just had a lovely little afternoon nap after flying kites with dh!

Hi love wow, you do have a lot put up with, no wonder you are all over the place. I would def call the epau nurse to see if they'll scan you early, if that's what would put your mind at rest.

I went to my GP at 5 weeks to coco poor dear must have thought to herself 'here we go again* and that's when she referred me for an early scan before officially registering; assume the paperwork to refer was less than that to register Grin

lady they do say some handle the increase in hormones better than others so it would make sense that as your body starts to accept the increase your reaction of throwing up would be diminished.

hariy how you doing today sweets?

Waves to nix pretty* hk lemon lady digi bouncer silver choccie wombat emoo and special visitors I spied yesterday jolls and clare I hope I haven't missed anyone, tried really hard but brain is fuzzy!!!

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 14:19

thanks coconuts.....and a big wave to you too.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 13:29

lovemysleep I have been to the GP. I went Wednesday when I turned 5 weeks. That was the advice of the MW. To go asap as they need to do the referral to the hospital of your choice.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 13:28

waves to lovemysleep :)

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 13:27

also meant to ask - when should I go to the doctors? Am tempted to just bloody leave it for as long as possible....

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 13:22

nickstermum - you're always welcome to post on there if you need to :) Do you have a history of mcs?

I can't stop drinking juice and eating cheese paninis!

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 13:21

hello everyone - just wanted to join in as am also on recurrent buns thread too.

Found out I was pg last weekend, so am currently 4 weeks. Have had 4 mc's previously, and have been seeing Dr Shehata as have very high NK cells.

Have been VERY lucky in getting pg in the 1st month of trying - about time for some good luck, I reckon! Had symptoms very early, from about day 23 of my cycle - nausea, implantation pain and spotting (only for about 3 days though). Am currently feeling dog-rough, wobbly and sick - hurrah! - but really bloody nervous......

Am on prednisolone, progesterone and aspirin daily.

Had an intraplipid infusion on wed, which is supposed to coat my NK cells to stop them from attacking my pg.

My mind is all over the place - it's gone form being convinced I'm having twins as I had symptoms so early (!!!!!!), worrying about a rubbish egg and all sorts of other things. My dd knows too, as I accidentally blabbed it - she's only 5, but knows the history of my mc's, as she's an inquisitive little monkey who doesn't miss a trick.

Due to have a scan when I'm almost 8 weeks with Dr.S - should be seeing him at 6 weeks, but don't think we can fit in an appointment. Am gonna phone the local EPAU, as they did say that I could get an early scan - am just worried that they may refuse me as I am going through private treatment. Just want to see what's happening in there as soon as I can really.

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 13:01

Hi coconuts i am familiar with you as am a stalker lurker on recurrent buns.

pink you burger monster...Grin hmmm fish and chipsGrin

Grin @ anxious on your notes - i had a nosey and saw '??Pregnant?? Patient' and i think thats from the first time i went to see the gp at 5 weeks and said 'im pg but i use that term lightly, not certain if i am, or whether its gonna stick but i have a pos pg test' Grin I suspect he followed that with "is also a bit mad" Grin

Cannot get enough of Ham and crispy salad baps..mmmm might have to change ham for chicken in a bid to be a bit more healthier... but yum!!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 12:30

Hi all, have been away from this thread too long to catch up!!

owlbooty I'm with you on doing too many tests. I used the dip sticks from amazon and I think I got through 17 before I did a proper one from the pharmacy!

digi I took me all those 17 test and to about 18dpo before my line was really dark so don't worry. I had over a week of having to squint to see my faint line :)

hairyfairy just want to say hi and everyone over on the buns thread is wondering how your scan went. I think you defitnely need to stay positive, your levels are rising and there was a sac there. I think the sonographer has to be very vague on the forms until they can 100% guarantee what they are seeing. This conception malarkey is a minefield. On one hand I would love to go for a scan but on the other I know it would be petrifying and I would just be covering my eyes. Really feel for you xx

I too am living in leggings. I look pregnant, my jeans won't do up! Just leggings, long cardigans and flat leather boots for me. Wash and wear!

OrangeGloss · 05/02/2011 12:26

Nix the only time the teeth brushing happened to me was when the electric battery died and I used an old manual one

Thanks Owl for reassurance :)

Pink good work on the burger, and good luck with lunch. I know what you mean, I almost don't want to feel well as while I feel like this it gives me hope

owlbooty · 05/02/2011 12:14

My GP actually has "anxious ++" written on my electronic record so every locum I see immediately knows, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Pink if it works please do tell me Grin

You could try cod's roe - I found that easier to stomach than fish for some freakish reason.

Also - toasted potato cakes with a microwaved tomato on are the best breakfast in the world ever. Fact.

PinkFondantFancy · 05/02/2011 12:02

Same as what wiseowl says I'm afraid dacha!!! how many of the bloody things did you buy??? Surely you've run out now? Grin Plus, you've seen the range of Hcg that's normal at each week-how is it supposed to know where is normal for you in that range?

Tbh I'm a bit Angry the clinic isn't holding your hand more.

((( lady ))) and I hope you're doing ok HK

I just made DH do an emergency service station stop-needed half a burger urgently to keep the retching at bay.... Acupuncture's doing naff all for the nausea but as I explained to the lady today, I think if it worked and the urge to attempt to vom vanished I'd be panicing. So not sure my minds on board with wanting rid!! I don't think she really understood :)

I'm off to meet family for some fish and chips am a bit worried about getting busted but we'll have to see how it goes!!

Ps bought a book today "how to stop worrying and start living"!!! Will let you know how it goes!!!!

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 09:59

Fwiw my sickness didn't really kick in til 10 weeks! Everyone is different! Still when brushing teeth at 14 weeks tomorrow:)

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 09:30

Dachs stop torturing yourself

Bee, nausea not so bad if you are sick, mine changed to heartburn too orange! Still retch when teeth brushing on empty stomach, try not eating to see if it cones back? I honestly think it's related to blood sugar!

OrangeGloss · 05/02/2011 09:11

Dachs I agree, step away from em! They're only good for confirming pg at beginning, anything else will worry you unnecessarily

HKBaby good luck with your scan, I hope you manage to relax a little in the meantime

I spoke too soon, nicely pukey earlier Grin

lemonsherbet · 05/02/2011 08:37

Dachs I am six weeks and no symptoms yet. Like I said previously had really bad symptoms with mmc. Now step away from the Clearblue. There seems to be loads of people who it makes up a random date for. Someone is even having a scan because of it. I know it is frustrating but from what people are saying they are not that accurate.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 05/02/2011 08:25

hkb Good luck with the scan! :) I have a 6 week scan next Saturday - not sure what I'm going to see, but hopefully there'll be something there! Remember early scans might not show you much, but that's normal...

OP posts:
HongKongBaby · 05/02/2011 07:55

Hey Dachs, those Clearblue things are the work of the devil I think. I have managed to stop myself buying another one (did one which said 2-3 weeks about week and a half ago) because I know how upset I would be if had not gone up. Not to mention they are so expensive! I am sure everything's fine and if you give it another few days and do another one it will go up, its not that precise a tool to be using really. When is your next check up with docs?

For what its worth, I also don't have much in way of symptoms and we are probably at similar stage?

I am having minor stress now as scan date draws closer (Monday). Hoping for some reassurance but seems early scans are not always that reassuring.....

DachshundsWantPuppies · 05/02/2011 07:28

Ok, am fully expecting to be had docked, but I'm freaking out again ( quelle surprise! )

Last Friday clear blue went up from 1-2 to 2-3 so it should have gone up to 3+ by now and it hasn't. Aaaaaagggggghhhh...

(and still no symptoms)

OP posts:
OrangeGloss · 05/02/2011 07:00

Ladybee I've found that if I'm sick in the morning I just don't feel as queasy through the day, though i still have wind. Maybe you could be the same? There doesn't seem to be any logic behind all that but at least you're getting something

((( Hairy ))) so sorry you weren't more reassured. I can only echo everyone else in saying that you could have conceived later, and if so the sac would be the right size. Plus, as I was told by these lovely ladies, it is the difference between % of mm so very difficult to measure accurately and some private places don't even scan before 7 weeks. When I went for my scan I should have been 7 weeks and measured 5 with just a sac which they refused to call sac and called it a cyst. 2 weeks later I measured 8 and saw everything. The sonographers are so pessimistic, at my 1st scan mine told me the pg had ended. Don't listen, listen to the person who's job it is to weigh up all the facts not just a scan out of context. It's so hard I really feel for you after such a shit year. We're here for you though x

No puking for me yesterday or today so far, so glad I asked in advance about it tailing off. Boobs still big, still have wind, nausea possibly turning to heartburn but still around. That's ok for 11+3 right?

Ladybee · 04/02/2011 22:52

Hairy so sorry you didn't get the reassurance you wanted. So if you think you conceived on or around the 8th Jan, you would only be 5 wks? I wish there was another way to know right now, but it's just a matter of waiting hon, I'm sorry. Sleep lots if you can.

I am on the verge of a major freak out. So may need slapping. Two days now and the quease hasn't really been an issue. Now, I AM snacking a lot, and I did actually throw up for the first time this morning and yesterday did the retching thing walking to train station, but why has the quease gone? Am I just handling it better?
I am terrified of course that this is the start of everything dropping away and losing the pregnancy. Sad

oooh wombat just read yours disappeared too. Are we about the same stage?

Hoorah for the weekend. I don't want to do anything. Feeling all a bit overwhelmed. Sigh.

nickstermum · 04/02/2011 21:12

Knee high boots wedge heel for comfort. Leggings and a long ish loose fitting top normally. Same here Owl cant bear anything tight or round my waist and having to undo brazier for comfort!!

Digde the FR lines are pretty thin and faint anyway....

owlbooty · 04/02/2011 20:05

Ello Digi :) My craptastic faint line didn't turn into a proper one until I bought a superdrug test and stopped ill-advisedly using the ebay cheapies. Even after that I reckon it took 1 1/2 weeks i.e. 20 days post-ov for a decent convincing line to convince me. Yes, I used many, many tests.

Pink there was no cocking handdrier. It was awful. I can't perform under stress, clearly, at least, not with about 6 layers of coat/jumper/etc involved.

I am wearing boots with the leggings which seems to work okay. Leggings are definitely the way forwards, I'm all about the comfort, oh yes. I'm not actually any wider, I just don't like things around my middle as they give me indigestion.

PinkFondantFancy · 04/02/2011 19:51

What shoes are you girls wearing with leggings? If I can work that out I'll be there right with you on the leggings front.

nix my diet is appalling. Luckily I am drinking tons of fruit juice so there must be some vits going in somehow. I thought of you today as I hovered over the iced buns at the shop... :)
