I never thought I'd be so pleased to get a BFN!! Grin www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3

essenceofSES · 31/01/2011 22:02

Very annoying!! V similar birth to the one I had with DS as he was transverse breech so did bring a tear to my eye.
Amelia and her mum were great though!

mousebacon · 31/01/2011 21:57

That woman is so annoying!!

digitalgirl · 31/01/2011 21:31

I don't watch obem, that would be torturing myself. I watch Glee instead.

VintageNancy · 31/01/2011 21:29

Hello essence, mouse and jaggy - I'm watching OBEM too.

jaggythistle · 31/01/2011 21:24

I greet watching OBEM every time. (is greet only used in Scotland to mean cry? thought of that after typing!)

DS's birth was somewhat of a blur and ended in emcs so i get all emotional watching babies pop out!

essenceofSES · 31/01/2011 21:19

Ooh! Thanks for the reminder mouse, I must go and torture myself watch too :)

Hello again VintageNancy!

VintageNancy · 31/01/2011 21:15

Hi everyone, thank you for the welcome a few days ago, sorry I haven't been back earlier.

I've been trying not to obsess so much this time (now embarking on my 4th 2ww which I know isn't many compared to a lot of peeps) as I spotted every imaginary symptom possible last month.

I've only been charting for a few days so don't really have a clue at the moment how it's all looking. Next month I'll have a whole month of charting so hopefully it'll be clearer! In the meantime I'll keep studying all of your charts to try to understand it all!

mousebacon · 31/01/2011 21:11

Thanks essence that's reassuring Smile

Why am I watching one born every minute?!

jaggythistle · 31/01/2011 21:02

essence I am guessing the Waybuloo DVD might be on tonight...I think DH just cuddles him on his knee till he conks out. :)

DS has morning and bedtime feeds and sometimes one before or after his lunchtime nap if I am around. He usually has a cup of cow's milk OK for DH if I am at work for his bedtime. I work shifts and he has been very adaptable to me being out at different times so far.

mslk · 31/01/2011 20:59

Gosh, that was a lot to catch up on, sorry if I miss anything

Hey Newgolddream temp is back up this morning and about from spotting no AF. I'm sure it's coming though. Last cycle LP was 8 days using just OPK's and if AF tomorrow it will be 8 again. Chart here

fx for your temp tomorrow digital

hope DS gets back into sleeping well again jaggy

Mrsden hugs, hope AF doesn't turn up and your feelings are very understandable, it doesn't make you a bad friend.

Hugs mouse hope tomorrow is a better day.

Hi essence, kateepie, angster, Karbea, MrsA, Harder, MrsP81, ochaye and anyone else I've missed.

Karbea · 31/01/2011 20:53

Im in the US until Friday lunchtime from tomorrow. I'm curious what I should do about charting/temp's i'm the first week of my 2ww, so I guess it's not majorly important... but you know...

essenceofSES · 31/01/2011 20:42

I also get v sensitive nipples around ovulation. My DS is 20mo and normally just has a bedtime feed.
DH normally does bedtime on a Tuesday and manages cuddles, singing and watching ITNG on the iPad to get him asleep. When I'm around, none of those work as he just wants BF!

jaggythistle · 31/01/2011 20:36

he is 16mo essence and hopefully behaving for his Daddy.

feels like I've not worked an evening for ages and DS is so much more aware of what's going on now - hope he's not giving Dh hassle!

I don't get noticeably sore boobs I don't think, did get sensitive nipples a couple of times though.

essenceofSES · 31/01/2011 20:29

mouse - I'll be honest with you, after my 2 mcs, I was similar to Digi. Petrified of getting pg but didn't want to contemplate the scenario of not being pg at all.

My rollercoaster year was BFP Feb, MMC April, BFP May, MMC June, BFP Sept, DS arrived May!
This also means though, don't despair after more than one mc - it can happen!
I did spend the first trimester trying to control my worry levels but I got an early scan at 8wks as well as the 12wk scan which helped.

Sorry, I've rambled again but hope that helps.

digi - thank you for the explanation. That's the best explanation I've come across :)

ochaye - hello! Yay for the end of your WTF cycle.

jaggy - I'm also still BFing DS and get sore boobs from ovulation til AF anyway! How old is your DS?

MrsDen - just like a punch in the stomach. Yes, I'm pleased for friends when they tell me they are pg but also so jealous.
You are not the worst friend in the world, just human.

jaggythistle · 31/01/2011 20:04

good luck for this cycle ochaye. :)

ochaye · 31/01/2011 19:55

Hi everyone! I've been MIA for ages ... but have been checking up on you every day. All set for my phone upgrade in a week or so then I'll be able to keep up.

There are some really amazing charts at the moment! I'm just bookmarking everyone for some proper stalking so if you haven't recently posted your chart, please do!

I have finally reached the end of my horrendous WTF cycle - 37 days of torture. For once I'm glad af has arrived. I feel like I can start afresh now.

MrsP81 · 31/01/2011 19:19

Hello all!

tory I am taking 1000mg of EPO as well. I am on CD17 and haven't ovd yet which is normal but I was hoping it would be earlier this month.

Sorry not been around much on here, been busy SWI-ing and just trying not to obsess about the whole TTC thing too much.

I am quietly stalking all of you in the 2ww wait though and have my fingers crossed for you!

jaggythistle · 31/01/2011 18:43

meh. work = too much time to think.

Have now imagined myself some tender boobs. I am bfing DS so my boobs do occasionally feel odd, this has not stopped me from logging on to FF and recording it. Grin

HarderToKidnap · 31/01/2011 17:22

Have been chart stalking and we have some amazing charts - digi, that is one hell of a temp rise!

My periods have been very light the last few months - such a difference from when I wasn't TTC! So now I am worried about my lining. FFS, I am annoying myself now. Also my pee is luminous yellow from the supplements!

Just CD5 here, nothing interesting to report.

mrsden I know exactly what you mean. Been trying for five months and mentally prepared tto be in it for the long haul, but when a friend falls pregnant it is gutting and lovely at the same time. Part of it is wanting to TTC for a long before the process actually starts - I was at fever pitch before we even started trying, which makes the waiting worse! My best friend is completely non-maternal and has never wanted kids but I have a sneaky suspicion she is TTC - and a friend who I was joking with about being pregnant together has just had her baby. It sucks.

digitalgirl · 31/01/2011 17:18

mouse it's good to get that fresh sea air to blow the cobwebs away. Would so love a bfp but yes frickin' terrified. Worrying won't stop me miscarrying. This is how I'm currently rationalising it: there is a new nk cells paper being published in May/June after a 5 year research programme. It's the only thing my nhs consultant hasn't tested for. If I get pg and miscarry again (Sad) before may then I'll push for these tests. If I don't get pg by may then I'll push for the tests anyway.

No bfp means no worrying, but it also means no baby. Which i still want more than an easy life (let's face it, no one has a baby for an easy life!).

mrsden twins? By accident? Well that's just bloody selfish of your friend. Grin

angster yes, I liken pg announcements to a punch in the stomach. Especially when theyve had no trouble ttc or suffered any miscarriages (not that you'd wish that on anyone) it's their complete lack of awareness that a pg doesn't always mean a baby.

mrsa sometimes I don't look at my temp after I've taken it and wait till later in the day. Or if it's a drop i input it but don't look at the chart. Funny how you develop coping mechanisms with charting as it's almost like taking a daily hpt.

jaggythistle · 31/01/2011 16:55

MrsA I'd feel much more relaxed if I wasn't squinting at my thermometer at stupid o'clock, I'll never resist taking the temp though:)

Cos I'm in the 2WW I confess that instead of just slinging the thermometer down and reading off the temp later, I use the light from the baby monitor to see the temp Blush

obsessed, me - course not...

mousebacon · 31/01/2011 16:32

Ooh digi, you know I've always rooted for you - fingers crossed this is it. Smile

I've been out to the coast with a friend today which has kept my mind off things but then made the mistake of googling '2 mc in a row' and have put myself on a real downer. I find myself hoping I have a dodgy thyroid just to have an answer - think I might be slightly mad!

Ah well, tomorrow's another day eh?

digi hope you don't mind me asking but are you frightened of falling pg again? At the moment I think the next time I'm pg (fingers crossed) I'll just want to lie down in a dark room for 9 months. Does that sound normal?

angster · 31/01/2011 16:00

oh mrsd , i will cross fingers that this brown spotting isn't AF> Know what you mean about the dreading of the temp taking...and every month that AF comes, the thinking it will never happen as well. It's gutting when a friend tells you they're pregnant. there is no other way of describing it - i find it like a punch in the stomach and you're not a bad friend, it's a natural feeling when you want sth so badly and it's taking blooming ages. Also, I never think it helps when someone says it was an accident and they weren't trying. If they said, we have been trying for years, then I'm sure it would make the news easier!!

jaggy - great chart!

right better get back to work. i'm concerned computers might be monitored and then i really will be in trouble.
