oh by the way - if you're more comfortable in an underwire you don't have to switch to non-structured bras, just make sure you get properly fitted. It's only if you decide to BF that you really need to go to a nursing bra - of course if you're aching at night, then a sleep bra might help - I used them first time around with DS but my boobs are much less sore this time around (because they've already been bigger?? who knows?).

News from me: I had an urgent need for jelly babies this afternoon so dashed to the shop, ate a whole bag in 15 mins.... Now I feel like shit. Can't believe it seemed like a good idea. No idea if it's jelly babies or ms now though-it was quite a few hours ago now.

Also, told one of my colleagues about being pg as have been doing random hours and not really pulling my weight-he fell around laughing and said he'd guessed as I've only worn new clothes for a week now- d-oh!! I've gone up a dress size due to the norks and doubtless the 100,000 calories a day are doing something too..... I'd better track down boss and fess up asap tomorrow....

Do any of you still have complete of people with preggy bumps??? I caught myself giving death stares to a random girl on the platform that was smugly rubbing her bump this evening, when I remembered I too am diffed.... It still makes me want to cry, maybe it's because I so want this to work out but have no idea whether it will or not.

Also am a bit cos I'm off to the gp on Friday to arrange mw booking in appt, which going on past experience will be on 12w+0. This means I won't get my "12w scan" until at least 14w. This means I'll have been completely shafted if it's inconclusive or I need more scans, cos private will only do it until 14w+6 and they have a long waiting list at the one in London that I'd use. Marvellous. I'd hoped to use private as a last resort as it's £170 for the nuchal test but looks like I might not get any choice. Still, if I make it to 14w I'll be so chuffed can't imagine I'll really be complaining about anything.

Hi ladies - I'm semi-lurking. Just got so much work on I don't know what to do with myself. I have a project that I estimate will take me until early April to complete and received minutes today from 'those that be' saying it needs to be done by 9th March - the day before my 12 week scan (if I even get there). So annoyed. Can't handle the stress. Will be impossible to do but won't stop me feeling awful for not managing, and angry for having to try do that much at this time of my life.

digi and owl My mum told me in my second pg (just before my 2nd MC) that I needed to "think positive". I found that so irritating and also felt that if things went wrong it would be my fault for failing to 'think positive'. She'd be so unhappy to know I took it that way, because she's amazing really, but I think people who don't know will just never know. This time around I haven't told a soul ... my version of being able to 'think positive' is to not have people keep telling me to do so

knitter I hunted out your AIBU thread as well and really laughed. If my DH tried that with me I'd say 'But of course dear' and then demand he pays for me to stay in a luxury hotel to get out of the situation. YA definately NBU!! That's very weird.

My next scan is early tomorrow morning, and then DH has a surgical procedure at a different hospital as a day patient and I need to be with him to drive him home. It's going to be a sh*t day if we get bad news in the morning then have the entire day to get through in a hospital waiting room for DH. My symptoms are totally gone, so not feeling too positive. DH is almost insane with stress and worry about the scan (weirdly, not his test).

Thanks for the advice all and Dachs what great news!! Two little pups playing together in there! :) :) When I was PG with DS I thought I was not as far gone as I was. Remember the MW saying "that's a 20 week uterus or you have twins!" Was still getting over the shock of being pregnant and then got told by MIL that they had a history of twins in the family. Luckily, it was only the one though.

Woweeeeeee dachs brilliant news. I did so hope so, but wondered if my optimism was getting the better of me. Also is very good news for fritters about early scans, knowing that 2 eggs put in on the same day can implant and grow differently. So pleased. X

Will catch up more tomorrow, just off out to sit through 1.5 hrs of hell (parents invited to brownies, not sure why...)
