Compo I have given up caffeine and am limiting myself to 8 units of alcohol (apart from when af comes and I get drunk). Has done no good so far. Not doing well on the weight loss as feel so depressed with it all I am comfort eating. Am sure that will be the first thing they say when I get my hospital referal.

jersey · 15/11/2005 13:01

Thanks handbag still getting used to the idea myself!!

HandbagAddiction · 15/11/2005 12:41

Jersey - only just caught up with this....just wanted to pass on my congratulation! Fantastic news and I'm so pleased for you!! ......

jersey · 15/11/2005 08:04

Thanks everyone. Did a clearblue today, 1 day before AF was due (couldn't wait!!) to confirm the cheap tests where right and its the darkest blue cross I've seen . When preg with DS the cross was so faint we weren't sure and I was 4 days late then! (Hope this doesn't mean twins!!!)

homemama · 14/11/2005 19:32

Wow Jersey, congratulations!!!!!!!
First month, lucky girl. That's what happened to us with DS.
The sicky tummy is probably a mixture of excitement and nerves. Keep us posted.

Welcome Compo. Hope your stay's a short one.

No idea what CD I'm on this month. Think AF is due next weekend. So maybe we can try next month.

JAG123 - it's good to hear someone else has the same problem!! Has anyone modified their diet? I've decided to wait until the Xmas season is over and if no joy then will have to be brave and cut down on the alcohol and coffee

jane313 · 14/11/2005 18:23

well done jersey, first time too. I remember how lucky that felt when it happened to me

Went to drs today, having day 21 tests redone on day 18 due to it being a weekend and my cycle being 26-27 days. She also refered me to a fertility unit. Probably take about 3 months. I meant to ask about private ones but I most likely couldn't afford it. Also this unit is a very good one I think. Haven't got +ve on ov kit yet and am on cd14 but haven't done them as often as the last few months cos am very bored of it.

JAG123 · 14/11/2005 16:33

CONGRATULATIONS Jersey thats great news. Hope that you have a happy & healthy pregnancy.

Welcome to Compo I have the same problem with my DH he hates having to do it to order & you can bet the right dates always seem to be when you are most shattered.

CD10 for me and giving the persona a go.

Hope everyone else is ok & Good Luck to those approaching testing time. Hopefully we will get a roll going.

staceym11 · 14/11/2005 15:33

thanks for all the welcomes I'm on CD19 but with such a long and erractic cycle i never know which is the best time to bd. Does everyone normally go for it from CD14?

loubag · 14/11/2005 13:49

Jersey - big congratulations!

andyrobo237 · 14/11/2005 13:13

Well done Jersey! Another BFP for this thread!

I am on CD20 like puppy - normally a 30 day cycle but 28 last month! Did two lots of BD'ing at the right time this month, but no symptoms yet!

With dd had boob ache very early on but it took 1 week and several tests later to get a +ve result even when I knew it was +'ve! Gotta wait this time - no tests in the house and not buying any!!!

Artoo · 14/11/2005 11:17

Oh jersey! Congratulations, I am SO pleased for you! I'm wishing you lots of glue to keep that little bean in place, and a happy and healthy 9 months

Welcome compo, nice to have you with us. Let's hope jersey's BFP sends lots of baby dust our way

Normsknockers, compo is correct, it is possible to get a BFN followed by a BFP, but a BFP is always a BFP

Still having a lovely time in Florida here, we spent the day at Busch Gardens yesterday - I didn't go on any roller coasters though, as my back is playing up really badly at the moment. Getting cramps and slight nausea, not sure if that is related to the back pain, or if it means AF is on the way. CD26 today (which is the longest my cycle has been since coming off BCP), so it could be any time. Not too confident about our BD timing this month - the transatlantic flight was around OV time, and with my thermometer being broken I'm not sure if we caught it or not.

Hope everyone else is well

Hugs,
Artoo.

Thanks everyone, still feels a bit unreal!! Keep doing tests to make sure, although feeling slightly sick and stomach feels hugh already!!

Stomach blow up very quickly last time then settled down a bit before becoming a bump!!

puppy · 14/11/2005 10:59

Aww jersey that is absolutley fab news i'm really chuffed for you, A huge congratulations from puppy!!!!!!

Welcome compo hope you have a short visit to this thread.

Nothing to report here on cd20 with no symptons.

Normsnockers I hope af stays away for you, my last pregnancy i had 3 negatives then a faint positive, the pregnancy hormaone was not strong enough for the test to detect, they say the hormones double every two days.

Hi Normsnockers - I think it is possible to get a negative if you test too early and then a positve a couple of days later. The thing I hate most about ttc is having to nag dh to bd at the right time. I know it sounds wierd to be nagging your bloe to sleep with you but he has quite a low sex drive and is often too knackered so it gets very frustrating!! What is 'CD' by the way?
