Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

lol at testing for the hell of it.

No am not doing another POAS thread! I think people have had their fill of my piss Grin

Interesting that you say that about carb overload - I am not normally a carb lover (have trained myself) but this weekend I ate a whole cottage loaf, stood up in the kitchen, and last night came back from a 4 hours drive, had a macdonalds large meal, was still hungry and had a pot noodle. Followed by ice cream. I am not normally that much of a pig (that would explain why I can't do my skirt up though Grin)

Cheeser · 17/01/2011 11:17

Hope everyone had a good weekend full of JSing and relaxing and not obsessing! Grin

My weekend was so-so, I was more disappointed than I thought I'd be about the arrival of the ERTD. Even though it was the first month I thought the horrendous nipple sensitivity that I'd had was a big symptom. So a bit Sad. DP and I had a big chat on Sunday morning about our plans, we're toying with the idea of moving but I need to be in a better paid job ideally, but then if I change jobs now that means putting TTC on hold. But we could still move, just move within London rather than the big move out of London which we'll be doing eventually. He also agreed on aiming for three children Grin which is brilliant. So then there's the issue of me being out of work for years while we have three babies in fairly quick succession (if all goes to plan, no guarantees of course). So lots of things to think about... but we're still going to 'try', or more accurately, just 'not NOT try'. And let nature take its course, and then make decisions as and when we need to. Phew, that's rather a lot for a monday morning!

Horrendous PMT today, and a need to eat absolutely everything in sight. So far I've resisted the big tray of teacakes that someone's brought into work, and I've had a pear instead. My good intentions won't last for long, I can tell. Hmm

Hope everyone's well today Smile.. and I'm rather Envy of those who are testing tomorrow!!

Also not sure how I'd take the egg offer. Probably would respond 'oh how lovely of you, what a generous offer, but hopefully it won't come to that' but afterwards I would probably analyse and think Hmm then feel all weird about it.

What time??? not that i'm stalking you or owt

I once donated some eggs whe i had IVF. Hope it worked for the lady who got them Smile

GoldFrakkincenseAndMyrrh · 17/01/2011 11:05

Carb craving can also be a symptom along with boob of rock (which gave me a rather odd mental image of Brighton Rock...). Sounds promising GOML

Good luck for the dating scan tomorrow milano

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 11:04

I am testing tomorrow Foghorn.

GOML hmmm... most definitely suspicious!

G2Dance that's just odd. Although, maybe it wouldn't be. I once read an article about 2 friends in the same situation and the donor was really cool about it all and matter-of-fact, so maybe it doesn't have to be very weird. I dunno.

For those of you who have long cycle I read an article recently by Malcolm Gladwell here if you can be bothered, which was very interesting - all about what 28-day cycles do to our bodies, (but not if you're TTCing of course, then it's just irritating).

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 10:49

Hello everyone

That is quite staggering to be offered someone else's eggs. I think my face would look like this Shock

I have still not come on, am going to test again tomorrow. I am sat here with a pencil skirt on with most of the hooks and eyes undone. Mind you that may have nothing to do with pregnancy but have something to do with being a fat ape Grin due to pot noodles and chelsea buns.

Boobs of rock though and cannot sleep on stomach.

milanomum · 17/01/2011 10:41

'Lo everyone! Goodness this thread is filling up nicely! Smile hello newbies!
I am crap at keeping up with you all, sorry! Hope you all had nice weekends.

I have my dating scan tomorrow and am a wee bit scared even though I saw the bean about 10 days ago... 11+2 today so trying to hang on for another few days before telling people, even though I SO look pregnant.

Hoping for lots of BFPs tomorrow in the test-fest! Grin good luck!

BamBam21 · 17/01/2011 10:29

Morning all!

toytown - I get my thyroxine levels checked once a year by my GP. That's apparently standard once the level seems to be stable. It might be worth going along and asking about it.

Got2Dance - I think I would have been quite taken aback by that offer! I'm sure she meant well, but if it was me, I'm not sure that I could handle it.

ERTD started today. Oh well. I'll just have to keep JSing. Smile

Hi to everybody else!

JosieSmith1 · 17/01/2011 09:12

Welcome Katyrah, LizzyMathsWhizzy and toytown

Sorry for ERTD Cheeser

Nelly I went out for a good ride yesterday and although I?m suffering today I had the time of my life! (supposed to be taking it easy but we ended up going for a blast and jumping scary twigs Grin)

My window is today until Friday. I have warned told DH so we have agreed early nights this week. Will see if that goes to plan Hmm Trying on a bridesmaid dress tomorrow, bit worried as the bride said she?d wait until march for the dresses, just in case. If I get pg this cycle I?ll be 6 months at her wedding, hope they can amend the dress just in case! The design looks like it?ll hang nicely over a bump as it?s not tight so hopefully it?ll work.

Sorry to anyone I have missed, there's a lot to catch up on!

NervousNelly · 16/01/2011 22:30

Aww thanks nomore Blush. Serves me right, I've been off being busy with my horses, making non-pregnant plans (covering all bases, you see?!) and took my eye off the JS ball Grin.

Got2dance - ummm really don't know what to say to that! On the one hand, what a lovely offer. On the other, I think I might feel a bit PO'd that someone did that? Is it presumptious? I can't decide Hmm. I think I maybe agree that if you did go down that route, that it could be weird if it was someone you know? If it was my egg, I'm not sure I'd ever really be able to step away properly? On the other hand, it would be good to choose someone you know in terms of health, morals and physical attributes (not in terms of being shallow, but it might help if they looked at least a little bit like you?). Anyway it's a huge minefield, and I'm sure you won't have to worry about it as the Clomid will work and you will be upduffed very very soon :)

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 16/01/2011 22:06

Hugs just for Nelly Grin We still love you even if we are in the sober room next door.

Got2Dance · 16/01/2011 22:05

Evening all,

So...I had the most interesting proposition today. There is a girl I know, known for years, but don't really hang out, IYSWIM. She's nice, has 2 kiddies herself. She knows we are trying and has figured that things aren't going completely to plan. Anyway, today she said that, if it came to it, she is happy to donate eggs!! Shock I didn't qutie know what to say!! Obviously I said I was very touched and grateful for the kind offer. But explained that it seemed like with the clomid I was ovulating. Really really sweet of her, but not sure I could handle my child having her DNA, TBH. Is that really harsh?! Think anonymity would be far better!!

Welcome to Lizzy and Toytown. I know our rules say that we don't obsess and keep track of things...but I'm struggling to remember who's who, etc!!

Nelly - WRT MN Royalty. I may be wrong here, but POMS used to be GetOrfMoiLand and is a prolific poster, esp in AIBU. She started a thread that she was about to POAS and she got over 900 posts that evening!!! So she is clearly a MN heavyweight!! Grin Please forgive me if I am speaking out of turn. :) I think there are a few others that are newbies to our thread, but certainly not MN newbies.

BB and Vallinna everything ok for you two? Been worrying about you a bit, so hope all going smoothly. And TTL - no more spotting, I hope.

toytown · 16/01/2011 20:36

If your levels are too low it can hamper ovulation but as long as your levels are being checked regularly (Mine are checked every 3 months but I think 6 months is normal) it should be ok.

toytown · 16/01/2011 20:31

Hello Bambam

I'm currently on 50mg. As far as I know, the thyroxine is simply replacing what should be there so it shouldn't make to much of a difference. Do you have your levels checked regularly?

BamBam21 · 16/01/2011 20:13

Hi Toytown! Nice to meet you! Smile

Was just wondering..... I have been TTC#2 for over 2 years now. I have been taking 100mg of Levothyroxine since just after DS was born, so about 6.5 years now. Could that be affecting things? Can't find much about it online.

Hi to everybody else. Hope you are all dandy! Grin

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 16/01/2011 19:04

deemented the pregnancy tests on ebay were only £3.70 for 20 including p&p so I think thats pretty good value if they work. They're ultra early so even if you can't stick to the rules you might be able to get a BFP before the expensive tests.

All thats if they work... if I get a BFP on one I'll let you know!

See here

NervousNelly · 16/01/2011 19:00

LOL Toytown. Then my name should be BottleBank Grin

toytown · 16/01/2011 18:48

I used to be NervousNelly but the name toytown link is just a coincidence.
Toytown is just a description of my living room floor Grin

NervousNelly · 16/01/2011 18:42

Welcome Lizzy and Toytown. Come join the madness fun! Yes Lizzy, Viroids is a predictive text interpretation of girlies. And JSing is the whole point of the thread! No science, temping, charting, etc, but Just Shagging in theory but not at all in practice Grin.

Sorry about ERTD Cheeser - the only consolation to that is wine, and lots of it.

toytown are you a horsey person - or am I on the wrong track here/

deemented · 16/01/2011 18:18

Yep - Evil Red Tide of Doom.

How much are the ones one ebay, lizzy? I usually get a pack of three in the 99p shop for er.. 99p!

toytown · 16/01/2011 17:32

Hello. Would it be okay if I joined you.
TTC #2 since April 10. Still BF. PCOS and underactive thyroid and approx 3 months cycles so I have no idea when i ovulate. Due any time around end of Jan so not testing till start of Feb (if I can wait that long)
What is ERTD, i'm assuming it's something to do with AF?

LizzyMathsWhizzy · 16/01/2011 16:51

Obviously I want a BFP not another BFN!
