OOOhhhhh sorry pink I missed your scan - phew - well done!

I'm happy to go with digi's template... but with the addition of how many weeks I will be at my next scan.

What are we doing - most recent conceptions at the top? I've no strong feelings either way...

owlbooty · 08/02/2011 14:12

I'm not really a list sort of person but then I am mainly here to try and keep you lot calm Grin

PinkFondantFancy · 08/02/2011 14:08

I'm keen for a list. How about it has baby number, how far along, next milestone scan or appointment date, estimated due date ( or estimated conception date if people feel weird about DD at this stage )?

Wombat33 · 08/02/2011 13:24

Whoop Pink Good news on the scan!!

Emoo I'd be up for a list. Monkeys/stick insects was/is a recurring pg dream Grin Must be all the salt and vinegar crisps..?? Grin Wink

Good luck to anyone else with scans today!

nickstermum · 08/02/2011 13:15

It opened its big fat mush and swallowed it whole without chewing !!

Agree mama.. i cannot read nor think about MC at the minute... its too close for comfort.

Mamapower · 08/02/2011 13:08

emmo Prob not a bad idea as there are a few of us now but how about we don't list our Mc's... we all know we've had them and we all know that it causes us extra distress but I don't think Im up for reading it, trying to look to the future not the past kind of thing???

nix did your computer really eat it?? Really?? ya huh, I believe you, thousands wouldn't Grin

nickstermum · 08/02/2011 13:03

Just typed a massive massive post and the sodding computer ate it!

Gah will catch up properly later x

Emoo · 08/02/2011 12:33

Silver - sorry X-posts - I've had something similar before but it was after I fell off my bike and clonked my head. But I think it can just happen. This is the information I was directed to. I think the key thing was that it was transient spinning lasting only 10-20 seconds after certain head movements. Does that sound like you? I think the faintness of pregnancy/blood pressure is normally light-headedness and feeling like you're about to pass out, but I don't think you normally get the spinning sensation from low blood pressure.

Emoo · 08/02/2011 12:24

What do others think of having a list on here? I'm struggling to keep up with how far on everyone is... and when critical scan dates are going to be...? Would need to be something that wouldn't need daily updating, ideally.

Example
Emoo - TTC#2, 1MC@9w. T2 on 1 April. Next scan 17 Feb at 6+6

TTC = trying to cook! ?TTK trying to keep? brew? gestate?
T2 = trimester 2, putting date that I would be 13 weeks, as that's my mental target. Or if people feel superstitious about that, we could put estimated conception/ovulation/2 week date in. Anything so we can pop people in some sort of order.

silverangel · 08/02/2011 12:19

Emoo - good luck for the 18th, theres' a whole host of scans coming up then. Keeping fx for everybody.

I have a question for you ladies - I have been feeling light headed on and off but today, seriously light headed - move my head to fast and the room starts spinning. Anything to worry about / should I see my GP or just low blood pressure and perfectly normal?

Emoo · 08/02/2011 12:10

Morning!

Well, I've been to the GP (who was lovely) and my scan has been booked for the 17th, when I would be 6+6. Except that I was so pleased to get a scan I just said yes, and am now wondering how on earth I'm going to get chickie to school and whether DH will be able to come, so I may need to phone to jiggle the date a little.

Silver - ooh goodness me, another scan on the 22nd, along with Dachs and Barbie and Knitter! Nothing wrong with cycling, Knitter - the Dutch and Danes do it until they're too top-heavy!

Barbie - poor you, hope you're coping with the strain.((hugs)) At 5+4 you might see a yolk sac, but would be lucky to see an embryo and probably is too early for a heartbeat.

Silly - I hope it's a new BFP, but agree with the others that you need a scan or multiple hcg measurements to get some certainty.

Digi - well done on the line! Is it starting to feel real yet?

Owl - Grin at your diary! Very reassuring! Or at least, I hope it will be when I actually get any symptoms that can fluctuate!

Pink - I am already part time, so don't need to cut back on hours. But if it makes you feel any better, I am also permanently knackered (partly to do with fighting off last week's yucky cold).

Wombie - Congrats Grin on your lovely scan news. Phew! And what's this about stick insects? monkeys? Can I have some of what you've been having please?? Grin

Orange - well done for making it through your journey!

Choccie and Tigger - Shock at your falls, which sound very spectacular. I agree - all should be well cushioned at this stage.

Love - hope you spend lots of DH's money on something lovely! Your hobby horse comment made me Grin

MamaP - thanks for the book recommendations, as I too have a difficult DH (sometimes). Hoorayyy for your feeling Envy (that's nausea not envy, by the way!)

Waves to ladybee, nix, izz, yrmotb, coconuts and anyone else who's around/lurking today!

silverangel · 08/02/2011 11:35

Hello everyone, broadband disaster over the weekend, and v busy at work - hopefully will have a chance to catch up properly later.

Have my scan booked in for the 22nd - will be 8+3 so fingers crossed they'll be able to see something. The dog's food made me throw up this morning so taking that as a good sign!

x

PinkFondantFancy · 08/02/2011 11:17

Also fab news on pukiness mamap!!!

PinkFondantFancy · 08/02/2011 10:48

Hahaha digi Erm I have to confess that I did wake up this morning and apologise to him this morning as I realised i was being ridiculous and I actually could have just gone to bed..... Blush luckily he realises that I'm being a hormonal weirdo and is very easy going Grin thanks for the book recommendation mamap will defo get them.

Fab news on the convincing line digi, it's so reassuring when that happens.

KnitterNotTwitter · 08/02/2011 10:41

Thanks ladies - it's SO lovely to be here

Just organised DH so that we're going to have the early scan on the 22nd - bean should be 6 weeks old then so nice and visible (DH didn't see the one we miscarried as when we had a scan that time it was only 5 weeks so just a sac really)

nix what are you knitting... as you may guess from my name I'm a big knitting fan :) Currently knitting a zip up waistcoat thing for DS (home knitting) and some socks (work knitting)!!

PinkFondantFancy · 08/02/2011 10:38

Thanks owly I smell lovely after bing tapped with the monkfish Grin-scan went fine, so relieved i stood and cried outside the clinic like a weirdo. Told dr my boobs don't hurt, he says it doesn't matter. dacha apparently faintness and dizziness is completely normal and is one of the first signs people used to get to tell they were pregnant before pee sticks.

barbie I had aches and cramps and backache too, dr said it's normal and it's things expanding and bloody hell it's true, my uterus is like a cave now!!! Fingers crossed for good news for you.

knitter I don't think I've said congratulations yet-fabulous news!!! Starting the thread really does work afterall!!

owlbooty · 08/02/2011 10:38

The local clinic near me won't scan until 6 weeks - which makes me suspect they won't see much right now. They might be able to see something though - my guess is that they might ask you to wait it out for a few days and see what happens, hopefully they'll be able to give you some reassurance though.

Day off sounds like a good plan - hope they ring you back soon.

Mamapower · 08/02/2011 10:37

Right there with you orange. I have the first appointment of the afternoon clinic but last time loads of emergency's were squeezed in before me so was waiting around for ages, the wait is so frustrating Sad

Pink and anyone else with a difficult dh... I recommend you buy the following 2 books and give them to your DH's as a gift. I did, telling my DH I wanted him to be as involved as much as possible, he read them fron to back, laughed a lot and now totally gets that I need extra help, and that I am a hormonal mess some days etc etc... Written by a bloke for a bloke:
Bloke's 100 Top Tips For Surviving Pregnancy & The Bloke's Guide To Pregnancy both by Jon Smith

My nausea reached a new high this morning but I am still fending off throwing my guts up, I am being very 'mind over matter' about it to try and stave off a relationship with the loo, don't think it'll last too long though if this carries on!

Waves to all

digitalgirl · 08/02/2011 10:37

pink you nutter Grin have you read your post from last night? Sorry, I know it was probably the most awful thing at the time but I did chuckle a bit that you threw a tantrum because you didn't know when your DH was going to bed. I used to throw tantrums like that, but that was during TTC when it was important that we were in bed at the same time Wink, don't give a flying what time he comes to bed nowadays.

knitter congratulations! and yes, I'd keep cycling if it's something you're fit enough to do.

Line was MUCH MUCH darker this morning and came up instantly, so feeling good so far (4+3).

Was hoping to compose big long post with lots of namechecks, but have just been given some urgent work to do. Smile

BarbiesBeaver · 08/02/2011 10:22

Thanks Owl pink and Dachs my boobs have stopped hurting too and I had some spotting when I wiped this morning, and continuous achey period gripes since yesterday afternoon. Which has cued a day off, frantic call to my fertility clinic and muchos tears. Am resting now and waiting for a call back to see if I can have an early scan - at 5 weeks 4 days it's probably too early?

Congrats Knitter! Here's hoping the next 9 months are very boring and non eventful.
