wombat good luck with house hunting, we can't find anything and have been gazzumped twice on the only two I liked!! I thought the country was in recession...apparently not in the south east! Grrrr! Still, house hunting is a good distraction Smile

Pink I've had that feeling of thinking 'if I could actually be sick I'd feel better!' I'm sure puking will come before we know it Grin

preeeety I think my dh is quite enjoying my morning and evening boob flashes Grin Grin

Waves to all

Wombat33 · 04/02/2011 10:51

Please will you all stop talking about mackerel Grin Grin That's be enough to make me chuck on an ordinary day Grin Having a mini freak out here because of the whole it not seeming real thing. I can't quite believe the bean might be in there and growing okay. Irt just all seems so surreal and unlikely. Plus my symptoms have done a disappearing act on me again Hmm

Whoop fpr moving to NZ - that is soooooooo exciting!! Did I miss exactly where in NZ?? I love the place - have only been once but stayed for 6 weekks and travelled all over. One day I will get back there!

Work has been insanely busy this week so I'm holding on to the 'bean will take what it needs and it's me that will suffer' thoughts. Hope it's true. Only 4 more days til next scan but I'm already dreading it. Trying to distract myself by looking for a house to buy (why is no one selling anything around where I want to live?!?!?)!

Emoo · 04/02/2011 10:39

Dachs - well done on the super duper hCG numbers. My pg doesn't feel real either - have no symptoms at all yet. Well, not of pregnancy anyway. I have a disgusting cold and am feeling rather sorry for myself though Sad. I hope the next week goes fast for you - perhaps go and buy a really good book?

Hairy - looking forward to some good news from you! Fingers crossed, good luck.

Nix - wow, 13 weeks! Seems to have gone fast... Hope your infection is clearing up. Hmmmm mackerel from tin... sounds quite nice actually, might have to go and look in the cupboard!

Pink - dangerous train journeys? Hmm Wouldn't agonise about it too much! You make a good point about the long days though - the odd one is probably fine, but if it's every day, might be worth thinking if anything can be changed? But as Nix says, that's to make you feel better and I can't see how it would have a significant effect on bean. Sorry your friend is not being helpful.

silverangel · 04/02/2011 10:23

happy Fridays everyone!

Hairy best of luck for today.

Orange - still laughing at that!

I am pleased to report that since last night I keep needing to wee, which I had last time, so taking that as a good sign Smile

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 04/02/2011 10:19

lurky lurky lurking for news from hairy

Weird about the oranges lady - I found that nix's tip about fresh OJ worked a treat yesterday.

I woke up at 2 this morning and spent a while trying to chuck my guts up - was brilliant Grin Feel like I would feel better if I could actually be sick but never get to that stage.

emoo feel your pain with the internet thing - I am clueless at that stuff, luckily DH is pretty handy at sorting it out.

I've taken the next few Fridays off work on holiday - feel like I need to take it a little bit easy for the next few weeks at least to try and give the little bean its best possible chance. Work were a bit Hmm about what I was planning to do with all my long weekends though......

Emoo · 04/02/2011 10:00

Morning all..!

Hope it goes well for you today Hairy.

I've been missing due to internet problems... finally got it sorted, turns out they'd not taken a direct debit payment, and there was a bar on the account, but the silly fools didn't tell me that when I phoned to find out what the problem was... no, I've spent ages on the phone to technical support and poor DH has reinstalled goodness-knows-what and changed ADSL filters...arrrrrghgghhghgh Angry.

Right, off to read back to see what I've missed - be back later...

DachshundsWantPuppies · 04/02/2011 09:47

pretty I'd LURVE twins, but I don't think I've got two in there (although Dr Google is not being a v reliable source of info so I'm still clinging on to the hope that there might be more than one in there!)

Ladybee · 04/02/2011 09:34

Hairy best of luck, I have everything crossed it's ok for you.

Apparently babybean does not like oranges. At least not at breakfast time.
I've been waking at 4am last few nights - this is one of my symptoms, happens every time - but have found eating a biscuit then helps with first wave of nausea in the morning. Didn't help with the orange-provoked vom this morning (sorry) that took me by surprise because I'd just been freaking a bit about how fine I felt. Oops.

Am on training today, nice to not be at my desk - rubbish because I have to stand up and present and just want to lie down and snooze.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 04/02/2011 09:12

hairy good luck today! :)

Good luck Hairymary Grin
Deep breath, close your eyes, try not to break DP's fingers .
Just think of us all rooting for you xx

(((((( Didge )))))) wish I lived near Regents Park.

Bee wonderful news about NZ. Smile

Dachs, good results, would you like twins?

Orange you made me spit tea a little bit.
Well done for puking good and proper! Grin
Because of the 'roids I don't get much MS, so DP just has to put up with daily status updates about my boobs.

Loves to EverybodyPeeps, got to run, going to be late .

OrangeGloss · 04/02/2011 06:22

Thanks everyone I think I'm just worried about it stopping before my scan and worrying, pre-empting it, so reassuring if it does stop. I puked yesterday, despite aiming in the loo it went all over the wall too! It was glorious and I wouldn't have it any other way Grin sorry if tmi

Ladybee wow, New Zealand!! That'll certainly take your mind off things! I'd go for another scan if it'll put your mind at ease
Dachs that's great news. Twins then? I agree with Wombat sleep helps pass the awful waiting time
Digi I hope you're feeling rotten in no time. Damn those pesky symptoms coming and going to worry us
Hairy good luck for today (((hugs)))

I had my booking in app yesterday which was tearful Blush but a good positive step I suppose

tonythetyger · 03/02/2011 21:55

Dachs - very pleased to hear that news.

My tips on relaxing are to fill your life with lots of other things so you don't have too much time to worry. Also enjoyable exercise is good as it tires you out and makes you feel better. I try to go swimming 2-3 times a week.

If the positive visioning thing works go for it. Personally I'm going for just trying to enjoy each bit and not look to the next part so if God forbid bad things happen I can look back and say that at least I was able to conceive which is already a step forward.

Ladybee - wow! Good luck! I'm getting freaked out at having to move 10 mins away in the next few weeks because our lease is running out and the house we've been trying to buy looks like it'll fall through. Does your husband's new job include help with settling you in at the other end?

Thank goodness the joke about buses isn't entirely true as round here they tend to come in 3-4s Grin

Great new about sarahmia as well. She contacted me for a bit but then went silent and I didn't want to push her so figured she would call or email if she really wanted to.

digitalgirl · 03/02/2011 21:35

Good luck tomorrow hairy

Symptoms still haven't returned but I went for a long walk at lunchtime up to regents park which helped clear my head. I'm going to experiment with not taking an aspirin tonight to see if the heaviness/cramping returns. I hate waking up not feeling pregnant.

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 03/02/2011 20:55

Good luck for tomorrow hairy hope you've been enjoying your time off work.

hairyfairylights · 03/02/2011 18:03

:)

nickstermum · 03/02/2011 17:56

Grin My DS was beanie webb when he was a bean, the second one we lost was called nugget (after a thing for chicken nuggets) and this one we havent named yet!

Mamapower · 03/02/2011 17:36

Hairy I talk to my bean all the time and it has a name for whilst inside me, 'Tinker', that came about because he hid from me for 3 days giving negative tests but I knew he was in there so called him a little tinker Smile I fully intend on naming all my beans and talking to them, the first was 'Tiny' (seems ironic now as he died very tiny), unfortunately the second was a cp so never got the chance to name! I am so positive it's ridiculous but it gets me through and at least I've tried, no matter what!

hairyfairylights · 03/02/2011 16:20

DP will be with me to hold my hand in a vice like grip

I have had a nice day out with a 5 mths preg friend, and my sister and her six week old ivf baby :)

Has taken my mind off things a bit.

I'm with you Pinky my counsellor has been getting me to try and do the visioning thing and talking to my little one, and imagining our home with him/her safely delivered.

I was convinced the lost one was a girl, and I'm convinced this one is a boy Confused

PinkIsACheeseAddict · 03/02/2011 16:08

I am totally following womby's policy of being unconscious as much as possible, and when conscious I talk to my bean and try and visualise it being snug and safe and happy. Not easy and I feel like if it goes wrong this is going to make it even worse but feel like I have to try my best to connect with it, as last time I was convinced it wa going to go wrong and feel guilty for not believing in the poor little thing.

Wombat33 · 03/02/2011 15:25

Sleep as much as you can - that's my solution at least Grin The more time I'm unconcious in bed, the quicker it's one day closer to the next goal.
