Hi,

I had Implanon removed end of November, have had one period since and am currently on day 16. TTC #2. Used some OPKs over the weekend which were positive on Sunday and Monday morning so assuming I ovulated Sun or Mon perhaps tho this was my first time using them properly.

Anyone else due to test around the same time who wants to share (possibly non-existent!) symptoms? :)

secretlywishing · 24/01/2011 20:05

Thanks localcrackpot hope the McD's stays down! Your symptoms sound good though! Try using your HPTs first thing in the morning...FMU best apparently! Have fun! Grin

localcrackpot · 24/01/2011 18:47

Oh good luck bluecrane hope you're upduffed. I am outside Boots right now, gave in and bought a variety of HPTs for later and some folic acid... Might try a McD's and try not to puke. Bet after all this I get a BFN. Silly woman that I am.

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 17:59

localcrackpot this has been my first 2ww and I can happily say it has just been hideous...not being the most patient person on earth and with the added 'bonus' of PG symptoms 'matching' up with AF symptoms (and in my case those of tonsilitis as well! Angry ) arrgghh!! Then again...still no sign of AF so the wait continues!

localcrackpot · 24/01/2011 17:15

Thanks. I've been hovering round the loos just now as feeling ready to puke, but fear it's just non-specific puke rather than the babytastic variety. I'm peeing constantly, sore hooters (ha!), tired like a dog... Might be connected to horrendous cough and imminent ERTD, however...
Argh!

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 16:51

localcrackpot RESIST the HPT's!!! Def worth it as if you have them in the house it's even harder to resist testing early! And def worth holding out til at least weds before you test if you can Wink

localcrackpot · 24/01/2011 16:33

Congratulations daimbardiva easteg and sunface, fingers crossed for secretly and TAcrazy and so sorry to those yet to be upduffed-fingers crossed for you this time.
I've got to go and buy some more folic acid tonight-persuade me not to buy hpt while I'm there! I like the image of peeing on £5, that helps. I'm not even due til Weds 26th so there's no point yet. I try not to think about it but it's on my mind all the time. Ho hum! I know I'll be gutted when I come on... Fingers crossed for being babylicious, for me and all of you!

secretlywishing · 24/01/2011 16:20

congrats sunface im soooo envious but pleased for you.
My af was due on 15ish jan still waiting for an answer Confused

sunface · 24/01/2011 15:28

thanks TAcrazy i'll keep everything crossed for those of you still to test, my line was very faint so the longer you leave it the better i think....x

TAcrazy · 24/01/2011 15:26

Congratulations Sunface!!! I was due on 22nd Jan and no AF yet. I've just had a bit of brown spotting but that's it. I definitely feel pregnant but I am on Clomid and it tends to make me feel a bit odd anyway LOL. I tested today but got a BFN. I'm going to try again tomorrow. Fingers crossed ! Smile

25babalou · 24/01/2011 14:56

There seems to be a few of us celebrating our birthdays this week, hope it brings us lots of BFP Smile

sunface · 24/01/2011 14:46

thanks bluecrane keeping everything crossed for you too!!!! x

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 14:41

sunface that's fantastic news!!As ghost said try not to worry too much and stay calm! Being stressed won't help your body!

sunface · 24/01/2011 14:39

thanks ghosteditor, still in a bit of shock to be honest. Going to wait till the end of the week then re-test. MC'd the last time very early on, so hoping this one will be ok xx

ghosteditor · 24/01/2011 14:36

oh hey sunface that's awesome congratulations!

try not to worry too much, just sit back and enjoy the BFP!!

xx

sunface · 24/01/2011 14:29

oh my life, i have just got a very faint BFP!!!!! i'm in total shock - i know i said i was going to wait, but my impatience got the better of me and i just bought some tests.. now completely paranoid that i'll MC again as i've found out so early... oh everything crossed that this one is ok xxx

eastegg · 24/01/2011 12:56

Thanks everyone for your congratulations. And congratulations daimbardiva! Weird to think of us both testing on the same morning. Sorry to hear about the MC. Fingers crossed for both us.

Seems there are a few people testing tomorrow. Good luck!

Icoulddoitbetter · 24/01/2011 12:54

Well my AF turned up yesterday, which U think was on time, just got a bit confused about the day my last one arrived. I'm sad but I now know that this month all those symptoms I felt are normal for me so hopefully I won't spend the last two weeks convinced I'm pg then get all disappointed. Also am not going to buy any tests for at least 5 weeks!

If it does happen next month, I've realised that my next AF is due the same date as it was when I was pg with DS, so they could have the same birthday! Here's hoping, good luck to all of you still waiting Smile.

sunface · 24/01/2011 10:50

oh bluecrane hope you are feeling better soon and the antibiotics start working quickly. Glad you are feeling a bit better cazandbelle

Interesting about the preg hormones, think i'll def leave testing for a few days yet! i'm feeling kinda AF like today, so who knows, maybe she's just going to come late this month... Good luck all x

CazandBelle · 24/01/2011 10:46

ah blue sorry to hear tonsillitis got you too. It really is miserable. I'm feeling much better though thank you. I finally started feeling well again on Saturday!

Interesting stuff about the testing.

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 10:38

PS caz how are you feeling now?

BlueCrane · 24/01/2011 10:36

sunface yes, I am now late as was due on Saturday! But...slight complication has arisen this morning! Have been feeling pretty rotten for last week anyway and then on saturday felt as though something was permanently stuck in my throat...went to docs this morning and turns out I have tonsilitis Sad!! Doc took one look at my throat and pronounced it, then took my temp and turns out I have a fever too!! I explained that we were TTC and AF was late and she a) gave me PG safe antibiotics and b) made some interesting comments re testing which I'll post here for all that may be interested!!

I was quite suprised that AF late and still had a BFN yesterday but the doctor said that's not uncommon as the PG hormone takes a while to get up to speed! Apparently the base level is 5 in all of us...then once PG it doubles every 48 hours...HPT's pick it up once it's about 40 but the NHS tests don't pick it up til it's reached about 100!!

Of course, now I'm wondering whether all my 'symptoms' have just been the tonsilitis and that could also be delaying AF ...grrrr... will just have to wait and see Hmm and test again wed/thurs if AF not here sooner! But am also utterly Confused about what's a symptom of what?!?!
