The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

Mouse Just PM'd you. Hope it goes well today and hope you get the best aftercare ever. xxx

Youremindmeofthebabe · 04/03/2011 10:35

Oh no mouse. So sorry to hear that. xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 04/03/2011 06:51

Oh ((( mouse ))) I'm sorry things are dragging on for you like this Sad. Thinking of you today xxxx

batteryhen · 04/03/2011 06:45

Quick pre-work post....

mouse crap news my love, however once you get this ERPC out of the way you will soon be on the TTC wagon. It should not take you long to OV after this one, so try not to be too down :( - easier said than done I know. Thinking of you today.

Happy Friday everyone :) xx

loola2shus · 03/03/2011 22:59

((( mouse ))) so sorry to hear that, but also a relief that its not molar, although thats obv no consolation Sad Good luck for tomorrow, when really be thinking of you xxx

Bee (((hugs))) for you too... I'm still putting off looking at the maternity clothes drawer Sad should really put them away but I haven't got the heart yet Sad Its funny how material things hold such meaning in these situations isn't it!

I have just started back on Met too, it isn't upsetting my tummy as much as I remember last time so thats a result! Enjoy your pizza xx

Battery Pleased you're feeling better after HSG, hold tiht onto that eggy Wink

mummya lol at your little bilingual chappy!

izzy & yrm I'm joining you on the smeg bandwagon...however I started on CD9 (1st day of no bleeding/spotting for 11 days Angry )& I can never be sure of ov date and think ov sticks would be a waste for me atm. So we will have to have plenty of stamina!

I can't give up my chart though Shock I only have 23 days left though so may not go VIP once they've ran out.

mousebacon · 03/03/2011 22:25

please forgive the copy and paste job - I'm knackered!

Hi ladies, thanks so much for asking after me. I had my scan today and unfortunately they found loads of stuff in there. So much so the lovely nurse said she thought it was probably molar.

She took some blood and I was seen by the registrar who booked me in for another erpc tomorrow. The bloods came back this afternoon and it's still round about the 280 mark so not molar - thank god.

Just feel really sad and disheartened today as I thought I'd be gearing up for trying again by now but I'm going right back to square one. The registrar is requesting that the consultant performs the op this time so fingers crossed for me please.

xxx

Blackkat · 03/03/2011 21:16

to check for news from Mouse thinking of you xx

Ladybee thinking of you too, hope the cramps ease soon. Was so sorry to read your news. Sad

FWIW Clomid does definitely improve after the first cycle.

Ladybee · 03/03/2011 20:42

mummyA nah - coloured pants are exciting Smile and really grinned at the vision of DS counting the spots. The last few days I've woken to the vision of DS staring intently at me about an inch away from my nose. Very unnerving.

chloe that's interesting to hear about the chlomid getting easier. I always feel like I've got chlomid lurking in the background somewhere...with PCOS, if the metformin doesn't work again then it'll be the next step. But thankfully so far it's been a good drug for me and I'll be stepping back up on it soon (have been taking a break).

Oof, I'm a bit sore and crampy feeling...might be time for another painkiller and then pizza.

batteryhen · 03/03/2011 20:29

Hello all,

Just popping into say hi and a squish to bee. After my last MMC I have had the pram put in a friends loft and the cot taken down. I am not supersticious (sp?)but I also did not want to look at them any more xx

looking out for mouse hope the scan was ok today lovely xx

izzy I have put FF on hold and don't miss it one bit ....yet!

mummya - your posts are not insensitive at all :)

All ok here, went back to work today after the hyterocospy, I did have tummy pain last night but think it was bowel more than anything else. Whenever I have anything gynae done my irritable bowel plays up. :(

But I am on boring cd8 today, am trying to hold off an egg till at least tuesday so I am in germany. I am exhausted with all the travelling. I can't wait for DP to come home for good!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/03/2011 20:27

((( ladybee ))) I know, I feel really guilty for feeling Sad when I know how lucky I am to already have two...I should stop moaning and get over it!!

yrmotb ok I'll give in and do the opks too, but only one a day not the mental three a day I was doing last cycle! And I will try and get back onto the SMEP bandwagon [focused emoticon]

Chloe hope you're doing ok? I think your attitude towards opks is pretty much like mine towards pregnancy tests...every month I poas and then think "there must be something wrong with this batch of Internet cheapies - they've never given me a positive!!" thus managing to avoid the realisation that the reason I've never got a bfp from them is that I've never been pg when I've peed on them Grin

mummya yay for the sexy knicks!! I completely get where you are with the pg paranoia - I had my mmc at 16 weeks so, like you, I suspect if I ever do get pg again I'll be relatively ok about the early stages, which have always gone ok for me, then have a complete meltdown after the 12 week scan. Anyway calm is good, keep it up x

Chloe55 · 03/03/2011 20:15

Bee I know what you mean totally. I am the first out of my group of friends to have a dc, he is now 5, 3 years later and still no sign of my second Sad A couple of friends are in the process of TTC and it's been a fair few months for one or two of them and they regularly say to me 'well at least you have ds' they are right, thank God I do but that doesn't stop me pining as much for another as I did for my first. We all have a plan of how we would like our life to be but it never works that way does it? Angry

YRMOTB I'm good thanks! Have felt more positive this month than I have in a while and this second dose of Clomid isn't half as unbearable as the first so am pleased about that. Thanks for asking.

MummyAbroad · 03/03/2011 20:07

x-posts

I think my post looks all insensitive next to bees! Sorry if I have offended anyone. Big squeeze to anyone who needs one.

Bee I think you are very brave reading that thread, I saw the title several times but havent had the guts to open it.

MummyAbroad · 03/03/2011 20:03

YRMOTB yep, tightie whities are all frayed from over use and packed away in the cupboard Grin. I wont be wearing polka dot ones again any time soon though as the other morning I got woken up by DS pointing to each dot and "counting" them: "one, two, free, semem, ocho, nueve, diez!" Bless his funny bilingual socks. Grin

Ladybee · 03/03/2011 20:03

ah izz I spent some time folding up my maternity clothes, that I'd just taken down from a cupboard, and sorting out various bathroom cupboards I've just had to deal with my TENS machine, the CBFM, and trying to workout what to do with my leftover clexane shots (I'm optimistically keeping them). DH came home to a very soggy Bee. Sad

Lovely that you're getting guinea pigs though, I'm really hoping that when we're settled in our new place we can get a kitten. DS has been feeding our CM's cats and he's so proud of that I think he'd really enjoy it now.

I took a little lurking look at the 'one-child family' thread this morning, but it just made me sad. I'm not ready to accept that as our family just yet, despite having spoken about the concept with DH and knowing just how lucky we are to have him. I was quite envious of the ladies there who have always known they only want one, though. I used to have 'Four' as my answer...can't see that happening.

Sorry, I know those trying for their first are probably gritting their teeth right now. I do know we've been incredibly lucky with DS, turns out he really was a 10% chance for me.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 03/03/2011 19:24

Ok then. SMEP and opk, no temping. My SIL is having a baby soon, and i've totally been giving all my stuff away, clothes, baby stuff, prams. It's making me very Sad in case I don't get to have another too.

chloe How are you doing?

mummya coloured knickers? woo hoo, get you xx

MummyAbroad · 03/03/2011 17:07

Hi Izz it might not feel like it because you are doing less this month, but its sounds like you are bang on track. You have said before that if you start SWI too early you both run out of energy at the crucial time, and here you are CD13 all rested and ready to go! Less is definitely moreGrin (Personally I would do the OPK's, but you know me I like having as much info as poss.) Have you decided to save up for testing then? xx

mouse I wiped away a tear thinking of you at your cremation service. Sad I hope it helped in some way. I'm fine. I have promised myself I will do more bloods if I have another bleed - but so far so good. To be honest I am not really worried about the very early stages (I am not even 5 weeks yet) because my mmc was a late one (14weeks), so I think I will be more worried later, especially after 8/9 weeks when the placenta is up and running fully.

Chloe55 · 03/03/2011 16:34

Izzy you have plenty of time to still be in with a chance this month. I used OPKS for the first time this month and I actually found them really useful and have put my mind at rest that I def ovulated. Not sure how I'd have felt if I didn't get a +ve from them though, would've prob just put it down to them being crap Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 03/03/2011 16:21

ladybee I'm glad you were well looked after, and hope over the next few days, weeks, months you see a way forward through the tricky milestones and key dates xx

yrmotb I couldn't quite bring myself to put ff on hold, although I haven't been on there at all, which makes it a waste of money, I know. We have fallen off the SMEP wagon atm, having only swi'd once on about cd9 and it's cd13 today, so if I want to stand any chance this month we need to get on with it. I usually ov on cd17 though so there's still time, I guess. I've been pondering the question of whether to use opks from cd14 to check ov happens at usual time or just to leave it and swi every other day until we get fed up. Have not touched the thermometer or cbfm though Grin

I started clearing out the playroom earlier and moved some more too-babyish toys into the spare room to join the pile of things waiting to go. Shed a few tears packing up some of the stuff that I remember ds getting for his first birthday (6.5 years ago!!) that him and dd have played with. I usually pretend the pile of baby toys/things aren't there but I did have a look at them today and it was a bit sad. I wonder if we'll ever use them again Sad

MummyAbroad · 03/03/2011 13:04

Hi LadyB Glad to hear the care was really good, hope the coming days weeks are not too rough on you. The ladies on the mother thread asked me if they thought you would rather be taken off the BFP list over there and I said you probably would (hope that was the right thing to do) so you are on WTTC over there, and i have added you on our list here

Ladybee · 03/03/2011 12:18

ha! Great minds...chloe, I have just had a row of dairy-milk Grin

Chloe55 · 03/03/2011 12:16

It's great to read some positivity in your post ladybee As far as lunch goes I hear chocolate is very good at mending broken hearts Wink

Ladybee · 03/03/2011 11:55

hi all, thanks very much for all the good wishes, it's lovely to see.
The ERPC was scheduled for 6 yesterday evening and it all went super smoothly, I was very impressed with the care at the private hospital. I've never had 'bad' care at an NHS hospital but it was striking to see what a difference it made in waiting times etc - I was in at 4:30 and home right on schedule at 9pm. No problems afterwards, a bit achey this morning and a sore throat but otherwise physically fine.

Emotionally, actually, I'm ok today and was ok yesterday too. Had a really bad day on Tuesday and big cry, which I think helped. I guess it builds up and breaks out doesn't it. You can't spend all day every day crying and now I know that it's not all the immediately aftermath but the weeks and months after that can be really tough. I'm struggling with the time frames and milestones already, knowing that I won't have a baby when another birthday and Christmas comes around is already making me feel sad (and my birthday is in November!)

Aye well. I DO have an enormous life change coming up and lots to do before that comes along. But not today. Today I am on the couch, watching day-time tv and thinking about what to have for lunch.

I think I'm going to put myself on a WTTC part of the common room list. Feel a bit lost without a list Blush

Chloe55 · 03/03/2011 09:47

Popping in to send my love to ladybee I hope you are getting lots of support and being looked after well at home.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 03/03/2011 08:50

Hello all.

bee hope you're tucked up and looking after yourself. Even better if someone else is able to do that for you, but not always possible, hey.

bb sorry that the anticipated closure/ plan of action wasn't forth-coming. Presumably they don't routinely check for NK cells on the NHS?

mouse glad it was peaceful and you got some time with DH. Good luck for the scan today.

izz in a way you have persuaded me. Thought I might just abandon the temping and follow SMEG plan again. Don't know if i'll just be extra stressy as won't know if ov on day, 20/22 or 26 or anything inbetween Confused I guess I haven't really decided. Have you put FF on hold?

How are you doing caribmoo? What's going on with work?

We used to have guinea pigs when I was younger called Elvis and Frogmella (fast show). They're really loud but quite affectionate.

battery yey for the bleeding! glad it went ok. When are you off, next week?

Waves to loola velvet mummya freezing jolls ali and nix and all lurkers.

nickstermum · 03/03/2011 06:32

special hugs for bee. Hope the EPRC went as smoothly as it could my lovely and you can start to try and recover xxxx

battery glad the HSG went well, i hope you arent too sore today xxx

Special squishes for mouse, it cant have been an easy day lovely, well done for getting through it x
