for a cbfm and thought, "Oh what the heck, I'll buy it!", so I've ordered it from the UK - it was the best deal I could find, I got the monitor and 20 sticks for 71 pounds, but there were cheaper ones on Amazon - but they wouldn't post out to Oz.I bought it from HomeHealthuk, and also ordered extra sticks and digital pregnancy tests (which are really pricey in Oz). Of course I won't even have to unwrap the cbfm, because February is my month too!

Not sure though, about my DH. Sometimes wish I could just order in some donor sperm. I spoke to him on the phone before he came home from work and he said he'd cook dinner, to which I replied, "You cook and you'll get lucky", and his reply: "Should I pick up some condoms then?". I would have like to reach down the phone and strangle him. I remained calm, and said,"why would you do that", and his response was, "yes, it might ruin the romance I suppose". YOU SUPPOSE????

Then when it came to it, afterwards he said, I was going to pull out, but couldn't manage it. I felt so sad, so just lay there in the dark biting back tears. I feel like I might have misunderstood him, or maybe he thinks I won't be devastated if we don't ttc. I just can't talk to him about it at the moment cos I'm feeling so confused. And, honestly, I just want to put my head in the sand and keep SWI whether he likes it or not.

Obviously there's a communication breakdown, and with ovulation coming up, I might have to sort it out. F*&k it!

God, I wish we were on the same page. It is hard enough...sighSad

SameOldJollster · 03/02/2011 21:29

PS oh and Fifi, I think you were on a rollcall of the first 40+ thread I joined. You are our inspiration!! :) :) :)

SameOldJollster · 03/02/2011 21:27

Hi panashe - so glad you dropped by.

Shattered as DS still poorly and can hear my bed calling but just had to say ROFL AT THE THOUGHT OF HIPPY HAVING A MEDICAL PARTNER...Poor bloke!!! GrinGrinGrin

BeattieBow · 03/02/2011 19:43

hi all, blimey you've been busy! I went to bed early last night with a stonking headache and have been in meetings all day today so no time to catch up.

Anyway 10dpo here, and did a test this morning....BFN! no af yet. still sore boobs (but progesterone). So Lou I'm not your cycle buddy, or anyones!

So just waiting for af to turn up and trying not to test every morning from now on.

Hello Panashe - so sorry about your mc, Sadly alot of us on here (all of us I think) have now gone through a mc. it's shit. anyway, hope your stay here is short and sweet.

Woohoo on the smiley face muchlove!

fifitot · 03/02/2011 19:41

Not sure if that's clear or not. DC 1 at 42, DC2 at 46.

fifitot · 03/02/2011 19:40

Yes Hippychick - seen you on some threads but can't think which!

Anyway if it helps here we go........

Took 12 months of TTC, got pg on the 12th cycle, the one I vowed would be my last attempt. I only started TTC at 42, had a mc after getting pg after 2 attempts (!) then a month later got pg with DC1.

I temped using FF so knew when fertile days were. Luckily had a good and regular cycle. I took some of the Deanna plan on board and basically we had sex from around DAy 14 (I used to OV around day 17)until I got the temp rise. Also used OPKs as back up for extra info. I swear by temping though, found it really helpful.

Didn't take any supplements other than a multi vitamin. Made sure I lay with legs in the air for 15 mins after sex - not sure if it helped though!

Doing this for 12 months was hard going but ulitmately paid off.

I think I was fortunate that despite my age I had no fertility issues. When I told my GP I was pg and quite suprised he did say, 'well if you are ovulating and your periods are regular....what did you expect?'!!!!

HTH. I will check in again and please ask away if I can help I will.

panashe · 03/02/2011 19:37

Thanks curly dp finishes at 8 and can't wait to see him

muchlove you and me both then

muchlove · 03/02/2011 18:49

CURLY I use IC sticks for leading up to OV then I get the BIG GUNS out to confirm once I see a strong enough line on the cheapos....
big guns being Clearblue Digi OPKs ...man I just luuurve that smileyface.....

I have been OVing around CD10 - CD13 for the last 7months so got thrown by this months possy on CD13 (prob means I will OV tonight or 2moro).......

Ooooh errr yeah did sound a bit weird I spose saying we will get you upduffed .... I meant we will give advice and fountains of knowledge to help in your quest Grin

How goes it BB any news/twinges/weird boobs ??????

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 17:42

Yes curly unfortunately one thing we do all have experience of is disappointment and heartache. But the good thing is we all know how shit you feel right now panache and we usually make sure that we are not all feeling crap at the same time so there's always someone to cheer people up.

If I had a partner who was a nurse I'd drive him insane .. showing him rashes, lumps and general things I was worried about Grin

Curlylox · 03/02/2011 16:34

Be kind to yourself panashe....it sounds like you have a great Dp and DC. We're here for you if the need arises.

OP posts:
panashe · 03/02/2011 16:29

I did wonder Hippy thought dp might start getting all excited at thought of group up-duffing !?!

panashe · 03/02/2011 16:27

Thanks muchlove, dp is a nurse and had taken time off and swopped shifts etc last week so I went alone today, so although we have spoken a few times am sure there will be a few more tears tonight.

So you trying for your fifth ? :)

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 16:24

ps. My BiscuitBiscuit's really piss me off. despite all the evidence that AF is most definitely coming today or tomorrow they insist on throbbing away (they are always the last to know - bless 'em).

hippychick66 · 03/02/2011 16:22

muchlove you are gonna try and get panache up-duffed?????? Confused I think that smiley face has sent you a bit nuts Grin

Seriously, well done on the smiley face. I know what you mean it does give one re-newed vigor! Go for it girl!

Does anyone else look at all the preggo 20-something out there and think blimey if they knew I was trying to get preggers they'd be shocked??? I know when I was young I thought people over 40 were so old. But we'll have the last laugh on them wont we sisters (Hippy gets a bit carried away with all the solidarity!)

italian have you found the new thread yet - whooo who over here!!
