Back later-pretending to work...

PinkFondantFancy · 17/02/2011 18:04

Quickie: owl the chuffing thing is in the bloke pregnancy guides (not that my DH can be arsed Yo read his... Angry ) hehehe prob for the best they are forewarned. Cheeky midwife!!!! That is ridiculous! Glad it went well, am Envy of your advanced state of diffdom

wombie amazing about bean moving-mine haven't been so far but I guess too small at mo.

Who was asking about dildo cam? I've now had 5 ( 3 this preg-scan dependent, me???) and can confirm they don't look at the state of your garden. I can't be arsed to even tidy anymore-figure they've seen much worse.....

Am so tempted to go for another scan next week but would like to hold out to 10 weeks really a) so the dr doesn't think I'm a nob b) to stop baking beany just in case it does turn out to be dangerous!! And c) cos will be exciting to hopefully see 2 weeks of progression. Unfortunately it also means there will be 2 weeks worth of pent up mentalling.

owlbooty · 17/02/2011 17:33

What amused me was that the lovely MW said 'ooh, it's usually the younger ones that do that...'

I am officially an old codger at 34. Grin

MamaP I've been belching/chuffing for England for the last 7 weeks. They never tell you about THAT in the pregnancy books, do they?

Mamapower · 17/02/2011 17:04

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee for wombat and her cycling bean, great news hon.

Owl I want your MW, she sounds bloody fabulous... and a recording of the heartbeat, how amazing is that?! Glad all is well and I hope that you manage to either dislodge that trapped wind or that your bean makes a more significant movement so you can be sure it is not just a giant fart your are harbouring Grin

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/02/2011 17:03

owl the heartbeat is so lovely - great idea to record on your phone... must remember that when I get to that stage [positive thoughts emoticon]

wombat and lovely news on your scan too

Suddenly realised that soon it'll be my scan... the 22nd has seemed like AGES away but actualy it's just tomorrow, then the weekend and then monday and then scanday :)

owlbooty · 17/02/2011 16:42

Hoorah for Womblebean ! Seeing toes is completely excellent. Misbehaving in scans is also excellent Grin

Wombat33 · 17/02/2011 16:31

Oooh Owl how exciting and can I have a doughnut please?!?!?!

Welcome MrsRobin - congratulations on your bean!! I wish you a stress-free time this time around (and if you do feel stressed - which is inevitable sometimes - these girls are amazingly supportive!).

Welcome too to Brian HmmGrin

Good news here from the scan - Womblebean is still in place and now 4cm Grin Grin Grin Suspect I'm still going to have random panics but am sooo relieved to see it after the last lot of bleeding. So much clearer than last time around too!!! Grin (and for those of you who've been putting up with me for ages and know the back story - it seems to have all it's limbs currently looking fine and we could even see the bones forming for fingers and thumbs Grin Grin No news on toes yet but it was busy pretending to ride a bicyle so we couldn't get a good look at the feet Grin) Hope that's not an insensitive amount of information to share with for those still in the very early stages. Phew. 10+5 today. I want one of those time machines someone [pink?] was mentioning the other day Smile

Sorry - been terrible at catching up with all your news today - I've been sitting at my desk wibbling. Will be better tomorrow I promise. Love to you all xxxx

owlbooty · 17/02/2011 15:52

Y'know, all this talk of pork scratching bumholes has almost put me off the bag of doughnuts I am eating.

I said, 'almost' Grin

Fanjocam? I thought it was called dildocam. I have been exceptionally lucky and only had external scans but I managed to hang on for my first one til 9+4.

sleepy you poor bugger, that's a veritable cocktail of drugs you're on.

I have been for my 16 wk MW appointment today and I completely love my midwife. She found a heartbeat and let me record it on my phone, and says I can pop in and see her at her drop in clinic whenever I want to. She is ace. I am officially no longer stressed.

Also, excitingly, I think I may actually have felt some movement from the Owlet today. That or it's a massive chuff waiting to escape. Could be either, I'm not placing bets.

Got all my fingers crossed for you, ladies :)

DachshundsWantPuppies · 17/02/2011 15:14

Sorry, can't talk much, an crazy busy at work but i wanted you all to know I haven't forgotten you!

Will prob not be back much until tomorrow or the weekend.

FX for all scans

emoo deforestation not really required for fanjocam - you cover yourself in a towel and they don't actually look, so unless they had to massively battle their way through it won't be an issue Wink I had heartbeat on pup1 at 5+6 and pup2 at 6+5, so FX you see something but it's not guaranteed and it's not a problem if you don't see one, so don't get too stressed about it

I sense a sugar overload has taken place!!! Either that or Brian isn't a typo at all Grin Grin

lovemysleep · 17/02/2011 14:02

will you all please stop making me laugh so much? Sound like i need that straightjacket!

and emoo the pork scratching nipple - GAHHHHHHHHH! - that is so vile, I think I almost lost my lunch. That's definately put paid to any chance of a craving for those dirty, filthy things. If you can find a nipple, I bet you can find a bumhole.....And got to get myself sorted down below too, reckon it will be fanjocam tomorrow too Grin. Backs an old thing - well, did it in last year lugging furniture around, and now looks like I'll have it forever. Pilates helps a bit. Am a bit nervous that pg will makes it hurt like hell, so keep meaning to start doing some back exercise, but seem to hav lost my exercise mojo (eg turned into lazy, sleepy, eating machine).

Brian, who is this pg Brian? Is my pg brain missing something very obvious here?

Prettyvacant course you can call me Love. Am on steroids - 40mg daily, 75mg aspirin, omeprazole and progesterone. Due to have an intraplipid infusion again in 2 weeks. All because of very high NK cells. I'm 6+2 weeks, and I'm finding the meds ok - if there are any symptoms, they're just like being pg anyhow.

Knitter hope the leg gets better soon - sounds painful! I often fantasize about being a runner-type of person, and then attempt it, and it KILLS me. Always seems such a good way of getting fit.

MrsRobin healthy day has deteriorated - have had to scoff 6 crackerbread with real butter, and applewood cheese. God, what is it with cheese? Healthy salad obviously did not have enough carbs and fat.

Should really get the hoover out.....nah, gonna read my book til it's time to do the school run! How indulgent Smile

digitalgirl · 17/02/2011 13:53

any scan news?

PrettyVacant1 · 17/02/2011 13:47

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/02/2011 13:35

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 13:29

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 13:29

Wonders who the deck is Brian that p v is talking about!??

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 13:28

Sadly knits they are short and stumpy!

KnitterNotTwitter · 17/02/2011 13:27

PV thanks for the straitjacket looks surprisingly similar to an Isabella Oliver Maternity Wrap top :)

Very bored at work today. I have masses to do but no one dares to nag me about it given my current 'part-time on doctors orders' status... Must get motivated again....

PrettyVacant1 · 17/02/2011 13:23

Darlings even, I'm not that pretentious.Grin

PrettyVacant1 · 17/02/2011 13:21

robin very comforting that we're having similar symptoms - will be nice to have someone at a similar stage to me... all the rest of 'em are miles ahead... at least 6 weeks pg.... :)

nix so how much do your legs earn then? Now have visions of you being a professional stockings/tights model with obscenely long legs :)

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 12:31

Pulls on leg earners and under bump ra ra skirt in readiness for some 80's tunes :)
