puppyisnotjustforxmas · 08/12/2005 10:40

Hello all, just letting you know that iamblossom has started a new thread for us called we want to fall by fall please (2006).

peachygirl · 07/12/2005 21:22

Hi Everyone
With your CM usually sticky creamy and slightly stretchy means you are becoming fertile with slippery and stretchy meaning you are ovulating (sorry if you all know this already.) There is a good website that will tell you all about your cycle but hopefully this will take you straight to the CM bit. You will have to cut and paste as I don?t really understand how to create the links! Sorry
www.fertilityuk.org/nfps401.html#cervicalmucusslug
I would also back up advice to get stuff to teat your nits. I teach, and got them from a child just before a romantic weekend in Paris with DH.I scratched all the way round the museums! Buy a good comb, I like a metal one and remember to treat your other family members (for some reason though I have heard they don?t like men- too much testosterone.) That makes me sound like I have them all the time, tea tree is also good
Stacey, I am full of admiration that you are able to share your experiences. I really hope you are able to add to your family soon.
if you can't get the link to work the website is www.fertilityuk.org/ go to indicators. I looked at this site a lot when I had my implant out and have got the book which is easy to read, but out of print! I got it second hand off amazon.

sorry to hear everyone is having such a hard time of it My af has finally arrived. Cycle was 40 days this time so still no idea when is the best time to bd. Any ideas?!!

homemama · 07/12/2005 19:27

Btw, Stacey, I'm sure I read that the thick creamy discharge is a sign that you're about to Ov in next day or so. Then when you are OVing it goes clear and goey. HTH

Also thank you to everyone for their kind words.

So sorry everyone for laying a guilt trip on you. I was just feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Stacey, gosh! What you've been through is far more horrific and traumatic than my m/c. Just because you chose (if that's the right word in these circumstances) a termination that only seems to add to your terrible ordeal.

It's wonderful that you appear to be able to move on in your life and have a successful relationship and your DD.

Thank you for sharing such a personal piece of information. It really helped me put things into perspective.

I can't wait to start trying again next month. Please can someone just start the new thread!

oh, iv got over it now really but just that time of year is a bit hard, since having my dd iv looked at it in the view that if the stuff in my past hadn't happened then i wouldnt be who i was today and prob wouldn't have met my dh and wouldnt have dd, which helped me a lot!!!!

as for nits id go for a nit treatment if you wanna get rid of the quick, as just combing them out doesn't get the eggs and then they hatch and are back and if you dont catch them they lay more eggs, etc etc etc!!! i had them twice while pregnant with dd from dh's little sisters which was horrible but a quick treatment got rid of them sharpish!!!

well got a mountain of ironing to do so better go! good luck to everyone!!!

majormoo · 07/12/2005 14:23

staceym11-what you have been through is terrible. God life can be cruel sometimes.

not to get your hopes up, but I think a creamy white discharge can occur in pregnancy right from the beginning (I had it) so you never know!

Despite my whingeing about my counsellor, I know she is trying to make me think about why I get stressed/anxious etc-it still makes me irritated though!

My next drama is that I have NITS! Have had an itchy head for a few days and found a bit fat creepy crawly on my hairbrush this morning. Yuck. Have never had them in my life before. My sister teaches reception and sees them all the time, and says I should use conditionner and just comb them out. Yuck yuck yuck.

staceym11 · 06/12/2005 21:48

oh homemama, im so sorry i must have missed that post too, you have every right to say we're here to support you and everyone seems to have skim read for the last few weeks, think its all gettin a bit much this near christmas.

i might understand a little (but prob nowhere near) how you feel, when i was 14 i was raped and got pregnant, i had an abortion on the 7th october 2001 and i have remembered and regretted it ever since, it never goes past that time of year without me remembering and cracking up, stay strong, you have a lot of love to give and it will happen again ( i know it probably sounds like i know nothing as i chose to get rid of the baby, but it wasn't all that clear cut, i was v upset as understandable, and my mum kind of took the decision out of my hands as she felt it best.)

anyway enough going on about my past, think i was due on today, self control still in place and havn't brought a test so just hoping af doesn't show up!!

does anyone know what creamy type discharge (tmi i know i know) could mean only ever really had discharge when pg with dd but that was from about 6 month onwards so really dont know!

anyway gotta go dh geting fed up of me on here, he still wants to bd to "put a baby in there" lol, havnt got the heart to tell him its the completely wrong time of month!!!!

peachygirl · 06/12/2005 21:25

Major moo I'm sorry to hear about your rude counsellor in London. Sometime these professionals can be very thoughtless. If you are still feeling really cross you could complain through the patient liaison service (but I know it?s often not worth the hassle)
Suss, you should give it a try naturally too you never know what may happen.
I got some evening primrose capsules yesterday am shocked at how huge they are, any tips for getting them down!
Also tips to get DH in the mood at the right time of the month. I?m already fed up of telling him directly that it?s a safe time only for him to be too tired or not feeling in the mood so goodness knows what it will be like when we are TTC

Jen1209 · 06/12/2005 20:21

Right, have just caught up properly.

Suss, so sorry to hear it didn't work but I love the idea of trying in between. I think it is a very positive step and you never know what might happen

majormoo am at your counsellor's attitude. I would be v upset if I had been told that after the stress of the journey (let alone the cost) and would poss say a sharp word or 3 back!

Jen1209 · 06/12/2005 20:17

Homemama so sorry, have been so wrapped up in my own little world recently that I seem to have turned into a evil person and not noticed anyone else. I am so sorry for your loss and really feel for you as the due date approaches. I am dreading June next year (which will be when I am in the same position as you are now) and know how much it hurts now, let alone how it will feel at that point. A friend suggested I took the day off and did something nice on that day, a break from the routine, to make the day feel as special as possible under the circumstances...?

Whilst I got lucky on this thread, I also then got unlucky but should I take the plunge with the new thread title?

Homemama i am so sorry I never replied to that post , as majormoo has said we are here to support one and other , sometimes I don't post as I don't know what to say, big hugs to you.

Suss, you go girl!!! postive thinking is the way forward , I got my bfp just before i was due to start treatment (unexplained infertility, i was due to start iui)

majormoo, i am shocked you were called a drama queen, we all get flustered rushing to appts and things but it doesn't mean we are making a drama out of things. I hope your next session is better.

I like staceym11 thread title Let's give it our all to fall (2006).........., i think we should go for that one, like somebody suggested earlier we could ask jersey(one of the ladies who got pregnant on one of our threads) or somebody to start a lucky one for us.

really sorry homemama for missing your post. You should definitely feel you can post about it-we're supposed to be here to support each other-that's the point of these threads. It must be hard with the due date approaching-please don't feel like you aren't being listened to and can't talk about how you are feeling.

We should have a new thread but I would be too chicken to start one!

(by the way all my counselling is free on the NHS-really good service provided by Kings, but I have to go all the way for London for it as there is not an equivalent in Brighton-hence the cost.)

homemama · 06/12/2005 16:48

Sorry, shouldn't have posted that, was just thinking out loud.

I think we def need a new thread. Fall for fall or fall for autumn are both good ideas. Can someone else start, I'm sure I've started the last three!

Majormoo, I don't think she is right actually. I get stressed and flustered just getting Ds ready to go to Tescos.
It's a horrible time of year to be traveling, esp into London.
You're hardly a drama queen for getting stressed about such a thing. Perhaps she needs reminding that she's your bereavement councellor and that you're paying her!

I was feeling sorry for myself because I posted and told you all about my previous M/C and nobody said anything! Selfish I know but it's just that I never talk about it and I was just feeling low because coming up to what would have been my due date.
Sorry for posting this. I know everyone else has problems too and I don't want to dampen the thread!

hope you had a good birthday Peachy Girl

Have fun trying the traditional way Suss

staceym11-impressed at your not having any tests in the house. I am not so good at stopping myself-have already bought 2.

well I am on cd 8 so getting to the exciting part of the cycle!

Had a strange day yesterday. I started seeing a counsellor at Kings after we lost the baby, which has been really helpful. I have been a few times, and now, a few months down the line I feel a lot better but I am still going to see her (as insurance I suppose incase I do get pregnant again and it all gets too much) Yesterday I turned up having had to travel from Brighton to London as usual. This meant putting DD in childcare all day, which I felt bad about (as she goes 3 days a week when I work anyway) plus costs £35 a day. My trainfare cost £20. Trains were delayed so I had to get a cab to the hospital, which cost another £10. So I was about 10 minutes late, and had to queue up in reception in the antenatal clinic before going in to see her. It is never nice waiting around there, surrounded by pregnant women, after all we went through there. Anway, when I did get in to see her I was flustered about being late, as had been worried I'd miss the appointment having wasted all that money (that we do not have spare this near to Christmas). She told me that I am a drama queen for getting stressed about this and that most people would not get flustered at all. So I need to stop creating dramas out of nothing apparently. I suppose by going to see a psycho-therapist I am setting myself up for being told I am a neurotic drama queen but it did irritate me-it cost me £65 to be told I need to calm down. Anyway drama rant over (because annoyingly she is right of course!!!!)

staceym11 · 06/12/2005 08:26

good to hear your keeping positive suss, and these things generally happen when you least expect it, iv been trying to be relaxed and forget dates coz i know if i stressed to much it would never happen lol, thats why im on day 27/28 maybe think im due on today or tomo and there isnt a pg test in the house!!!!!! will be waiting until at least next tues (if i can possibly bear it that long)so fingers crossed, dont have any af signs but dont have any pg ones either!

as for a name what about......Let's give it our all to fall (2006)..........and i like the other two suggestions!

suss · 05/12/2005 21:03

Listening to you lot I have decided that perhaps DH and I should try again naturally inbetween IVF attempts as there is a near miniscule chance that I could conceive naturally. We gave up trying inbetween IVF about three years ago - but hell you lot never seem to give up anything so why should I!

peachygirl · 05/12/2005 20:55

Thank you!

puppyisnotjustforxmas · 05/12/2005 19:08

Happy Birthday peachygirl
