Hi all.
I'm most of the way through my first month temp charting and not seeing any pattern. I'm up to Cd19 and my temps have been at 97.4 at Cd4 on dipping down to 96.6 on Cd11 and raising back to 97.3ish now. It doesn't make any sense, or does it mean I'm not ovulating?

Before I've used opk and get a + around Cd 12ish but that hasn't worked so I thought I'd try temping.

The time I take the temp can vary depending on dd2's waking times but I can't do much about that.

Has anyone else had this? Or any possible explanations? You can be straight with me.

Love to all, especially George C, I've gone off him a bit but he beats Mel Gibson now who also used to be a fave of mine.

lolfactor · 12/03/2011 14:14

Gum that BEACH!!! Sod the fertility chart, that should be on my home page. Stunning.

diege and lou delighted that the nausea has come upon you. Long may it continue Smile

Italian do you fancy a nice Saturday lunchy/brunchy thing instead? I miss the Bistro every Friday because of work. And I really fancied rosemary duck with sweet potato Envy

Pink cm, v deflated boobs and nausea (probably because I'm tired)and twingy tummy. Oh, and a bit of an attitude. Think I'll take the dog for a walk to stop me obsessing. Fingers crossed, Jolls on your twinges.

hippychick66 · 12/03/2011 13:40

Good old italian always rolls in on a saturday expecting the Friday Night Bistro to be open - bless her Grin.

I haven't been to Disneyland Paris either (I did go to Disneyland in LA but that was many years ago).

Sounds like a good plan though and she will love you forever if you take her Smile

lou and diege glad you feel sick.

I was so in love with George Clooney back in the ER days that I printed off a picture of him and laminated it. I think my friends did wonder why the laminate??? BlushShock

Italiangreyhound · 12/03/2011 11:06

I really can't say about Agnus Castus because maybe I just had a bad experience or maybe two things are unrelated!

Italiangreyhound · 12/03/2011 11:04

Is it too late to order my regular paella?

Louise glad you finished the story.
How is Everyone?
Hippy how is the move going?
Panshe how are the plans, any new developments yet?
Lia what?s happening with you?
Also, can I ask, has anyone been to Disneyland, Paris? Is it good? I went years ago but not with kids. My DD keeps on about it as kids go free! (Under 7, mum, I won't be under 7 next year!). BUT I am not keen to go to USA and can't afford it. Closest we will get is a weekend in Paris for Euro Disney. We have friends who live in France so I may sense holiday for next year being planned!

I tried Agnus Castus but my periods stopped altogether when I was using it THAT MAY HAVE BEEN COINCIDENCE BUT PEROSNALLY I WOULD NOT TRY IT AGAIN. My periods have now re-started but I am now on Thyroid medication so who knows what is going on!

Jolls, muchlove, Alba, Diege, Gum, Tina, Tank, Nicole, OooohShiny, Curley, Shandybass and Lol - Waves and hugs to all*.

Diege · 12/03/2011 10:24

Oh and enjoy your shopping trip too Lou!

Diege · 12/03/2011 10:24

Morning! Mmmm the downloading books thing does make it seem quite appealing Lou Grin - you watch, I'll be Kindle's biggest convert before you know it Wink
Gum I am also struck down by extreme Envy. It must be blissful living where you do. Have you always lived there?
Off to get the train soon - woke feeling very sick this morning, and still feel rough now, but this is nothing on hyperemesis so feel grateful that it's started later, and for now I can eat! Excellent news on your sickness too Lou if that makes sense, though I don't think you had it with Georgie did you so you're probably not as obsessive about getting it as me (I never got any nausea with my mc/mmc).
Right, bowl of soup then I'm off!

louisesh · 12/03/2011 10:07

hopefulgum · 12/03/2011 09:53

Ah, Jolls, maybe this time it won't whack you round the chops...It's a great sign if you've had no spotting. And those other symptoms sound good, and you know that pre-AF feeling can be a sign tooSmile Crossing fingers, toes, legs for you. Hmmm, perhaps not legs as I have ewcm for the first time - proper stuff, proper amounts, not just a smidgen, for the first time in a very long time. Can you tell I'm very excited. Sorry if that was TMI Blush

Weird thing is that my cervix is firm and closed, so I am guessing it's not really fertile time anymore, but perhaps was a few hours ago? I dunno. I'm going to just be glad that things seem to be going well hormonally for me, and that means maybe I'm on the right track to getting upduffed. I wonder if all these changes in the right direction are because I gave up breastfeeding and my hormones are normalising. Much more likely than the giving up sugar thing, but whatever it is, I'm happy!

randomimposter · 12/03/2011 07:22

morning all

hey gum, your week sounds idyllic. DS and I have been on the beach a couple of times too this week, but a very different experience GrinEnvy!! I'm totally with you on the Mr Clooney thing. Have loved him since the beginning of time ER. Him and Paolo Maldini do it for me... I'm afraid I don't get the random men on train urge signal for ov, think that's quite clever though!

Woke up at 5 needing to pee, feeling full of cold and with that lower tummy sensation that period was on her irritating merry way. Haven't had any spotting or anything yet which is unusual for day 26 today. So I have that ridiculous glimmer of hope that you know is just going to whack you round the chops and guffaw loudly at you later on GrinAngry.

Wave to all - must shake a leg...

hopefulgum · 12/03/2011 00:21

Well, I missed all that cos I was shagging and sleeping! Now it's morning and you lot have all gone to bed....

The Tsunami isn't going to be a problem for Oz. And even if it was I'm in the south west corner of the continent, miles away from any trouble. Our little part of the world has been untouched by flood, fire and other natural disasters, although last year there was an extremely large fire very near here which was scary. But mostly all is calm. Charlie and I have had everyday at the beach this week, it's been gloriously sunny, the tide has been out and the water crystal clear and beautiful. Check it out angieathome.blogspot.com/2011/03/hanging-at-beach.html

Curly, your question: if you had a + opk, then I'd expect you to ovulate in the next couple of days. I usually have a + and O pain later in the day, then I O the next day and temp rises the day after O. Can you post a link to your chart? You have to have it on your home page, if you don't have one, it is easy to set up. This is mine:www.fertilityfriend.com/home/186327 Fertility Friend won't put in your O day until you've had three days of higher temps.

Tina, my understanding of Agnus Castus is that it is supposed to regulate hormones. When I had a very long cycle I took it to shorten it. If the first part of your cycle is very long, like more than 16 days to ovulate, or very short, according to Randine Lewis my fertility guru, it doesn't make for the best eggs. It did help with my cycle. And now my naturopath says I might need it to lengthen my LP which is 12 days. I disagree with her, I don't think 12 days is too short, and I don't want to take the chance of screwing things up by taking agnus castus.
It might also take a couple of months for it to regulate your hormones. If you can be bothered, read "The Infertility Cure" by Randine Lewis www.amazon.com/Infertility-Cure-Ancient-Wellness-Pregnant/dp/0316172294
It gives all sorts of great information about how to regulate things. I love it.It's like my bible!

As for me, I am wondering if giving up sugar (I have totally given it up, have had none for a whole week!)has brought my ovulation up earlier. I got a peak on the monitor yesterday and a + opk, which is the earliest it's been since before Charlie. I have read that sugar really interferes with hormone production, and I have to admit to having an addiction to it. I have always been a real health freak, but always justified my consumption of sugar because I would make things gluten free and from scratch, but I was always craving it, having slumps in the day and reaching for more sugar, and putting on way too much weight since getting pregnant with Charlie.

I just hope I can keep it up and that it will help with weight and hormones.

Has anyone else here used a monitor? I did before Charlie, but it all feels new again. I got a "peak" yesterday, and a "peak" today, but I have a feeling today isn't as fertile as yesterday. I had a +opk in the morning and a negative opk in the afternoon. Had ovulation pain at about 10pm, so I am guess the egg would already be on it's way? I suppose I should try to get another shag in today (managed twice yesterday: feeling like a sex goddess - amazing what the desire for a baby will do to one's desire)My DH was very pleased and there was no mention of contraceptives - so I'm guessing he's resigned to the ttc thing...Grin

Personally, George Clooney gets my juices flowing. That man is absolutely gorgeous. I watched The American last night. Oh my - he is lovely naked...The movie itself wasn't great.I felt there was a bit missing from the plot, didn't fully understand a few things, but it was just nice to watch him...swoon.

Diege · 11/03/2011 22:34

I should clarify, I will be watching him in x-factor live tour on Sunday Grin

Diege · 11/03/2011 22:33

You know, Joll's bit on the side, Wagner Grin
Right, bed for sure now!

hippychick66 · 11/03/2011 22:29

girls girls - stop arguing, she's buying it and that's that!

diege you are going away with Jolls' man ??? WTF? Confused

No food for me please - i am dieting and able to abstain with ease (when the feckin' food is virtual!)

Big week-end for me (day 10 tomorrow) usually get the positive around now ..... where did I put that vest top???? Hmm

Diege · 11/03/2011 22:22

Sorry Curly, I got sidetracked by the agnus castus quesiton Grin. I'd say you may well have the temp rise in the next day or 2. I usually get it 2 days after the pos opk. Am putting in your very straight-forward order as we speak!
Off to bed now; night all!

Curlylox · 11/03/2011 22:18

Something simple as the bistro may be closing soon...cheese on toast please.
I'm hoping hopefulgum is ok what with the terrible news, please check in soon and let us know all is well. Oh and perhaps you can answer my first question I had posted earlier too Blush

OP posts:
Diege · 11/03/2011 22:11

Grin I'm still confused - tell me what's the advantage of kindle over books? Is the kindle version of the book a lot cheaper? Confused I do want to understand, honest!
May not be on over the weekend as away with JOll's man as you all know Wink. Have processed your orders Ishaboo and Jolls, very sophisticated palates (apart from the trifle Wink.

louisesh · 11/03/2011 21:04

randomimposter · 11/03/2011 20:59

Isaboo · 11/03/2011 20:34

Diege Sick sounds great ...looking forward to indigestion and backache.. keep going!

I will have giant king prawns in the shell in garlic, crusty french bread and a bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc followed by a big slab of runny Brie actually make that two bottles and a packet of ibrobrufen tomorrow morning.....in fact the choice of the not pregnant woman which is good because " I have no symptoms .." I am doing as i am told and have set the parental controls on the computer to not allow any tww website access.

Diege · 11/03/2011 17:51

Grin Louise. I don't get the kindle thing either - why not just read a book? They are compact and portable Confused
Right, bistro is open. I am having some crispy roast potatoes cooked with rosemary, with nut loaf I think with a salsa sauce. For afters lemon pudding with shortbread fans. Mmmmm....
I seem to be able to keep the sickness at bay by eating..remember that this is very much how the sickness starts. Fingers crossed I get regular pregnancy sickness this time (as with dd2) and not hyperemesis (the rest!)

louisesh · 11/03/2011 17:29

Og god its like talking to my mum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THe idea of the Kinnect is that when i cant get to the gym i can exercise on the Kinnect instead!!!!!!!!!!!! Well thats the idea!!!! We had a WII fit previously but got rid of it.

Jolls shame on you!!! The Kinnect is the fatest selling gadet ever they ve sold over 10 million since November.Know what you mean about not having/holding books but been looking at a Kindle for some time and just thought "what the hell" it ll probably end up in the drawer with my ds and ipod!!!!!

randomimposter · 11/03/2011 14:46

PMSL diege Grin

shit hippy are you looking through my window...?

Diege · 11/03/2011 14:28

I thought you meant an updated fancy version of Kinnect/Connect 4 Blush

hippychick66 · 11/03/2011 14:17

jolls get back to your housework - your place looks like my gypsies have moved on Grin Grin

(Hippy answers grudgingly... It's for the X Box, it means you can play games etc without holding a controller. With Kinnect YOU are the controller!) Me and the boys had a go on one once - we were white water rafting. The good thing is you jump about like a loony and get exercise of sorts.
