sorry to sound so dim but I've stupidly lost the instructions!

mollymay · 15/09/2003 16:42

thanks Jemma7 - seeing as you sound a bit of an expert can I ask when I'm supposed to grab my dh and do the deed? Is it tonight or tomorrow night (or both?!?)....(I got my surge lunchtime today)...

Jemma7 · 15/09/2003 16:38

If the test was done right there should be 2 lines - 1 strong and another.

The 2nd can be either feint which just shows the test has worked or if it is strong it indicates a surge!

I think it has to be as strong or stronger than the test line for it to be a surge!

Good Luck

mollymay · 15/09/2003 16:34

hi - I'm doing the stick thing...got two strong blue lines today so presume its surge time...not sure if one was feinter....am I read it right?

Jemma7 · 15/09/2003 15:40

Hi NikNik, welcome back

I bet you were really pleased to hear all about my stretchiness

How was your hols?

quackers · 15/09/2003 15:37

Hi Nik Nik, good to hear from u!!!!! Hope u enjoyed your hols!!!! Yes I beleive they can prescribe Clomid for this short luteal phase thing as it can stimulate the FSH for longer and therefore it has a knock on effect woth the LH. So I beleive. I'm sure ou Clomis experts will reaaasure you on this!!

niknik · 15/09/2003 15:29

Wow Congratulations Egypt and Twiggs. I know I'm a bit behind the times but been on my Hols and therefore no internet access.
I wonder if my fertility doc will put me on it - he said when I see him in October we will talk about treatments. But I'm not PCOS but I think my luteal is a bit short

Quacks glad your well and Jems good to hear all about your strechy. Hopefully this will be your month.

quackers · 15/09/2003 14:57

I don't know I'm afraid MD! Keep testing though, I'm sure these dam things aren't foolproof. I defo felt ov this month and got no surge either.

madgirl · 15/09/2003 14:50

god i know this is my first month of sticks and i wander if it is all worth it, but now that dh and i have decided to have another i REALLY want one! i have even started to get really broody when i see new borns, up until about a month ago i just thought "blimey wouldn't wish those first few weeks on anyone!".
ps i stuck my legs up in the air, dh laughed at my roly poly stomach!

madgirl · 15/09/2003 14:47

I'm here but dh and i skiving joingtly off work becoz it's our wedding anniversary, and i was feeling v low as i hate working full time, and i just feel like ds gets short shrift, and if i don't get pregnant before xmas then i'll go part-time..........anyway this is a conception thread isn't it?! i'm feeling a bit confused now, as it is day 15 of my cycle and i've had just 2 v feint lines and no surge and i get a feeling i'm not ovulating anymore. have sha**ed on days 9, 11, 13, and 15 (just now! ) so what da ya all think??

quackers · 15/09/2003 14:45

It stresses you out sometimes, all the testing and looking for signs. I did perfectly well without them, just by listening to my body. Wondering of its worth it too. Gosh we're negative today!!!!

Jemma7 · 15/09/2003 14:35

Oh Podmog - i know the feeling!

I'm starting to actually wonder whether it is worth all of this stress, weeing on stupid sticks and constant wondering - surely if its meant to happen it will!

quackers · 15/09/2003 13:37

Oh Podmog, stick with it chuck!!! Fingers crossed for your new cycle now thoughxxx
Boggy, thats' great!! Results shouldn't be long either!!

Bogwoppit · 15/09/2003 13:28

I'm here but htis morning has been hectice - coffee morning & the aftermath

I rang surgery expecting to have to fight to get an appt, but receptionist said - oh we have a blood clinic on at the moment just pop down now. so that was it everything got dropped, scooped DS up even though he was trying to finish his lunch & off we went. all because it finished at 2pm & I didn't want to miss it!

I did the pillow thing too. got a very wierd look from DH 1st time I did though . I figure now that anything is worth a try.

Pogmog, lots of people get false negatives. I had 4 neg tests before a positive one. Fingers crossed.

Bogwoppit · 13/09/2003 23:22

We had proms on in the car on the way home from a disasterous trip to the in laws. DS loved the can can. He was kicking his legs and singing along

sibble · 13/09/2003 23:09

Hi quackers. You are up late. Am just back from Proms in the Park - left the rest of the crowd there. Have had a few wines and am not sleepy in the slightest. DS is away with parents for a few days. Dh in NZ. Not used to having time to myself and am at a loose end. This time next week I will be in Hong Kong. Dh has been told to lay off teh beer and eat lots of spinach to keep his stamina up ready for my return (also heard good for having a girl - either would be nice but if being choosy a DD to go with DS would be nice). Better go hogging thread on account of wine.
Sleep well everybody
