A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

Thanks cep. I'd fight all the way - the nut are a feisty bunch. ;-) x

cep · 28/01/2011 21:38

I'm going to have to say goodnight, dh is snatching the laptop to do some stuff. hope everyone has a fab weekend.

cep · 28/01/2011 21:32

mouse if you're worried about it might be worth doing a post in the legal bit and seeing what responses you get.

izzy thank you. i'm positive it is coming i just keep coming up with excuses as it's 2 days early on an already short cycle.

mousebacon · 28/01/2011 21:28

The school where I am just works so well with where I live and DS school (for sept) it would be such a pain to move. Although the stress this year isn't good for family life I must say. I suppose there's no harm in looking... Seriously, why does it have to be so complicated?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/01/2011 21:27

umm...just on wiping doesn't count. Has to be "flow" ie so you couldn't get away without st/tampon.

cep · 28/01/2011 21:26

or doesn't matter

sorry pressed post too soon

cep · 28/01/2011 21:26

on st or wipe??

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/01/2011 21:21

oh and don't count cd1 until you get proper red flow. That's from FF too, not just izzy's made-up mental ttc rules!

KnitterNotTwitter · 28/01/2011 21:21

Hey

mummya you asked if my councillor is a special MC one... yes! I was referred to her by my doctor - she's an NHS councillor based in the EPU at St Georges Tooting. She also does infertility, abortion and other ladies fertility councilling and is fab.

Welcome to the newbies but so sorry you're here. There is lots of lovely support and hand-holding here.

mouse your boss sounds truely awful. Is there any scope for moving schools?

hugs to everyone else

cep I poas at 14dpo whether af is still here or not, I don't discriminate Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/01/2011 21:18

((( mouse ))) Your boss is an arse. Without a doubt. Walk off and don't give her another thought. If you're not up to it next week, just go straight to GP and get signed off, get DH to take your note in xxx

Yay for the nice GP though! Smile

My acupuncturist today offered to write to my GP for me asking if they would do basic progesterone tests etc. Not sure if any of you on here will remember, but I went to see my GP about three months after the mc, when I'd been charting and my cycles were a bit mad with my crap luteal phase (which I know is OK as long as your progesterone is OK, but it can indicate low progesterone, so until you test for that, how do you know?). GP wasn't interested and said she wasn't aware luteal phases could affect fertility and they wouldn't do anything at all for at least 12-18 months. Am not sure acupuncturist will be able to make any difference but I guess it's worth a try, and it's kind of nice to have someone fighting my corner. I just don't know if it would make things more stressful.

One other thing acu did suggest today that I agree with is to stop over-obsessing on the 2ww, so once ov is confirmed, put away thermometer etc and forget about it until af arrives. I have a feeling this will be easier said than done!!

Anyway I'm rambling now, it's been a funny old week. This ttc lark isn't all it's cracked up to be.

youremindmeofthebabe · 28/01/2011 21:18

lolololol. GrinGrin izz That's for you...

cep · 28/01/2011 21:09

mouse I'm glad you got some time off and sorry your boss is being a complete tit.

izzy i'm confused. when you say you normally test after af has arrived do you mean after it's finished on during???

I'm still not sure if i should count today as cd 1 or wait till red blood on st

wine going down very nicely. hope it is af or i may be feeling guilty.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/01/2011 21:05

Actually yrmotb it was OK! Or maybe I was just too tipsy to care Grin

To those of you feeling Blush about unreasonably-timed poas-ing, I'll confess: I allow myself to poas once a month, every month, at 14dpo only. That stops me mentalling about whether I should be poas-ing any earlier.

Of course, while it sounds really sensible, because I only have a 8-12 day lp, this does mean that I'm usually poas-ing after af has arrived so in some respects it's possibly the most stoopid rule of all. But in my defence I conceived ds 4 days before af arrived and af did still arrive as usual while I was pg, so I don't always trust af!

Right, I'm reading that back and it sounds mental Blush. Time to go hit the gin.

mousebacon · 28/01/2011 21:01

Hello ladies, and a special hiya pet to choccy Smile

thanks for all the kind wishes, sorry you and DH were upset chloe life's a bit shit sometimes isn't it?

Went to gp this morning who was brill, signed me off for a week and told me to come straight back if I wanted more time. I asked if she would be willing to check thyroid function and she said yes without question - didn't even ask if I had any symptoms. Took blood. Sorted. Then my arm exploded but it was fine and I was on my merry way. She was fab, fab, fab. Ah, feel like I owe the nhs a massive bunch if flowers. Smile

had to tell my mummy friends today - they were expecting a pg announcement but I managed to tell them without crying so that was ok. Sometimes I think I should go to pieces in front of people so they know that just because it's my second mc I'm still as heartbroken - several people have asked if I'm 'as upset' this time. Er, yes! They were both my children!

Took my sicknote to the boss, burst into tears in her office then she had another go at me saying she could get someone else to do my management role blah blah blah. So pleased I took the week off.

Sorry for the mememe. Will be more of a supportive poster soon I promise. xx

youremindmeofthebabe · 28/01/2011 20:45

Ha. Was it nice, izz? sounds quite good.

mummya is POASing till it turns right, I reckon. Just like the rest of usGrin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/01/2011 20:30

velvet I agree yrmotb is right, perfectly acceptable to drink on cd8.

This time last month I distinctly recall drinking gin and pink grapefruit juice on the basis that it was low on weight watchers points and grapefruit juice was good for ewcm, therefore practically a health drink Blush.

Chloe your murals are fab!

mummya are you poas-ing every day now? Grin

Velvetcu · 28/01/2011 20:26

lol yrmotb that's why i'm still here too!

youremindmeofthebabe · 28/01/2011 20:14

velvet as far as i'm concerned, cd8 is still not 2ww, and therefore fair game.

cep · 28/01/2011 20:07
  • that worked, wrong was round.
cep · 28/01/2011 20:07

^^

cep · 28/01/2011 20:06

velvet that's ok. i don't mind. How you doing today?

Velvetcu · 28/01/2011 19:53

lol yrmotb i have pretty much given up hope so am drinking a large glass of rose on cd8 Shock

Hi to wishin

cep · 28/01/2011 19:50

i'm back, boy in bed, glass of wine in hand.

collie Thanks back still hurting but am surviving. Can't believe i was in work for a grand total of 20 mins this morning. Glad dh is finally home. Trust me on this thread you get used to writing and reading tmi Grin

Collie2 · 28/01/2011 19:23

Hi Everyone

Just checking in for a few mins while dh gets some beauty sleep on the sofa - good to have him home. Have lots of wine stocked up to get him giddy later (tmi??) Grin

cep hope you're feeling a bit better?

Chloe your pictures are amazing, very talented. I wish i had just an ounce of both your imagination and talent. I do however draw a very good stick man!! Smile

MummyA those are some very impressive stats! A little disturbing, but i have no doubt i'll be refering back to them several times once i get my WTF out of the way Smile
