A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

I fricking love Fridays. And being on my period, I've already devoured a big glass of White wine. Blush

Chloe those murals are v cute. Whereabouts in w yorks are you?

Good one for dsmummya. despite ds being 4.2 I have not yet convinced him to open his mouth at the dentists to have them looked at. The shame.

Any plans for the weekend? Any swi-ers? Or are we all at sff times? (otherwise known in this house as limited rations...)

mamap with the recent run of form, it's only a matter of time til the offer is accepted! Smile

Evening all

Hello newbies, I hope your stay is short and sorry for your losses.

cep if it's not too late... I bought a voucher for my friend to have an hours massage, it was valid for three months so when she felt ready for an hour of 'me' time she had a perfect treat to enjoy. She loved it.

Chloe the conversation with your ds brought a tear to my eye... how very sweet.

Mouse been thinking of you, hope you are being looked after and very relived to hear you are taking the week off. Big hugs.

I'm joining Izzy and Mummy with that Friday feeling. Me and dh spent last 2 days looking at totally unsuitable houses (do estate agents listen?!), and just as we were about to leave, found one but it's significantly more than we can afford, have put an offer in and live in hope! We'll be homeless in Kent at this rate and driving up and down the M40 and round and round the M25 is not exactly keeping my stress levels low!!

Too much to catch up on but waves to my fellow bean watchers... Wombat orange nix lady Hairy tigger pink preeeeeety owl Dachs and HK

and sprinkles of baby dust over Mummy yrmothb izzy velvet choccy cep chloe hadrian wiggle AR zam BOA knitter kat brown ochaye emoo... I hope I have got everyone, extra dust if I have Smile

Have a fab weekend all

Wishinandahopin · 28/01/2011 18:46

Cep: thanks - have a lovely dinner. x
Mummya: I should wait until Monday (when AF is due) at the earliest to test then?! Or hold out until a day or so later methinks. Thanks for your fantastic info. You are most knowledgeable and I am lucky I bumped into you! Out to celebrate at 9.30pm. Until then will hog these threads for a short while to kill this long wait: it's gonna be a long weekend- hope it's lucky and memorable!

cep · 28/01/2011 18:45

quick silly question. i know af starts when you have proper red blood, but is it when you wipe or on st??? just had spotting on st, red when wiped but stopped after a couple of wipes? i'm assuming is here but just playing games and is a really short cycle this time.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/01/2011 18:45

cep · 28/01/2011 18:32

hello mummya, emoo hadrian and lily wish (welcome and happy birthday)

i've missed you all so much

mummya bless at the little dentist.

right i'm off to bath ds and put him to bed. then i shall be back, and i no longer have to talk to myself. Thank goodness i had chloe to stop me going insane. (what was that football called in cast away?)

Wishinandahopin · 28/01/2011 18:24

Emoo: no symptoms of AF or otherwise! Even more confusing!

Wishinandahopin · 28/01/2011 18:23

Mummya and Emoo: many thanks for your warm welcome. I have a regular 28 day cycle. CB Digi opk confirmed ovulation on day 14, am on cd 24 today. Used superdrug early test. BFN. Will celebrate in moderation then. No dc yet. A baby would be the best present possible. Been ttc for a year, no success so far. Fertility fine for both of us. We've both decided we are not strong enough to go down the medically assisted route. So, if it doesn't happen naturally we can live with each other, family and friends, including fabulous godchildren just as we are. But a baby of our own would be fantastic. Thanks for the welcome once again. x please keep fx for me xxx

Emoo · 28/01/2011 18:17

Chloe - fantastic pics - I love the idea of looking out onto a tropical scene!

Hadrian and MummyA - don't worry, I don't think either of you is a bad influence!! I was teetering on the edge anyway. Was trying to hold out until Saturday, as I didn't get a BFP last time until nearly 5 weeks I think. Shall we hold each others' hands while we carry on testing?

Wish - welcome to the thread! There is ALWAYS a possibility. Any symptoms? And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Grin

glad it's not just cep and chloe talking to themselves any more!

MummyAbroad · 28/01/2011 18:16

MummyAbroad · 28/01/2011 18:13

Hello Wishinandhopin

No its not all over, testing on the day AF is due is 99% accurate, testing before then less accurate AND some people have slow rising HCG that doesnt show up until quite a few days after AF due. While AF is not here you are still in with a chance!

Hope you get lucky!

Wishinandahopin · 28/01/2011 18:11

Thanks in advance. Going mental as celebrating 40th birthday tonight. x

Wishinandahopin · 28/01/2011 18:10

Hi! Sorry to hijack your thread! But as I was lurking... Couldn't ignore Mummya saying something about testing. My AF due on Monday. Tested negative with an early test with FMU. Is it all over, or is there a slight possibility of....dare I mention it?

MummyAbroad · 28/01/2011 18:07

hello! did you miss me? Grin

Rare case of real life interfering with my virtual one - busy day. Amoungst other things I took DH (2.8) for his first dentist trip, was a bit worried because all the other mums who dont spend all their time obsessing about TTC had done it ages ago, but it turns out he has 5 star teeth.

emoo apologies for making you test (just call me The Pusher Man , dont come round my house or I will give you lines like "Try this one, the first one is free..."Grin) Its a very slippery slope isnt it? I found having started at 9DP (oh OK then! I I admit it, it was 7 really I was just too Blush to admit it!) now I cant stop.. its one BFN every day until victory or AF. Aarrrrgh.

right gotta go, DS is playing dentist while I type, insisting I say "ahhhh" while he shoves tissues in my mouth...

big HUG for mouse hope you are alright xxx

lily06 · 28/01/2011 18:04

Evening all >

Just popping my head round the door, hope you are all ok x

hadrian · 28/01/2011 17:53

Hmm what a quiet day. Grin at cep flying the MN flag all by herself.

I have been off work but in training all day as I've applied to do some volunteer work. It's basically being a mentor for young people in care and honestly when you hear about what some young people go through it doesn't half put your own problems in perspective. I feel pretty good today actually - reminds me that there is more to life and more that I can do beyond TTC!

How's everyone else? Sorry about the BFN emoo...are mummya and me bad influences?!

cep · 28/01/2011 17:17

chloe oh that's sweet. bless him. i'm catholic as well, and agree it's just a nicer thought to have somewhere safe to go.

jiggle it's more to make sure that body has gone back to normal.

jigglebum · 28/01/2011 17:12

Chloe - that is very sweet!

jigglebum · 28/01/2011 17:11

Reluctant to spend anymore money on them after a year of spending too much on them for one positive! I have one in the house somewhere, but think I mentioned before DS has hidden it somewhere! Don't think I am pregnant though, - though it is physically possible (just about!!!!)

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 17:09

Forgot to say yesterday, my ds came across my scan pic from MMC baby and brought it to me saying, 'Mummy, this is a picture of the baby that you had in your tummy and was never born. Why did it have to go to heaven?' I replied, 'I'm not sure babes, maybe God thought this baby was too precious to come into this world and he wanted it to be with him in heaven,' He came back with, 'Oh, ok, well can you please ask God to put another one in your tummy?'

If only it was that simple - the minds of the innocent are beautiful. I am not actually religious whatsoever (dh is a catholic though) but I still like the idea of an afterlife and heaven is so much easier to explain to a 4 year old.

Chloe55 · 28/01/2011 17:06

Grin Grin at pink!

cep · 28/01/2011 17:01

depends what he's watching and how tired he is. He currently watching a mickey mouse christmas thing.

Just worked mine out, it took about 5 weeks for af to come. Have you done a pg test to make sure it's negative. I bought one but then my af started.

jigglebum · 28/01/2011 16:58

Cep 5and a half weeks since mc. but cycles were between 5 and 6 weeks before pg, averaging 36 days so still just assuming its on its way.

Wish my DS would sit through a film! Cbeebies for 10 mins or so is about all he can sit still for.
