ah, hairy see the reason now....will they test the quality of your eggs when you start the testing process too? If IVF gives you the best chance, then that's the way to go.
You may have brilliant eggs though - so fingers crossed for you.x

Mamapower · 11/02/2011 17:53

Thanks all Smile

Off to eat something disgustingly lovely and probably fatty too...my tummy is rumbling Grin

youremindmeofthebabe · 11/02/2011 17:35

Just popped over, I'm so sorry to see this hairy. Wishing you strength and calm, but it sounds like you're doing very well on that front anyway.Smile xx

mamap That's so lovely to hear. Glad you got a photo too.

hairylights · 11/02/2011 17:15

love the positive about ivf is that if egg quality is an issue, they can choose the best embryos. There's a new technique out now which allows them to physically test them before transfer, for any problems.

You see, it could be that like most forty two year olds, 70% of my eggs are not right, and I don't want to keep doing it naturally if my eggs are what's causing my miscarriges.

lovemysleep · 11/02/2011 17:02

Mama lovely news! Bought a tear to my eye - all of you ladies are making me a blabbing mess - they are either happy tears or sad ones. Glad to be here though.....

Hairy if it's any consulation, no-one has ever mentioned IVF to me, even after 4 mc's. From what I can gather, if you get pg relatively easily, there will be no need for it. I am no spring chicken at 39 either, so fingers crossed for you that the tests will highlight some very easily sorted thing, and your next steps will be straightforward.

silly hope you are bearing up sweetie, and hoping that the MC clinic get you sorted out asap too.

banana hope AF gets here soon

Big hugs to everyone x

Fab news mamap Grin xxx

Mamapower · 11/02/2011 16:08

All is well Smile I saw my little bean and it's heartbeat, my friend came with me and we both burst in to tears! The sonographer and EPAU Nurse were both visibly touched and kindly gave me two pic's to give to dh. Although I am technically 7+5 my late ov has made a big difference and I am now at 6+3 and my bean is 7mm! I have been officially discharged from the care of the EPAU with a 'viable pregnancy'... those words are like magic! Now if the next 6 weeks could pass smoothly until the next hurdle that would be great Smile

I just want to say, I couldn't have got through this day without you, thank you xxx

PrettyVacant1 · 11/02/2011 16:06
