MORNING!

Thought this would be a nice spot to chat with the TTCers that have been trying for some time. A bit of support for each other and all that!

So, grab a drink, and a barstool, and get chatting.

There's bouncers on the door, so no riff-raff, and the licence is LATE,LATE,LATE!!

Oh and loads of baby dust on tap!!

Hi there!

HC - you didn't need to apologise, Hun. You have every right to be wrapped up in whats going on. I'm soooo happy for you babe! XX

HK - poor DS2 and poor you Hope you are feeling a little better now. Were you able to postpone your landlords visit? XX

Carly - about your bfn. But like Diddle said , it might just be too soon.. As your cycles was obviously all over the shop last month, it might mean that you are only just PG. Chin up, hunni! XX

Thanks for all you reassurance everyone. I'm sure you are all right and it is nothing to worry about. I laughed so much at your smear and colposcopy stories! Made me smile! Thanks XX

I've been to take my lovely new Picasso into the dealers this morning to have some scratches removed from the body work, and as a courtesy car they have given me a Pluriel!! Its a 4 seater ffs!! How do I get me, DH and 3 kids in a 4 seater!!!! AARRRGGGHHHH! bloody salesmen!!!!!!

Diddle · 19/10/2005 11:49

carly82 - My cycle went a bit haywire too, went from 35 days which was normal to 43 days, all over the place. Your body is just regulating i guess.

HellKat · 19/10/2005 09:23

Bloody comp.

HellKat · 19/10/2005 09:23

Lmao!!!!!!!
Yep know the feeling on magnification!!! My pubes resembled the national forest! Looked like Giant Redwoods!
Luckily it was only the consultant and the nurse there but disturbingly he turned out to be the very same man who delivered me as a baby! He took great delight in saying this. Legs akimbo, his wiry grey head pops up from between them and says "Hmmm your surnames very familiar", head down, poke, prod, "Very familiar in fact, have I treated you before?", Rummage, rummage " Aha!! I know. I remember your mother, I delievered you. My you've grown since then". All this whilst he's examining, prodding etc my nethers! Very very odd.
Lovely old man btw lol

spub · 19/10/2005 09:15

HK - I totally agree.
I even agreed to let medical students observe one of my treatments! There I am with no knickers on and a leg in each wing of the hospital when the consultant (not the usual lovely man but some snotty idiot who thought that just because I had no knickers on I was rendered stupid and mute...)starts pointing out stuff on the screen. He turns to me condescendingly and says, "Don't worry, Mrs Spub, this area is actually microscopic in size but we have magnified it".
I reply frostily, "Yes, Dr. I am aware of how magnification works and I do also know that my cervix is not in fact the size of Hampden Park". (a football stadium)Cue lots of sniggering from the medical students and then my realisation that being cheeky to the consultant under those circumstances might not be that wise.....

HellKat · 19/10/2005 09:02

Lol Spub!
Oh the good ol' colposcopy days eh?
They were great at detecting stuff early (found my dodgy cells that way ).
I never even felt the after effects of the cauterisation for the erosion lol just felt a bit crampy from the laser surgery.
I'm a firm believer in women getting smears done. A few minutes discomfort is definitely worth it!

spub · 19/10/2005 08:49

CH - I agree with HK; may be a cervical erosion. I also had one succesfully treated after a couple of years of popping in and out of the colposcopy clinic and a couple of "abnormal" smears. Used to bleed a bit for no reason and also after sex. It's quite common and there's no need for alarm. I always felt that it was being kept an eye on and so the chances of anything dodgy happening were much reduced. Once I had the treatment (slightly uncomfortable but no worse than a filling - except without pants!) it was fine and has been since.

HellKat · 19/10/2005 08:33

So glad I don't watch Holby now. Would've had me panicking! Mind you did'nt get near the tv until 9.30. Dp was watching his beloved Man U

HellKat · 19/10/2005 08:29

Morning all.
Congratulations Hc hunny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Bloody fantastic news!!! That's made me smile .
Was feeling pants here lol. Poor ds2 had a cold yesterday and made sleeping a nightmare last night (nose all bunged up etc) so I said out loud a few times (as you do) "Ohhh I wish it was me instead of him". Well lo and behold woke this morning feeling so shite! Great news is ds2 is feeling far better. Going to see if I can get the landlord to come next week instead.
Ch- You may have an erosion hun. Had this for years and finally got it cauterised a few years back. It's where the cells inside your cervix turn outwards slightly. Any friction against them causes them to bleed. As Diddle said, no news is good news. Can't believe it's a 9 week wait! Is that the maximum or are they likely to come before? Luckily it's 2/3 weeks here. I've only got another week or 2 left.

HumphreysCorner · 19/10/2005 08:26

Oh Coathanger-I'm so caught up in my own world I forgot to say about your smear-please try not to worry about it until you get the results-doesn't help that it was on Holby last night though. ((xx))

HumphreysCorner · 19/10/2005 08:25

Hi again

Going to test every day until I'm sure-have 5 more tests arriving today so will have 9 + a Clear Blue ordinary so I can get the cross and keep the test! The line has faded abit but is still there. I don't know if it is just me but once I get a +ive I suddenly go off tea and struggle to force my cornflakes down me. Feel really PG this time unlike last time-got to be a good thing. Not celebrating until at least 6 weeks then after the 12 week scan if I ever get there-if this all goes to plan I would be due 1st July 2006-DD's BD is 19th July.

DD being a right stroppy 2yr old-she keeps asking to go to Grandma's (MIL)-hope she is not preferrring her to me!

Hope you are all well and have a good day. Pouring with rain here in Lincolnshire.

xxx

Coathanger · 19/10/2005 08:17

congratulations HC!!!!!!!! Yee-haaa!!!! A line is a line is a positive! Well done!! mwah! XXX

Diddle - I'm sure you're right about my smear. Its probably fine, but it worrys me because the blood was seen around my cervix before she touched me. It was there before she scraped!

Hope everyone is well this morning! XXX
