Happy birthday orange :)

Emoo Hang in there, I know it's hard and I've got everything crossed for your scan.

(Same goes for the rest of you being scanned this week)

Still no symptoms at all here, apart from occasionally slightly tender BiscuitBiscuit

No morning sickness, no cravings, no increase in trips to the loo, nothing. Nada. I know I should be celebrating the fact that I'm not chucking my guts up, but I'm really really worried now. Even though pupkin had a heartbeat on Sat and I've not had any spotting since I'm just really really certain that there is something wrong. :(

Courage, my lovely. We are all right there with you x

Wakari that is top news that the spotting has stopped :)

owlbooty · 15/02/2011 09:49

You lot; I have just discovered the wonders of Gaviscon liquid. Not the aniseed one, the minty one. It tastes like shite but seems to be some sort of miracle elixir Grin

I've not had any cravings at all which is odd as I frequently get them in 'normal' life.

Happy birthday Orange !

Mamapower · 15/02/2011 08:44

Happy birthday orange hope you have a fabulous day Grin has the excitement been too much cause u were up and posting at stupid o'clock (or do u have a bladder like mine at the mo.... Keeping u awake)!!!

Daisybell1 · 15/02/2011 08:03

Thanks for making me feel so welcome, kettle's on for Brews all round

Wombat has been putting up with me mentalling in private at her so I'm sure she's glad to share the load Grin

and Digi you've summed it up perfectly - the ante-natal threads are just a bit bouncy, perky and little fluffy bunny rabbits for me Hmm

nickstermum · 15/02/2011 07:19

Salady not salary Doh

nickstermum · 15/02/2011 07:18

Bonkers cravings orange!
Yum tinned mackerel in tomato sauce (never in a million years would I eat it normally but I have it in as Ds loves it with pasta!!) and a huge crispy dressed salad with coleslaw Mmmm :)

Nice to be craving salary things rather than processed White shite, and no complaints about wanting fish !! That's a first :)

So tired, up all night again .... Wriggling 3 yo

OrangeGloss · 15/02/2011 05:08

Pink looking back by the time I'd finished my posted, you'd posted yourself and I missed it! I hope you have a really relaxing boring week (((hugs)))

(((hugs))) for you too Emoo that this week going quickly and you have a good scan on Friday. It could just be growing pains, but I know nothing can reassure you like a scan. Except come on here and let out some of your worry

I never ate chocolate before pg but now can't get enough of the stuff! And carbs are the only thing that settle my stomach - I have a fruit loaf in my drawer at work Blush though I do have early morning cravings for salted lettuce Hmm

Emoo · 14/02/2011 21:26

wakari goodness me if scans were that cheap near me I think I would be having weekly ones!

digi good news for today's scan and I think you are very wise getting in a decent gap before the next one.

daisy welcome! I hope you find some comfort in mentalling along with us!

orange happy birthday for tomorrow!!

I'm also waking up consistently too early, usually cos I need a wee, and am therefore knackered all the time. I am clinging onto these as symptoms.

Emoo · 14/02/2011 21:21

Evening all, and happy valentines day!!

I'm having a major wobble today. Got some fairly mild but definite period-like back pains. Feeling wobbly because of negative associations - first time it happened I went into very prem labour with DD, second time it was earliest sign of MC. I've been obsessively knicker checking and nothing worrying yet, but I've just got a very bad feeling about it. Scan on Friday. Not helping that this is probably about the time I lost the last one, even though it did not show itself until nearly 9 weeks. pink I understand a little how you must be feeling too (((( hugs ))))

OrangeGloss · 14/02/2011 20:42

Hairy so glad you're home and can relax. Did you go into work today as planned?
Digi that's great news, I measured smaller than dates but they didn't seem to mind. You're not selfish, we're here to listen
Mamap thanks for the birthday wishes, it's tomorrow, I just got my present early :)
Wombat good plan about holding out, I'm thinking if I don't have one I should get the money to go shopping with :)
Nix sorry you're feeling so rough, shame you can't take longer off. Glad the bleeding has stopped, must be a relief
Knitter I'm the same with symptoms. Saturday I was worried I'd only been slightly sick in the morning rather than full-on, but the proceeded to puke 3 times that evening!
Hi Daisy if you're crampy already the cat probably just heightened it rather than did anything
Glad to hear it's stopped Wakari wow that's a cheap scan don't blame you! What a lovely story about the balloon

I think my ms is getting better (after the 4-puke on Saturday) so at 11+1 I hope that's about 'average'

digitalgirl · 14/02/2011 19:56

wombat pleased to hear all's still mildly boring with you.

hairy glad you're back at home already. Take care of yourself. The wait for test results can seem long, but it really isn't. I got all mine within 3 months - and that included waiting till I'd had a cycle to do the clotting tests.

daisy welcome - sometimes you just need to be where others understand the fear and anxiety. I can't post on the due in oct ante-natal thread at the moment, not because of fear of 'jinxing' but because there are so many on there who are lucky enough to not really understand what it's like to be terrified.

knitter ooo bland food is one of my symptoms!

wakari yay, someone who's as early on as me! Glad the spotting's stopped. I love your pink balloon omen.

ladybee thanks for reassurance. My symptoms this time round have been quite different and all over the place.

I'm going to need a lot of support over the next couple of weeks...until I see a strong heartbeat. That's a really important milestone for me. The next scan is going to be incredibly nerve-wracking.

Feeling a bit icky, but have curry on the way. Oh joy at feeling icky, it's not a complaint, it's me boasting!

Waves to hippy

PinkFondantFancy · 14/02/2011 19:34

Oh nix am right off normal chocolate - bar of milka's been in the fridge for a month now but developed a worrying addition to creme eggs, mini eggs and mint aeros Shock

PinkFondantFancy · 14/02/2011 19:32

Hello all - this had fallen off the list of threads I'm on so thought I'd better pop in and say hello!!

nix your dinner sounds v. healthy, if a bit weird!!! I can't stop eating - I am going to be the size of a house shortly independently of what a baby will do to me..... We've got XXL Papa Johns on its way Grin

digi glad everything's measuring ok for dates. Good idea waiting a week and a bit for a follow-up, fingers crossed you'll see a reassuringly big difference by then

hairy I'm thinking of you nice lady, hope you're ok.

Hi daisy it sounds normal to me (although no experience of making it that far yet!!)

lady I am the same with the Clexane injections - on my left side it stings like hell and bruises, on my right size it's not at all so bad. Like you say, all part of the routine now (along with shoving hormones up my arse......) Still, not complaining, if this works I'd do it 3 times a day........

This is a big week for me this week - am now 8w+0 - didn't make it to 9w last time so am keeping everything crossed and trying not to be menkul......

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 19:24

a box

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 19:22

You've passed that one on to me! (the weetabix not the tinned tomato fish - never in a million years will I eat that!) have got through a any since being seized by the urge late last week Smile

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 19:07

Funnily enough Wombo i havent had any weetabix for weeks! Grin gone right off it.

Just sent DS out to get me a nice cold crispy salad... thats all i want Grin with a tin of tomato fish Grin BONKERS

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 18:16

It's all that Weetabix Nix Wink

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 18:04

owl have to say if i cough or sneeze in bed it fecking wrecks unless i bring my legs up to my chest to absorb the twinge....

popped into tesco en route to collect DS from pre-school tonight and felt all sticky and wet, and twingy... so of course had to rush to examine... NOTHING! SO... WHEN the feck will i start to relax? 15 weeks pg FFS!
Hmm could it have been fluttering!?? Who knows, i dont!

PS all, as you come into the second trimester everything is expanding and growing xx

Not sicky but still very picky about what i eat and still cant eat chocolate...WTF?! Should by rights look like posh spice by now Grin

nickstermum · 14/02/2011 18:00

daisy i have two cats, 1kilocat and 7kilocat... 1kilocat drilled on me after pouncing on my bump the other day and it was very tender, the next day i had a brown bleed (totally unrelated btw) but my tummy was very tender anyway....

I was scanned a day or two later and bambino was fine and surrounded in tons of water...

I think its very probably to do with ligament and stretching at this stage? You would know about cramping.. there is a stark difference between cramping and twinges.. trust me I MC at 12 weeks last time. The cramps are like your uterus being squeezed and released...

Am sure you will be totally ok xxxx

wakarimasen · 14/02/2011 17:07

Digitalgirl glad your scan went ok. I am 5 weeks tomorrow so I think our dates are very similar! It's nice to have someone to hold hands with Smile

daisy so many people have cramps in the early stages so I'm sure its nothing. My cat loves lying across my belly Hmm

lovemysleep I wast jsut thinking how pasty I look after getting home from work!

It seems a few people are waking early in the morning. I wondered if I was waking early because I am majorly slightly anxious!

Good news for me is that brown spotting has got less and less and not had any for 24 hrs. This is really positive for me as I just spotted for weeks before last MC so I am trying to be more positive.

Going to GP tomorrow if only to register that I am pregant. I am also going to book in a for a private scan as they are only £25 where we are. I would rather pay than have to go back to the hospital where I had my ERPC in August Sad

But trying to be postitive. It's funny because just before I got a BFP we were driving on the motorway and suddenly a pink balloon bounced off the bonnet. I thought that was some sort of sign and I am using that as a positive force right now Smile

Daisybell1 · 14/02/2011 17:05

Thank you so much, I think the cat must hjave exacerbated the standard stretching, had another twinge just then ducking to avoid owl's haddock!

Cat is now evicted after last night's antics...

Wombat33 · 14/02/2011 16:53

Oh Owl don't remove all hope from us!! Grin

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 16:10

Also; blooming? Tis a myth I tell you. I feel sicky and farty today. NOT attractive.

owlbooty · 14/02/2011 16:09

Welcome :) I had a scan at 9+4 and told the doc I had been getting mucho stretchy crampy feelings. She said it was ligaments and muscles and stuff shifting about. I wonder if your badass cat has inadvertently twanged some of your poor stretching ligaments? In which case they will probably be a bit sensitive today. I seem to manage this every time I cough or sneeze and actually did myself a right mischief watching you've been framed last night (laughing when you're not expecting to is surprisingly painful) :)

btw; my cat will have a flying lesson if he tries that stunt.
