I'm in the very early stages of TTC #1 at the moment. Had a look around and joined in some of the threads but's there's far too many acronyms and numbers in there for my liking. I'm just going for the 'lots of SWI' tactic at the moment :o

So did all you grads start symptom-spotting in the first month of trying? Technically I'm 2 days late now, but this is my first month off the pill so am trying to be sensible and saying it's just my body adjusting. Can't remember who said it on the last page but I'm having what seems like PMT-type symptoms at the moment and I swear I was feeling a bit sick last week! If I'm this bad now god knows what I'll be like in any future months!

Bloody hell I've gone off on one a bit there. Better go and make myself a G&T (am still allowed until I know I'm definitely upduffed right?!) and lie down in a darkened room....

Hello to new people

Docs today who said due date is 5th Sept and are going to refer me to the middys. Was quite surprised that the doctor didn't check in anyway to make sure that I actually was upduffed, just took my word for it! Then had to fill in some forms. Fun fun fun.

Gross story - cat had a bit of a dirty bum (nothing too gross) so DH cleaned it. Cat then ran across room and put streak on his laptop screen and then when DH was getting out more kitchen roll he knocked over a bottle of wine that was in the same cupboard and it smashed on the floor! He then didn't know what to clean up first (chose the streaks in the end) and finished off the cleaning by spraying everything in sight with febreeze!!! I was trying not to feel vommy at the smell of the red wine

I haven't even watched it... been mooching about on twitter, MN, facebook, painting my nails, watching the fish thingy on channel 4 and eating. I quite enjoy my evenings in! Hope your DH isn't too annoyed!

I think I will just make sure I'm in bed then he can watch the highlights , have a beer and a good moan with his brother! They will be most annoyed at the goalkeeper error for your second goal. Oops!

I'm having a nice chilled evening of pizza eating, web surfing and nail painting as DH is out at the football with his brother. Bliss! I've been looking at houses as we're planning to move back home to Birmingham at some point this year, timing will depend on either mat leave or getting a new job (in which case TTC will take a break for a while) but I've had a lovely time looking at houses that would be lovely for children with nice gardens and big kitchens and extra bedrooms!

Didn't have scan, just 16 week MW appt and she listened in on bub with the doppler. Scan is in 2 weeks (and it turns out in the new hospital, way out of town Grr).

Cheeser no idea what goes in a caiprainha, so I'll just make it up as I go along how strong do you like it?

I LOVE 'viroids'... predictive spelling is brilliant, I often have disasters. I texted my sister to see if she'd eat risotto and it come back as scrotum Lord knows how that happened.

G2D I meant to say, in answer to your question in the deep darks mists of time, someone was posting on their Iphone which predictive spelled girlies as viroids and it kind of stuck.

Ohh, three new newbies in one afternoon. at least when I FINALLY manage to let go and move to the grad thread full time (it's soo quite in there - cause we're all still here ) I know that there'll still be plenty of madness going on in here .

Got2dance Symptoms so far... are not very numerous. I had two or three days of REALLY sore/sensitive/tingling nipples last week, which I've never had before. I've been having quite a few pains today, which feel like normal PMT pains, but as I've never been pregnant I can't really tell the difference . I haven't had my sore/heavy boob phase yet that I usually get around this time. Seem to be more thirsty than usual too, but haven't needed to go to the toilet more often which I've read can be an early symptom.

So, basically, I've no idea!! Not really expecting it to happen so soon, so trying not to get my hopes up too much. But every now and then, when I'm on my own I'll do a little excited 'whoop!'...
