Yipee another clomid club graduate. Twigs, that is so fantastic, well done. It's the most exsciting thing in the world !! Well done

Padme, very briefly, clomid regulates irregular cycles and also gives ovulation a kick-start when it has stopped. Since a m/c we had been tryinh for 18 months before I was given clomid, and Bingo! I was pg on the second cycle. If you are irregular it may be worth seeing your gp and asking about clomid. good luck

quackers · 05/09/2003 15:58

Hey Twigs, does that mean you;re a 'smugamum' then now?????

zebra · 05/09/2003 15:31

Here's a link about clomid.

I believe that taking 100 mg of B6 every day can regulate your cycle, as well. And you don't need prescription to get hold of it, either.

AliBaba · 05/09/2003 15:28

Twiglett, that's so exciting. Must have been all that ranting!

Boe · 05/09/2003 15:28

Congratulations twiglett - are you twiglet shaped - cause you won't be for much longer.

There is hope out there for everyone - I heard this week that my cousin is 9 weeks pregnant - she does not produce progesterone and was told that she would never conceive - she even stopped taking it synthetically and now she is so happy. She is 22 and was told at 13 she would never have a baby - stay hopeful everyone - miracles and medical bafflements do happen.

Padme,

Have sex, all the time, whenever you can feel like it. And esp if your dp/dh feels like it (they subconsciously pick up changes in our hormone levels, so he may get the urge because your pheromones have changed)

Oh, and zinc supplements worked for us (don't forget the folic acid)

Padme · 05/09/2003 13:54

Am new to mumsnet - what is clomid?? Am trying to get pregnant for second time. Periods are all over the place. Can go for months without one. First pregnancy not exactly planned and was told I was v. lucky to conceive because of my cycle. Now worried I will have problems second time round as I have no way of working out when I ovulate. Have only had 3 periods since birth of son 10 months ago and only breastfed for a month due to complications. Any advice??

princesspeahead · 05/09/2003 13:19

hurrah!
go and pop a folic acid and put your feet up - wonderful news

doormat · 05/09/2003 13:07

hewlettsdaughter · 05/09/2003 12:58

Wow twiglett, that's great. I'd never heard of clomid before I discovered mumsnet, but it certainly seems to be just what some people need.
