Thanks nix don't worry it didn't sound dismissive. Unfortunately I discovered last w/e the epu doesn't open over the weekend and doesn't allow self referral. Bleeding seems to have slowed (fx stopped) so I'm trying not to worry too much...Smile Am also irrationally worried about scanning too much... No justification for that. Totally irrational! But will wait and see for now I think.

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 20:36

Dachs I lived in mamas and papas during my first pg.. Their stuff is awesome and I started shopping at 12 weeks (not a care in the world) this time we have said we are doing nothing at all. Not even the nursery :( just daren't

Mamas and papas has awesome stuff but is pricey and their clothes aren't the best :) the furniture is exceptional. (if you can find the factory shop even better) I didn't, but I would say do your research too :) I have found mothercare to be fab since spending a small fortune in m & p !!!

So exciting.... I have everything crossed that we all get to go on this journey together and make it onto post grads xxxx

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 20:25

Wombat just re read my post from earlier sorry didn't mean for it to sound dismissive, not at all!

It won't reassure you in anyway at all, cos nothing anyone says will. You have come this far into pg with spotting and brown all the way through and bean is fine, so there is no reason to think this is any different xxxxxx (why didn't I tell myself that last we'd???) no matter what peeps say you will fret but try to get another scan babes xxxxx

lovemysleep · 12/02/2011 19:20

Dachs sounds good....made me smile xx

oh wombat, am really, really hoping that you are fine - sending you big hugs and get another scan asap xx

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 17:21

ring your epu Wombat x ((hugs)) brown is ok x

Wombat33 · 12/02/2011 16:46

Great news dachs!

Less happy here. I'm bleeding again Sad only brown but enough to shatter my zen. Had just bought some maternity trous for work and now worry I won't need them (though am uncomfy in normal trous already which is why I bought them this weekend). Just have to keep everything crossed. Am in two minds whether to try and arrange another scan this week. Think I.ll wait and see what happens for the rest of the weekend.

wakarimasen · 12/02/2011 14:20

Great news Dachs Smile Fingers crossed for twins -that would be lovely.

DachshundsWantPuppies · 12/02/2011 14:06

(made the mistake of going into Mamas and Papas on the way back to the car after the scan and am now totally desperate to be further along so I can actually buy some baby stuff - they've got so much adorable stuff in there!)

Brilliant news Dachs the fact that the growth is proportionate is a fabulous sign that both are doing well Smile

DachshundsWantPuppies · 12/02/2011 13:56

OK

I'm back

Pup1 still has heartbeat and is now 4mm. pup2 still no visible heartbeat but has grown proportionately the same amount as pup1. Still no idea as to the viability of pup2. Although apparently it's normal for one twin to be a couple of days behind at this stage so it might be ok. Just have to wait until the scan on the 22nd for confirmation of what's really going on. (I'm not holding my breath though!)

Lurking for news from dachs

digi I hope you are lucky too. Fx xxx

waves to bee and anyone else around. Hope you're all holding on to your zen today. i just had a hormonal melt down at dh for no real reason Blush

Mamapower · 12/02/2011 10:07

Morning all Smile

Dachs hope the scan goes well.

Digi mine come and go, I am convinced that as soon as your body is used to the new rise it stops reacting to it... would make sense and at this early stage your bod would be coping with those rises much better... I'm sure it's all ok (((big hug))

Hairy if you're lurking, woke up thinking of you this morning; hoping you'll be back here soon xx

lady all perfectly natural anxiety's. And can I just say, as proven by the number of poas'ers, round here, don't hold back, if you want another scan, have one, do what ever it takes to put your mind at rest. I am sure the next few weeks will be emotionally heightened because of your dd and reaching the point in the pg where it previously went wrong, be strong, you'll get though it as we all have too ((hugs)) Smile

BTW, if anyone else wants to come play on bookface message me your name/email via mn messaging so I can add you and point the others (quite a few of us on there now) in your direction Smile

digitalgirl · 12/02/2011 09:59

wombat that was me last night to dh. I have an appt with the consultant on Monday morning - I will probably blub and beg for a blood test. I really really hope I have the same luck as you. I'm so fed up of this game.

And thanks nix the cbd was supposed to cheer me up. And in some ways it has (god knows how I'd be if it came up less than 3+), but I'm just so desperate to 'feel' pregnant.

You ladies are amazing.

Wombat33 · 12/02/2011 09:45

digi 5 weeks was the week I phoned my gp in floods of tears at 8am one morning sobbing that all my symptoms had gone and I was having another mc. He arranged the first of my blood tests - if you remember that was the one that came back showing my hcg levels were higher than average for triplets!! Don't lose hope lovely! Xxx

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 08:58

Also meant to say Bee stay strong and focussed X

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 08:57

Bee

dig banana is right. My boobs are deflated today and not a bit of soreness in sight, but yesterday i saw my 8.7cm bean.. so that keeps me going xx

3+ is fab btw... wombat didnt have any symptoms....!! Try not to be depressed hon, can you find something to focus on to take your mind off it?

mmmm Brew here you go... thanks for the headsup Izz xxx

digitalgirl · 11/02/2011 23:43

Thanks banana - trying hard to think happy thoughts. Having a low day, and it doesn't help when it coincides with a no symptoms day.

banana87 · 11/02/2011 23:27

Digi Symptoms come and go, I am sure you will be puking in a week :) Chin up chick, you are pregnant til someone tells you otherwise...keep repeating that to yourself!

digitalgirl · 11/02/2011 23:15

Symptoms have disappeared for the last two days. Just did a cbd 2 mins ago that came up 3+
Am 5 weeks tomorrow, why am I not reassured? Boobs feel completely normal. Womb doesn't feel heavy. Hunger has gone. Just really depressed now. Sad

Ladybee · 11/02/2011 23:01

mamap glad you had a good news and well done for being discharged with a viable pg!

ladies, I am absolutely ravenous Blush I can not eat enough today, it's starting to annoy me - I eat, 30 mins later my stomach starts gnawing away again. It can't stay this way - I'm already big, I can't start packing away the cals now. Shock Any tips?

I was very brave and brought out my pg book and had a flick through it. Wish I'd done it a bit sooner - found it incredibly reassuring to see in print at 8 weeks "some women find their symptoms start to ease at this point" - phew. I know my symptoms are just shifting but it really was worrying me. I know there are still no guarantees but reading this did help.

I'm heading towards my due date from my most recent MC and also the time when I started bleeding from it. All of which is making the mentalling worse than ever (hence book-reading above). I am still battling with myself every day, trying to hold off from getting another scan, my next is scheduled for 10+ weeks and consultant appt at 11, and I'm hoping to hold out to have them both on the same day. One day I just want to know if it's all gone wrong, to get it over and done with. The next I think I just need to chill and see what happens.

Sorry to offload, I know you all have similar worries...

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 11/02/2011 21:57

emoo I changed my home page to make it more recognisable: here's me

Although my chart looks completely mental this cycle so I'm not sure it warrants any stalking Confused Grin

< Brew for all - don't worry, it's decaff! >

CaribouMoo · 11/02/2011 21:47

Also gatecrashing to say how really sad I am to hear about your news Hairy. Its just so bloody unfair. You sound so positive despite what's happpened, I really hope things work out for you whatever comes next. Take care of yourself pal x

Well done to all the ladies with lovely good news and good luck tomorrow Dachs. I second what Bee says about being mindful of measurements and different scanning machines can give different results too x

Emoo · 11/02/2011 21:06

Hairy - I'm so so sorry and sad to hear your news, and thank you for sending your good wishes in spite of how you must be feeling. I hope that Sunday goes as well as can be expected. Hooray for a doctor that doesn't blame things on age - how refreshing - and glad that you will get some testing done now.

Nix, MamaP and Orange - I'm incredibly pleased for you all! Lovely to hear your good news.

Dachs - good luck for tomorrow's scan. I hope DH gets a good look at that heartbeat, and I am sending hopeful vibes for pup2. Isn't it incredible they can see anything at all when it's only 1.3 mm! Hope you manage to hang onto that zen...

nickstermum · 11/02/2011 18:21

Yey for orange bean xxxx
