molly may have also read your thread. how are you feeling (if that is not a stupid question)
jemma7 you won't believe this - was just in Boots with colleague as she wanted to get sth and i even picked up a preg test but didn't buy it. i am so terrified of that disappointment. keep avoiding going to toilet - what ridiculious behaviour from a 37 yr old! I HAVE lower back pain too so am convinced af is on the way and i never got a surge...........

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 13:35

Have seen your thread Mollymay - Have u rang the number?

mollymay · 29/09/2003 13:04

jemma7 - not sure I want to try again if I fail this time..see my new thread "what's he up to?"

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 12:48

Posts crossed Mollymay!

Yes you can still have period pains and be pregnant - some people even have periods and are still pregnant!

They might not necessarily be period pains - if you are pg, the pains could be your tummy muscles stretching......................keep your fingers crossed!

If your on day 36 and your cycles are usually 37/38 days you can test soon........make sure you test straight away so you know - if it's bad news you can get starting straight away then!

Good luck everyone - cannot wait for next Monday when i can test

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 12:44

Go on madgirl - go and get one!
At least you'll know one way or the other!

Alot of people say they get period type pains when AF is due even when they are pregnant!

Go on pppppllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

mollymay · 29/09/2003 12:42

know what you mean Jemma7. I have the same cycle as you. I'm on day 36. Last month af came at day 31 but usually 36/37 days. All over the weekend I had really bad p.pains though so not too hopefully. Can you still be preggers but have period pains?

think you can test 3 days before period is due with first response (i read it on another thread) otherwise i think clearblue you can test the day p is due. oh jemma7 i am really crossing my fingers for you. it must be hell having such a long cycle.
my af is due today i am too scared to go and buy a test, as i keep getting af pains and know i will be gutted when/if i'm not!!

Jemma7 · 29/09/2003 10:38

Am trying sooooo hard not to get my hopes up but i'm really hoping this month!

The last week or so my boobs have been killing - even taking my bra of at night i can notice them hurting! Tried to give a bit of a squeeze yesterday but it hurt too much so i gave up!

DP and I were bd'ing just before the roast lamb was cooked and he had to leave his little friends alone because they were hurting so much - even to gently touch - TOO MUCH INFORMATION I KNOW!

Anyway, on day 32 today - only 6 more days til i will know - AARRGGGGGGGGGG Can't bear it - DP's sister in law has just given birth to a little boy too...........................broody!

lazyeye · 29/09/2003 10:27

Hi all

Think I ov'd middle of last week so did do every other day as advised by you well informed lot. Sorry, if its a bit early for so much detail.

Anyway, how early can you test (not this early I realise). Sorry if this has been asked before - did have a quick look but couldn't see.

Hope ye are all keeping well........

Wid, spotting can occur at implantation, which is around 7 days after ovulation. Hope it works out for you this time.

Bogwoppit · 28/09/2003 21:28

I'd go the GP route too wid.
I have just had hormone tests done & although they are all OK I am being refered to the hospital consultant. Appt takes btwn 6-8wks to come through so it is worth getting the ball rolling.

1st Gp was rubbish. 2nd one I saw has been lovely - reall yhelpful & understanding.

Hope that helps

Wid · 28/09/2003 21:13

Twiglett
Thank you for that advice. I'll see what happens this month; if we're not successful I may try one more month with the OVP kit. However, we may be so disappointed that the GP route might take preference.

This thread has gone quiet! I was learning so much. I think I ov'd last Sunday, but my last cycle was 41 days so I've got while to wait. I have a couple more questions if anyone can help. I'm now starting to get pre-menstrual spots; if I were pregnant would I still get these? Also, at what stage would a doctor agree to do fertility tests? I am 37 (DH 38)and already have a toddler who is 2yrs 8mos; we have been trying since March, which I know isn't that long but we always wanted 3 children and the longer it takes, the less likely it is that we will manage this. Thanks

Bogwoppit · 26/09/2003 16:40

happy bd'ing bigbird.

good luck to everyone else. Jemma7 it must be a nightmare having such long cycles. I find it hard enough waiting till day 31 let alone day 38.

Jemma7 · 26/09/2003 16:30

Well campers - am on day 29 today - longest cycle is 38 days so only 9 more daysd til we know.

Not feeling overly confident this month though - have been a bit stressed out so haven't got round to much bd'ing....although nipples feel very very veyr sore to touch......this could all jsut be part of the stress things though!

ANyway, good luck everyone!

madgirl · 26/09/2003 14:53

I am day 26 and am 99% sure i'm not pg as i don't have achey boobs at all (have been pg twice now and both times was the only symptom for first 6 months!) also i used ov predictor kit sticks for 8 days and didn't get a stronger line once (just got a feinter line on 2 days) and don't believe i get egg white (but that's another story). so now i want to get af started so i can start again. the 1% of doubt in my mind is fed by the fact that my nipples feel like i want to squeeze them the whole time...!!

BigBird · 26/09/2003 14:23

good luck bogwoppit and everyone else - i'm day 12 with ov pains too so we both shall have busy weekends !!

Just back from the doc myself and scheduled in day 21 bloods and day 3 bloods and hubby is to go for his analysis too....fingers crossed for ua both, eh ?

How is everyone else doing...?

Bogwoppit · 26/09/2003 14:04

what a morning.

Got my O symbol today 1st month of using persona.
jumped on DHfor a bd
got results from doctors. all hormone levels normal. nothing wrong with Dh sperm either. Being refered to hosp anyway because it has been 14 moths ttc. Appt should come through 6-8wks time (hopefully might not need it!)
Also just got home from an hr of reflexology. very relaxing & she thinks I am due to ovulate too.
so next 48 hrs if Igo quiet you know what I'm up to

podmog, if your cycles are regular 28 day for example ov for you would prob be day 12-15...to be on the safe side you should try and bd every 48hrs for the next week !

You might want to think about temping/persona/ov sticks to pinpoint ov for a few mths to give you a clearer picture.
