I think it's time for clear blue ovulation whatsits. At least I would know what a smiley face means!

ochaye · 12/02/2011 09:05

Oh to ovulate on day 10/11 Newgolddream! I'm more like day 17/18 and it makes for such a long cycle Sad.

Folic - I think keep going. Sometimes circumstances make it impossible to know what's going on. My temp is hugely affected by stress/alchohol/disturbed sleep. I find it all quite interesting.

Folicacid · 12/02/2011 09:02

Ah sorry, I clearly don't even know how to copy and paste a link, let alone chart my fertility

essenceofSES · 12/02/2011 08:58

Morning! Just off to work before suprise from DH this afternoon :)

IfAtFirst - no pressure, but any news??!

FolicAcid - sorry, your link seemed to take me to my own chart. However your theory could be right - keep on with the SWI :)

Hello to everyone else - sorry not to NC further but on phone.

Newgolddream · 12/02/2011 08:56

Morning everyone, not much to report - on CD 9 and started the swi - generally I ov on day 10 or 11.

Hello to everyone that I havent had a chance to introduce myself to as well!!

Raven - take care and hopefully we will see you soon x

the pippy - Ive been temping since I started ttc last August, and am a poor sleeper, sleep deprivation can have an affect as I think you are meant to get a straight 3 hours sleep at least, which I never do. Luckily it doesnt seem to affect me - Im always up for the toilet during the night as well, even after an hour and a half maybe of sleep I take my temp at 5 and its always shown ov temp rise pattern. Different for everyone I guess.

folicacid - your link seems to show me my chart for some reason.

Folicacid · 12/02/2011 08:32

www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/index.php?interface=0 and here's my chart, I think, if I have done it right...

Folicacid · 12/02/2011 08:15

Hey guys,

Boy this thread moves quickly!

I wonder if I could ask you for your expert advice? ~I'm just on month two of charting.

This month my temp dipped down on CD12, had ECWM from CD9-12, we had sex on CD9,11, 12.

Then came under a lot of work stress, more so than is even ususal. Wasn't sleeping etc.

Temp climbed CD 13, 14 then dipped again. I'm now on CD16 with my lowest temp of the whole month.

Also had a little ECWM yesterday.

Could this mean i tried to ovulate but due to stressful time I didn't? Confused

AmandaCooper · 12/02/2011 07:55

Blimey I only came in here to ask about my luteal phase! How exciting!

ochaye · 12/02/2011 07:23

Yipee i have a new phone so will hopefully be able to keep up better! I'm the only one awake so am catching up with my obem viewing. It never fails to amaze me the change in a womans face from just before to just after the baby is born.

Have you poas yet ifatfirst? No pressure at all on here!!

Hope the swi'ing is going well terrys!

Big waves to everyone else!

TerrysNo2 · 11/02/2011 22:43

Adding to the IfAtFirst POAS chanting!! FMU tomorrow please - will be logging on first thing for the results! Smile

Bloody second +ve OPK today, it always throws me as not sure when I am OV-ing, need to keep SWI-ing now which is fun but tiring!

Night all.

weimy · 11/02/2011 21:52

poas ifatfirst :)

ochaye · 11/02/2011 21:34

How long are your cycles normally Ifatfirst? My cycle was about a week longer than normal after mc. But looking at your chart, it's definitely possible that you ov'd around about the same time as those wonky temps!

What you going to do?

essenceofSES · 11/02/2011 18:59

Oh yes! POAS!!!!!

essenceofSES · 11/02/2011 18:57

IfAt - don't panic!! It does look like you may have ovulated earlier than you thought you would have though! I'm going to be stalking your chart!!

Raven - I completely understand where you are at. Take care and drop by whenever you want but definitely when you get that BFP!!!

I'm just on the train home from London after a meeting there all day. I'm working again tomorrow morning but then in the afternoon I know DH has organised a suprise as a joint Valentine / birthday treat :) I have no idea what it is - could be trip to rugby or football or West End show or ... I don't know!! I'm getting quite excited!!

mousebacon · 11/02/2011 18:52

Go and poas woman!!! Grin

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 11/02/2011 18:51

...but SWI was well timed Shock Shock

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 11/02/2011 18:48

oh my goodness, I'm starting to panic now! If ov occurred before I started using the OPKs I would have been oblivious! I just assumed that at day 20 when I started testing that it was still too early following the M/C, but I could have actually missed it Shock

mousebacon · 11/02/2011 18:39

ifat even if you cancel out day 24/25 that still gives you a nicely climbing chart...

You know what I'm going to say don't you? I fell pg 3 weeks after mc. All I'm saying is it can happen...

Let me know Smile x

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 11/02/2011 18:31

hmm,link aint working... www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 11/02/2011 18:29

Congrats Tory x Well, I've baffled the hell out of FF, after beginning to think this was going to be an anovulatory cycle, it seems to now think that I could have actually ov'd between day 18 & 25, I'm guessing this is because of the continuous row of negative OPKs. I have taken a relaxed approach to charting this month so havent been checking CM or CP, and have cheated by using the OPKs (although I promised digitalgirl that I would ditch them for the time being - sorry Blush. Could I have really have ov'd this month??? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2de1f3 BTW the two spikes on day 24 & 25 are probably down to consumption of beverages of the alcoholic variety the night before Grin

ThePippy · 11/02/2011 14:29

Thanks Amanda. I did tell FF to ignore the high reading as it was just too high. Problem is I tend to have a drink a bit too frequently at the moment (yeah I know I shouldn't) so maybe I will have to give it a break to get to know my cycle a bit better.

tory79 · 11/02/2011 13:31

Thanks again everyone.

Kateepie I am not sure it will sink in until I am in labour Grin

MrsA yes this is our first, so I am now uber paranoid about anything/everything - what to do, what not to do.......

AmandaCooper · 11/02/2011 12:41

ThePippy yes both things can affect your temps. I never bother temping the morning after I've been drinking because the result is always skewed.

I do still temp if I have broken sleep as I find it throws things out less, but I make a note that that's what happened. I don't know what effect it would have if it was a regular occurrence.

Spilttgeteaagain thanks for the reassurance, I think it's probably nothing to worry about. Very sorry to hear you have MC.

ThePippy · 11/02/2011 11:55

Hello

I have a charting question for you experts. I have only started charting this cycle and am on CD5, but my temp has been quite flat with a big spike one day. The spike coindiced with me having a drink the night before, but I also had a drink last night and there was no spike this morning. Have any of you experience of the impact to temp of alchohol?

Also I have been pretty much sleep deprived since I started thanks to DD (18moths) who suddenly developed sleep troubles, so a few of the mornings I have not had a very long block of sleep before temping at 6.30am. I know this can impact too - anyone have any idea how much?

Any ideas appreciated.

spilttheteaagain · 11/02/2011 10:16

Hello everyone! Long time no speak. I have been ordered back to say hello by terrys WinkGrin

So, lots of new faces here, hello and welcome to you all!

tory congrats on your BFP and your rather lovely sounding DH Smile

Amanda I noticed your question on LPs. If you ov on CD19-20 of a 30 day cycle then you have a 10-11 day LP which should be absolutely fine. Normal is 10-16 days. I have a 9-10 day LP and have conceived easily twice (getting to the other end though I am still waiting to achieve... NOT related to my LP though). Less than a 10 day LP CAN cause problems but is certainly not a reason to assume it will never happen. Lots of MNers who have LPs around 8, 9, 10 days and conceive so no reason to despair.

terrys looks like you are just coming into the interesting zone. The very best of luck to you.

battery how are you enjoying your new CBFM? Fab news that you and DP will be able to live in the same place in just a couple of months. I hope they fly by and he is then there to hold your hair during all the morning sickness that is hopefully coming your way!

MrsA I'm so sorry last month didn't happen for you, ((hugs))

mouse and If how are you both?

Much love, spilt xx
