OP posts:

Sorry tina - I was hoping your colleague had the gift. What a naughty hubbie, blimey they really are like little boys who can't stop playing with those things arn't they Grin. Serves him right if he has to go through it all again. Onward and upward I guess.

I love anything with time travel or paradoxes etc and I totally love that they are 2 years apart etc. If anyone hasn't watched it - then do it! (before Hippy spoils the whole plot for you).

TinaO99 · 29/03/2011 11:06

morning all - no luck for me this month, my af started at the weekend so my colleague was wrong unfortunately

hubby had his test last week although I was miffed at him as he confessed he had not abstained from any 'activity' for 2-3 days so he may well have to go back and have another one grrrr

hippy I love the lakehouse, love keanu in it it's such a lovely film :-)

can't watch anything about people having babies as it's too upsetting for me :-(

hippychick66 · 29/03/2011 10:23

hippychicklet - ahhhhh - love it.

randomimposter · 29/03/2011 10:06

poor hippychicklet :(

hippychick66 · 29/03/2011 09:12

My DS2 was practically pooing water yesterday and begging for food - Sad. It did make me think of your little one jolls and I wondered - is it better if they're still in nappies or not Hmm Confused. He is on the sofa watching CBBC and looking very sorry for himself.

We are now on rightmove!! The stupid man put the old photos on his own website and the right ones on rightmove - so I have dashed off an email to him - great start!! Still at least the proper de-cluttered ones are on rightmove.

I was awake between 2.30 -4am watching the lakehouse with the lovely Keanu. I just couldn't sleep for worrying about the stupid wrong photos (discovered just before I went to bed). I also have still had no spotting so, of course, I was wondering if there was any chance I could be preggers (I did get insomnia more when pregnant - but you can read too much into these things can't you!)

gum I cannot begin to imagine that my house would be better in anyway than yours Shock. I will have a think about whether I dare send you a link Grin

italian i watched that Cherry had a baby too. it was ok but the preggo who was 40 had a bad time of it and i thought - bloody typical, why not show a successful 40 something pregnancy. I am glad i didn't have my kids at 15!!

randomimposter · 29/03/2011 08:35

just a quickie as DS off nursery with his horrible runny bum but just wanted to say to italian, not sure if I've mentioned this before, but a friend of mine has 2 DCs via donor eggs. She has a much older child by a first marriage, but was unable to conceive/stay pg again with new husband. She took Easyjet to Spain and had one child, then popped back for another 2 years later (realise that's the understatement of the year but you get my drift).

I don't know exactly how old she is (don't care/not my business) but a mutual friend let slip that she did this is "in her fifties".

We all do a music group together and there are mums in their 20s/30s/40s. Noone looks at her any different. In fact she's bonded really well with one of the youngest mums there and they all get together with their DC all the time.

I suppose I'm trying to say there are happy endings out there. I truly hope yours is heading your way soon x

Italiangreyhound · 29/03/2011 01:19

Hi ladies how are you all?

So glad the snug helicopter is getting some use!

Hippy sorry about BFN but yippee, you?ve got your house for sale. How lovely. Just a hint that the punters will not want a house that smells of pooh; fresh laundry may be nice (the smell, I mean) but having shorts hanging up to dry in the bathroom counld be a bit of a turnoff.

Lol I am chilled but it has taken some time to get there! I?m in the last bit of time, three months maybe four and I will know what is to be. It feels weird and yet good. I spoke to a friend today who is adopting. Have not ruled that one out yet.

lou hugs to you.

Diege glad all is OK.

Panshe any plans for wedding yet?

Tank hugs.

Alba how are you?

Lia Any news?

Babydust to Nicole, OooohShiny, Shandybass, Jolls, Hopefulgum, and Brin.

I am busy watching Cherry has a baby.

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00ttbr9
here

I think someone else mentioned it a long time ago. Kind of pisses me off that the presenter got pregnant by accident and the first three people on the programme are teenage mums who got pregnant by accident. The third mum is also pregnant with number 2 (I am guessing by accident again). Of course it is their lives and I maybe sound like a jealous old bag. When asked if they would rather be pregnant at 15 or 35 one girl said 15..... ah how about being 46 or 47!

But it is quite interesting, there a lovely lady aged 22 and thank goodness they are at least happy to be having a baby! There?s lady who is a total nightmare looking at designer baby clothes! Sorry I can?t imagine spending hundreds on baby clothes! Anyway, won?t tell you all because I will bore you stiff and you?ve probably seen it!

But the exciting bit is the final lady, 46 and having twins with IVF! Yipee! She says something inspirational ?It doesn?t matter how old you are. I don?t care if people look at me and think she looks too old. I really don?t care. They don?t know what I?ve been through, they don?t know the pain, the length of time I?ve being trying, the financial cost. They don?t know anything. So I really don?t care.? Yes, missus, a shot in the arm for me worrying about turning 47 before any baby arrives!

hopefulgum · 29/03/2011 00:20

Nothing new to report here.

Boy am I glad we don't have the runny bums in my house. I'm not very good with that sort of thing. Actually, DS is testing my patience as he's decided to regress with his potty training. He was pretty well trained, but since starting Tuesdays at daycare, he's decided he wants nappies again. I'll just have to ride it out and hopefully he'll get sick of it.

Hippy, the tingly BiscuitBiscuit and lack of spotting sounds very good. Jolls, I had an implantation dip at 5 dpo with DS, so you may well have had implantation spotting - very excited for you...

Can't wait to hear about the scans girls.

I think I might have to stop talking about it and actually go and see the doc about doing something for my very short Af. I only had 2 days of bleeding, then really light on the third day and spotting on the 4th day. It's just so light compared to before I had Charlie. I'm worried that I'm on my way to menopause. I want to do everything the natural way , my instincts say to try alternative therapies, but maybe I do need some drugs or something to help things?

I have acupuncture this morning and I might book some reflexology for next Tuesday, then perhaps the doc. I don't know. I really don't like the idea of drugs, but it might be my best option. I'd love to hear any experiences or ideas.

I've been doing loads of decluttering Hippy, but I doubt my house looks as good as yours does. Is it advertised online? Would you mind if I had a sticky-beak? I hope it sells quickly for you. We've had our land on sale for 3 years and not a nibble. Time to change real estate agents again I think...

Fingers crossed for some bfp's in the next few days.

hippychick66 · 28/03/2011 21:29

Ohhh a chance to use the snug heli-tot tot - whoop whoop! Grin

Diege · 28/03/2011 19:38

Hee hee Hippy, oh yes I predict form your fart reportage that dh is well on the way to drippy bottom-dom. At least you don't need to rely on his 'front of house' at the moment! Poor ds - is he feeling any better?

Hey Lou synchronised scans now Grin. But how will Hippy get to them both? Actually, am I right in thinking you are North-ish? (if so, she can probably squeeze us both in if she takes the snug hellicopter).
Have just gone into girls' room and notice that they have been stockpiling penguin biscuits for a midnight feast. I am sure it will all end badly, but am turning a blind eye on the proviso they clean their teeth after..

hippychick66 · 28/03/2011 18:41

I too hope that the brown spotting is implantation jolls - although how you can tell where the brown is coming from is beyond me - Wink Good luck matey. Not sure where we are moving to - we fancy a tropical island. Where has my Kirsty gone - i need someone to find me a house.

lou another scan!!! You cheeky mare.

I keep looking out of the window and thinking, My house is for sale!!!

My DS2 got sent home from school after a runny bum related accident today. Never a good sign when they are wearing their PE kit when you arrive to collect them and have their pants and trews in a tescos carrier bag - poor thing. He was meant to be having a friend back for a play and tea as well and I had to cancel that too - double poor thing. DH thinks he's getting it now. If the farts he's doing are anything to go by - then YES he bloody well is [yuck face].

I am having a very odd time, not knowing when I ov'd has left me in the dark completely and I don't know what to make of the absense of spotting and tingly BiscuitBiscuit's. I hope it stays this way for another couple of days - then I get to go through the joy of testing again Hmm

Love to all.

ps. My house is for sale Shock Yes alright Hippy, shut up now!

louisesh · 28/03/2011 17:54

Diege Yeh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done for booking your scan.My next scan is at 08.45 on Thursday also had forgotten with these 2 weekly scans doesn t seem like 1 minute since my last scan.So we ll go through the hell together XXXXXX
Yeh on Hippy at last a "for sale " sign.Any ideas where you re moving to??????? Wink WinkXXX
Bllody hell Jolls you re going through it!!! Poor you , you deserve a treat after all this hopefully you ll get it in the form of a bfp XXXX

Diege · 28/03/2011 17:14

Thanks girls! Does help to know that there's somene to report back to after the scan, as hardly anyone in rl knows!
Jolls sorry for diareahh (sp?), although does this mean the bug is (literally) on its way out? I'll keep quiet about the IMPLANTATION BLEED then Grin
Hipps woo-hoo for the For Sale sign. Do you have an ideas as to where it might be that you move? Do you fancy anywhere in particular?
I am going to brave putting out the washing now. One thing I am getting with the sickness is extreme sensitivity to the cold - by bedtime I am literally shivering, however warm it is in the house. Very odd I know.

randomimposter · 28/03/2011 16:00

la lalallalala diege can't hear you... Great news on scan, as the gorgeous hippyhippyshakechick says, we'll be with you x

hippster you are selling your house...? You kept that quiet...? Have all FX on the you know what.

lou glad you're feeling awful. IYKWIM. Grin.

have horrid diarrhoea today... a symptom of the horrid bug the house has had of course.

hippychick66 · 28/03/2011 15:29

diege you will not be going on yor own, honey-pie. I will be there 'virtually' holding your hand - worked a treat at lou's scan Grin Everything crossed.

Where is that panashe??? Off in a corner with italian planning her wedding -no doubt.

I wonder if BB is having a good time in Vietnam (na-na-na-na- 19) showing my age there.

Well still no spotting and still tingly sore boobs so am hoping I just tested too early - no harm in being positive (for a while at least).

Much love to all of you lovely ladies.

ps. THERE IS A 'FOR SALE' SIGN OUTSIDE MY HOUSE Shock

Diege · 28/03/2011 14:17

Arghh well have finally had the call-back from the EPU and they have arranged an scan for 10am this Thursday. To say I am terrified is an understatement. However, being rational if there is a problem, that problem will be there whether I opt for an early scan or not, and at least I will be at the hospital where I can chat through options (as opposed say to private scan place). I will be going on my own I think, straight after school run as dh is working away, but am probably better that way.

louisesh · 28/03/2011 14:15

Oh Jolls big FX for uXXXXX
Hippy ((())) as we say it ain t over yet. Here's hoping X
Lia haven t you had that baby yet???????You going for the record "world's longest prenancy!!!!"
Diege good luck on a scan date.Glad nausea is subsiding slightly.
Lol u ok?Hi Gum u ok?
Hi Italian,Curly,shandy,panashe,Isaboo and BB
Hope all are well?
Feel really naseaus and tired over the weekend.Had my pregnanyl this am now at work and oh god, it's dragging!!!!!!!!!!! Incredibly quiet here a bit like the calm before the storm!!!!!

Love to all XXXX

Diege · 28/03/2011 12:18

Jolls, I would say actually that your spotting is pretty spot-on time wise for implantation, so may indeed be a good sign Smile

randomimposter · 28/03/2011 11:58

Oh hippy, arsicles is all I can say. The emotional side of it is just awful :(. But no evil RTD yet, maybe a shy one?

diege glad you are feeling brighter, or maybe just getting used to feeling so rubbish!? Keep us posted on the scan.

lol I missed the WS classic - what a corker!!

lia not long to go now - get on with it woman, do you want some of this brie or not...? WinkGrin

CD16 here, and I think I may have oved on CD10 or 11 (just a feeling). Today I have lots of brown CM... now we know implantation bleeding is just a myth (also this would be a bit early). So do you think my progesterone is now really low and hence I am spotting brown? Or just as I've been ill my body has totally given up on me and is chucking out all the waste matter it can find... HmmEnvy that's a sick face not a jealous oneAngry ...

Diege · 28/03/2011 10:51

Hi all! Sorry about BFN Hippy, but I wouldn't lose hope yet. As regards ovulation pain, I usually get this 2 or 3 days BEFORE a temp rise, so you may well be a few days ahead (in your mind) of where your body is at. I know it's not much compensation if it is really a bfn this month, but you do seem to have a decent Lp which I think is half the battle. I really, really hope it's your month, if not this one, then very soon xxx
Jolls agree totally about ribcage transplant Grin; oh and maybe he should write an inspiring book about it too. Dh has done his knee in here, swinging some hammer of sorts on the railings Hmm and can hardly function, but then I only need him to do food related things at the moment Wink
lol I love you pupil's take on Shakespeare Grin; I'm sure he would be flattered by the (faint) praise.
Lia very exciting! Keep us informed please!
Feeling brighter here as the sickness seems to have settled into a pattern of being ok in the mornings (after the initial bile run), before becoming pretty awful 4pm ish onwards. I can deal with that. The tablets keep a lid on things (literally) and have been a lifesaves. Not sure who asked (Italian?), but yes, they are def a last resort. Have in previous pregnancies tried acupuncture (3 sessions a week) with absolutely zero effect (had to rush to be sick during one session), homeopathy, sea-sickness bands, CDs that are said to block signals for nausea in the brain (I have never been more sick after listening to it, which suggests it does have some effect, just that my brain is wired wrong Confused), some aromatherapy sniffer thing , preggy pops (are they having a laugh?), ginger capsules, etc etc....
Final attempt today at securing an NHS early scan...if I don't get a response from the nurse I will book a private scan and then contact the mw if all well.
Hope everyone is ok - Mr Sunshine has also disappeared here - very foggy and cold.

lia66 · 28/03/2011 10:34

hippy we know it's not over till the red lady shows. Fingers well and truly crossed for you.

jolls What crap timing err, I mean, how awful for your dh :) The image tou painted was amusing I have to say but I'm with you on ribcage transplant, when dh cracked ribs at football, he was a bloody nightmare in a lot of pain I recall.

gum I feel for you, I have been where you are now and it's tough. Stick in there, Hugs to you.

So I am still bloody pregnant, but having show today so thats good. Hopefully things will move along in next few days and I'll be able to inspire you with my ancient, decrepit body actuially being able to give birth story :)

Hi to everyone, Have a lovely day.

hippychick66 · 28/03/2011 09:53

Hello all. I am a bit pissed off today. I managed to get to day 26 with no spotting and still had tingly boobs, so I tested this morning and allowed myself to get hopeful - bloody bloody fucking BFN. one solitary line. I don't know exactly when I ovulated cos I missed the smiley face so am a teeny tiny bit hopeful that I'm still in with a chance but I did have pains on day 14 which would make me 12 days post ov and so surely not too early to test. Arrgghhh - why do I even allow myself to think these stupid thoughts.

Anyway still no spotting so will have to wait and see. Estate Agent back to take more photos today (have done even more de-cluttering). So will focus on that instead. Love to all. jolls sorry to hear about your Dh. I remember alba's cracked rib (I think she did it whilst SWI not whilst actually skiing Grin)

randomimposter · 28/03/2011 07:58

Ha Alba - funny I could remember something about a cracked rib but not the details. If it had been me that cracked the rib we might have been green light for go, but in that it was a man, it's like a ribcage transplant is the only way forward...Grin. Never mind, still feeling grotty, and DS has awful diarrhoea so am really not in a romantic mood anyhow. It's an odd state this realigned expectation gives you, I don't really expect to get pg now, so the pressure's off a bit .

Hope everyone's doing ok. Bit grey and misty on the coast today, where's Mr Sunshine gone?

AlbaDeTamble · 27/03/2011 22:14

Jolls, cracked rib... Hmmm reminds me of my skiing holiday last April, and guess what happened 9 months later... I hope you've got some good strong painkillers for him, your nausea has gone, and here's hoping for some lovely good news in 2 weeks (& 9 months) time Smile

lolfactor · 27/03/2011 20:17

Jolls he still has to go for the swi. It's da rules. You're going to have to get creative. Broken ribs and nausea. What a combo. Good luck...Hmm

Italian you are so chilled. It sounds like a good place to be at the moment. And you actually had time to go on a real night out. Envy

Gum it does sound like your dh is on your side, what with the reversal etc. No feeling guilty. You sound like you're loved and you're entitled to be.

Am finishing mammoth GCSE marking task. It's going to be an all-nighter, I think. My favourite line so far is, 'Stagecraft was something Shakespeare really needed to get correct, so he set Romeo and Juliet in Edwardian times and has done really well.'

Better go and graze the grindstone. Love to all. I may be some time.
