A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

Latest stats to follow in a moment!

Hi knitternottwitter,
I noticed you joined the October bus pretty much as I left. I also noticed Hils74 also moved from that thread to this one. I hope you stay on there for a good 9 months

I've just spoken to my GP on the phone and feel really touched that she seemed genuinely concerned. I must admit that I felt a bit like a statistic in the EPU. GP has advised me to take the rest of the week off, and treat myself to something nice. I think I'll follow her advice. She also said I can try trying to concieve again as soon as I feel ready, so feel reassured that I'd have her support (I know many docs say 3 months).

Off the the EPU again for another blood test- hope they're going to be a little less 'matter of fact' about it all.

maybebabyR · 09/02/2011 13:36

Thank you MumTumWanted I am sorry for your loss too.

Advice would def be welcome! It's amazing how little I actually know about what's going on with my body, and it's only now that I am starting to pay attention!

MumTumWanted · 09/02/2011 13:18

Thanks for adding me knitternottwitter my missing stats are TTC #2 and UCL28

hoping for some laughs and support from you all and will reciprocate with {wine} and biscuits back Wink

maybebabyr sorry for the rough time you had over the festive time, i truely have every sympathy with you, i was so worried i had waited so long for my AF but was mightly releived when it appeared,

Though advice on this would be good.... confused about my ov time as last friday I POAS for LH surge and got a positive, dosent make much sense, but defo AF today .. could this suggest i didnt actually ovulate just got the surge ?

maybebabyR · 09/02/2011 13:05

Hi everyone

I also had a MC over Christmas, and made the decision a few weeks ago to try again. Haven't had a visit from AF as of yet, but had only come off the pill once I found out I was PG.

Have been feeling crampy and really bloated though, so hopefully this means I am getting back to normal?!

Feeling a bit scared (but excited too) as this will be our first, and am not sure what to expect when TTC :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 09/02/2011 12:51

wellie welcome back

MumTum Lovely to meet you although sorry that you find yourself here.

i've added you both to the stats...

Welcome nina hope the ladies are makin gyou feel welcome. I saw you report your miscarriage on the OCt 2011 bus and I hoped you'd come over here. This is a wonderful place - even if it can be a bit of hardwork to keep up with all the posts.

I went back to work a week after my ERPC but then 6 months later had a total wobble and am only really getting back to normal now - I'm still only doing half days at the moment although I do feel much better now and probably will return to full time soon...

News of my PG has just about sunk in. I've had to tell a few people - line manager and physiotherapist and we've agreed to tell MIL my Sis, Mum and Dad once we've had the initial scan and know it's not another ectopic... We'll tell everyone else once we feel safer about things - probably after the 12-week scan.

Hi all,

MC over christmas, natural management of it and only just today got my first AF since, nervous about TTC again and only whilst been lurking on various threads have i decided to jump back on the rollar coaster again...

Already this morning been working out due dates for if i get a BFP this month !

Does that qualify me for pulling up a bean bag and adding a bottle of wine to share with those that have already been opened?

owlbooty · 09/02/2011 11:49

Morning lovelies :)

Good luck with the scan today blackkat - hopefully you'll get the all clear and that will be a weight off your mind.

Chloe so glad you have a lovely GP - it does make a massive difference.

Now, I have a mackerel here and I'm not afraid to use it. Any early testers? Hmm? Hmmmm? Grin

wellieboots · 09/02/2011 11:38

Woah! This place has been busy!! Wink
Well I am now back in the building, from the other side of the world if you'll have me. Hello to all the newbies over the last couple of weeks, sorry for your losses and hope you find lots of support and care here, it's a fab place to be looked after, laugh, cry, rant, be silly, whatever you feel like.

Sorry to hear that some of you have been having a really rough time of it - it's funny how it comes and goes isn't it? I had a rough time while we were in dubai on a stopover on our way down under, just very aware that when we'd planned and booked it, we'd thought that I would be 20 wks pg - for some reason it seemed to be a bit of a trigger. Being here has been kind of the same - at odd moments, I am remembering that we were planning to come here when I was pg, drove past the hospital today where I would have had the lo, very weird.

Anyway, enough of this wallowing - I will have my DC1 in that hospital, in all likelihood, just not in June. Need to pull myself together and look forward.

Sorry to be a pain but can someone please add me to the stats as I don't want to mess them up due to time difference - I'm now on cycle 1, UCL 29 or 30, CD11 - thanks!

Sorry for the me me me post when I've not been around for ages, congrats to the new bfps and (((hugs))) to everyone - we've just got internet in the last couple of days, but should be online more often now.

youremindmeofthebabe · 09/02/2011 11:25

I dunno. It's a bit early for me to be oving? Our bodies are keeping us guessing this month, evidently!

Hey folks, Sorry for the short post yesterday. I had an unexplained patch of EWCM, and couldn't tell what it was, after dtd in the am. To my Blush I checked. It did form a gelatinous glob(how pleasant). So, tried and tested technique that one now.BlushHmmGrin I am starting to worry for my sanity...

nina I went back to work after a week, I was quite wanting to get back into it, but really it was fine. A bit teary.

Hows the Gloomy place this morning? Is it like <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=image64.webshots.com/164/2/25/86/534122586Cfqdfc_ph.jpg&imgrefurl=family.webshots.com/photo/1534122586074256231Cfqdfc&usg=__Zc0cs9Pm8T8vW9qJnWH-qaiwiF0=&h=600&w=800&sz=76&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=zy8ZTehBBmg5SM:&tbnh=135&tbnw=185&ei=_1RSTeaiB5GKhQfvz5XeCA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Deeyore%2Bgloomy%2Bplace%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26hs%3DHtl%26sa%3DX%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26biw%3D1024%26bih%3D551%26tbs%3Disch:1%26prmd%3Divns&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=371&oei=_1RSTeaiB5GKhQfvz5XeCA&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=15&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0&tx=153&ty=93" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this?? blackkat good luck for your scan later.

Chloe55 · 09/02/2011 08:25

Morning ladies,

Project Spongebob bedroom starts today as a sruprise for my ds's birthday on Sat so will be busy busy busy!

Still no sign of AF but have been getting niggles and it's def teasing me. Please don't get your hopes up ladies, it can be very normal for Clomid to mess up cycles and mine never was much cop anyway, so, still refusing to waste more money on tests and waiting for my cheapy ones to arrive. I also picked up my Provera prescription yesterday to be started tomorrow if still no AF but doc said it can take 5 days for your AF to start after taking it! Shock Then it's 5 days of Clomid hell so am thinking I may have to give it a miss this month as Clomid Hell will fall on my birthday Sad You never know, I might miraculously fall pg next month without the damn stuff!

Hope everyone is out of Eeyore's Gloomy Place this morning. My internet keeps crashing and now dh is shouting for the laptop so will check in later with less of a post about me Grin

LILI80 · 09/02/2011 08:06

nina I had just over a week off after my d&c. I needed to go back to work as I wanted to get back to 'normality' as quickly as possible. As I found out I'd lost my baby on 23 dec I spent the whole of xmas and new year in this awful depressing bubble and I just thought I need to sort this and get back to how I was before the miscarriage happened.

For me it was the best thing I did as everyone was so lovely to me. I was scared going in as wasn't sure how people would be and when one colleague asked me how I was feeling I did nearly cry - so don't be surprised if you feel like this!

I'm like you and also just want to get on with making another baby - I think it's the best therapy!

Go with how you feel and if you feel up to it, talk about your loss. It's the one thing that's helped me.

That's hope you get pg quickly Grin

cep · 09/02/2011 07:38

morning all, just a quickie as should be getting ds dressed for nursery.

nina i had a whole month off, i just couldn't face going back to work. i work on telephony and didn't want to have to sit there listening to people moaning. good luck for your scan today.

blackkat good luck for your scan too, hope everything is clear for you.

yrmotb yes it sinks to the bottom, tested and confirmed (however gross it sounds)

just had a big temp jump but no eggnog. Sad hopefully not oving quite yet.

Hello to everyone.

AandRMum · 09/02/2011 05:40

Hi Nina so sorry you are here. I returned to work the day after my ERPC (I was on a contract and lost significant pay if I didn't). For me it was good to have something normal to do to distract me and I think it took a while for all of it to hit me. I know others on here have taken weeks off. Everybody deals with things differently I suppose, so being incredibly unhelpful, I guess it is whatever works best for you but don't let yourself be pushed back into things (by yourself or others) before you are ready.

MummyAbroad · 08/02/2011 23:40

BlackKat good luck for the scan tommorrow, I so hope you get the all clear quickly. I think its normal to be anxious about going back to somewhere you had bad news (sorry, I know that doesnt make it any easier though)

Izzy I will join you for a wallow, sometimes all this positivity is just too much hard work!

Lilli8 Ta. Hope you didnt read too far back, I have been here since June Shock Hope you get your BFP soon too!

BrownB 'twas me that moved you to MIA. Sorry, someone suggested list tidying and I couldnt resist Blush Where are you in your cycle now?

Nina I found that website www.pregnancyloss.info so helpful, if you hit the "home" button on that link you can see the rest of the site, its ever so good. Glad you are feeling positive today, you might have stronger reactions later on, it does affect people in lots of different ways.

YRMOTB according to cep, eggnog sinks and turns into a blob. Cant wait to try it outHmm Confused Blush

Ninunina · 08/02/2011 23:01

Thanks for making me feel so welcome everyone

I've surprised myself today, since I'm feeling quite up beat. I'm eager to get back into things and start trying again. I'm a bit worried that I'm not dealing things properly.

Essentially I'm in the middle of my m/c and am still bleeding and still in a bit of pain. I'm back at the EPU tomorrow, so won't go back to work, but I think I'll go in on Thursday. Is that too soon? I don't think I've ever taken 3 days sick leave before.

LILI80 · 08/02/2011 22:10

ninunina sorry for your loss but welcome everyone is lovely on here.

mummya just read back and can't believe what you've been through. Shock but here's to a BFP you definitely deserve it Smile

hello to everyone else hope you're all doing ok

LILI80 · 08/02/2011 21:45

collie2 that is very strange! Sorry for you not being pg too but here's to next month Grin My cycle was 34 days. I've heard it can change after a miscarriage so I suppose it could now be longer or shorter.

Sorry if this is tmi but AF has gone a bit strange - was red blood this morning, then went to brown and now there isn't anything - can this be normal?

mousebacon · 08/02/2011 21:34

Good luck for tomorrow blackkat fanjo cam is not the nicest thing in the world but worse when you're worried they're going to tell you bad news. Hope it all goes well. I'll be thinking of you. What time is your appointment?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 08/02/2011 21:30

mouse I'm glad the meeting was ok. I hope you are feeling ok about the cremation. It's a difficult one and I'm sure you will go through a myriad of different emotions before 2 March, but you will get through it x

Thanks for the hugs all, I'm wallowing freely tonight but promise to give myself an almighty kick up the backside tomorrow Smile

Blackkat · 08/02/2011 21:20

Quiet night indeed!

Glad they are helping out with your workload mouse

Waves and ((hugs)) to Izzy

Getting more and more freaked about EPU scan tomorrow and them finding something awful. DH keeps telling me not to worry, but I'm terrified of going back into the scan room and finding out something else unpleasant. Normally I'm sane and can keep things under control, but I'm already pacing the room, ridiculous....Sad

Big waves to all you SMEGgers! Hope to be able to join soon
