lou had a quick look at www.ashes-to-glass.com as a good friend mentioned this is passing when her Dad passed away. What a lovely concept, there are some great testimonials made me weep as I read them.

Oh Billericay!!!! There's a lot of links!!! No, im not from Billericay but we re going to Billericay soon as that s where "Ashes to Glass" is where we are taking Georgie's ashes.

My dh LOVES Gavin and Stacey.!!!!!

BeattieBow · 07/02/2011 13:55

jolls my dh was born in Billericay too! He lived there for about 10 years I think and then moved to Suffolk. (in laws live in Frinton now which is a very odd place).

Hope you feel better soon - I have a twisted pelvis apparently too - my back has given me problems ever since dd2 was born, and goes with no warning too. I keep meaning to take up pilates to try and strengthen my core muscles (which are non-existent) up a little.

Still no af here. Just getting impatient for it to show now. Have caved in and made appointment with scary clinic boss as am at a loss where to go from here Confused. feeling very tired today (another trip to gymboree) and watching Mr Tumble now with ds2 (why is Mr Tumble hanging spotty bras up on a washing line?? Who does the Bra belong to- is there a Mrs Tumble?).
louise I dtd after ov sometimes, but only accidentally. I usually can't be bothered by that stage! But this month it will all be different...

SameOldJollster · 07/02/2011 13:04

gum I have a special empathy with G&S as I was born in Billericay, where Gav is from.

lou yeah I used to have chiro a lot with previous back problems, have twisted pelvis. It's easing a bit, will ice again soon.

haven't swum for ages - should start again, maybe that'd help...

louisesh · 07/02/2011 12:59

Gum have you just got Gavin and Stacey? Yes its excellant.Cd 8 already .Enjoy XXXX

Jolls hope you re back feels better soon? Have you been to a choriopractitioner [sp] before?

Hope all are well. Not much to report here.Very windy , the weather not me!!!!! Awaiting my reflexology.Hopefully package will come from Amazon tomorrow Wink.Been swimming this am so good deed for the day done now!!!!

gumblossom · 07/02/2011 12:01

Oh Jolls, that's awful. I feel for you, I have had a few back problems, and it makes everything so difficult. Poor you, after all this time look after you ill LO.

Loise, I suspect I also fall pregnant when we do the deed on the day I feel the O pain, but that doesn't always mean I will O that day, although, I usually get the temperature rise the day after.I find it really hard to fit in that last SWI the day after O.It feels just , too, hard!

It's such awful news about Amanda Holden, as it would be about anyone losing a baby at any stage. It must be extra hard when you are in the public eye. Did she have a late loss last year too?

Well, it's CD8 today, so if I were to do the SMEP like everyone else, I'll have to get into the sexy underwear...pity I haven't got any. Nudity will have to do!

Hope everyone is well. Deige, hope you're getting through the marking. That's one part of teaching that I really don't like! You are dedicated to take on extra.

I saw the TV show Gavin and Stacey for the first time last week. It's fab isn't it? I loved it, and will be watching from now on.I've only seen two episodes, and I look forward to more.

Better go.Time to get DS into bed.

SameOldJollster · 07/02/2011 11:32

Morning all
DS finally on the mend. Was contemplating actually leaving the bloody house today as he has no temp, and is just snotty and a bit red eyed and has a bit of a cough. Was thinking a jaunt to the park, feed the geese and the squirrels, some nice fresh air...

There I am stripping his bed, and something pings in my back... ConfusedAngry.

So here we are at home again...have iced it and taken painkillers. Hopefully I will walk again.... Wink...

Hope everyone else having a better start to the week... x

louisesh · 06/02/2011 21:32

BB you may be missing ovulation if you only bd on the "O" day surely? Unless maybe you are 100 % correct on the day.Confused.I always swi ,according to the ems plan on that day then 2 more days then 1 day off then 1 last go1!!!

Italiangreyhound · 06/02/2011 14:34

Holden not Holder

Italiangreyhound · 06/02/2011 14:34

So sorry to hear about Amanda Holder. Celebrity can't stop bad things happening. Hope the press leave her alone to grieve.

BeattieBow · 06/02/2011 14:23

Hi all, interesting about Dtd after ov. I am going to try that this month. We always stop on day of ov, in fact I think it is quite rare for me to do it on day. So who knows... Dh on side for smep anyway.

Oh yes jolls I know!

Well done on getting back in the saddle panashe I think me and dh had ishoos a long time after my mmc. He was just in such a different place to me.

panashe · 06/02/2011 13:35

heartbreaking for Amanda Holden

louisesh · 06/02/2011 13:09

Poor,Poor Amanda Holden.Sad feel very sorry for her.The only silver linning i can see , selfishly, is hopefully in time she will talk about her experience and late mcs/stillbirth will be out there.

Evens out really in a horrible kind of way!!! Earlier in the day i was chuntering to Ant about posh "yes, of course shes having a girl!!!Why wouldn t she????? She lives a wonderful life and gets everything she wants......blah,blah,blah..." Then this happens.Wonder if she ll post on MN at some point????

Hi Much well done you XXX

muchlove · 06/02/2011 12:04

Morning All

Yes LOU I have been SWIing like a bastard Grin have completed my SMEP for this month....
Feel a bit isolated on my cycle with you lot all in sync... Oh dear its gonna be messy this 'shagfest' that's coming up...I will be coming up to testing whilst you lot will be in the throws of passion ......
BB Sorry bout the BFN sweet but at least you know all is okay inside and its just a matter of time until......

I gotta theory on timing (for me personally) I think for me to achieve PGncy I have to dtd on day of OV and day after.....I dont think the sperm can hang around in me long (as they did when I was younger) so may have to just go for that nxt month Hmm..... Do any of you remember your timings for your PGncys

ITALIAN Yay for AF - you back in the race girrrrl......

LOU Lovely story about Georgie girl.....your MIL sounds like a total 'twit' but as you say it's her loss [she gotta live with herself] x

Now its my nightoff tonight and have to give it another bash tomorrow......phew.......

Love to you all xxxxx

SameOldJollster · 06/02/2011 12:01

BB ZT is soft play behind Hove Station (so not that far from you I would have thought?), you know in that stretch between Newtown Rd and the railway line? £3.95 for 90 mins. Small cafe. DS loves it.

Such sad news about Amanda Holden; to go through that must be terrible, but in the public eye must be extra hard :(.

Hope all is ok with everyone.

BeattieBow · 06/02/2011 07:00

jolls what's ZT? (couldn't work it out!). My girls like to go to B&HG, but ds hasn't really gone recently.

BeattieBow · 06/02/2011 06:58

bfn for me this morning - not unexpected, and I feel ok, just sad.

so I am going to stop the progesterone I think, even though the dr said my af would come anyway - I want it to come as quickly as possible. I'll also have the consultation with scary clinic boss and see what she suggests.

Gum glad you and dh have reached an understanding of sorts. Good luck to everyone this Feb. March is more my month - 2 of my dcs have January birthdays (poor things).

Still shredding away here, 5lb down in one week Shock v pleased. Today I have to go into work for a bit, but will be shredding again later on. I am also dabbling with the dukan diet after someone at work told me how well it worked for her sister. Have been eating meat and fat free yoghurt for the last 3 days which isn't pleasant, but has had results.

Whose up for testing next? muchlove?

louisesh · 05/02/2011 23:57

X posts Gum .Glad all has settled with dh.All looks good for you this month.

I m going to keep spreading my positive vibes as they seem to be working.

Thanks about Georgie's charity. She did very, very well.As for mil well shes the one suffering and missing out.

Anyhow i m not wasting any energy on her.

Chink,chink Wine

louisesh · 05/02/2011 23:53

Yes Curly thats it!!! We swi every 2 days from cd8,start opk testing on cd10 but we ALL know i ll be testing from about oh now!!!! .Then bd every other day to pos on opk then 3 nights, night off then one last go!!!!

OMG we are ALL going to be up duffed with the smep this month!!!!!

Its a growing group our cycle buddies isn t it?

Nicole Hi ....We re look foreward to your "bopping" next week!!! No, its a swiz but you can t buy the applicator.Every month you have to buy the pack with it all!!!! [they certainly know how to make money out of us lot!!!]

Jolls hope your son gets better soon.X

BB oh i have a little feeling for you.My fingers are so tightly crossed they re dropping off!!!! Good luck XXXX

Hippy smep, smep, smep!!!! I sound like i bloody work for "it" !!!!

Hope Much is swi while we talk!!!

Hi Gum and everyone else.Diege XXX

Just seen "Black swan" anyone seen it? ok a bit odd....Hmm

Af tapering off.Good.Like it when its ending. Now the fun starts.I m in dh good books as let him have loads of x box time to keep "relations" in harmony for the next 2 weeks.1 good turn deserves another.[whoever said marriage wasn t a bargaining relationship!!!]

gumblossom · 05/02/2011 23:40

Count me in! AF finished a couple of days ago, and already I've managed a couple of SWOI's. THing is, because my DH is completely in the dark, he thinks every time is SWI. Perhaps I'll tell him the fertile window is over before it starts so he'll be more relaxed and think I'm hot for him...I am most of the time anyway, but YKWIM?At least there has been no more talk of pulling out or condoms, thank goodness.

Anyhow, Italian that is GREAT news about the return of AF. SO pleased for you! Get some ovulation predictor sticks so you can catch the next egg.I use the cheapie ones off ebay, and they seem fine, but I don't always catch the surge - I think it is because they say test in the afternoon/evening and my surge is usually in the morning. I often have ovary pain, then I test and it is usually positive. So I do waste many tests testing morning and afternoon. It's all for a good cause though!

BB, any more news on the testing front? Hippy, how about you, is RTD here? Do you feel okay about it? You seem to be in a really settled place about TTC.

Jolls, sorry to hear your LO has been so ill. I hope he is on the mend soon. He must be very close in age to my DS? My DS had his 2nd birthday in August.

I can't believe how easy the weaning has been. He's hardly asked for it at all. It really was time, and it makes me feel better about getting pregnant. I found it quite hard to keep BFing DS and got so irritable about it.

Lou, well done on raising so much money with Georgie's charity. What a lovely thing to do. And Shock at your MIL. The way some family members behave is unbelievable. I read Susan's blog yesterday and it was about her parents. Bloody mind-boggling. It's here

Italiangreyhound · 05/02/2011 22:55

Curly sounds exciting, must give it a go.

Curlylox · 05/02/2011 22:22

Jolls hope your ds gets better soon.

OP posts:
Curlylox · 05/02/2011 22:19

You, me, lou diege, possibly gum and think hippy nearly there? The SMEP is:
"curly have you seen the Sperm Meets Egg Plan??

Maybe it's time for hard core....

(not for the faint hearted, basically you swi every other day from the end of your period or day 8 (I can't remember which) until you get a positive on an opk. and then you swi for 3 days running. Miss a day, and then swi one more time). My dh would faint at this, but Tank and others have had success with this. )" suggested by BB.

Re the OPK - ovulation predictor kits, from what I gather you can either get cheapy ones (sticks you pee on aka poas) off Ebay, Access Diagnostics or Homehealth UK and or the more expensive ones that show a smiley face instead of a line (cheapy ones) to confirm that you're about to and/or you are ovulating. Anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, would hate to give out incorrect info.

OP posts:
Italiangreyhound · 05/02/2011 21:21

No idea why, could be thyroid, or just the influence of the sngug! Spooky!

I'm gonna have to try the SMEP? what is it and where do I get these OPKs (and what is an OPK??).

Love to all.

PS How many of us are actually on our af at the moment???

SameOldJollster · 05/02/2011 20:44

BB we haven't been, though I've been inside, my best friend with older childen loved it. As a former retailer I try and avoid the square tbh!! Prefer B&HGym and ZT for bouncing about :)

No bouncing at the moment though, DS still under the weather, he slept on and off most of the day :(. Watery eyes, runny nose, and very lethargic. Temp dropped though. But he's never been ill this long, it's very disconcerting.

Hippy sorry about the BFN. V impressed at the SWOI though! SFF, what's that about??!!

Italian what welcome news - you must be relieved.

Can't help but feel a bit left out of this synchronised group cycle ... Grin.

Off to bed soon, exhausting work this nursing lark. x
