A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

Latest stats to follow in a moment!

Smile indeed for the NE - my emergency m/c happened north of Newcastle and I can honestly say the staff at Wansbeck in Ashington were the bestest hospital staff I could ever imagine - they have phoned to check how I am now I'm back home - splendid people

here's the link A&R www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm

cant believe how quickly this thread moves cant keep up so instead to everyone and hope that TTC efforts are going well, I myself havingbeen thankfully after 7 weeks to begin first AF after MC am now hoping it will finish so we can get onto SWI....

knickernottwitter where you been ? hows things going ...

To all you Northern babes on here, im afraid im a southerner so will have to merely sit longingly wishing of being there with you and all you friendly people

AandRMum · 10/02/2011 10:28

Also can't remember who was asking about the SMEG start date of day 8 - I think that is just in the perfect world where you ov on Day14. I think the aim of every 2 days prior is to make sure you get the good stuff when it counts - lovely fresh sperm for the 3 days in a row. I would count back around 6 days from the earliest you are likely to ov and go from there. One week to go here too Zam so I guess we are POAS partners!! My DDs would love your trip Meerkats are top of their list!! Sounds fab

For the newbies SMEG is an adulteration of SMEP (Sperm Meet Egg Plan). We are doing a highly scientific experiment in here to see if the plan results in more pregnancies than not using the plan! All are welcome to join. I would post the link but despite being keeper of the data I don't have it to hand!!

ZamMummyInGabs · 10/02/2011 09:50

Hello everyone,
I'm back from my trip to Zambia but forgot to take thermometer with so have no idea whether I've ov'd or not. I should have as it's now day 19, but have still got CM (no more eggnog) and cervix soft. Will be SWI tonight just in case, even tho the SMEG was scuppered by my trip and DH's teeth! AF supposedly due a week today, so not long to wait either way - but that's the day we set off for an 9-hours drive into the Kalahari for a long weekend seeing meerkats & tracking with San bushmen - hope she stays away or is at least kind to me.

Any mooncup users? Would like to get one online & see if they'd DHL to me in time.....

youremindmeofthebabe · 10/02/2011 08:56

izz I didn't know you were from up there too. We have a heavy northern crew in here, don't we?

Just off to work I go, All ok here, SMEG plan going well. Cant remember who was asking, but I have long cycles too, and didn't start til day 11.

lily06 · 10/02/2011 08:12

Smile at the North East comments. I love it here. Not from up here originally but its the friendliest place I've ever lived.

Sorry I can't do a full catch up, just out way out to work, been a busy week, will check in later, hope you are all doing ok x

No news here, STILL waiting for AF on day 53 now, how come my longest cycle ever is while I'm waiting to start TTC?

Blackkat · 09/02/2011 22:33

Lucky you izz in the beautiful north east, look for jobs there everyday, only made it back as far north as Yorkshire so far. Lifelong ambition #1 to live back in the north!

The history teacher sounds a bit scary . It would've been just my luck to be picked by the smelly boy! [grins]

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/02/2011 22:25

Also 34 blackkat but bizarrely at my lowly comprehensive in the north east we had strict rules of etiquette for school discos - boys had to ask a girl to dance and you were not allowed to say no because it was rude and it had taken a lot of courage for the boys to ask, apparently but then you had to remain 6 inches apart or face a rap on the head from the Head of History patrolling the hall...

Blackkat · 09/02/2011 22:18

Haha izzy my recollections involve the boys sitting very firmly on one side of some cold damp village hall and the girls on the other - until the boys had a fight and then someone's dad came in early to pick them up, completely killing the atmos...but then i did grown up in Suffolk!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/02/2011 22:11

blackkat surely we would just be getting into the Erection Section at the school disco now - wouldn't it be all slow tunes and smooching (with dh's not each other, obviously - that would defeat the whole ttc object!)

Ninunina · 09/02/2011 21:57

AandRMum you live quite close to me Smile good luck with the work on the house. Looks like a facinating project. We're just finishing off a huge project on our house, very rewarding (but came in VERY over budget).

kat2504 · 09/02/2011 21:41

Hey all sorry I have hardly been around. Trying to keep a bit more sane this month after mentalistic outbursts recently. Due date coming up so keeping busy taking my mind off ttc and fact that am not pregnant again yet.
Will read back a couple of pages to see what is going on here!

OrangeGloss · 09/02/2011 21:07

Evening all, sorry I haven't been around, I've been too worried about Friday and have tried to keep myself occupied in the evenings

Welcome to the new/recent joiners, sorry you have needed to und somewhere like here, but this is a lovely thread with lots of good advice and support :)

AandRMum · 09/02/2011 21:06

CEP eggnog at ov time = Grin Eggnog at 6dpo = Confused You are more than welcome to it - eugh! Impressive when I can gross myself out!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/02/2011 20:50

velvet we're sticking to it but I'm knackered! Luckily only have tknight and Friday to do! Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/02/2011 20:48

Nina that is really crap, sorry youve got to go back.

cep if she was given the same advice and ignored it then that is bad Angry but I have to say I have been to epu 6 or 7 times over my three pgs (only once for bad news thank god!) but I was never told to be sensitive to people with bad news...I like to think that I was sensitive coming out the room but tbh before my sister and later me had mcs I'm not sure I would have been so aware...

cep · 09/02/2011 20:41

hey velvet am so glad to see you in such a positive mood. have you and dh made up?
re. eggnog i can hate people you know. Envy

cep · 09/02/2011 20:40

oh nina how frustrating. am so sorry you have to go back. 4 hours how awful, it is strange going back, i was in the same scan room for mine. It's sad seeing people where you were a few weeks ago. When i went back i had a woman come out and show her mother the scan picure going on about how well it was and how they don't know what caused the bleeding. when i'd had my first scan and it'd had the heart beat i was told not to take the pic out in the waiting room as people had had bad news. i've no doubt she had the same advice but ignored it.

aandr Envy need say no more.

Velvetcu · 09/02/2011 20:39

evening all :)

hello to newbies

sorry don't have time for a proper catch up but just wanted to check in - I actually feel like I've turned a corner and it's great. I'm not symptom spotting at all and ws actually a bit shocked to realise I'm 5dpo already!

AandR I've got loads of eggnog too!

Hi to everyone, Izz yrmotb and other SMEPers - I did my best this month but it seems like you girls are doing better!

It loverly having DH locked in the shed too, will probably leave him in there a bit longer!

Ninunina · 09/02/2011 20:28

Grrrr....just had a call from the EPU and they've lost my blood samples, so I have to go back tomorrow morning. I guess its a good thing I decided not to go to work again tomorrow. I was really hoping to get confirmation that my hcg levels are going down, so I can just get on with it and move on. It was quite sad going back there today, looking at all the couples waiting for their scan with a look of fear in their eyes. Some people had been waiting there for 4 hours!!!

AandRMum · 09/02/2011 20:25

Eggnog galore here but 6dpo WTF?!?

cep · 09/02/2011 19:09

i seem to have plenty of cm but no "eggnog" thought i was getting there as yesterday seemed watery a bit stretchy but not enough then gone today. Sad want eggnog.

How you feeling today izzy

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 09/02/2011 19:04

Now you see mummya I had the opposite - eggnog on day 13 then pretty much nothing around potential ov time (day 16/17ish). You would think after all this time ttc my body would know how to behave Angry

mummyabroad · 09/02/2011 18:44

flying visit..

Update from the Great Grapefruit Juice Experiment headquaters.

Its only day 9 and I have tons of eggnog! due to ov on Day 14 Last month I only had EGCM on ov day, and this month its started early and is very abundant. I 100% endorse drinking grapefruit juice to increse egg nogg CM.

apologies for lack of catch ups, hello to new people xxx
