Digi best of luck today - hope everything is in the right place

lovemysleep · 14/02/2011 08:46

Had a good chat with DH last night and all is fine. Think it's going to take us both a while to get used to this!

It was the due date of my 4th mc yesterday aswell, so I think that was playing on my mind a bit. Oh, this is such a rollercoaster ride.....

Bloody hormones! PMT can make me nuts, this is so much more volatile though. Although it's reassuring to hear that lots of you are having the same experiences.

Got diarrhea this morning too - how lovely Blush

Digital hope your appointment goes well.

digitalgirl · 14/02/2011 08:25

Right, off to my appt then.

Emoo · 13/02/2011 22:45

Wonder if pregnancy stimulates a pheromone that acts indirectly on the male brain ( wherever he may keep it!) and turns the owner into a fuckwit???!!! Sympathies to all of you struggling with DHs at the moment.

love you don't sound like an irrational prima Donna, but you do sound as if you're a lady who needs to find the next moment that you and DH are both calm, and tell him how you are feeling - there's a long way to go yet. How long do you have to be on the steroids for?

nickstermum · 13/02/2011 20:32

But.....stress is bad for beans!!!!!!! Note to self and note to all... Grin Brew xx

nickstermum · 13/02/2011 20:32

God what is it about DH's? Fecker is supposed to keeping me de-stressed, and to his credit has done tons round the house..but talking about trying to rile me to react!!

Is it the DH or is it the pregnancy hormone?! Empathise with you ladies!

KnitterNotTwitter · 13/02/2011 19:58

hippy hi and thanks for the nice words - I do remember you :)

lovemysleep ah... the rage thing. Had to seriously stop myself smashing a glass against a wall tonight (rational part of my brain knew that it would be just more tidying up for me!) We were having dinner and discussing inviting DFIL over for dinner in a few weeks. I asked DH if he wanted to phone or if I should and he said he'd do it but not right now because he was eating. FFS - like I'd asked him to do it that instant.... It's a very annoying childish habit of his - it happens a lot.

hairy good luck for everything in the short, medium and long-term

Glad everyone else seems to be ok....

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow - definitely the junior member of the gang :) Still feel like everything is going ok but really looking forward to the 22nd when we have our scan to check it's in the right place.... so want to see it and know that everything is ok so far....

lovemysleep · 13/02/2011 19:23

hairy hope you are ok, and that you'll get home soon. Been thinking of you.

Big hugs to everyone - Emoo I'm on countdown until my Friday scan too - so eek! here aswell.

Need to rant about DH AGAIN......God, what is it about bloody men sometimes? I am hormonal, on steroids and trying to hold myself together, but no allowance is made for this? So, being slightly irritable just puts his back up (obviously, he's such a delicate, sensitive thing..ggggggrtrrrrr), and then makes him into some obstinate twat that drags his feet and arses about, doing things on his time. I get stressed - then angry, as I think of what that is doing to the bean - an it all blows up. Shouting in front of DD, and everything.

Had forgotten about the rage in pg, and I have less of a handle on it because of the steroids.

Just would like him to maybe show little more care and thought to how this is affecting me. I know he's got to go through it too, and he must be worrying - I don't want him to do much - just be a bit more thoughtful.

Sorry ladies - rant over. Maybe I am expecting too much.Hope I don't sound too irrational and like some prima-donna.........

Emoo · 13/02/2011 18:45

hairy I hope you are being well looked after today and are able to go home soon if not already.

dachs that's fantastic news about your scan. Glad pup1 is doing well, and it sounds as if pup2's still in with a chance. 22nd seems like a long time away though, but at least by then things should be a bit clearer.

wombat hope things have settled down today for you and that you find a scan soon.

Got a lovely roast in the oven including yorkshires, which I am utterly disastrous at, but they still taste yum even when they're pancakes!!!

Sending hugs to everyone else including the lovely loola - nice to see you chickie!

3 busy work days for me , then one day of mentalling then scan on Friday - eeeek!

owlbooty · 13/02/2011 15:44

Ah, Macc - I was at Stepping Hill so a little further north. You're v.lucky about the local clinics - I get the splendid choice of one session on a Thurs afternoon, at my surgery, which is nowhere near where I work, and it starts at 2pm. Helpful? No, not really.

Bee am sure you're right about the stretching. And I also know what you mean about the fullness thing as had it with the mc from very early on, but weirdly not at all until very recently with this one.

lemonsherbet · 13/02/2011 15:21

Just wanted to wave to everyone. Hairy am thinking of you today. Hope you can leave the hospital soon and enjoy a nice glass of wine.

Ladybee · 13/02/2011 14:15

digi I keep meaning to say about the lack of heavy womb feeling. I think I know what it is you are missing, I had it with my first two pgs (mc1 and ds) - that feeling of 'fullness' from quite early on. But I haven't had it with any of the three pgs since - now I thought the first time post ds it was because it was blighted ovum so womb wasn't as full, but last time and this I know are embryonic at least, so now I suspect it might be because uterus has already experienced all the increased blood flow so perhaps there's not as much activity going on there with new capillaries etc????

It's a theory at least.

dachs well if pup2 does continue on you will be living proof that knowing your dates doesn't necessarily mean you will know an accurate gestational age - it's amazing to think they could have implanted a couple of days apart. Hope you don't feel too much like a science experiment. Really hope it continues to progress.

wombat hope that bleed has eased. Can not imagine what it's like for you. I don't suppose it becomes any easier to accept as just one of those things - you're right to get it checked each time. And try not to stress about scans.

orange tbh yes I suspect if I get that far I will probably want to have something between 12 and 16 wks.

owlbooty stretching aches are fine I'm sure. There are ligaments on each side of the uterus that do stretch as it grows.

Waves to all - ds is napping so I'm going to too

nickstermum · 13/02/2011 13:22

Owl I'm going to Macclesfield. I wasnt impressed with tehm at all when i birthed DS (mismanaged labour, crap mw) but the EPU handled my MC so well it was just easier to go back there, as they knew my history. I had wanted to go North Staffs as they have a newly built 40m £ maternity centre but i didnt want to wait for the referral...! So Macc again it is...with a VERY SPECIFIC birth plan, and a request to not have a certain MW!

I think the only reason they have said i can go for a listen in is cos they realised i had a very stressful day in A&E rushing up to Macc (we live 25 min away) when they run local clinics every afternoon :)

1 more week to the next milestone for us both xx

owlbooty · 13/02/2011 12:18

Hairy we can always rely on you for a ladylike turn of phrase Grin Hope you are being treated v.well indeed in hosp. Also hope you escape soon. x

Nix can I please have your midwife? I suspect mine is a bit shite. I wanted to ask you which hospital was your local as I used to work at one in Cheshire when I lived oop North. Would be funny if you ended up on the wards I used to work on. PM me or feel free not to disclose location at all if preferred :)

nickstermum · 13/02/2011 11:56

Ah hairy :( nice to see you lurking, am still so sorry you have to go throughthis again, i do hope you get some snswers from the testing :( ((special squish))

Special Wave to loola pussy cat x

Owls 15 weeks today for me tooooooo :) how did that happen?

16 weeks is my next milestone.
My MW said i can go and see her every week if i am anxious for a listen in... find that very reassuring. She has written anxious on my notes!!

Try not to wobble owl its a massive journey so far, you have successfully got to 15 weeks. No need to think otherwise is there? Stretchy is good. I was reminded the other day that at the beginning of trimester 2 your uterus does some ligament stretching!!

Wombo i hope the bleed has subsided now? Are you ok? Hope so x

hippychick66 · 13/02/2011 11:55

Hello all. Just popped on to see how everyone was doing. Saw your sad news hairy - bugger bugger bugger - you really deserve a sticky bean, my love. You sound very strong and capable but I know you must b heartbroken. I echo what jolls says about popping on to the over 40's when you're ready. Hope the tests are helpful.

Pleased to see that knitter is pregnant again. Not sure if you remember me but we had a chat a while ago when I had my 2nd MC after only a small sac could be seen and you were very helpful to me. All the best.

There are so many names on here that i recognise - digi too. Wishing you all the best and still hoping that one day i might get back on one of these pregnant after MC threads.

Keep your eyes on the end goal, girls Smile

hairylights · 13/02/2011 10:59

just checking you are all ok, thanks for lovely messages. Just had second pills shoved up me and have to stay in for observation.

Will keep lurking for news on you all. Thanks so much for all of your support x x x

owlbooty · 13/02/2011 10:38

Ooooh, bacon sarnie. Nice one Loola :)

Orange I'm in that same limbo myself (15 weeks today). I haven't organised another scan but I may buy a doppler if the MW won't try and find heartbeat at 16 wk appt on Thursday as I am pretty sure I cannot go another 4 weeks after that without knowing things are progressing. I realised some time around 10 weeks that I couldn't sustain that level of constant hearht-thudding panic as it was just too exhausting - I almost gave up panicking at that point, if you see what I mean, and switched to a lower gear of mild fretting instead :)

The last few days I've been quietly having a bit of a minor wobble and feeling quite down as I've had lots of stretchy aches but you never quite know if they're stretchy aches - good - or things going wrong aches - not good. Argh. They seem to be worst at night so I haven't slept very well in weeks. Am in no way complaining as stretchy aches are most welcome but I do tend to go a bit loopy when I haven't slept. You lot have all this to come!

Dachs ace news on the growth; fingers crossed for both beans!

Knickers Grin Yes, the insane dreams seem to be par for the course. As does the being far too hot.

Digi fingers crossed for Monday's scan - hope it all goes well.

Hairy lovely hope you're okay x

Womble every day that passes you're one day closer to the low risk zone - and you are so nearly there. Do you have a 12 week dating scan lined up? Hope the evil brown stops soon and you get some peace of mind x

loola2shus · 13/02/2011 09:04

Hello all... just coming to wave at my diffed pals! Hope you're all well xx

Sounding good Dach hugs to wombat I'm sure everything is fine! hugs to everyone else!

Right I think its time for a bacon sarnie, toodles xx

OrangeGloss · 13/02/2011 07:49

Morning all, ukulele's going ok, it is now tuned and I can play 3 chords :)

Mamap that's fantastic news about the scan, I did peek in on Friday so read the good news but no time to post. Excellent you have been discharged they said to me that means I'm back to 'normal' chances/odds instead of worse ones
Hairy I would love to see you lurking, I know what you mean I would miss everyone. Do you take your 2nd pill this morning? I do hope it goes as best it can, and am thinking of you both. Your IVF theory makes sense to me, I hope between that and the testing you have a nice sticky bean soon. And thank you for such kind words when you are in such a difficult place x
Pink I bet your DH will come around in a couple of weeks, do you have someone to go with in the meantime?
Wombat I was told orange juice helps for dizziness, not sure how true that is. I've not really had it myself except when I've stood up too quickly
Bee I've been eating like a pig to keep nausea away, and have been trying to eat Snackajacks as they feel like big carb but low calorie. Be kind to yourself with due date etc coming up, only natural to have these feelings. Don't be sorry about offloading it's what we're here for x
Digi it's still so early to get anything. Symptoms come and go and dammit for it not being the same for everyone so we can't compare. I'm sure you'll be puking in no time :)
Knitter glad you're able to still see your counselor. All of that sounds about right to me :)

Thanks for everyone's support, I've been trying to relax, start to get excited then feel bad like I'm tempting fate. All my friends that know have now decided it's all fine, I'm not so relaxed. I looked on the MC Association website and it said a heartbeat at 10+ weeks is 99.4% chance, and no figure for 12 weeks. I'm trying to reassure myself that whilst I'm not technically 12 it's still a good chance. Would you have a private scan between now at 11 and midwife and 16?

nickstermum · 12/02/2011 22:42

Knitter .... All symptoms!!!!!!!!! I still get them :)

ESP hot in bed!

KnitterNotTwitter · 12/02/2011 22:24

fx wombat

digital With the one I MC'd we saw the yolk sac at 5+1 so you will see something....

digitalgirl · 12/02/2011 22:09

Sorry to hear you're worrying too wombat, hope tomorrow is less eventful. Just need to make it to Monday - will your gp refer you?

I have a scan on Monday - but not sure what they will see at 5+2. I guess the sac can be measured?

KnitterNotTwitter · 12/02/2011 22:08

Hey lovely ladies

Just thought I'd pop in...

So sorry to hear the sad news but am glad that for most people things are going well.

I'm doing ok. I saw my counsellor for what was supposed to be our last session yesterday. She's delighted for me but being pg means my counselling carries on! Fortnightly for now but it carries on until after the point where I lost the MC so that'll be around week 13 I guess. She did joke whether I'd got pg just so I could keep seeing her :)

Am amazingly tired at the moment - don't remember this from either being pregnant with DS or the MC.... Boobs a bit spiky/tingly. I have been weeing loads up until the middle of last week but that has tapered off which is good. No morning sickness but I didn't get any with DS either. Some womb twinges which make me nervous as I had them with the MC but
not the ectopic so I'm convinced it's in the right place. No raging hunger but I do keep getting light headed. Plus I'm very hot in bed - I wake up dripping with sweat (eugh) and I'm dreaming a lot...

Do all these symptoms sound normal to you...?

tonythetyger · 12/02/2011 22:04

Hairy really sorry to hear your news. I hope the tests show something that can be done.
