Last thread was here

The (updated)(again)(again) 'rules' from our Just Shagging Originator for the Viroids:

Maintain a relaxed attitude at all times - drink if you want too, especially on your birthday (or when you've had bad news). Thread precedent dictates if you drink to excess you will get a BFP (but not recommended). (It just takes longer to get in the mood

crowette - i've got permanent stuffy nose at the moment! Grin

I am feeling a little bit strange I must say. This time last week I wasn't even thinking babies, had just put it at the back of my mind (for those who didn't see my other thread, me and DP talked about having a baby last year, but said no due to practical reasons such as his age, the fact we are building a house in the garden and having an extension this summer, work etc). But now I could be pregnant we are delighted and excited.

I was going to go home at lunchtime and POAS - but I walked to the end of my car, stood there looking for it all confused, and then realised that DP has got my car today. Talk about braincells in retreat!

Is stomach cramping a symptom of early pregnancy - I had what can only be described as period pain type cramps on Saturady (I never ever get period pain normally).

Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 14:27

Let's do it together, then crow!!

nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 14:26

I think i normally get something similar - it's not a hurting stabbing, just a dig (like someone's poking me). I don't know.
i did get pant snot, as well, but that was a few days ago now (that's what made us have our last spurt of Jsing, made easier to do cos DH was on holiday! Grin )

I think the last ERTD was just before NYE, and it wasn't as heavy as usual.

OP posts:
crowette · 17/01/2011 14:22

got2 I'm going to try avoid testing until CD35 - usually have a 27/28 day cycle, but I want to be sure I'm late and get an accurate result Hmm

nickel yup, dpo is days past ovulation.

Another 'symptom' I've just noticed - stuffy nose! Grin

Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 14:14

Not many people actually get as definite symptoms as that, Nickel over ov. Maybe the pantsnot and temp rise, but I know you don't do that. (me neither)

Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 14:13

Yes to DPO. when was your last ERTD?

nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 14:12

it did make me laugh. Grin

sometimes wonder where his brain is Confused (obviously on sex, because he saw the condoms before the platers/germolene/vitamins etc)

OP posts:
Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 14:10

Ha ha at your DH actually contemplating buying condoms Nickel!!

nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 14:10

is DPO days past ovulation?

I think i've just finished doing that (bloody odd back pain and stabbing in my right side)

OP posts:
nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 14:09

I meant with the Tuesday Testers gang - obviously i have no idea when ERTD is due, so i don't know if i've missed it - I have been feeling odd and queasy (not sick) and a bit faint for about 4 weeks on and off.
i'm worried about my blood (but secretly hoping it's symptoms) Wink

OP posts:
Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 14:07

Crow - i think you're the same as me. I think i'm about 7DPO, assuming I ov'd on day 14. But am refusing to test for 2 weeks, as last cycle was 33 days. Cannot bear another BFN.

nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 14:07

I'd test tomorrow, but my ones from BB haven't arrived yet.

probably just as well, because I don't want to obsess!

On saturday night, we went to sainsbugs to get dinner (oh, it's sooo hard shopping for dinner when you're hungry! it takes too long because you go "no, don't fancy that, don't fancy that...could get that, but we had similar the other day...")
anyway, i had the piss sticks on my mind, so i went to the "health" aisle to check out prices.
DH came over and went "we've still got loads of those left!" - told him we wouldn't be using them for a while (the condoms were on the shelf above) and that i was looking at piss sticks. didn't even bat an eyelid. the man's far too calm! Grin

I didn't buy any.

I agree, it certainly sounds like you could be upduffed, GOML. Will wait with eager anticipation for your test tomorrow. Has the test fest been reduced to just you, though, as ERTD has caught Cheeser and BamBam
?

I'm glad you all had pretty much the same response as me, about egg donation. When I told DH about it, he was Shock then said "I'm not sure I know how to process that information or what to do with it" Grin. She is a nice girl, but just no, on so many levels!! I agree about the attachment thing, although so generous of her to offer.

crowette · 17/01/2011 13:57

Good afternoon viroids! Glad to see so many on here :)

Sorry to see some moving over to the grads thread, but I suppose that's inevitable. Hopefully we'll catch up with you all soon ;)

My PC has died, so I'm having to use my phone and am therefore more limited :( it's difficult to type on the phone with a cat lying over my typing arm!

Am about 6/7/8 dpo- not sure of exact day of OV, but going by the symptoms I had. Getting the occasional boob twinge, mild cramping and slight nausea when hungry. Still early days though - blimey, this drags!

Fingers crossed for good news for us all :)

Got2Dance · 17/01/2011 13:55

Will...miss.....you Vallinna and TTL ....please.......don't go...

takethatlady · 17/01/2011 13:15

Hi vallinna I know what you mean (in the loveliest of ways) ... it's so lovely to have lots of new JSers on this thread, and as there are lots of people here now we don't want to run two parallel conversations between the upduffers and the shaggers Smile

Will go and help you with the grad thread!

nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 12:52

you're always welcome, vaillnna you know that!

OP posts:
nickelbabysnatcher · 17/01/2011 12:31

welcoem to the thread LizzyMathsWizzy and toytown - glas you could join us! Grin

Got2Dance - Shock at your friend, but also Grin , i think - I know it's odd, and that I don't think I could ever do that from someone I know (attachment worries - you can imagine every time they do a playdate with you they have a "special bond" with your child) but what a lovely and generous offer (egg donation has huge risks iirc, and it hurts like hell, i'm told)

Josie well done for JSing all weekend! Grin

GOML I too believe you POASd too early for your BFN. Hope tomorrow's test is BFP! Grin

Cheeser sorry you're upset about ERTD - if it helps, the second time I got ERTD after we started JSing, I was sooo upset, and I didn't know why, because i've never been that bothered about it - we're both very much if it happens, it happens (both of us had got to the stage where we truly believed noone would ever want to have babies with us), and when I got ERTD, i just cried.

vallinnapod · 17/01/2011 12:29

Hi All,

Going to take a bit of a break from this thread. I feel a bit like the 'old fogey' now - the influx of newbies is great thoughGrin

What with all the IVF I was a bit (Ok a lot!) of a fraud in the first place and now I have the mini-pod growing (finger crossed, fingers crossed, fingers crossed!!) I feel quite out of the conversation loop.

I always feel the need to caveat on here just in case - none of are meant in a negative way Grin

May toddle over and try and reignite the antenatal viroids thread.

xxxxx

ERTD - Evil Red Tide of Doom

Much less twee than AF, no?

GoldFrakkincenseAndMyrrh · 17/01/2011 11:22

I didn't do carbs that much before - since getting upduffed I feel like I've eaten nothing but.

Hurrah for not not trying, Cheeser. Just shag and let things happen...

GetOrfMoiLand · 17/01/2011 11:19

Cheeser that sounds like a pretty hefty discussion Smile Sorry you were so disappointed that your period arrived (btw, what does ERTD mean Blush)

I am bloody starving, am going to nip down Tesco and get some hot cross buns for lunch.
