The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

Morning all

bee best of luck for your appointment today, hope it's not too hard for you, will be thinking of you x

battery hope Germanshagfestmission is going well Grin

Chloe Are you still in with a chance? Fingers crossed.

moo hope your tummy is better today lovely x

So I notice from updating list that we await news from wiggle and then jollipops, both of whom have been awfully quiet!!!!! Where are you ladies?!

HSG done yesterday and was surprisingly pain free; nothing unusual to report, apparently all looks fine, but she did say that there was a small mark on the side of my womb that could be scar tissue but that wouldn't have caused mc. Results appointment and pregnancy plan next Tues.

Did anyone see one born every minute on Mon? The lady on there had no DC, had 4 mc then conceived and carried to full term with her 5th, gave me a glimmer of hope!

Have a good day all x

Ladybee · 08/03/2011 21:33

ahhhh YRMOTB that's lovely. Well done your man.

Ladybee · 08/03/2011 21:30

caribou that's exactly it, I have been much worse on the days that I've been on my own in the house without DS or DH or friends to distract me. I was sad going in on the train, but the staring out the window is just another time to dwell on the sad thoughts.
Tomorrow I have an appointment at the anti-coag clinic, and I'm dreading having to tell someone that I lost the pregnancy, saying those words is still painful.
Work was fine, everyone was lovely, no big surprises or dodgy questions. The only thing is working as I do in a large female-dominated company there are an extraordinary number of bumps around, but actually I don't mind seeing them. I just wish I had one (that wasn't cake-related).

CaribouMoo · 08/03/2011 20:05

I haven't been on for days, so got a lot of catching up to do. Huge congrats YRMOTB!! That's excellent news, I'm so pleased for you. As others have said, set a date, buy a beautiful dress and you'll defintely get updiffed before then! Well done pal, what a lovely thing to look forward too and your ring sounds pefect x

Bee hope you have been doing ok, can't believe you're going back to work already. Although you need time initially both times I found it helped going back because left at home with my own thoughts I would weep all day and get into a state. Just make sure you put yourself first and don't struggle on if it is too soon.

Mouse, sorry you had more bad news - hope you're doing better now. What a miserable thing to happen and more for you to endure.

Will catch up on everyone's news soon. Had a bit of a dicky tum last few days so haven't been on the PC much, hope you're all well x

Youremindmeofthebabe · 08/03/2011 08:47

chloe it's only 10DPO- all hope is not yet lost! I know what you mean about feeling deflated though- hugs.

yay for mummya's HCG levels! And I love the fact you have a graph. That's ace...

So, detailsGrin
Yes, he had a ring, it's second hand/vintage/antique- whatever you want to call it! Tis like a flower with a small sapphire in the middle and then diamonds set around the edge and some cut out bits. It's white gold. It's lovely actually, I'm really proud of him! And he asked me after we'd had a lovely dinner, with perhaps a little too much wine.. And he only tripped over his words a littleSmile If I can take a better pic than the one I've taken with the Iphone (which is just blurry) then i'll put it on my profile here.

ladybee good luck for work today. Thinking of you.

Right, best go do some work!

Chloe55 · 08/03/2011 08:08

Congrats yrmotb I want the full story, warts and all! Grin

Lady Just try and take some time yourself before going back and if you don't feel ready then don't push it, work will have to wait.

mummyA Great news with your figures going up, so pleased things are going smoothly for you.

Ali try and hold in there and remain relatively sane Wink I think you have amazing willpower to hold out for your scan but I totally understand why you have.

Battery That was very insensitive of your friend Angry I, have also been told I will be having twins by a medium so I guess it might be a generic thing they say to a lot of people Grin

Loola Hope you have built up some stamina, it nearly killed me swi everyday for 3 days! Grin

Izzy I used to have a couple of guinea pigs, I went away one night leaving mum to look after them and my dogs, when I came home she hadn't closed the run properly, needless to say the guinea pigs were no more after the dogs had a little jaunt in the garden Sad Obviously that won't happen to yours those Grin

Well I am 10dpo and still BFN Sad On a brighter note the consultant has said I can continue on the Clomid for another 6-8 months so my time bracket has widened a little. I was just so convinced this month, I know there's still time but I just feel so deflated today.

Ladybee · 07/03/2011 22:50

oooohhh, I love a good engagement story - details please! Congratulations - really great news!

I'm gearing myself up to go back to work tomorrow, I've got other leave booked next week and I think it's time I try to rejoin the world. The thought is scaring me, and I know I'll probably weep on the train in and out of the city but hopefully being in the office will help me to hold it all together.

I've got to get some HPTs to start testing post-ERPC, I've got one, it's the other one from the pack of two that I used to test for my last pregnancy - I never tested again. Just feels too sad to use that one, don't know why.

mamapower · 07/03/2011 22:32

Congratulations yrmotb Hip hip hoooray Grin Grin Grin Details please missey Grin

Izzy are you still following the SMEP?

Mouse hope you are recovering and being looked after Smile

Battery great news that your trip to Germany will allow for some well timed SWI Grin Have fun Wink

lady how are you doing?

MummyAbroad · 07/03/2011 22:30

HCG results are in and its nice high figures Grin last week it was 59.1, then two days later 117.6 and now its 8211. I am having fun plotting little graphs with the HCG calculator Grin So I have satisfied myself that this pregnancy is neither molar nor ectopic and is off to a good start. Hopefully this good feeling will hold out another week or two and then I'll get scanned.

battery best of luck for your German Mission. Smile

Izzy keep up the good work, no slacking now!!Grin

YRMOTB yeah, we want more details please!

batteryhen · 07/03/2011 19:59

babe lovely news Grin. You know you will find a gorgeous dress and then get pg and not be able to fit into it!! Can we have more details please such as ring - where he did it - what did he say [soppy emoticon]

loola I felt a bit faint when you suggested that izzy was SWI 3 times a day! Shock it would seem we are trying to keep up with knitter Wink

Any figures yet mummyA ?

Hi to mouse and lady hope you both are plodding on ok xx

Waves to everyone else BB and freezing

I know I have missed lots of people so big wave to you all xx

I have just got home - put the cat in the cattery and am packing to head off to germany tomorrow. I am quite smug about my planning - I got a high on my CBFM today so I should have a couple of those then get a peak on wednesday or thursday - so I will be in [ahem] position so to speak. This is the first time we have really been together right at OV time since our last MC so fingers crossed!!

loola2shus · 07/03/2011 19:03

Grin Izzy I thought you must have been taking lessons from her!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/03/2011 18:58

3 a day?! Blimey loola , I'm not knitter !! Grin

What I meant was, I am at the part of SMEP where you swi every day for three days after a positive opk. [feels quite dull emoticon]

loola2shus · 07/03/2011 18:55

DOO DOO DU DOO.... DOO DOO DU DOooOoOoooo!!!!

Thats the wedding march BTW! Grin Fab news yrm CONGRATULATIONS! Oooh I can't wait to get my virtual hat Wink

Izzy Is that 3 SWI every day?? Shock I was impressed with my (very rare)2 yesterday!

Velvetcu · 07/03/2011 18:50

Big congrats yrmotb how exciting Grin did he have a ring ready? What's it like?

Freezingmyarseoff · 07/03/2011 14:18

Woo hoo to YRMOTB. That's so lovely. Oh I love a good wedding to talk about Grin

AliTheMinx · 07/03/2011 14:04

Good luck with blood test, mummya xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

AliTheMinx · 07/03/2011 14:03

Woohooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! So happy for you, babes What fantastic news! Really happy for you and it's often when you have something else to focus on that things happen, so fingers crossed!

Can't believe the story about the twins and the medium. How insensitive... gah!!!!!

Would like to say I'm being cool and collected but not sure that's entirely true! Am glad I postponed scan but can't help worrying about every twinge... am driving myself mad! Have awful cold/flu at the mo, so have spent all weekend and today in bed, and that's a lot of time just to think...which isn't always a good thing. Have not allowed myself to open my pregnancy bag which I packed away after my last MC aand get out my pregnancy book. So worried about tempting fate... so it's just a waiting game. A looooooong waiting game!

Waves, hugs and jaffa cakes to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

nickstermum · 07/03/2011 13:30

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS !

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 07/03/2011 13:23

yrmotb woo-hooooooo!!!!!! Big congrats, lovely, what a fab weekend!! Grin Grin Grin

I am on (I think!) cd17 today, starting opks an day 14 and got a smiley face yesterday so don't have to poas for the rest of the month (3 must be an all time low record for me!) and am in the middle of my 3 every day swi for SMEP. Like you, I actually prefer the 2ww (or in my case 7-10 days!) and find it much less stressful than the first half of the cycle so am starting to chill out even more Smile

I have nothing as exciting as you to report, but we have found two lovely baby guinea pigs who will be coming to live with us at the end of March Grin

battery > that's for you!!! I can't believe your friend is getting excited about mythical twins predicted by someone who claims to talk to ghosts Hmm - serious reality check needed!!! Take a deep breath and remind yourself it's all imaginary!

MummyAbroad · 07/03/2011 13:06

YRMOTB Congratulations!! GrinGrin How exiting!! What a lovely proposal too!! Did he get down on one knee? I think you should rush to set a date and buy a dress and then you are BOUND to end up 9 months preggas on the dayGrin

broken one lady got taken off and then piped up that she wanted to stay on, the other two havent ever made contact but I did once put a link to this thread so they could. I think I should have chosen a better name for the stats thread ("Stats thread" would have been goodHmm) as its obviously confused some people.

lurkers if you are out there, feel free to jump into the conversation anytime Smile or update yourselves when AF/BFP comes.

battery Owch, insensitive friend! smugness about pregnancies (even if they are only ones predicted by mediums) is the worst. I can relate to twin jealousy though, I have secret fantasies about having twins all the time - I am pretty sure the reality is very be much tougher and not really sure if I would like it in real life - but its my favourite escapist daydream.

I am "treating myself" to another blood test today Confused SmileGrin

brokenbarrenbrook · 07/03/2011 13:00

Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! Congrats lovely! Xxx

Youremindmeofthebabe · 07/03/2011 12:47

Hello peeps.

bb I think they're lurkers. At least one of them has had multiple mc'sSad poor lady.

batteryhen There you go! The important points I'm picking up from your post is a) single friend and b) MEDIUM! But you know this already, so instead have a hug and a bitch about the Medium and slight insensitivity of said friend instead.

ali that sounds very "in order" to me. LMP is so crazily wrong so often. Glad you're not getting too worked up about it, you shouldn't waste energy worrying about things beyond your control.

Hello freezing Nice to hear from you. Glad you're ok re the RTD.

mummya Glad it's all going swimmingly for you. you really deserve it. I too have decided to lie to doctors re LMP. If when I ever get there.

izz How's it going? are you 2ww yet and did you catch anything on the one Ov stick per day? I've not even started yet. Lots of SFF though so far. It's not the usual 2ww that I hate, it's the 2ww I have to have before I ov and after my period has finished. I can handle the regular 2ww!

Waves to everyone else

In other news, I have been away this weekend staying In a Hotel Du Vin in York, which was ace as a birthday treat, and we went to a beautiful Parisienne bistro for our tea, and afterwards, DP PROPOSED!!!! So I am getting married!! So excited, and a teeny bit nervous! To those of you on my Bookface, please don't out us yet, We've got so many people to tell that we would like to tell personally before I put it on FB. SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile SmileSmileSmile

batteryhen · 07/03/2011 08:51

bb I too have noticed this - no idea there sorry! I need to add myself but I don't like seeing myself up and down all the time if you get my meaning.

Big wave to all, just at work so quick post.

I do need a big slap please - I have entered the world of complete madness and lunacy. A single friend of mine has been told by a medium woman that she is going to have twins. My single friend is really excited and quite smug about this (knowing I lost twins last year doesn't enter into her head) I am quite Envy of this twins thing.

I mean REALLY though - she has been told this by a woman talking to dead people. How stupid am I ??

brokenbarrenbrook · 07/03/2011 07:31

Morning all, have just updated common room list

Freezingmyarseoff · 06/03/2011 23:52

Haven't been on for a while as trying to distract myself, so very sorry to hear what a crap time you've been having Mouse. Take care of yourself my love

Bee like everyone else says, you are amazingly strong. Thank you for giving me positivity too.

BB sorry to hear you're preoccupied. I do know what you mean about staying away from here a little bit.

Ali Glad the scan was ok. I know it wasn't as reassuring as you hoped but you do sound very calm and realistic about dates. I hope I can be calm as you sound if I ever get a BFP

AF turned up this morning and I'm surprisingly calm about it Confused

Waves to battery, YRMOTB, Velvet, Chloe, Mamapower, Izzy, MummyA & everyone as must get some sleep.
