Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Good luck 4 ur friend Nickel hope it all goes smoothly

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 12:26

Ha ha Excited - I didn't think you'd have been referring to my friend!!

A bit of reverse psychology works wonders....

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 12:23

oh dear, cross post G2D - i do not hope that your friend needs induced...I was referring to wine, chocolate and JSing!!

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 12:21

G2D it's wrong that I'm almost hoping that happens!! Shock

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 12:21

My best friend is now overdue. She's being induced in a week if nothing has happened. Must've been drinking the same water as your friend, Nickel

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 01/02/2011 12:18

one of my good friends is having her baby soon, too - they're all being born in Jan/Feb (must have been the water... Hmm ) - she's posted on facebook today saying she's been having contractions, fast and furious but then they stopped! Shock

getting closer! Grin

sorry about everyone's ERTDs and sore boobs.. :(

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 12:17

Oh, and I also tend to be pleased we have another month of proper earnings and being the 2 of us. We won't get this time again, so trying to enjoy it.

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 12:17

Wine. Lots and lots of wine.

And chocolate.

And then plan more sex!!

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 12:11

josie when are you due to test or ertd??

G2D I'm already trying to imagine coping strategies for when ertd arrives - i think i will prob cry but then I'm afraid of sinking into some depression for a day or two! The good thing is I have friends coming over next weekend so if all is fails I'll get pissed!!

BamBam21 · 01/02/2011 12:09

I know just how you feel ladies. I felt really hopeful this month, but today my boobs are starting to hurt, and I know that means ERTD will come, but not for about 10 days. That's just normal for me. I also have a really stinking cold. Sad

So excited about your sis G2D. Smile

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 12:06

Oh you poor things...such early days and such high hopes [old cynic emoticon] Grin

It is kind of fun to think and plan and hope. And that is ok. But it does settle down, as time goes on, into what will be will be.

Having said that, although I didn't symptom spot this month, I did ball my eyes out when ERTD arrived.

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 12:05

I'm off work next week and planning on being very busy in the house, bloody wish I'd taken this week off to do the decorating instead. That would have kept my mind off it. This week I'm at work and it's really quiet so I'm constantly thinking 'hmm, do I feel slightly sick, are my boobs sore' etc Grin Whereas if I felt like that any other time of the month I'd tell myself I was imagining things Grin

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:59

katee you just can't help it can you?? Your mind just wanders to it. We should try to come up with something we can all think about instead...

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 11:58

I think cos we gave it a really good go this month that's why I was really hopeful and it feels worse when it doesn't happen cos you can't do anymore so it makes me wonder how the hell I'm supposed to get pg when my best efforts don't work Confused

Excited on my first cycle I was convinced it was going to happen first time for us and I was so disappointed when it didn't. After that I calmed down a bit till now!

kateepie2 · 01/02/2011 11:52

josie, excited I have been like that last two months... this month, nothing except for general craziness 2-4dpo. Feel bloody normal now?! Its quite nice, as its not driving me nuts/uncomfortable, like last 2 months, but still got me wondering!

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:49

josie I guess we just have to stay hopeful (but not too hopeful!) It's a really hard balance to find sometimes. This is only Cycle 1 for me so I hope guess it is normal to be this excited. I hope it calms down soon though as I am running the risk of becoming obsessed already.

I know what you mean about babies, I went shopping on Sunday and couldn't move for all the new babies - life can be so cruel!! Envy

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 11:43

I was exactly the same at that stage Excited I have now decided that as I don't really have any real symptoms I can't be pg again. Someone just brought their gorgeous 1 yr old son in and I nearly cried. Had to go out of the room. When will it happen to us Sad

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:41

thank you G2D - I will consider myself slapped! although I'm most likely just ill then, boo Sad

so excited for your sis, yay!! Grin

Got2Dance · 01/02/2011 11:36

excited - you CANNOT possibly be having pg symptoms yet. 1 week after ov, a fertilized egg won't have implanted or started producing pg hormones yet. So thread kipper for you, young lady! That is not to say you're not pg, but you're imagining your symptoms!!

My sis has had the first gel thing in and come up to have a cuppa. Getting uncomfy but nothing really happening yet.

Will keep you informed.

excitedLJ · 01/02/2011 11:27

sorry dee that sucks.

good luck and fingers crossed for G2Ds sis!

I need a slap today ladies as I have convinced myself - despite promising to do the opposite- that my headache, nausea and increased burping, along with some extreme temperature fluctuations = pregnancy. I am a week after ov so in my brain I know it's not but I can't help being massively distracted all day and doing bugger all work coz I'm daydreaming that it is!

HELP!!

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 01/02/2011 11:10

Good luck Got2Dance 's sister!

nickelthenaughtybutnicefairy · 01/02/2011 11:09

dee sorry you got ERTD. :(

thank you everyone for your support! I'm sure i wouldn't be quite as pissed off it i lived a bit closer (mainly cos i'd get to see/touch/cuddle the baby, but cos I can't get off work, it's going to be next christmas before i get to meet him - that's 11 months!
(it was her, because she texted me last night (after i'd sent her a reminder text) saying that she'd put some up on facebook and she would post one out to me in a week or so)

JosieSmith1 · 01/02/2011 10:26

Good luck for your sister Got2Dance

Sorry ERTD got you Dee I'm very Angry for you

babylann · 01/02/2011 10:04

Good morning!

Good luck to your sister, Got2Dance. Bet you can't wait!

Nickel, I was devastated to find out my cousin had posted pics of my baby on Facebook before I'd even left hospital. Pretty bad as we have a lot of long distance family, mostly the in-laws, and I'm sure they really didn't appreciate it. Maybe your sister didn't mean for it to happen, she's probably just a bit overwhelmed and, if anything like I was, exhausted to the point of hysteria.
