owl I can't stop either... I have eaten so much carb today it's ridiculous and normally I won't go anywhere near bread and potatoes and rice... arrrrggggh I'll look 9 months in 9 weeks at this rate!!

owlbooty · 17/02/2011 21:37

Welcome Irene to our happy flatulent thread Grin sounds like you will fit right in. There's a few in here who have been trying for a Very Long Time and we're all very good at mentalling far more than is healthy.

Chocsaway so glad things went well for you and your chap :)

Nix - the cheeky fecker! That is outrageous. Tell them you've got a hormone imbalance. This is, after all, actually sort of true right now.

I have to say, the tone's really gone downhill in here today. I blame Brian.

Today I have eaten three doughnuts. This is not quite as bad as the 6 iced buns I ate last Friday but it's certainly not good. Why can't I stop eating cake? Why??????

PinkFondantFancy · 17/02/2011 21:22

nix I like mamap's suggestion. Or, have you got a mate in HR? if so, reply copying in HR mate saying "I've put a bit of weight on and I'm paranoid about it and you've really upset me-I'm going to put in a harassment claim, have copied this email to HR...."

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 21:13

Pink - my symptoms are currently dry heaving, sore tits and extreme flatulence. Can't believe it, with DS I didn't get anything until at least 8 weeks.

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 21:08

Aah Tony, the not ovulating thing, I know it well. I'd had ov strips and a microscope. Could never get a reading from the microscope. Moved house, boxed the microscope for months and then lost the instructions. When I finally had another go at it I finally figured how to use the microscope properly. The instructions had been weirdly wrong. I ovulated later than I thought I was ovulating and got pg immediately. FFS, I've wasted 2 years thought I.

PinkFondantFancy · 17/02/2011 21:08

Hahaha nipple pork scratching, that made me laugh out loud!!! GROSSSSS!!! I'm not sure what a pork scratching craving says about you, maybe you're in need of more subcutaneous fat or something??? At least the nipple portion won't be hairy-it's not all bad.

Fab news about all the good scans around today!

TTT we are the same amount along and if it is of any comfort, for the last 24 hours I've only been feeling mildly queasy(had been feeling rank for a few weeks now although not actually puking) and I've got my appetite back and my boobs only hurt when I poke them. I'm really working very hard on zen maintenance-feeling a bit wobbly too.

Welcome Irene I hope you're not of a sensitive disposition-lots of chat about dildo cams, overgrown lady gardens and farting in here Grin

Big shout out to mrspv and her mate Brian glad to hear it's all going swimmingly so far, good news about coming off the roids too.

choc hope your trailed scan news to follow tomorrow is ok and nothing to stress you out with.

tonythetyger · 17/02/2011 20:45

Hi Dachs - I'm 8+2 now. Only symptoms are sensitive boobs and extreme tiredness. Very occasional queasiness but nothing major and a slightly stronger sense of smell. I have 2 appointments next week, booking in and consultant so hopefully when they hear the news I'll get another scan and confirm they're still there (slight wibble).

Irene - I had completely given up and was convinced I had stopped ovulating too so did a cb digital, got a smiley face and ended up with twins (hopefully).

and another happy bean... yipeeeeeee choccie

Hi Irene welcome if you know Brian you'll fit right in Grin

Nix how about ''ha ha ha ha... get back to work you gossip freak of nature... don't you and the idiot with 2 ii's know it's rude to ask?!''

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 20:38

Thanks Tony. It is a bit weird waiting that long. I'd almost given up.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 17/02/2011 20:35

How far along are you now? Mine are not identical. DH wants one of each. I'd like a boy and a girl or two boys. But as long as they are healthy I don't really care! I have your levels of exhaustion to come, I guess!

Next scan on Tuesday. Hope they're both still there!

Hi Pink - lurking in an exhausted fashion.

Dachs - congratulations! Hopefully we'll both get to the end with 2 beans. Did they think yours were ID or non-ID?

Welcome Irene - I've been ttc for over 2 years (22 months of which was waiting for this pg). It's a funny feeling when it comes. I hope it's a smoother ride for you.

Waves to everyone else and falls asleep again.

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 19:55

Brian? I have met a Brian, but he's an idiot from Glasgow so not sure we're talking of the same one. Grin

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 19:49

Welcome Irene *& congrats, welcometo mentalling hell..

Have you met Brian?

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 19:48

wombole its fine am sure - prob from a few days ago... cling to your scan pic and put up your feet xxx

IreneHeron · 17/02/2011 19:48

Can I join you? I've been ttc for 2 years, had a mc a year ago but at last got another bfp on valentine's day. I have none of the pleasure and serenity of my first pregnancy when I had DS because I'm crapping myself that I'm going to miscarry again.

Hope you don't mind me barging in on your well established thread.

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 19:48

PS mamap i have been cursed with short legs my entire life... well obviously! Family trait..sadly Thankfully they arent really that stumpy although seem fatter now...

Ah yes re- outing...

Received an email tonight from someone at work who i never really speak to, hardly know... QUOTE " Liisa (yes she does spell her name with 2 i's Hmm) has noticed you might be pregnant. Can you confirm? If so congrats, if not i will tell her off. Grant" (A MAN) Angry

how do i respond, or shouldnt i bother? Maybe should reply and say... fat and windy! or not at all?

Im sure everyone has noticed by now, I can hardly hide it... just wanted to be pregnant quietly this time....

Wombat33 · 17/02/2011 19:45

nickstermum · 17/02/2011 19:42

Ha ha this thread is so successful we have even started to impregnate men.

Welcome Brian Grin are your breasts sore and full and do you dribble when you sneeze?

Iam going to try and get in tomorrow just for a listen (i have replaced my POAS addiction with something too...) but have my 16 week appt on monday. and bloods yikes! fab if you are feeling movement this early with anterior placenta Grin I thought i had but i dont actually think it was anything but pumps!

Welcome & congrats robin xx

pretty is brian staying long? Grin

mrsrobinredbreast · 17/02/2011 19:38

Great new Wombat, wow! Must have been a fabulous feeling.

Owl, there's nothing quite like hearing the heartbeat, is there. I got so addicted with my DD that I bought a doppler, which I suspect will be wheeled out a lot this pg - if I can make it that far.

Pink, can't decide it I prefer the term fanjocam or dildocam. Both crack me up. (Am such a child)

Off now to order an oh so healthy chinese take-away. Tomorrow I will eat more healthily, I promise.

chocciechip · 17/02/2011 19:33

Very quick update ladies ... Baby is fine - now 9+2. Smile I saw the heartbeat for the first time although DH has spotted it before in both previous scans (all I could see before was the sonographer's cursor on the screen Hmm). And it waved at us, which made my heart catch. DH's test result is a-ok too. There was more about my scan - implications for down the line in PG - which I'll tell you tomorrow, but am so shattered after an entire day at two hospitals that I need to just veg on the couch. Exhausted. Glad things went well for you too wombat, and hoping everything went ok for lemon.

Wombat33 · 17/02/2011 18:54

Any news from the other scans lemon? choccie?

lovemysleep · 17/02/2011 18:30

Wombat that's left me feeling all warm and fuzzy - so chuffed for you! 4 cms - ooooh, how exciting!

Owl God, can't believe the midwife said that - she'd probably think I was a granny at 39! Oh God, I'll probably be labelled something horrible like geriatric - am sure they have a tern for preggers oldies that is most unflattering..

And windy ladies, its bad....think my DD is getting tad fed-up of the fetid stench that seems to surround me these days. Hope this passes soon - going to Pilates is like playing farting-russian-roullette....

Knitter not long now....fingers crossed for you.

Right, time to crack on with bedtime - xx

PinkFondantFancy · 17/02/2011 18:12
