The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

notsobarrenmorebrokenbrook · 05/01/2011 15:50

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

And chocolate. Plenty of tasty iron-filled chocolate.

Izzy your poor sis - the vino sounds like it was utterly neccessary. Nothing like a proper night out to clear your head (or in your case, fill it with cotton wool and angry bees the next morning, I suspect) Grin

mamapower · 12/03/2011 15:37

wiggle sorry you have an anxious wait over the weekend (((hugs)))

AR I've left you messages on other thread hon but you were asking here about natural mc; My first was a natural mc. Your body will hopefully do all it has to do hon, you'll pass a lot of blood and a few clots but the scan on Monday will confirm that your body is doing what it should, if they are concerned that the mc is not completing properly they'll offer you either medical or surgical intervention. big hugs, take care and another tip, you lose a lot of blood with a natural mc so get yourself a really really good iron supplement and I also found a tonic helped my body too xxx

Youremindmeofthebabe · 12/03/2011 14:17

Thinking of you both, aandr and wiggle. Sorry that you seem to be having to go through this again.

mousebacon · 12/03/2011 11:54

Sometimes the hangover is totally worth it izzy you definately deserved a good night out. Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 12/03/2011 11:10

Oh god ((( wiggle ))) and ((( aandr ))) big hugs to both of you Sad I will be hoping and praying that you are wrong and your fears prove to be unfounded but I know how hard it can be to keep hoping.

ladybee I hope you are coping, it's so horrible waiting for that test to go -ve Sad

I'm keeping it brief because I'm horrendously hungover this morning - went out with my sister last night. To be fair we needed a blow-out; realised yesterday we've lost 6 babies between us; 5 in the last year (her story is, sadly, worse than mine). It was the realisation that led to mucho vino Confused

mousebacon · 12/03/2011 09:24

I'm so sorry to hear your news A&R I really hope it's good news on Monday but I know how hard it is to stay positive. You too wiggle Im pleased you're being properly monitored. Good luck for Monday.

My boss knows everything about what's been going on. This is just how she reacts when she feels under pressure - she takes it out on other people Sad

Have got DS a proper big boy bed and it's being delivered today so I get to take him out for coffee (me) and cake (me and ds) while dh builds it as a suprise Grin. Ah the simple things in life.

Hope you're feeling better soon freezing

batteryhen · 12/03/2011 08:57

a and R You come in and snuggle down with us. Poor you - I really know how you feel as do the other ladies on here. I know you were asking about testing on the other thread. I have included the link to the web page that my gp used when starting me off on tests. See if you find it helpful (no rush though - take time), but am sending you lots of hugs too x I have never MC naturally but I don't think they give you any meds, but also if the pain or bleeding gets too much you must go to A+E or at least call them for advice if you are worried.

tests

wiggle crap news too :( I hope it's a random dip - but am sending thoughts and love your way too. xx

lady how long is it since your ERPC and have you had another scan at all?

Sorry can't name check more - must get a move on and get washed and dressed. Big waves to everyone else. xx

AandRMum · 12/03/2011 08:27

Hi All! Can I sneak back in and pop into the gloomy corner? It seems I am mcing again? Can't quite believe it is happening. Last time was an ERPC so I am not sure what to expect with a natural mc. Do I have to take a drug or something to kick it off properly or can it sort itself out? No pain or cramping just loads of blood. Sad
I have scan booked for Monday so hopefully they will be able to sort out whatever needs to happen.

freezing hope hosp isn't too grim - how crap to be in there. Make sure you download all sorts of apps.

mouse does your boss know what you have been through? What a cow.

bee hope your body sorts itself out - it is always such a long wait to get the all clear bfn. I completely get your thoughts on TTC. I feel like we should take the time to work out if there is something wrong but at the same time I don't want to miss an opportunity.

wiggle hope your stats go up.

randomimposter · 12/03/2011 07:38

Oh wiggle so sorry you've got this worry :(. On the up-side at least you're being managed/in good hands. I had that MC/DD clash last Feb, when I had an MMC confirmed 4 days before EDD, and actually MC 2 days after it, so I get your sadness. In some ways it's best to just think of them as dates, they happen every day and they're just numbers [trying to be upbeat and supportive emoticon]. Squeeze for you today x

Wave to everyone else; better check the sausages... x

MummyAbroad · 12/03/2011 00:12

oh getawiggle I'm sorry its not reassuring newsSad I really hope some kind of terrible mistake has been made and Mondays results turn out alright! The thought of miscarrying on your dd is so awful let us know how the home test goes. HTH xxx

getawiggleon · 11/03/2011 23:07

Thanks for all the good wishes ladies. It seems that the BFP was v well timed in terms of being monitored by the clinic. I had hcg done yesterday and came back at 53, did blood test again today though and it has dropped to 45. Doesn't look good does it? Sad

I will go back on Mon to test again (will prob try home test on Sun too) but am preparing myself for bad news. I could end up miscarrying the week of my dd, a double whammy Sad

On the positive side, if this one hasn't stuck at least the clinic can see at which point it has failed (I have a feeling my last mc didn't go much past the early weeks too) so this may help for future pgs.

I'm also having full immunes done on Mon. Ah well, I enjoyed the feeling of being pg for the 48 hours it lasted?.

Sorry for not doing proper catch up. Hugs to all those needing them tonight x

Freezingmyarseoff · 11/03/2011 21:58

Ladybee oh poor you, I (& everyone) know how you feel, you describe the worries & fears so well. Big hugs to you. Keep taking care of yourself - we're here for you too

infection isn't great but at least drs know what the problem is now so that's good at least. I was terrified it was a complication of my arthritis & would have to change medication to bad stuff that would mean not being able to TTC. but it's not so am SO relieved, I'll take a w/e in hosp for that no complaints.

Night night all, have a good w/e.

owlbooty · 11/03/2011 18:12

Blimey I have missed loads Shock

Bee I hope you find something good to do this weekend, you deserve Very Nice Things Indeed.

Mouse I truly wish we could round up a posse on your behalf. Absolutely unbelievable. Can you hire a muckspreader and redecorate your boss's house? I think that would be fair.

Wiggle Yay!!!!! May this be the most boring 9 months ever. :)

Izzy I am in awe of your will-power, I just look at chocolate and have to eat it :)

Chloe55 · 11/03/2011 14:33

Oh ladybee big ((hugs)) from here. What you have just written is so on point. You definitely deserve to do something fun this weekend.

Ladybee · 11/03/2011 14:28

Freezing Shock how do you feel? Gosh that is a serious infection to have got hold of you, no wonder you were feeling rubbish. Poor you being in on the weekend...it IS a good thing you've got a lovely new toy to play with. I hope you'll be able to take it easy when they release you too?

battery hooray for being in the right spot/right time! Fingers crossed for you.

Damn, did my test this morning and it's still a clear +ve. Knocked the stuffing out of me a bit, although at least I've gone back to just spotting now so getting somewhere I guess (not sure where). Have mostly been staring out of windows today, and then getting up to walk around as my back is v sore. Might take a painkiller seeing i can. It's so odd knowing I've got HCG in my system but being back in the limbo stage. It feels so familiar, sadly, that feeling of waiting, wanting to start again but dreading starting to try again. Knowing I should give it a break but desperately just wanting to be pg again even with all the fear and risk of suffering another loss. It feels so much like a lottery at the moment, if I get pg or not, and if that pg remains or not. And how can I win if I'm not 'playing'? Oh well, weekend is here. Time to plan something fun I think.

Freezingmyarseoff · 11/03/2011 14:07

Hi ladies
Have been lurking on my iPhone but not managing to do a proper catch up post. am on phone now so this might be a bit scrambled

I think I will be here for a couple of days. Thank goodness for my lovely dh who bought me an iPhone a few weeks ago

mamapower · 11/03/2011 13:14

Gorgeous ring yrmotb have you set a date yet? No change here, morn sickness is all day sickness in my case (and on some occasions all night), but I don't care... in fact it's quite reassuring! Looking forward to having you all on the other side mentalling with us sooooon Grin

Have a good weekend all Smile

batteryhen · 11/03/2011 09:56

morning all:)

mouse it is a shame when you have to go down the union route, however, thats is what they are there for, and if this person is bullying you or making you feel that way then it needs to stop.

lady you do right to listen to your body. Try to have a relaxing day and weekend :)

babe that is some bling and is very pretty :)

hello to loola moo MummyA , izzy and wiggle - is that line darker today?

I got a nice peak on my monitor today - so I am pleased I am in the right place at the right time for once!

Happy Friday everyone!

mousebacon · 10/03/2011 21:48

Thank you so much for all the support - I really appreciate it. I feel like I'm going insane sometimes. I really need to start writing things down with dates etc.

I think the time has come to ring the union. Ugh. I never thought it would come to this...

Thanks for the recommendation about the employment boards I'll head over there now ttt (hope you're feeling well) x

Congratulations wiggle I hope you see that line getting darker in the next few days Smile

xxxxxxxxxxxx

Ladybee · 10/03/2011 21:28

That's a very pretty ring YRMOTB - are you still floating?

wiggle gosh, that sounds very exciting, can I congratulate you?

I thought I was on the "things are calming down after the ERPC" stretch - had several days of bleeding, then several days of spotting, thought I was going to able to mark my first day of nothing and then whammo, heavy flow again after work this evening. I am taking it as a sign to take it a bit more easy, so have invited a friend around tomorrow, and will just do a half day at home. I did go and buy some tests (they're so expensive when you just get them at a Boots Shock) so will do one tomorrow at 10 days post-erpc. If it's showing -ve or very light +ve then I think I won't take the clexane. Think my overall risk of a clot is quite small, having not suffered one (or had any placenta problems with DS).

Will also make the phone calls tomorrow to check out recurrent MC testing on private insurance. I have a GP appt lined up for next week so will be good know one way or another what is possible for referral from that.

battery you made me grin with the monitor at the airport story. I'm dreading packing for our flight to NZ, I can't put all that stuff in the shipping container as it will take forever for it to arrive. It needs to go with me, but it's going to look so very odd. Grin

CaribouMoo · 10/03/2011 21:23

Congrats to you Wiggle that's fab news! Hope you're keeping the head in these early days.

I'm still a little ropey here with my dodgy bum bother. Seems like its easing off though, tummy is very sore. Called the doc today for advice to make sure the wee man will be ok, which she assures will be the case. Poor DD was vomitting yesterday so its doing the rounds YRMOTB - hope your DS gets better soon.

loola2shus · 10/03/2011 17:50

Hi all just a quick wave as I have had a crappy week and just want pjs and wine asap!

congratulations wiggle fantastic news!

love the ring YRM

mouse you're boss amazes me Shock

Will 'speak' to you all soon x

MummyAbroad · 10/03/2011 15:08

Hello ladies

mouse I agree with the others, get some advice asap about your boss. I know its probably the last thing you feel like doing, but even if you dont want to take action just yet, being informed about what your rights are, what she can/cant do, should make you feel more empowered. The lack of sympathy this woman is expressing is just staggering, I really hope someone puts her right soon.

YRMOTB your ring looks lovely! Hope you are enjoying showing it off Smile

YRMOTB Battery I can report that nausea has reared its ugly head over here. Its my least favourite symptom - I had hyperemis with the mmc pregnancy but not with DS, so it had very unfavourable connotations for me.

wiggle how is day 2? Are you getting a stronger line (took about 4 days for me to get a "decent" line, but by then I had done a blood test!)

big wave to all posters and lurkers Smile

Youremindmeofthebabe · 10/03/2011 14:08

Mouse I am totally Shock and Angry on your behalf, re your boss. Even though she hasn't really got a leg to stand on, I don't imagine, she is making what should be your recovery time fraught. What a cow.

izz Hello! I am only cd11 so still another 10 days til ov, but will start opk in a day or 2.Silly long cycles. Will do smeg plan again.I've got something to plan now though which is lovely and may just take my mind off it a bit!

wiggle wooohooo! Congratulations! Yey for the BFP.

My profile on here now has a blurry picture of my ring on it. It's not the best, but you get the idea.

blackat thanks! u ok?

nix mamap and ma hows the other side? Anything to report?

battery go go with the DeutscheShagFest. It sounds a bit like a mullet(hair) festival to me when we call it that. Don't know why..

Having an impromptu day off as ds has been vomiting all day. bless him, he cant even move without throwing up somewhere. Hope you're all vomit free out there!

mamapower · 10/03/2011 12:25

Mouse that is shocking just shocking! Your boss is a fuckwit of the highest order! If you're in a union take advice otherwise seek employment advice perhpas initially through ACAS.

wiggle congratulations Grin Grin Grin
