Oh are we on the vino already?! Excellent!

mummya just been stalking your chart, sorry she got you Sad Please get outrageously drunk this weekend and you will feel all revitalised (or at least too hungover to stress) for the next cycle x

yrmotb yes it's grapefruit juice (pink tastes better) EPO and cough medicine. Serious qu: which do you think has least weight watchers points?!

< waves to mamap cep Chloe lily lili Hadrian pooch wombat and anyone else around today, staggers off to school>

cep · 01/02/2011 15:14

lily That's just what i was thinking, might be more her thinking she's too young.....?

thankfully i only work part time, ds in nursery till 13:00 so i work 8:15 - 12:45.

ooh choc pud (sorry lily) i just had a small bit of toast with choc spread and another bit with peanut butter....diet's going really well here. Grin

pooch i just had an af (all be it a weird one) and i was still testing for pg.

oooh at epo evening out hormones, and put's whole chemist on shopping list. Grin

collie how about a shotglass will that count??

lily06 · 01/02/2011 15:07

I did wonder about that, Collie - she's a very young 62 and I think it would definately make her feel older. In her defence she has always been very practical so perhaps she just sees that side of things. I think its why I've put off TTC for so long.

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 15:02

lily thats really sad. That must be hard if you are usually really close. Have you thought about asking her? It must be really hard not being able to lean on her about this and to think she might think you are not ready. Maybe you are right, maybe she struggled. How old is she? Do you think could be something to do with her not wanting to be a granny....?? I can't imagine that making her behave that way, but we all do strange things when we are in a funny place ourselves.

Mamapower · 01/02/2011 14:58

Mummy sorry she got you Sad

Hello to the newbies I wouldn't have got where I am without the support of these girls and as I am paranoid about another mc, I wouldn't be surviving these early days without them either Smile hope your stay is short and sweet

lily06 · 01/02/2011 14:57

Shhhh, no more talk of chocolate pudding. I'm trying to be good today. Porridge and fruit salad so far.....but the biscuits are oh so close!

No livestock in the shop but still a bit smelly from the various feeds etc.

lily06 · 01/02/2011 14:56

I really don't know. She's always made it clear she feels that way but when I ask why she just says she worries that I might not cope, or about my health etc and comes up with lots of reasons to delay. I do wonder whether she found it hard when I was born.

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 14:55

Grin at the choc pud chloe I am jealous! Sat here stuffing chick pea noodles down my neck as nothing else in. Flamin detox!! Grin

lily ah i bet thats lovely (although maybe a little smelly? Grin i have 2 cats - brothers freddie and Bo. Smile

Chloe55 · 01/02/2011 14:51

How strange Lily - does she have any reason for her not wanting you to TTC? My mum and I are the same, tell each other everything but sometimes she is so bloody insensitive.

lily06 · 01/02/2011 14:48

Its a pet shop, Collie.

Thanks, Chloe and Pooch, its kind of good to know that its not just my mum that can be that insensitive. I finally told her last week that we were TTC again and about the clomid and all she could say was 'how will you manage the shop'? The silly thing is that we're actually very close and talk about everything else, but she's never been supportive of me wanting kids.

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 14:41

Lily whats your shop?

Chloe55 · 01/02/2011 14:40

I am meant to be on the special K diet and have just troffed a chocolate sponge pudding with ice cream that I had to have and have now made myself feel really sick Blush

Pooch28 · 01/02/2011 14:39

Collie mmc was 15th Oct, then had what I thought was a normal cycle so started trying again and got a BFP 25th Nov but then 5 days later had either a heavy AF or v early mc - dr said it was a biochemical pregnancy. Confused Have been ttc since then, on CD 17 now and imagining pg symptoms that dont' even exist!
lily my mum sent me a 'joke' email a couple of weeks after my mmc - about a pg woman etc etc - wasn't funny at all and couldn't believe how insensitive she had been.
chloe had acupuncture and massage when I was pregnant with my DD. Didn't have it for the last 2 MC's or the 2 MC's I had before DD. Now having it again, I'm pretty cynical Hmm but the Acupunc't I saw has been the only person to make me feel more positive and talked soooo much sense - if you can afford it I would recommend it.

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 14:39

Yes i used to use EPO when i was younger....to help with my zits Grin but got out of the habit. I've got some actually but never think to take them..... but know i know they can help.... >

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 14:36

Hi cep I should be working too today but i'm at home and just cannot concenrate.

Not sure how much grapefruit you'd need. Maybe a glass.....but i'm totally guessing.

lily06 · 01/02/2011 14:36

Collie if you've opened that wine already we may as well make a start. MummyA can join us at a reasonable hour in Costa Rica Grin

lily06 · 01/02/2011 14:34

How's work, cep? I'm at work too but can dip in and out of here as my shop is a bit quiet this afternoon.

I'm not keen on grapefruit either, but prepared to give it a go. Would also be interested to know how much is enough!

Thanks, MummyA, I used to take evening primrose when I was a teenager and do remember I felt better on it - no idea why I stopped taking it, guess I got out of the habit. I've heard its supposed to even out the highs and lows that hormones produce too. >

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 14:32

Hope your still feeling ok mummya ?

Smile
cep · 01/02/2011 14:28

Afternoon All,

mummya sorry she got you. at least you're handling it better than me. Grin was looking on google maps at costa rica last night.

collie sorry it's quiet cause i've actually been at work today. am glad you're feeling better today.

I haven't tried grapefruit juice, how much do you have to drink to get an effect? i don't like grapefruit.

I drank raspberry leaf tea near end of pg with ds and had to add sugar, was fine with sugar.

hello to everyone else. i'm rubbish at mentioning names (can't seem to remember anything at the moment), but hope you're all ok.

MummyAbroad · 01/02/2011 13:04

lili EPO = evening primrose oil. I am still taking it because it has made my skin and feel fantastic. Smile

collie not feeling too bad thanks, but its only 7am and have not long woken up. The disapointment might start sinking in later!

lily06 · 01/02/2011 12:57

Collie I think we all torment ourselves, especially on FB!

I know what you mean about the sympathy drying up - people expect you to get over the emotional side of things as soon as the physical pain is over. I remember sometime last year commenting to DH that the doctor had offered me a course of anti depressants - he couldn't understand why!

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 12:55

I think EPO is Evening Primrose Oil.

Chloe55 · 01/02/2011 12:54

Urrghh that's a bugger Mummya, but, like you say, on the plus side at least you get drunk and try some new things Wink

Lily - Hmm that was insensitive of your mum. I love my mum dearly but some of the things she has said to me since I have decided to take a break on the job hunting front have Shock me to the core. Things like, 'well how long are you planning not to look for work, you may never fall pg you know?' and the usual look of disappointment that follows.

Not having any clomid side effects for past few days (unless the pg symptoms are not pg or AF), just having mild period type aches. I am not even PMTy either so am just very Confused

I used Raspberry Leaf tea at the end of my pg with ds. It is disgusting!

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 12:52

lily I'm better than last night thanks, and feeling a bit better again this afternoon. I'm my own worst enemy though, going on about how i'll need to avoid her.... then went and searched her out of FB. Nice little scan on there of course!! Aghhh am a fool!!!

I am sure your mum didn't mean to be insensitive but she really was. sorry hun. I know what you mean, mc was about 5 weeks ago now and i get the distinct feeling that sympathy has dried up as i should be 'over it' now.

Collie2 · 01/02/2011 12:47

Sorry mummya xpost. Sorry your AF came today Sad but i like your positive outlook and you did put together an excellent list of things to improve on!! Smile How are you feeling? xx
