panashe · 17/02/2011 12:18

lou life seems so unfair sometimes, I haven't got the life I thought I would have(exdh had affair for 5years and now lives 6000 miles away) and its really f**king hard sometimes.I know your situation much harder but you will get through it :)

muchlove · 17/02/2011 12:02

Hi Girls
Sorry not been around much but have also had a family bereavment this week so its been a bit sad round these parts....... AF here today but its okay i have my head round it and will just muddle on with things......will be back here soon when feeling up to it......
Good luck to all the SWIers and hello to all the new girls and TTT is quite correct make sure you do day before day of and day after OV.....I think thats the best chance you can give yourselves.....I did that last month and will do it this month again....

Speak soon xx

BeattieBow · 17/02/2011 11:52

oh lou you will get the life you deserve, i know you will. ((((hugs))))

gum sounds promising! You are supposed to be more fertile just after a mc.

as for me, all my tests (thyroid etc) came back normal. so no explanation at all yet for lack of getting pg or disappearing periods. Quite frustrating because I really do feel that something is wrong and that I won't get pg until it is fixed.

Envious of you all having ovulated already!

hopefulgum · 17/02/2011 11:40

hello everyone.

Jolls, sorry about the bfn.It sucks.I hope next month is the ONE!

Lou, sorry you are feeling crap.Perfectly understandable. I do hope your bfp is soon, soon, soon. You are doing all the right things, so rest assured, you'll get your little one soon.

I spent the day emptying the linen closet. So full! So I chucked a great deal out, packed a heap of it up for charity, and dedicated a shelf to all the baby stuff and tiny clothes.I'm not getting rid of it yet, and if it has a place in my closet, it feels like it will happen eventually.

My pregnant friend had a "show" today, so it won't be long til her little boy is born. I feel okay about it now, but I don't know how I'll go when I see him for the first time. I just have to believe it will happen really soon for me too.

I had heartburn today and remember having it very early on with the last pregnancy (it started at 3 dpo and I never get it any other time).I'm hoping it's a good sign, but don't want to get my hopes up and come crashing down if/when AF turns up.

Ahh ...just so looking forward to us all having a beautiful baby bump, trouble free pregnancies and healthy take home babies. Smile

hippychick66 · 17/02/2011 11:29

lou ((())) You WILL get the life you so justly deserve and one day you'll look back at these posts and smile and think of Georgie and how far you've come and how much you're life has changed.... whooo spooky just how right Hippy is Wink

louisesh · 17/02/2011 10:44

Hi all.

BB my brother and his "horrible" wife have just set off to travel the world for 7 months they sold their house. He is a copper and they have let him have an unpaid sabbatical where as the witch [she is a lawyer] had only been in her job for a year wouldn t give her sabbatical so she left her job1!!!! All this 11 months after they bought their "dream" home to raise kids in !!!!![They ve no kids!!!].To me it seemed a nightmare haveing 1 rucksack to take 7 months of clothes!!!! 23kgs isn t enough for me for 2 weeks Hmm

Arh buggeration Jolls back to it.....come on ems plan XXX

Hi Hippy ok? start of plan yeh.....Wink

Panashe hope you re ok?

Hi to all....Much,Italian and Gum XXXX

Feel pissed off today....woke up feeling i m fed up of where i m at .I want the life i should have not this crap Sad....its so hard to remain positive....but what choice do i have??????

Today is the last day of swi.....So want to be pg [as i know we all do].

panashe · 17/02/2011 10:17

Morning :)

Jolls you ok ? you sound quite upbeat, I think having a lo does keep you preoccupied. Your day sounded lovely. I had a glass of wine or 2 last night, dp big Arsenal fan so was over moon with result last night which lead to more swi....

Thanks lol and BeattieBow don't you just hate hormones and how much they control you.

Half term here next week which I love, a break from the school run, netball, football, after school classes etc etc Cups of tea in bed made by my lovely dc Hmm

BeattieBow · 17/02/2011 09:51

oh hippy my 10yo has a facebook page. I have full access to it and know who her friends are too. She doesnt' use it much actually - she prefers to email her friends incessantly.

BeattieBow · 17/02/2011 09:50

hi all. panashe I think it's normal to feel up and down after a mc - I did for a long time after mine last year. I also wondered whether my excessive eating over Christmas last year (I ate cheese and whatever I wanted really) contributed to my mc, but agree with hippy I think it is more likely just to be a bad egg.

Anyway smep started here, and dh is fully on board for once which is good! got a high on the monitor this morning too which means that ovulation probably isn't too far away - sometimes I have had to wait for day 20 which means alot of swi!

dh less sure about moving jobs today but still seeing recruitment man tomorrow. My alternative plan is that we both jack in our jobs for a year and travel round the world. would love to do that. Of course small matter of whether our jobs would be open for us to come back to and mortgages and things like that. But I'd do it in a shot if dh agreed. (with a tiny baby of course!).

hippychick66 · 17/02/2011 09:36

jolls pissy crappy buggery news about AF arriving - boo hiss. But, what a lovely day with your DS Grin. I think he was good in the shop cos Auntie Hippy told him to be Wink.

I think I should ov today. Have pains but they could be hunger as I have not been eating much the last couple of days due to concerns about a dodgy tummy. We will also continue sex after I think I've ov'd. Blimey these men are soooo bloody lucky - how many men in their 40's get this much sex ??? (Not including you ladies with toy boys Grin)

I set my DS1 up on facebook yesterday, he is only allowed to be friends with a small section of his friends from his class and if ANYONE asks to be his friend he is to alert me immediately. Plus I must know his password at all times - he was ok with all of that and explained to me, "Mum, we've had the internet safety talk like 3 times already at school!!"

Ho hum - the joys of having an almost 11 year old.

ps. Hippy repeats to herself, I must not go on to his facebook and say that he is wearing ladies knickers to school or somesuch rubbish.....very tempted though!! Grin

lolfactor · 16/02/2011 22:24

Panache so sorry - it's the first I've read about your mc. I don't know about you, but I'm clinging on to the post about Fifi. 46! We've all got time yet. My partner (7 years younger) also wants 2 children - he's going to have to settle for 1. If this little bean sticks, I'm going to count my blessings and kick some babydust over someone else's way.

Jolls what a bummer. But it means you can get started again asap. Fresh 11.11.11 hope!

all thanks for your support and advice. Stats are now officially banned from the house. Fingers crossed for the anomaly scan. Let us know how it goes.

BeattieBow · 16/02/2011 21:33

Am so pleased for you TTT - will you find out the sex?

Sad jolls but good L P , are you taking stuff for that?

Sorry am typing on iPad it's not easy it keeps auto correcting me!

It's funny you said that about day after ov TTT as I had just been thinking that and that I would carry on this month. Well that's a long way away only cd8.

Good luck Tina I had also heard about stress just stopping ovulation not conception.

Dh is seeing recruitment person on Friday. He thinks there aren't many jobs out there which will help us stay in B but not do much for his misery about his job.

TipTopTank · 16/02/2011 21:17

Oh poo jolly that's crap. Glad you had a nice day otherwise though.

BB Brighton is much nice than London - hands down...

So excited everyone is doing "The Plan". Flicked back and noticed a discussion about missing the day after ov and that being signficant - am sure that is where we were going wrong. Before we did "The Plan" I was so focused on swi for days and days that by the time I got the ov pain, I usually gave up. Yet, when we did the EMSp, I was getting the pos opk on the day before ov pain. So that meant we were swi day before pain, day of ov pain and the day after. I'm pretty sure I was pg both months we did the plan anyway...

Thanks Hippy 20 weeks today - we are popping down to London next week for a anomaly scan.

lunatics wee one will no doubt appreciate the hat. He is out of special care now, and his name is Lewis. Gives you a little warm glow, doesn't it Smile

Fingers crossed for everyone!

(Waves at all the new people)

SameOldJollster · 16/02/2011 20:10

hey Tina, be scared. Hippy's got you on her radar...Grin. Agree on the stress thing. Hope all gets calmer.

Have had a really lovely day today, helped by some really smashing south coast weather. DS was an angel in the shoe shop, and had his feet measured like a pro! Of course he didn't need any shoes!!!!! Can't believe his feet haven't grown since end September!! She said that was common? Don't grow much in winter, do in summer?? Anyway, saved me some cash as it's not exactly a cheap shop (as you say BB), but good to support independents, and Clarks not much cheaper tbh. Then we had a smashing time in the park, and the cafe for lunch. Then our weekly music session which was quiet today (illness about) and DS loved the smaller group. Then the station for some trainspotting (typical boy!). Then home for fun play, supper, stress free bath and bed... all really lovely.

In other news, bastard witch evil period arrived full blown in about 2 hours...! What was that all about???? Have never had a pattern like that. 3 days of really light occasional spotting, then 3 days of nothing, then wham bam here I am! Anyway I'm not too disappointed, I've just opened some wine and will now enjoy a little flurry of birthdays coming up in the next week.

I make it 2 more chances to have a 2011 baby. Here's hoping Hmm.

TinaO99 · 16/02/2011 15:44

hey hippy yes she does and sh'e appalled lol, says she's going to leave home if I have one as everyone will think she's the mother, I'm insulted as I don't think I look that old

you've all given me such comfort thankyou so much, was beginning to think it never happens to anyone over the age of 40, stupid I know as it obviously does

am thinking now though that there may be an issue with the soldiers but hubby is going to dr's next week to get a sample checked, he smokes quite heavily and if that is affecting him I'm not sure if he'll be willing or able to give up despite the fact he's desperate to have a child too!

hi to curly and thanks to louise too!

Curlylox · 16/02/2011 14:06

Just dropping by to say hello and welcome to tina. Will catch up with you all very very soon Smile

OP posts:
hippychick66 · 16/02/2011 13:31

tina I have put all your info in my brain and will remember you now Wink.

I agre that stress can only effect TTC if it actally stops you ovulating. Once you've ov'd and the sperm (troops) are in place then it's up to them whether they make a baby or not. People conceive in bloody war-zones FFS!!!!

Sorry to hear you've had a huge hiccup in your marriage - it sounds like it is back on track now. Does your 20 year old know you're trying for a baby sis or bro???

lou Grin would hate to think I was upsetting you, Mrs. XXX

BeattieBow · 16/02/2011 12:45

I'm not getting my bfp this month. I'll get mine next month because I like to inflict January birthdays on my children (2 so far poor things!).

and it'll probably be twins too after I take clomid!
and I'll be in Vietnam when I find out/start feeling crap/start worrying about miscarriage.

but you can all get yours this month.

starting with Jolls

louisesh · 16/02/2011 12:11

No Hippy the talk of 11/11/11 is not upsetting me.Please don t worry!!! Wink.Anyhow seeing as we are ALL going to get our bfps this month some of you can have 11/11/11 babies.I would be having GBOS at 37 weeks so my edd would be middle of October. So thats ok!!!

JollS have you nerves of steel? no testing up to this point well done that girl!!! XX

Tina I know "they" say stress doesn t help when ttc but my understanding is it only hinders when it gets to the point where the stress is causing you problems ovulating. So don t worry.X

Panashe take care of yourself....3 weeks is only a short period of time.No you didn t do anyhting wrong by having a few drinks befor you knew.If we put everything on hold we 'd never do anyhting,If you [as in us] as going to mc we are its destined!!!!! I did everything right with Georgie no drinks bar 1 small glass of champagne at my sisters wedding in Aug and shes still not here. Not saying next time i'd piss it up the wall but until i know i ll keep haveing a couple of cheeky vinos!!!!

Oh this was only suppose to be a short post!!!!!

Oh Hippy yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!for smiley face.....we are all virtually in synch , well done on swi xxxx BB ,s only a couple of days behind also!!!!

TinaO99 · 16/02/2011 11:50

hi hippy I have one daughter who's 20 this year from my first marriage, I have had one very early MC/chemical pregnancy since starting to try for a second child last september, my husband actually left me for a while last aug bank holiday, a few days after he left I found I was pregnant then lost it a few days later, could have been the stress but more likely something wrong with it, when we got back together (after a horrible few months for both of us) in november, we started trying again properly in December

never thought I'd feel so devastated when I had an MC but i think I thought at the time the pregnancy would bring my husband back to me, probably for the best since i would't have wanted him to come back for the wrong reasons (well they were right sort of but i wanted him to want me too!) Things are wonderful now and we appreciate each other so much more but I still feel very anxious about him straying again at some point in the future despite the strength of our marriage now and I wonder if this is having a detrimental affect on my ability to conceive :-(

hippychick66 · 16/02/2011 11:02

Grin at little BB in his velcro kickers - ahh bless him.

Hope it all works out for you BB - I know it's early days.

My DH is always telling me we are gonna have twins - he had a vision!!! (Not his usual thing, i hasten to add).

BeattieBow · 16/02/2011 10:54

Hi Jolls I was in that very shoe shop on Saturday. had to remortgage after buying 2 lots of school shoes and some shoes for ds2. Bought him some very cute little kickers though - lovely! (and velcro so easy to get on and off).

Envious of you in my park! I'm stuck at work grr. (beware mud there, we had to leave early after a mud-bath incident!). We've been in B since summer 2006. Missed London for ages afterwards and really wanted to move back. Not so sure now!

panashe they do say twins are more likely the older you get. I'm slightly concerned that I may get twins if I go on clomid eek!

hippy job search very early days so not making plans yet. I suppose one plus side would be that he could get such a huge salary increase that I could give up work and stay put! But that's not likely, so we'll play it by ear. We'd have to go somewhere quite cheap if we did move back! It could be that it just makes him appreciate what he's got and decides to stay where he is.

panashe · 16/02/2011 10:48

Not sure my body would agree with you hippy but dp does have dd so I might be off hook, on otherhand I may embrace motherhood so much second time round that I copulate indefinately Grin
