OK, so now I have bloods telling me that everything seems to be ok, but can someone explain how to get through the next week and a half until my scan? I have no idea whatsoever how I'm meant to stop stressing and obsessing - answers on a postcard please :)

and Grin for mamap's ponderings on us lot desperate for morning sickness and all bad things to do with pg when most women are desperately NOT wanting them

Manic day so not keeping up but just wanted to say yey!! Grin for Dachs numbers
hugs for Digi and welcome Silver because I don't think I said it yesterday...

Also having a less crap-feeling day. Which is good. Because there's no let up at work today!

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 03/02/2011 14:18

mamatwin I have got a ridiculous amount of saliva!! Some nights I wake up choaking on it!! It's my best symptom :)

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 03/02/2011 14:15

dacha that is a storming increase! Well done matey!

owly good to hear about nausea coming and going-I've been feeling a lot less shite today and panicked for a bit.....

Mamapower · 03/02/2011 13:45

Awww digi symptoms do come and go and some woman have none at all, and there are probably lots of indicators that you are not even picking up on, tiny, seemingly insignificant changes, with me it was an increase in saliva and nose bleeds! We must be the only bunch of pg ladies that would actually love to be throwing their gutts up on a daily basis Grin Big hugs Smile

digitalgirl · 03/02/2011 13:15

dachs that great news

hairy god if tehre was ever a time for sleeping pills and being able to just sleep through til we hear some good news, now is it.

mamap I have a scan on the 14th with the consultant. Was feeling v positive yesterday as I was brimming with symptoms. But nothing today other than depression and dizziness. God I hope it's a one off.

I just want to not feel empty.

Mamapower · 03/02/2011 12:44

Owl that's fabulous news about sarahmia Awww, that's really made me Smile

Mamapower · 03/02/2011 12:41

Lady I thought moving to Kent was exciting but NZ, wow! What an amazing opportunity, good luck with your preparations over the coming weeks.

Welcome and congrat's again digi Have you been to the GP yet? Why don't you request a 6/7 week scan in view of your history and see if they'll oblige? Might put your mind at rest (big hugs)

Smile at Dach's number* fabulous, now feet up and relax please missus!

Hairy good luck for the scan tomorrow, like owl says, close your eyes until they speak, is dh going with you to hold your hand?

owlbooty · 03/02/2011 12:34

Have just spotted sarahmia on one of the prg threads & she is 16 weeks :) That's so lovely.

hairyfairylights · 03/02/2011 12:01

appointment is 9am but previously there's been a bit of a wait to be seen so sometime after 9am. Hospital is about half an hour away so will be later that I am able to report back.

Have taken rest of tomorrow off, as I didn't want to tempt fate.

owlbooty · 03/02/2011 11:56

Dachs that is effing brilliant chick :) :)

Hairy we will all be there holding your virtual hand (not if it's an internal scan tho, that'd be wrong) :)

Just close your eyes til they tell you something. It's the only way forwards. What time is the scan?

hairyfairylights · 03/02/2011 11:44

I will look if they say they can see stuff :)

and if it's ok, I will come home and start clearing out to make space for a baby in my house - cosmic ordering and all that :)

DachshundsWantPuppies · 03/02/2011 11:30

oh hairy I know it's scary

But if it's good news (which there's no reason to think it won't be) you'll be really pleased to see it :)

Dachs big sqeeze to you.

I am wondering about asking for a repeat HCG test when I have my scan tomorrow.

I am really, really, really scared. I wish I could just go to sleep for the scan.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 03/02/2011 10:57

I have a number - 1765 :)

owlbooty · 03/02/2011 10:33

Digi - please come in, make yourself comfy and freak out as much as you like. I also am crossing everything for you, even my toes. Tis v.lovely to see you in here but v.shit that you are fretting so much already :(

Bee OMG! That's going to be an amazing change, you're going to be super-busy for the next few months. Good news about the belching. Grin Belching is always a good sign, if completely gross.

Orange I haven't puked once (neither did my Mum in her 3 pregnancies) but the nausea definitely comes and goes - one day I'd feel fine and the next day grotty then fine for a week or so then grotty. Completely random and designed to make one panic.

Tony - couldn't have put it better myself. It is a bloody miracle putting together another human being.

Dachs hope your bloods come back looking good x

hairyfairylights · 03/02/2011 10:11

Hey Digi welcome! and congratulations. I too am on 75mg aspirin prescribed by consultant.

Have got everything crossed for you hon.

digitalgirl · 03/02/2011 10:03

hello. can i just come in here and hide please? Am somewhere between 12-14dpo. Had crampy symptoms two days ago so tested and got bfp, so started taking junior aspirin and all crampy symptoms have disappeared since. Had buzzy boobs and very faint nausea yesterday, temp even went up today...but have lost that reassuring heavy, crampy feeling. Sad

Trying to think happy thoughts, but I'm feeling ever so sad that I might not even get to see this bean on a scan...

And i have a weird symptom that usually happens just before AF/mc, my hair falls out. And a load of it came out this morning in the shower. Sad

Please please please let this one work. I thought I had at least two-three weeks of pretending everything was ok before I officially started freaking out (previous 3 mcs all happened around 6-7 week mark).

nickstermum · 03/02/2011 09:18

OMFG BEE! thats incredible news about NZ.....WOW! Congratulations on that and also reaching 8 weeks Grin

Wombat33 · 03/02/2011 09:08

yep, I was told it should increase at least 66% in 48-72 hrs but it slows down as the numbers get bigger xxx

Ladybee · 03/02/2011 09:04

Hi ladies - I've been reading but just miserable at the moment and am finding difficult to stay awake to post. But I'm completely amazed by the bouncy one's news!!!!!! It's like some bad joke about buses Grin
you really are giving me a lesson in zen too - really fantastic attitude. Good luck I'm looking forward to seeing how you progress through this journey Smile

Great tips for easing the nausea, I tried the salt & vinegar crisps and nearly cried they were so good. I also remember fruit-flavoured sweets from DS and I also found anything cold and crunchy helped so carrot sticks, apple slices from the fridge and cold fizzy water.
owlbooty I have the belching - had it with DS, it lasted until indigestion kicked in Sad.

So far this pregnancy has been the most similar to DS, which I'm finding a little reassuring, but now that the nausea is established I'm finding myself remembering that last time it stayed still about wk 15. I'm torn between hoping it goes sooner this time but being terrified it will as my symptoms dropped off with both mcs last year.

Had another consultant appt yesterday and will be scanned again in about 3 wks when I'll be 10/11 wks. Not sure if I'll crumble before then and try to get a private one in-between - I'm 8 wks today. Still I now have plenty to take my mind off all this, DH has just been offered and accepted a new job... in new Zealand!! We will relocating in may assuming all the paperwork goes through, so will have to get house ready to let, sort and pack as well as try to figure out what I'm going to do, in the next 3 months. Eek!

Hope everyone is feeling ok, and finding ways to deal with nerves/worries if not. Hugs to all

silverangel · 03/02/2011 08:58

orangegloss - the rational part of me says its too early - its the 90% irrational part of me worrying!! Have booked a private scan for a couple of weeks when I will hopefully be 8 weeks and then maybe will be able to put my mind to rest! Puking in the shower, now that sounds like a good start to the day!!

Dachsunds - fingers crossed for you.

Hope you all have a good day.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 03/02/2011 08:43

dachs remember it takes 48-72 hours to double so don't panic if it's not quite there!

nickstermum · 03/02/2011 08:33

Orange the sickness and nausea comes and goes and from reading your post it sounds like its pretty full on iwth you at the min. Dont forget as you near 12 weeks the placenta kicks in and many of the symptoms disappear anyway! Grin

DachshundsWantPuppies · 03/02/2011 07:57

pink monday's reading was 727, I get yesterday's reading some time this morning so I'll let you know when I hear! :) (FX it's doubled, otherwise I'll be a mess...)
