Digi Good news HPT darker this morning. For what its worth I 'felt' pregnant with miscarriage but with DD did not even notice til 5 or 6 weeks, so that feeling may not always be a guide to success. I hope so as I do not feel pregnant this time.

Wombat sorry you are going through this all this anxiety again and with work pressure as well, you must be exhausted from it all. Fingers x'd for tomorrow's scan.

Banana welcome. Sorry for your losses. There are some other threads here that you might like too, 'recurrent buns' and 'ttc after miscarriage' I can't link but if you browse the board you should find them. I have taken progesterone for all 3 pregnancies, side effect = tiredness for me, not sure what others find. The effectiveness would really depend on the reasons behind the miscarriage I guess, if its a hormonal thing then presumably it will help?

Scan for me tomorrow, I really hope they can just see SOMETHING, I will settle for not a lot!!

Hi ladies, can I join?

I am not upduffed yet, but working on it :) Currently waiting for AF to make her arrival.

Quick background,I have had a MMC-8 weeks but died at 6, DD (now 2), MMC-6 weeks, incomplete mc 7 weeks. I have had basic blood tests and have just emailed Dr. Shehata in the hopes he agrees to my proposal which is to just test me for NK cells since I have already had clotting, etc done (recently). My consultant has agreed to give me baby aspirin and progesterone from BFP...does anyone have any experience of progesterone? Side effects? Effectiveness?

Wombat33 · 06/02/2011 10:10

thank for the hugs. I phoned our out of hours service and the local epu and neither could arrange anything til monday anyway. Part of me is trying to pretend it.s not happening and everything will be okay. I'm holding on to two things: it started on the day my period would have been due, and apparently that's not unusual, and it hasn't got worse, maybe even a bit better since friday and is now only brown - "brown blood is old blood" is my hourly mantra! I'm totally terrifed about tomorrow's scan and to make matters worse I'm under huge pressure at work and short of needing to attend my own funeral, really can't get out of it all until friday. Argh.

digitalgirl · 06/02/2011 10:09

wombat hope bleeding has slowed and scan tomorrow is reassuring. Thinking of you.

So I still have that empty feeling overnight. It doesn't even feel like I'm due af. In all my previous PGs I've had a definite feeling of heaviness in my womb, feeling it growing and thickening from the moment of implantation. But not getting that at all, the only thing I can think might be affecting it is the aspirin. Wondered if having thinner blood meant I can't feel as much pressure down there?

Anyway, my hpt was looking noticeably darker this morning - so hcg is definitely rising even if nothing else is happening. And temp is still high at 15dpo which is my traditional temp drop day. So these things reassure me for now.

PinkFondantFancy · 06/02/2011 10:08

Dr google was helpful for once this morning-it's called leukorrhea (spelling!?!?!) and as long as it's White or clear and doesn't smell it's normal apparently.

lovemysleep · 06/02/2011 09:41

pink hehehehe..... and ouch! yes, think we'll all do anything to get a baby! Sure the snail trail is completely normal though...still must get discharge (god, I hate that word) from your fanjo, even though being pg, as surely it still needs to keep itself healthy, and I thought that part of the secretions are cleansing your bits?

OrangeGloss · 06/02/2011 00:07

Wombat I hope time passes as quickly as it can, I was told that lots of women bleed and are fine but it didn't help much, we'll try and keep you company and listen in the meantime tho. My out of hours GP referred me for a scan on Sunday as I had bled, don't know if there's a service like that where you are? It was at the EPAU which was officially closed but they were seeing a few

Hairy the bloods sound great, and good evidence things are moving in the right direction and it was just too early

PinkFondantFancy · 05/02/2011 23:29

love I too am on progesterone but tried it once in my fanjo and it burned like hell and gave me cystitis... So sadly I have to shove it up my arse each night-gruesome but if I end up with a baby, worth it!! Pretty sure the snail trail is coming from the fanjo tho.

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 22:56

pink would love to help on that one, but am currently leaving a trail of progesterone, as have to stick one up my fanjo every night (either that, or my bumhole, so no contest really!).

Can't remember from DD - she's 5, and have rubbish memory...hope someone can help though.

PinkFondantFancy · 05/02/2011 22:50

Hello love nice to meet you-hope the 'roids continue to do a good job.

((( womby ))) so sorry you're having such a stressful time-roll on Monday and hopefully some reassuring news.

Big waves to izz!!!

Experienced ladies I need some advice-I have basically turned into a snail today-loads of White or clear stickiness when I wipe like my fanjo has sneezed snot everywhere (although nothing much in my pants)-should I be worried??

lovemysleep · 05/02/2011 22:18

wombat33 hope you can get a scan asap, and that it's good news - fingers and toes crossed for you.

hairy sounds reassuring, so hope that turns out ok for you too.

Am eating soooooo much for dinner these days - hard to work out if it's the steroids or the pg. Just seem to eat until I almost burst! Maybe just need to get moving a bit more to work it off a bit.....

Can now add olives to the list of things I now can't stomach - aswell as my usual fave, brown sauce. Was as if someone had added a cupful of cinnamon to the sauce and it was WRONG......

But am positively skipping at having symptoms, but am not loving the knicker-checking.

Brilliant to have you lot to rant to, and maybe be able to give some advice that helps - maybe that's a good thing to come out of all the shite you go through with recurrent mc - that you can pass some info on that helps others to get their babies eventually. That actually feels quite nice and fuzzy......

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 22:01

Izzy we have already reserved you a beanbag honey bunch :) cannot wait for you to hop over xxx

hairylights · 05/02/2011 21:56

tony they should be able to see egg sac and yolk sac by six weeks sometimes even a heart beat. They were checking it was in the womb as I've had an ectopic before .

Mamapower · 05/02/2011 21:54
IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 05/02/2011 21:16

Just de-lurking to give some big (((hugs))) to hairy and wombat and to say I'm hoping you both get some good news next week and I'm thinking of all of you on this thread and willing you on to a boring uneventful pg x

Oh and also to pinch some of emoo's Wine - thanks!!

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 21:00

Hey Tony! Good to see you here, hope the bouncing beans are making you sickly and shattered in the nice way of course!

Owl :) at the gammon!!! :) my belly is so huge tonight I am resting my arms on it:) :) :) chunky monkey :)

tonythetyger · 05/02/2011 20:53

Hairy - glad you've received some reassurance. I hope it goes better at the next one. I don't know why they tried to scan you abdominally at such an early stage. I thought it was taken as read that the only way you can see anything is internally until about 9 weeks?

owlbooty · 05/02/2011 20:07

Aw, Womble you poor thing - good you've got a scan booked in for Monday, bad that it's only Saturday today. Am giving you a very big virtual squeeze & hoping everything is okay. x

sleepy welcome - and blinking nora, missus, you've really been through the mill, v.glad you're in good hands and also feeling barfy. Fingers crossed this one sticks like a sticky thing and if you feel a pressing need to wail about anything, this is the place to do it :)

Nix and Mamap I am quite into tomatoes but my most recent food crush (it's not really strong enough to be a craving) is gammon. Every time I go out I order it. Massive slab of salty ham . This afternoon I decided I had to have some more so went out and bought a lump of uncooked gammon which I have just boiled - and now I don't bloody want it any more.

Bugger.

Hairy excellent news on the scan - a week can make such an enormous difference at this stage.

hairylights · 05/02/2011 19:13

wombat agree with Nicks and Mamap.

Mamapower · 05/02/2011 18:11

wombat ditto what nix said, a&e is always an option, if you don't want to wait, Big hugs hon x

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 18:05

Yikes wombat, can you get yourself down to a&e before monday? To give you a bit of reassurance so you arent mentalling for another 2 days? FX its like Oranges bleed xxx

hairs good stuff xxxxx step away from cbdigi!!!!

Wombat33 · 05/02/2011 16:52

yes bee we're at the same stage. I'm 9wks today by lmp but actually 8+5 I think. Symptoms have disappeared and I'm having a total freak out because I've been bleeding since last night Sad Can't get a scan or anything til monday and as it happens I'm due to have a private one monday anyway. Just going to be freaking til then!

hairyfairylights · 05/02/2011 16:33

Big wave to you all. Have just caught up with everyone, and wanted to update you.

Had a call at about 1pm (grrr) from the hospital after a bit of a sleepless night and meltdown morning (during which I'd vowed to stop trying and never put myself through this ever again for fear of being locked up mad - and then vowing to do ivf with donor eggs - and then visiting Dr Google, my not so helpful friend).

Anyhow. The doctor has booked me in for another scan next Friday and she says they are hoping it was too early to see anything properly yesterday.

When I asked about another HCG test, they said they didn't feel they need to as it has quadrupled since 26th Jan.

I asked ' is that normal' and she said it's very difficult to say, because there is no such thing as normal, but that quadrupling since 26th Jan means it's definately going in the right direction.

And that if I get any pain or bleeding to go straight to EPU/emergency gynae.

Thank you all for holding my hand, it's made such a difference.

It's just a matter of waiting and seeing now.

(Dachs: Im tempted to get a CB digi but my sister says they are the work of the Devil! - and she looked up her hcg - at about my stage hers was 6,300 so actually not too far off what mine is).

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/02/2011 15:54

It's funny you should mention textures of foods. We had jacket potatoes with our dinner last night and the texture made me feel very green and I just couldn't eat it.

When I was pregnant with DD all I could eat was cheese, things with cheese or things cheese flavoured! Clearly needed the calcium!

nickstermum · 05/02/2011 15:22

coconuts i had one mc aug last year, and i lurked on recurrent buns for ages, picking up little tit bits of information! Now i have just followed the births which is inspiring to see :) Juice and thirst is good :)

love Congrats on the bfp, sorry its been such a journey for you. We have another lovely lady on here with high NKs although am sure she will be along soon! (hope you dont mind me saying that Pretty!)

mama utter shite is good!!!!! believe me i cannot believe the crap i shovelled into my mush to stem the nausea, and really i was soooo choosy about textures. We went out on christmas eve for food and all i could eat was tomatoes and onion. Still have a real thing for tomatoes! I dont remember my last 2 pgs being like this at all.
