Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

Welcome all you newbies in disguise Wink

Josie - I find apologies are always very forthcoming when there is the promise of sex!

JosieSmith1 · 14/01/2011 10:56

Morning everyone

Not much to report here except very upset with DH. He complained this morning that he was tired and hadn't had a lie in all week as he's been off work but taking me in and doing horsey for me in mornings. I told him to do it twice a day for 6 months, whilst working full time and doing all the housework, then he could complain about being tired Grin

Anyway, I am currently at work awaiting an apology Grin It had better come in time for JSing....

panpipe · 14/01/2011 09:47

Well the results are in for me and........computer says 'no'. Boo. Now I just need to wait for whenever the feck ERTD decides to show up - we're 5 days over at the moment!

hiddenme · 14/01/2011 09:43

As POML and Reality have been so open I feel I should out myself as FoghornLeghorn. Have already mistakely outed myself twice so was rubbish at being inconspicous anyway

PissOrnMoiStick · 14/01/2011 09:38

Hello everyone. Please can I join this thread? I used to be called GetOrfMoiLand and you may have seen my POAS thread (which was neg).

Talked about a baby last year, but me and DP had our practical heads on and decided no to ttc. However these past few days have made me and DP realised that we would love a baby, so we are going to try.

But dd is 15, I have NO IDEA how to try for a baby, when I ovulate etc, so need an idiots guide to ttc really!

Truffkin · 13/01/2011 21:40

Hi viroids, Vallinna so pleased all is well, the pod obviously likes it in there far too much to be going anywhere for a while!

Merkin we've actually been TTC for almost 8 months but I've only been on here for about 6 I think. If nothing happens for us in the next couple of months we may need to take a break anyway as the original plan was to move back to the Midlands whilst I was on mat leave, but now may just need to look for a new job and make the move before TTC again. I hate grown up decisions Smile

DarkStar great news about your DH's job, things are really coming together for you!

deemented · 13/01/2011 21:39

Smile I can do shagging!!! Or i can when my legs better..

Anyways... does anyone know how long it might take for my periods to return after coming off cerazette?

My last one was in september time, iirc, but have been on pill for about ten months or so, since DS3 was about 6 weeks.

Been off pill for about three weeks now, so getting impatient - want ERTD to arrive so we can get shagging!!

crowette · 13/01/2011 21:32

Good evening ladies!! Glad everything is ok with vallina and that everyone else seems to be in good spirits :)

Am now just on the 2WW and already symptom spotting Hmm have felt queasy the last couple of mornings, which only goes after I'd had lunch - I can eat before that, but still feel icky. Waaaay too early for anything yet anyway! Also felt very tired today (too many late nights, sitting up in bed til early hours playing sudoku with OH - shows how old we're getting :() Boobs feel tender (but I did tighten up my bra a notch today) Clumsy as anything and not being able to spell/type/function (again, due to tiredness)

I am not going to POAS until I'm at least a week late, just to make sure ... hahaha, will I stick to that??? Going by the above, that's a resounding nooooo!! Grin

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 13/01/2011 19:52

vallinna so glad things are okay :)

to everyone else, hope all is well and there are lots more BFPs flying out of the collective ramekin. All okay here: I have a scan in 2 weeks so still feeling cautious till then, but have a noticeable bump already and still feel like crap one way or another.

DH has been job hunting and has just been offered a really good job, yay :) So we will hopefully be moving from E Mids to somewhere around Sutton in the next 6 weeks or so. Anyone have any location-based advice for me? I'm from SE London originally, not familiar with Surrey.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 13/01/2011 19:27

Blush sorry 30 didn't twig it was you under festive guise.

30andMerkin · 13/01/2011 18:15

Great news Valinna, whoop! Have some very exciting lemonade, or something to celebrate!

Thanks for spotting me NoChoc, should've really got rid of the festive name. But then should've really got rid of the Christmas cards too by now!

In all seriousness, is anyone here left of the old guard who's been trying for about 10 months??

We've had quite a few 'missed' months where we've got too drunk or been too cross on the right days been apart etc, but obviously it has actually been a while. NOt hte year that doctors suggest you try for before getting concerned, but a while. Am pondering a doctors' appointment with added lying about the amount of JSing we've done...

takethatlady · 13/01/2011 17:18

Glad you had a good morning josie. I'm marking essays, and it started off fun but now I'm going to slit my throat the next time I see a semi-colon in the wrong place or see someone spell Shelley without the 'e', as if he comes from the beach ...

cheeser my last job was fixed term and I looked into maternity pay just in case (and my friend at the same place had a baby). I think you get exactly the same pay/benefits as if you were on a permanent contract. I'm not sure how that works if the leave goes over the time of the fixed term. It's either

a) you can take the leave/benefits up to the point at which your contract would have ended. Or
b) they are obliged, if possible, to add on the remaining months/years of your fixed term to the end of the contract (so if you had a year left, took a year off on leave, you'd still have a year left afterwards).

For some reason b) rings the most bells but I don't think it can be right ...

Will check.

JosieSmith1 · 13/01/2011 15:50

Afternoon

Vallinna thank god everything is ok!

I have had plenty of made up symptoms over the past few months GrinBlush

Not a lot going on here today. Had training this morning and actually enjoyed it Shock, and then visited a friend who works in the training dept while I was there and it was fab. I was star pupil and got to leave the training early but ended up leaving the building after every one else had gone as I was chatting to old friend too much Blush and DH was sat waiting outside for me, hee hee Grin Was actually a fab morning though!

Cheeser · 13/01/2011 15:43

does anyone know anything about maternity pay/fixed term contracts? Would appreciate some help over here if you can Sad

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 13/01/2011 14:09

Reality made up symptoms are completely allowed. It keeps everyone else amused if nothing else. Grin

nickelbabysnatcher · 13/01/2011 14:09

only if it really is imaginary symptoms Grin

in which case you have to do a big poo and feel all better.

Reality - you're not playing the game properly! Shock

you can't come on the thread then immediately annouce you're ready to POAS with symptoms and everything

that's not fair [harumph]

cross post NMCB but very good plan and one I'll be keeping in the back pocket for the hopefully not too distant future!! Grin

excitedLJ · 13/01/2011 13:52

so much excitement on here all the time, I have no idea how I will ever keep up....already can't wait for your result panpipe so goodness knows how you must be feeling!!

Lady at work had her 12 week scan today - all is well and the lil one was 'stretching' and allsorts! I'm totally thrilled for her but if this had been two weeks ago before the official TTC decision I would have been sobbing!! Now it just gives me hope!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 13/01/2011 13:47

Hello to the newest Newbies. And to 30andTurkey, just sneak on in and pretend you're new all over again. We have a well stocked drinks cabinet if that helps.

Haven't read today's posts properly as saw Vallinna's post this morning before I went out and am now very relieved to see that all is well.

Panpipe I used to go to the loo, pee on the stick then go and take it back to bed with me to wait with DH. No way he was coming in with me while I pee'd! Surely if you turn up in bed with an activated peestick in the morning your DH will have to pay attention.

takethatlady · 13/01/2011 13:38

Oh no reality, how embarrassing. I like to think that my idiot posts are confined to other threads than this one, and never the twain shall meet!

Obviously I am idiotic on this thread too, but in a different way Grin

Sounds promising, by the way ...

ttl - that's why Mn is so genius - it stops us making all the silly mistakes in life that would make us Blush
Grin

I'm hungry and bored - only had one customer (and one really odd woman who kept randomly talking to me without gaining my attention first - have no clue what she was aying, because she was mumbling and I didn't realise I was supposed to be listening until i'd missed the gist Blush )

oh, deemneted - you're not allowed to call it SWI on here - it's Just Shagging (or JSing) Grin - keeps us sane!

so excited that some familiar faces have joined - although it suddenly feels less anonymous! Blush

Vallinna - thank God that all's okay with your bean. We're always here for you and your worries, so please don't stop spilling. :)

Thanks BB ! Grin
