cos you iz preggo and not very clever at the mo Grin

the Wagner joke MUST STOP HERE!!!

Diege · 10/03/2011 18:15

How did I do the bold there?? Confused

Diege · 10/03/2011 18:14

BB I also have a 'thing' about forearms Blush; it's quite common apparently...Curly that phone message sounds like the beginning of a rom-com Wink
BB how are you finding it on the clomid? Are there any side effects? Would youy mind multiples? Sorry, lots of questions, but I've always been fascinated by stories about clomid!Really looking forward to the weekend - am staying in Manchester overnight witha friend and then we are going to see the x-factor tour show on Sunday Grin. Now who was it on here who liked Wagner?? (was it Jolls??)I am also going to make the most of being in the big (for the North) smoke and get my eyebrows done properly (after the last threading disaster I had) and also buy some customised converse from Selfridges. I have it all planned out!

BeattieBow · 10/03/2011 16:49

I would have thought he'd have nice forearms curly if he plays tennis. I'm partial to a nice muscular and slighly hairy forearm.

of course he could have been a spotty 17 year old youth (albeit with nice forearms) Smile

I did find myself eyeying up someone from work too - these hormones are amazing things aren't they?

Curlylox · 10/03/2011 16:37

meant ovulation.
bb funnily enough didn't eye up any strangers on the train this month too engrossed in reading the paper, however did fantasise about a voicemail left on my phone at work from a man at our local tennis club (was making enquiries about DD having lessons). He had rather a nice voice don't have a clue what he looks like mind Grin

hi all, haven't been around much - nothing to report, waiting for af to go and swi time to come.

taking clomid and have to have a scan tomorrow to check that not too many follicles are growing. I'm presuming I'll be told to hold off swi if they are, or risk a multiple birth Shock. Then again it's difficult to miss a month at my age.

jolls fingers crossed for you - any signs yet?

Lol I think agree with what others have said - it's more likely that your body geared up for ovulation and then didn't rather than you ov'ing twice (according to St Toni anyway).

Tina hopefully ovulation is just a bit late.

as for me cd6, low on the monitor, but starting to eye up random blokes on the train so it's all starting here!

Curlylox · 10/03/2011 14:46

tina looks like I'll be joining you with late ovultaion...fingers crossed.

Moan alert!

I woke up at 5.30 this morning in a raging sweat (literally - just like they say for the menopause) with deflated boobs and a flat stomach. Since ovulation they'd been growing and tingling and my tummy cramping. This morning back to normal. I cried, hit the pillow, cried again and had to be consoled by a deeply disappointed dp who had his 'empathy' hat on (he's read Men are from Mars). It was all over before it had even begun. We were both pretty low.

This lunchtime: tingling, cramping. AAARRRGGG. Perhaps I have got the 'Take a Break' twin ovulation, Diege. Then again - perhaps I should GET A LIFE and stop noticing all these twinges.

Moan stops - Lol goes and gets the chocolate box and offers them disconsolately round, remembering to offer grapes instead to Italian and not drop crumbs on Hippy's carpet.

Diege · 10/03/2011 13:44

Thanks Louise will def buy a copy Smile.
No, not rung EPU yet - thought I'd get past the time of last mc first (this weekend ish) and then ring on Monday. I feel nervous just writing it down - half of me just wants to keep plodding on, but if there is something not right it's better (for me) to find out. Can't think beyond that (ie, about screening etc later on just yet - veer from not haveing any tests (as with dc4) or going super-mad and booking into fetal medial centre at 12 weeks for the works Confused

louisesh · 10/03/2011 13:39

Its going to be published in a book to be stocked and sold by Amazon for SANDS.So yes i ll let you know when its out.SmileThink my due date is about middle of November but if i progress i ll be havein GBOS Middle of October funnily enough about a week after Georgie's birthday. This seems to be very common when i ve read about stillbirths a lot of siblings are born around their sibling's birthday.

Have you rung EPU yet?

Diege · 10/03/2011 12:18

So our due dates must be quite close? (mine 9/11)
I meant to say Louise that doing Georgie's story is such am amazing thing to do - so many others will benefit from your words. Would it be something we could read on MN, or is it just available from the collection you're writing for?

louisesh · 10/03/2011 12:07

Yes diege i too feel like its been for ever.Glad you re feeling sickly Grin I m 5+1 now !!!Bloody hell......Hmm.Mantra to self: Stop moaning.I m trying not to concentrate on remembering dates etc.....Don t want to drag it all out too much.

Just booked a little spa break for me and Ant in 3 weeks time. Also booked a nice little manicure/pedicure party for 3 of my closest friends to thank them for their support. Also trying to wrap up Georgie's story but theres so much to tell.I need a million words for Georgie alone, i was advised about 4000 words well over that.Confused

TinaO99 · 10/03/2011 12:00

thanks diege louise and curly am hoping I'm just a little late this month, I guess I've just got used to being bang on every month that it's a bit of a shock when it doesn't seem to happen!

I think I've been lucky so far in being so accurate I guess

Diege · 10/03/2011 11:37

Hello! All ok here - I do feel slightly nauseaus today, and woke up last night feeling sick, though felt fine at proper waking time. Again though, as with the 2ww it's hard to know the difference is between real and imagined. My worst symptom (if it is one) is insomnia; I am waking at 2ish, reagrdless of when I go to bed, and then that's basically it for the night. I struggled through teaching yesterday, but today I'm a zombie (working from home thankfully) -. Louisie good to hear that all is regular and 'boring' - does it feel to you like we've been pregnant for about 16 weeks? It does to me! Just 5 +2 today.
Tina, agree with curly that it is very possible that you may ovulate later this month - this is the one thing I think that can vary - don't stress too much, just hold on in there, it'll be there before you know it and then the work starts Grin
Italian that's interesting about the meds and possible reason for af - on paper I suppose they might regulate things and hence af? Have you asked the doc?
Isboo I did have a little giggle about you and your ex (the thermometer). Mine is gloating at me from the knicker drawer daring me to start taking it again in the mornings, but I am just glaring back at the moment. They can be our best friends or our worst enemies (dito opks and preg tests!).
Better go and get ds from nursery and try and catch up on a morning's work.

Curlylox · 10/03/2011 10:25

tina I'm by no means an expert but is it possible you may still ovulate later than you usually do? Ignore me if that's a silly question Blush

OP posts:
louisesh · 10/03/2011 10:25

tina its well documented since giving birth i ve had 2 annovulary [sp][can t spell this bloody word!!!] months where i ve not ovulated. Then the month after i m fine,in fact its happened then the month after i ve got pg!!!! However, you are only on cd11 so still early.Know its stressful but sometimes it can be due to stress, illness, underlying medical conditions, giving birth etc.......However, it is also a normal event for lots of women to not ovulate every month though, they have in the past.

Please don t stress [I know easier said than done!!!!] XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Thanks Isaboo XXXXXX

Hi all nada to report here Smile x

TinaO99 · 10/03/2011 08:26

bit worried today, day 11 on my monitor and although it's been reading as a high the last few days I haven't peaked which is the first time since I started using the monitor, I'm wondering if I'm not going to ovulate at all this month and whether it's down to all the stress I've been under the last couple of weeks!

Anyone else here have that happen where you miss a month? It's stessing me out which is not a good thing lol

Isaboo · 09/03/2011 20:56

Italian nothing more dreary than waiting for AF to leave.... we have have a bit of a family thyroid disfunction ( mum sil etc ) over here and as far as I am aware it hasn't had any effect on cycle but everybody is different, I know the thyroid has a big influence on metabolism so you should probably take it easy on yourself with the eating as those two may well be linked
Louise its very brave of you to do that but these treads are testament to how much other peoples stories help people, good for you oh and I am looking forward to more pregnancy symptoms for you and Diege ...am finding virtual pregnancy great and very easy Grin
It is CD22 here too ....no idea what dpo as gave up temping in a strop and threw thermometer away when temp didn't go up when i wanted it too only no real symptoms ..( plenty of imagined ones though )

Italiangreyhound · 09/03/2011 17:06

Hippy just wondering if af returned because of Thyroid medication.

hippychick66 · 09/03/2011 14:42

italian how strange that AF just came back like that. After months of no periods you say you've just had another one which would be pretty much 28 days-ish (I'm guessing cos you came on about the same time as me last time - we are nuns!!)

lou One day you will be able to read that book and think of Georgie and know that you went on to have a successful pregnancy and take home baby (I know it). X

I am only day 7 but I am having all kinds of weird twinges - perhaps that day 5 shag was not quite a SWOI. I might have to pee on an OPK stick Grin.

Have done lots of cleaning and house looks less like my big fat gypsy house and more like to buy or not to buy. My hands are really dry and old looking now, should have worn gloves - ho hum!( WTF has that got to do with TTC after 40 Hippy??)

Italiangreyhound · 09/03/2011 13:46

Louise hugs as you write your story, may it be of real meaning and encouragement to you.

Hus to all.

Waiting for major af to finish.

louisesh · 09/03/2011 13:28

Hippy There is a woman on MN who asked for people to contribute their stories. She had a stillborn son at 28 weeks and like me found the majority of books were/are american.Shes compling a book of 5 or 6 people's experiences and is hoping to publish it and sell it in lieu of funds for SANDS.I started to write some time ago and hope what i write will be a testament to Georgie.

LOL arh....i think there should be more articles about stillbirths its like a hidden taboo.Needs to be out "there" so people are aware of the amount of times it happens.According to SANDS 17 babies a day are stillborn more than are lost to cot death and look how much publicity there is out there about cot death.Big fx for your signs/symptons.Wink

lolfactor · 09/03/2011 13:06

Aw, Lou. I remember reading an article about a stillbirth about 6 months ago with dp and we both cried, but felt privileged that the mum had shared the story.

hippychick66 · 09/03/2011 10:17

lou Big squeeze for you as you write Georgie's story. I can imagine that writing it all down is heartbreaking and brings up a lot of 'if only' and 'what ifs'. Are you writing it for a magazine or for your own memories?? Can't wait for you to come back next week and tell us that you have seen a teeny tiny foetus. XXX

jolls glad to see you back. Don't talk to me about staging - Oh for God's sake, my DH is obsessed about selling a life-style, setting the scene and selling an image (THEN he seems to not notice at all when bit's of skirting keep falling off cos the no nails doesn't work !!!! Shock)

lol Just to throw my opinion in about the double ovulation. I have read that you can ovulate twice in a month but it would be within 24 hours of each other. Maybe you are experiencing early preg symptoms - best advise - try not to think about it - ha ha Wink Hang in there, lovie.

italian hope the books are helping with the eating issues. Keep at it, the rewards will be worth it.

diege Not sure how you managed to get preggers so many times if you think having sex is ANYTHING like cutting your toenails!!! Grin Sending lots of positive vibes your way, sweetie.

Nicole Anything to report re: your cycle?

gum your week-end sounds lovely. Glad you're able to think about other stuff as well as TTC - it's the only way to stay sane.

I watched One born every minute yesterday and there was a couple who'd had 4 MC's in a row. You guessed it - they got their take home baby at the end and you guessed it again, Hippy cried her eyes out. Ahhhh I love a good happy cry.

Pancake day yesterday, DS2 managed to get golden syrup all over one of the dinning room chairs. hence Mum sat down to enjoy her pancake (last of course!) and sat in syrup. Ohhhh was I mad!!!

louisesh · 09/03/2011 09:31

Hi all.
