MORNING!

Thought this would be a nice spot to chat with the TTCers that have been trying for some time. A bit of support for each other and all that!

So, grab a drink, and a barstool, and get chatting.

There's bouncers on the door, so no riff-raff, and the licence is LATE,LATE,LATE!!

Oh and loads of baby dust on tap!!

thanks baba - i got to just under 9 wks last time, and 7 wks the time before so by friday i will have gone further than before. although i know its early days anything can happen. The midwife isn't monitoring me any closer and I have had an early scan privately because the midwife wouldn't get me one. stupid woman.

Fingers crossed for both of us.

Baba · 02/11/2005 15:33

Diddle, that's really sad news and I can totally understand how you must be really stressed with everything that has happened before. Congratulations on your pregnancy though, I don't know how far gone you were with your other pregnancies and don't want to pry but hopefully 8 weeks is longer than before? I know its such early days but the only thing I can say is just to take it easy and make sure they are monitoring you at the hospital - will you have an early scan?

you must get checked out baba, it coudl be something simple that they can treat easily.

Diddle · 02/11/2005 12:32

baba i had that for lots of months, i think it is all psychological, about 4 motnhs ago i was sure i was pregnant and really got myself convinced, and i ddin't believe any tests, then af arrived and i was so upset.
I am now 8 wks pregnant, so you will get there eventually, it has taken 6 months to get this far, previously we managed to conceive but suffered 2 miscariages in the last 11 months, i'm so worried this will go wrong too.

oops sorry got carried away.

Baba · 02/11/2005 12:20

Nooooooo, but I know I should - I will make an appointment, especially after hearing that particular horror story. I am just concentrating so much on TTC but its getting me down that its not happening. I was adopted as a baby and it was so important to me to have my own child and now that its happened and its the most wonderful thing, I want to have that feeling all over again.

I will be devastated if we can't conceive but then I keep thinking, well at least I am lucky enough to have one....

Does anyone else have the pregnancy symptoms every month and find that they are just period symptoms.

I can't remember how I felt when I was pregnant the first time?

Diddle · 02/11/2005 12:09

no reason why you shouldn't be a drama queen, although i would imagine its very unlikely for it be cancer. have you been to get it checked out baba?

Baba · 02/11/2005 12:05

Anyone know anything about ovarian cancer? Someone just put the fear of god into me after telling me their ex-wife died of it after having symptoms which felt like cystitis and I have had this for a few weeks.... its not as bad as cystitis but still feels like you need to wee a lot.

Coupled that with the fact that we are TTC, am I just being a drama queen?

HumphreysCorner · 01/11/2005 21:29

Evening ladies

HellKat-so, so sad that you are leaving us. Crikes, it's like the scene from Grease at the end when they wonder if they'll ever see the gang again! Well, at least you can speak to us occasionally on Coathanger's new thread and I will search your name for messages in the future to keep my eye on you. Lots and lots of love and hugs to you and your family hun and thank you for all your support over the past few months. (((xxx)))

Hi to Baba! ((xx))

Hello to everyone else. Are we still posting on both threads or are we to use just the one?

Off for an early night as have had 2 crazy, busy days at work and have not been used to hard work

Night night

CH, What's new????????????????
You said you would be back this afternoon!

Baba · 01/11/2005 10:37

Only just worked out what TTC means so yes I am a TTC er!!! Have another thread Can't get pregnant....... finding it SO frustrating seeing as it took no effort on our part to conceive ds who is now 3 and a half.

Doesn't help that we both work full-time and husband also works 4 nights out of 7, drink too much (me) and stress too much (him)!!!!

Oh and ds doesn't sleep through the night, wets the bed and has violent tantrums. But I love my life!!!!!

Coathanger · 01/11/2005 10:28

Don't cry Peepee hehe! I'm going to stay on here for a while....

....but watch this space coz there will be something new this afternoon!!

Oo-er, what could it be??!!

Got you all a-thinkin' now!....

Going to a birthday party this afternoon so got to go and get sorted for that. But will be back later on so will chat then....

Lotsa luv everyone! XX

CH, I read your post TTC thread, does this mean you are not going to be lurking on this thread either?
I will miss 'my care in the community' freind

peepee · 01/11/2005 08:41

I have loads of sweeties left over. The trick or treaters stopped coming round after 7.30 as it started to rain here.
I am going to lie in bed feeling sorry for myself and eat the sweeties.

peepee · 01/11/2005 08:33

Morning all........
HellKat,
I sometimes feel like you. I was feeling the same yesterday. DH and I had a long chat and eventually we decided to keep going. We have no kids together and he already has two. So it was really quite an issue at first. He is happy to go along with our decision but is just not as excited and dedicated as me.
You know what as soon as you stop it'll happen
Good luck and hopefully you will be back soon to say Hi!

Coathanger · 01/11/2005 08:20

HK, Hun, you don't have to leave here, Y'know. You are a club member for life and it is here so we can just chat and catch up. I know how you feel, seeing as I deserted first! But see this thread as an outlet - use it if you need to catch up or rant or scream!! I'll be here!! XXXX

Morning all.
This will be my last post as for ttc. I said earlier on the other thread that I'd had enough of it all and after talking to dp, we've decided to be thankful for what we've got. If I happen to become pg along the way then fab but we're not holding our breath.
I desperately wanted to be pg before my due date (5th) and it has'nt happened. So no more cd counting, ov testing, just getting on with things. It's actually a relief now, at least I won't have ttc in the back of my mind. I'm going to try and get my body sorted (Endo) and enjoy being us for a while. It was a terrible strain but dp has been a sweetheart (as always ).
Also, it's just not the same not ttc with my fab matey CH.
So good luck to those who are ttc, sackloads of baby glue to those who are pg and {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}.
I'll pop back now and then to see how you're doing.
Take care all, thanks for everything.

Lazy cow that i am, copying and pasting this message lol. x

Coathanger · 01/11/2005 07:56

Oh, we had hundreds!! But the boys loved it. They got dressed up to and answered the door and gave out the sweets. We completely stripped the house of all things sweet! But it was nice to see so many organised Trick and treaters, out with parents, and not just teens who had bought a cheap mask at the papershop and decided to go begging!! It was fun!!

So how are you all this morning?

Got you post HK You had me blubbing. I'm not joking You must pop on and off here with me y'know - your membership is for life! Don't forget, this thread was started for those of us who had become friends on the TTC thread, and wanted to carry on chatting. There is no reason for you not to post here if you want to chat. I'll be here! I can't let go of MN altogether yet so this is my sactuary. It can be yours too xxxxxxxxxxxx
