A safe place for everyone on the TTC after MC rollercoaster. Welcome and come in - virtual wine and chocolate for all, and lots of support and hand-holding until you get your BFP!

The thread moves fast but don't let that put you off - feel free to come along and stay to chat; or dip in and out with any questions.

If you want to join the stats, just add yourself to the list:

WTTC = waiting to TTC
UCL = usual cycle length

Good luck to all - here's hoping for lots of healthy, sticky BFPs by the end of the thread

For reference here's a link back to the previous thread

Latest stats to follow in a moment!

Hello all - wow I go away for a couple of days and I forget how fast things move on here!

mummya I think counselling is a brilliant idea, and I'm impressed DH is up for it too. I think it's very common - at the clinic I've been going to they've got about 10000000 leaflets about it. With any luck, the two of you will come out of this even stronger than before all the MC crap happened.

BOA huge hugs honey, I second what mummya said - I felt like I was going insane with sadness before the due date but just a couple of days afterwards felt in a much better place, like all the deadlines I'd imposed on myself were over and I could just let things happen when they're read.

no ov by CD16 person (really sorry I can't remember who it was!) - I freaked out the first month I was temping because this happened to me - turns out I ov'ed on day 23 that month for some reason. I was v. glad I was temping though as saved me a fortune in pee sticks between CD28 and CD37!!!

big boobs lady I think lili or chloe? I had this the month I got the BFP - the acupuncturist told me it was because my liver Qi was trapped as it started the day after I ovulated, maybe it's just coincidence in my case as it started so soon but it sounds like a pee stick might be in order for you!!

emoo fabulous news nice lady! Grin

velvet - lots of noisy sex - two birds with one stone Grin

zam the locked box idea is brilliant. My mum bought me some little Guatemalan worry people - you tell them what you're worried about before you go to bed and then put them under your pillow and they deal with your worries while you're asleep, cool eh??

cep hope things are more chilled for you at the mo. Shock at using up your words quota! I think I do too but DH just tunes out - I can see his expression turn blank Smile Men are from Mars is a good book though - DH definitely needs his cave time every week where he just sits and stares at the fire (or some rubbish black and white war film on telly)

Someone asked about how long it too to get BFP after MC - I had my MC in June and I got a BFP in January - those stats are slightly skewed though as I was bleeding for 5 weeks with the MC so that took up a month, and I didn't really TTC properly the month after that, so 5 months of proper trying I guess.

First day back at work today after holiday Sad DOOOOOMMMMM!!!

Hope you all have a lovely day, waves to everyone, especially anyone I've indadvertedly missed out xx

OrangeGloss · 31/01/2011 07:03

Morning everyone, it's too early :(

Cep sorry you're having a tough time, I hope things have settled down a bit
Chloe my dh is a good judge of my boobs, hopefully yours is too and is a good symptom
Velvet your bil should at least go out for the evening to give you time. Or, should be paying a nominal amount of rent which will pay for a regular night away at a local hotel
Mummya I'm hoping the BFN changes to a BFP soon. I'm so sorry you're having such a difficult time, but sounds like you're doing the right thing (((hugs)))
Izzy my dh was sceptical about anything private, like a scan, but when I told him the cost he thought it was reasonable, think he had extreme view of what price would be. Shame you have to consider private at all rather than nhs
Zam I do similar problem dumping in a locked chest, sometimes works. My counsellor suggested half an hour a day to really think about it then stop, that works well too
Collie I was lucky enough to get a BFP on cycle 1 after WTF. I had erpc on 15th Oct and got BFP 24th Dec. I didn't/haven't had flutters but my boobs were instantly bigger that one of my work shirts was straining at the button!
Emoo that's wonderful news!!! Grin Grin lucky thread strikes again Grin
((( BOA ))) it's only natural to have mixed emotions, I've selfishly avoided anyone with a newborn up to the age of about 2 over the last few months. Extra (((()))) for due date today, I hope it goes as best it can

I'm just waiting for my scan date now, MW has put me forward without booking me in yet as I left it so late. Still taking a day at a time and bring positive but cautious :)

MummyAbroad · 30/01/2011 23:33

oh I am so sorry you had your due date and your heart is aching. I found my grief was at its worst a few days before the DD, but subsided massively afterwards, almost as if I had officially reached the end of my grieving time. I really really hope it happens the same way for you and the cloud lifts and your heart stops aching so much.

about the OPK's I am afraid it wasnt me that said sometimes you dont ovulate so I cant really elaborate. I didnt get a positive this month either, despite doing 2 a day around ov time. I agree with Emoo eggnog is the way forward when the OPK's arent playing ball (she must know she is diffed!). Have you been ill/traveling/excersising lots/stressed? any of those would explain delayed ov.

Thanks everyone for all your support about DH, we've been talking loads and he is enthusiastic about seeing the counsellor again which is making me hopeful. If he didnt want to even try I think I would be really scared.

loola I downloaded a couple of episodes of 1born after seeing everyone talking about it so much on MN - now I am wondering WHY? Its making me feel like a masochist but of course I cant turn it off Confused

would love to catch up with more of you, but the thread is just too fast, so big MWAH instead to everyone xxxxx

loola2shus · 30/01/2011 22:32

BOA 'Of course I am thrilled, but a bit of me ACHES. I think it's my heart...' I know exactly what you mean,so perfectly put! hugs xx

velvet hello lovely, how are you doing?

mouse I have beem meaning to give you a hug too xx

knitter & chloe I get that too!

Well mummya with EMOOS news it seems that everything is on track with your everyone diffed by March predictions.... really hope you're right!!!

Forgot to temp this morning... and 2 days this cycle were disregarded due to fever, I hope it doesn't confuse FF! Really really want to be pg before due date, but know that it is very VERY unlikely Sad I have got 1born every min recorded (which I normally love) but just can't face watching this week for some reason Confused

Emoo · 30/01/2011 22:29

Thanks for all your kind words, lovely ladies! .

BOA - sorry you're having a rough time at the moment. I have never had any luck with opks either (has been years since I tried though). Just look for the egg-nog and time it according to that.

Mouse - good call I think, not going to work tomorrow. Hope you get chance to get some tlc from somewhere.

Hadrian and MummyA - hope your poasing is successful in the next few days! MummyA - sorry things not going well with DH, and I hope the counselling helps to get you to a better place. Really - no symptoms, but was starting to wonder as temps were high and stable, and my LP is usually 12, sometimes 13.

MamaP Dachs - thanks for the invite to the other fred - will pop in at some point, but for now need to catch up with you lot, fold loads of washing and get to bed!

chloe good luck if/when you poas!

LOL Grin at Loola chart-stalker! I'll be watching yours this month again too!

Collie2 · 30/01/2011 22:13

backonceagain sorry just realised you have already said its your due dat tomorrow. can't believe i didn't read that properly. I am really sorry, i know it will be a sad day for you. Are you doing anything to remember or nice to get you through the day? I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Clearly my thoughts about your cycle are completely useless. xxxx

Collie2 · 30/01/2011 22:08

Dachs, gosh you must have been devastated to mc after 7 years of agonising trying. So please for you that you?ve got another BFP now though, wishing you lots and lots of luck.

Emoo BIG congratulations on your BFP. After just one cycle too. I am hoping for more BFPs are to follow from others and that this thread is as lucky for us all!!

lili I?m not sure about your symptoms either. I had extremely sore and sensitive boobs in the early weeks of my pg b4 mc, just a slight brush would feel like I?d rubbed sandpaper across them, and I would often hold them up when I bent over (and I?m not particularly well endowed). If you have ttc during your wft cycle I wouldn?t rule being pg out, but it also sounds like it could be one of many things.

mummya I am sorry to hear your having trouble with you dh. A time like this is extremely stressful and I don?t think counseling is ott at all. Whatever it takes to make it right. ((Big hug for you both))

YMMOTB, shipley! That?s close. Smile

backonceagain Is your normal ov date usually day 16? Mines as late as 23. Is it your first cycle after wtf? I think it can take a while to get back to normal. I understand the ache in your heart too. Going to see my friends new baby next week. I'm really pleased for her obviously and want to meet the little princess, but I know I?ll leave with a heavy heart.

Night everyone

hadrian · 30/01/2011 22:05

aaah emoo that is such wonderful news, I'm so delighted! How wonderful, good for you. Have you really had no symptoms or was a tiny part of you starting to wonder?

Right then mummya, anything's possible...

Sorry to hear you're feeling low boa and a big hug to you for your due date yesterday. Hope you got through it OK. I know that ache all too well. My SIL is due 5 days before my due date in July and every time someone talks about their baby coming I think my heart is going to break. One day at a time xxx

Velvetcu · 30/01/2011 21:57

awww BOA I know how you feel :( there are lots of babies around me atm. It's shit isnt it when you know you should have your one too.

I ov between cd14-18 so it could be that it hasnt happened yet. The other reason could be(and I was gutted when I had one coz it was my due date month)that you are not ovulating this month. Apparently (I think the oracle told me) it is normal to have a couple of months each year when you dont ov. I tried opks for one month but i never got a positive so i stopped using them - too stressful!

Dont give up! wow it's so much easier saying that to someone else rather than doing it myself! I'm here to hold your hand if you need it - I know I definately do! Remember too - the stats are on our side.

BackOnceAgain · 30/01/2011 21:37

Ahh just stopped by and saw the Emoo news!!!congrats, so pleased for you Grin

Hello to you all nicks, mummyoracle, YRMOTB, Cep, dachs, pink, owly, knitter, mouse, lady, mamap,Kat,collie, orange, izzy, chloe, Hadrian, loola, zam, velvet and everyone I have missed Smile

Am still I a foul mood.(sorry its a mememe) These effing opk sticks have totally done my head in. Apparently I haven't ovulated yet on cd16. First month of FF too and I don't have any sort if temp variation either.

Due date was yesterday. 2 close friends yet to drop but my best friend had her twins.

Of course I am thrilled, but a bit of me ACHES. I think it's my heart...

Velvetcu · 30/01/2011 21:35

congrats Emoo

Mamapower · 30/01/2011 20:30

Emoo big whooooooop! Congrat's Grin Grin Grin Grin

If you're interested, Dachs has set up a little thread here for the recent bfp'ers so that we have a place to do our pre graduation mentaling... without causing upset!

mousebacon · 30/01/2011 20:18

Thanks for the advice collie and big congrats emoo really pleased I decided not to go to work tomorrow. Just not ready to deal with any of the crap yet xx

KnitterNotTwitter · 30/01/2011 20:05

emoo Congratulations :)

mummya I'm a huge fan of my counselling - go for it girl and I'm actually sort of jealous that your DH would go - mine would refuse!

Chloe you asked about womb flutters.... I had them with the baby I miscarried - I thought it was the baby moving but now think it was my womb sort of contracting to try and get rid of the baby that hadn't survived. Since then I get a couple every month now (had one yesterday!) I did google womb flutters yesterday and it seems fairly common including after MC. Lots of people seem to be saying that it's caused by wind but I know that's rubbish - it's my womb definitely. Hope that helps....

Evening all, sorry I've been mia for a couple of days.. too busy obsessing and POASing, not to mention the normal weekend chaos of dancing classes (not me), supermarkets, birthday parties, and (for the first time in at least 2 decades...) - roller skating! Hmm With DD, obviously...

Well, I have some exciting news...!!! A BFP at 16 dpo!! Grin Grin And no symptoms, unless I let my imagination run riot, of course. Wink

I am still holding mummya and hadrian firmly by the hand and sending best possible wishes for them and everyone else on here. May your BFPs be just around the corner. x

Mamapower · 30/01/2011 17:56
