On iPod so am catching up as best I can!

silly sorry it was not better news for you. I agree that it is a wise move to get your neg urine test out of the way before starting again.

dachs wow congrats on the heartbeat and nice and early to see it too. Fingers crossed for pup 2! You never know, and the report certainly didn't sound like it was ruling it out. I agree to go for the next scan - if I were in your shoes I would be completely all over the place until I had some idea what the story was with pup2.

I'm absolutely rooting for mamap, hairy and orange tomorrow. Good luck ladies, will be thinking of you.

PS I'm going to be referred to the local miscarriage clinic, either StGeorge's Tooting or Chelsea & Westminster and have to decide which tomorrow morning. Any tips on which one is better (not that I'm assuming you all live in the same place I do!) or what to ask / demand?
Thanks in advance

SillyCalamari · 10/02/2011 19:00

Thanks for all your wishes.
I asked her today if there was chance there could be something left over after the last MC / ERPC and she said no according to the internal exam. The lining of the uterus was quite thin and she could see a very small amount of blood left to pass (amazing what they can see on that thing) but that was it. They also took my blood to test the hcg levels and I'll call back tomorrow to check how low they are. Regardless, I will try a preg test in a week or two to see if I'm back to a 'Not Pregnant' before trying again and if not then I'll go back.
I guess you all may have learned this already but I am not trying again without getting a negative as I couldn't bear the headache of not knowing whether the next BFP is from the MC or a new pregnancy again.
It was really nice to find your group for a bit of moral support, thank you. Sorry I'm not very good at the acronyms yet Blush

Grin (not bad for a fattie)

Rooting for triple whammies tomorrow girlies.... tis the lucky thread so i am expecting good news xxxxxx

wakar bfp after ~MC is not pleasant.... filled with terror and apprehension. We are here to hold your hand xxx

mamap DH is taking me to see The Kings Speech tomorrow Grin been itching to see it for ages. Other than that feet up all day other than MW and collecting a very shattered DS from preschool.

Early night tonight for me... thinking of you all tomorrow babes'ies xxxxx

owlbooty · 10/02/2011 18:30

MamaP I thought for early scans internal was pretty much standard, even with NHS? Having said that, I've heard rumours that if you're on the skinny side, sometimes they can get a better shot with an external one but that might only apply later down the line.

I agree there's no harm in asking and I would have thought they'd have gone for internal if the external wasn't clear enough anyway, surely? Wailing and snottering might also help :)

Dachs I wonder if you can rearrange your non-refundable scan for a later date? Might get more out of it, perhaps if it was a few days later on?

Mamapower · 10/02/2011 18:14

Dachs Thanks, I shall def ask. I think if dh wants to see the heartbeat... go for it. I don't think doing anything that's of comfort is silly.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 18:08

bah! indeed... still, it's worth asking, because the bit just plugs into the same machine so it shouldn't be too much of a pain in the arse for them. crappy NHS. FX you see something anyway

I'm kind of thrilled to have seen pup with a heartbeat but I still don't want to let myself get excited about it in case it still goes wrong...

I've just had a look at the report that they gave me along with the pictures and DVD and it says - 'second sac seen, yolk sac. No heartbeat. Too early???', so I'm guessing that they haven't completely given up on pup 2 yet, although I'm not convinced.

Question - we have a scan booked for Saturday which we've already paid a non-refundable deposit for (at a different place from where I had the emergency scan today). Do you think we should go since DH hasn't seen the heartbeat yet, or do you think it'd be silly given that I've had one today?

I'll Dachs ask but I don't think they'll go for it... NHS! Bah!

Wombat33 · 10/02/2011 17:51

Good luck for the scans Hairy, Orange, and MamaP. We'll all be there in the scan room with you in spirit, virtually squeezing your hand xxx

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 17:50

This is a very difficult experience and it's horrible that you can't just experience happiness when you get a BFP

Just wanted to say hello to Jollster I do remember you from the MC in August. What a rollercoaster Sad

I'm trying to take it easy but 10 hour working days seem to be the norm just now. I'm knackered! Got a hen night on Sat and thinking up an excuse for not drinking Smile

Very best for those with a scan tomorrow. Hopefull you will get the answers you want Smile

Mamapower · 10/02/2011 17:42

Dachs what a relief! So pleased you saw a little heartbeat, how wonderful.

Thanks Owl am a little bit scared, especially as it's an external scan and by all accounts they show naff all at this stage, what's the point?! I am dreading another episode of only seeing a sac... that's not really a comfort!

Hairy orange right there with you both, good luck and fx crossed for 3 happy healthy beanlets Smile

pink it was magic mix... v nice but they lack the rings that are in star mix and they're my fave as it goes Grin Grin

nix so glad you are being looked after. i hope you are taking advantage of this time off work with some r&r Smile

waves to all around Smile

hairylights · 10/02/2011 17:08

Yep all three of us. Am really dreading it.

owlbooty · 10/02/2011 16:57

There's a fair few people having scans tomorrow aren't there?

Hairy , Orange ? , and MamaP I think?

Here's to a hat-trick of beans behaving themselves perfectly. Grin

Wombat33 · 10/02/2011 16:48

Hurrah Fairy!! It's not the oracle but it's a lovely reassuring sign!

hairylights · 10/02/2011 16:46

dachs phew!!

Confession time. I did a cb digital in asdas loo at lunchtime and it said 3 plus. It tells me at least that I have more hormones now than I did two weeks ago.

nickstermum · 10/02/2011 16:29

Dachs that's just brilliant news my love xxxx
I hope you get a twinnie but one, just one means a healthy bean and baby xxxx

All that pineapple juice see :) :) xx

Mw listened in again and picked up hb straight away this aft:)
I now know where I can get that done every week for reassurance, and owl she has written anxious on my notes too !!! No bloody wonder x

lovemysleep · 10/02/2011 15:47

Dachs brilliant news- phew! Been thinking of you today..

silly sorry for you, sweetie xx

PinkFondantFancy · 10/02/2011 15:46

dacha fabulous news nice lady. Dies this mean you can draw a line under all the pee sticking. I am amazed at the number of people on here being given abdominal scans so early on-seems like an easy way to completely stress a girl out!!!! Dildo cam all the way I say!!

I might go a bit quiet for a while-not sure I can stand the number of close calls and so am going to bury my head in the sand and rock quietly in the corner and hope its all going to be ok.....

I hope all the scans go well tomorrow!!! I'll be thinking of you all xxx

digitalgirl · 10/02/2011 14:37

Great news dachs!

Wombat33 · 10/02/2011 14:28

Dachs from what I can see that size is absolutely spot on!!

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 14:21

pup was 1.3mm - no idea whether that's a good size or not, and I'm stepping away from doc google so I don't scare myself, but if anyone knows whether 1.3mm is OK, can you let me know :)

DachshundsWantPuppies · 10/02/2011 14:20

owl it was AMAZING seeing the little flickery heartbeat.

it was actually all rather stressful - they initially did an external scan, where they saw one sac and no baby, so i was a bit gutted!

But then they did an internal scan and I saw pup number 1 with a little flicker going on, and then they found the other sac where we saw twinnie but not looking good.

So relieved! Now dreading the next scan in case the heartbeat disappears!

owlbooty · 10/02/2011 14:08

OMG Dachs ! What a rollercoaster you're on, bloody hell.

V.glad you're okay & isn't it the loveliest thing ever hearing/seeing a heartbeat? I could spend all day listening to it. So lovely you have a DVD for DH to see. x

Wombat33 · 10/02/2011 14:00

Sorry - x-posts.
