The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

Sorry for the crap typing

Freezingmyarseoff · 14/03/2011 15:20

Welcome pinkie, sorry that you're here though IYKWIM

Not a great start to the week for many people, I'm sorry. I'm not always very good at choosing the right words but I'm really thinking of you all and wanting to wave a magic wand and make all better.

I found out today that a friend I've slightly lost touch with has just twins. They also have a 5 yo girl & have trying for many years to have another child. She had a very dramatic ectopic pregnancy followed by several miscarriages and fertility problems. They had just about convinced themselves that they were very lucky to have 1 child when they found out they were having twins. Of course the pregnancy had it own trials & tribulations but now they have their dreams come true. It has given me fresh hope that we'll all get there eventually. Just wanted to share that with you.

After an somewhat interesting (but also rather dull weekend in hospital I am much better. I just need the drs to agree with me & let me go home.

Waves& hugs to all x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 14/03/2011 13:49

brokenbarrenbrook · 14/03/2011 11:31

Chloe the list is the common room list, I'd do the link thing but am retarded when it comes to doing it on my phone. I think its on first page of conception x

Chloe55 · 14/03/2011 11:07

Oh pinkie what a horrible thing to happen Sad Welcome to the thread.

Jollster Sorry AF got you again this month.

Loola How are you feeling today? Is the gloomy place still beckoning? I hope not.

Barren What a Sad day at the park. Well done for going along though, I bet your dns had lots of fun and enjoyed spending time with you.

Morning everybody else.

I am sat in my gloomy place in bed as AF is a killer again this month and the Clomid is making me feel drained and lightheaded. I was so hoping not to have to take the horrid stuff again this month Sad

Can someone point me in the direction of the list please?

brokenbarrenbrook · 14/03/2011 09:01

Arsicles all round by the sounds of things jollipops, sad for you and so sorry to hear about wiggles worrying time and sad news from A&R too. Life is being rather a bitch at the moment! Sad Angry

Hope you're all doing ok. Had a bad day Friday as was with niece and nephew at park which was fine, until others joined us with their kids and it was just me with no kids. I felt like the barren old Aunt. I had to excuse myself and go to the toilets as I could feel myself welling up. Not a good place to be.

Love to everyone and welcome to pinkie, we're not usually this downbeat, honest! Sorry you are here but glad you have found us.

Have a good day all x

randomimposter · 13/03/2011 23:26

just popped in

CD1 for me today. Arsicles.

Have updated list for tomorrow; thinking of A&R and wiggle and hoping tomorrow brings some resolutions for your worries. What a sad time :(

Hi to all x

loola2shus · 13/03/2011 21:56

Quick hugs for A&R & Wiggle Thinking of you both xx

I am in the gloomy place today so no proper catch up... just going to go to bed and mope Sad love to all x

Ladybee · 13/03/2011 15:16

10 hours oh my god how gutting - so you went for a scan, saw a heartbeat and then started bleeding? Life can be so cruel sometimes. Poor you pinkie.

getawiggleon I've got my fingers crossed for lab error too, or just random oddness, really hope you see a good rise.

AandR I'm so sorry, that seemed to happen very quickly. How are you feeling today? Are you holding out any hope at all that it was just an awful and substantial bleed or do you feel in yourself that it's definitely over?

I think I'm on about day 11-12 post ERPC and I think maybe the spotting is stopping now - although went shopping today and am knackered which spark another round.

pinkie08 · 13/03/2011 13:29

Hi all can I join you lot.

I have a 10 year old and a 15 month old. Had 2 mcs since the 15 month old. My new doc has said progesterone and aspirin on next +Ive and I am just waiting for my 2nd af since the last one. I hate the whole process. I want to test just in case, am scared to test just in case and then would be back on the roller coaster of knickers checking and panicking at every twinge but would love to have another baby.

My last mc was 10 hours after we saw a heartbeat so really heart wrenching

Chloe55 · 13/03/2011 13:21

Oh no wiggle & A&R I hope so much that you both pull through this weekend and don't get any bad news next week Sad I am thinking of you both, just take it easy and we will all keep our fingers crossed.

CaribouMoo · 13/03/2011 11:26

I'm really sorry to read more sad news on here, its not been a great few weeks for our MN chums. A&R so sorry to hear what you're going through. Both my MCs were missed so can't give any advice on a natural MC but hope you're not in too much physical pain. Take care of yourself x

Wiggle sorry that you are having a worrying time too. It must be even harder to have to go through this with your due date looming, I know how much pessure we all put on ourselves with dates and milestones. Be thinking of you tomorrow x

Hope everyone else is well x

MummyAbroad · 12/03/2011 22:20

Good luck wiggle I do hope its a freaky lab error - or vanishing twin syndrome (HCG drops a little then rises normally) I will keep everything crossed for you.

cep · 12/03/2011 22:18

I'm so sorry aandr that you're going through this again.
wiggle fx the tests go in the right direction next time.

getawiggleon · 12/03/2011 21:59

Mummy My mum was great and will be very supportive. She's offered to come down at the drop of a hat if I need her to which is great as the clinic is known for being pretty intense!

They took progesterone at same time but not sure what those numbers were. My temps have stayed v high though so I'm guessing that the progesterone is still churning away!

I was surprised that they wanted to test again so soon (it was just less than 24 hours). I thought that a test today would have given a better indication. If the numbers hadn't risen much I probably wouldn't be quite so worried but the fact is the numbers had dropped. I'm praying it was a freak lab error but expecting the worst tbh. More blood will be drawn on Mon and I should get results the same day x

Freezingmyarseoff · 12/03/2011 19:59

Big hugs to wiggle and AandR. Thinking of you both. I second the hot water bottle & paracetamol.

MummyAbroad · 12/03/2011 19:47

Getawiggle Glad you have someone in RL who can give you support - I personally think the whole "mc before 12 weeks must be kept secret" thing makes it all much harder to bear, hope your mum was able to offer lots of support. I believe its a drop in progesterone that actually makes you bleed, rather than falling HCG. Its not very common to get your progesterone level tested though, and even if you did it would probably be very hard to predict what would happen next. I imagine it will take more than one low HCG result to be able to classify this pregnancy as "unviable" but if it is confirmed then you could ask for medical management (the drug cytotec does bring on the mc) if you didnt want to wait to mc naturally. Wiggle, can I ask, why were your blood tests done 24 hours apart and not 48? Is your next lot of blood being drawn on Monday or are you getting results from a blood draw thats already been done? Take care xxx

nickstermum · 12/03/2011 19:38

(((AR))) my natural MC was pretty pain free hon... just tons of blood and large clots. Hot water bottle and paracetamol helped the light cramps as the uterus did what it needed to do. Am gutted for you pal... x

(((wiggles))) shitty you are having this worry hon, good you are being closely monitored. Everything crossed for good news xx

getawiggleon · 12/03/2011 19:32

Thanks YRMOTB

Your ring is beautiful by the way x Smile

Youremindmeofthebabe · 12/03/2011 18:56

I don't really know wiggle Presumably the dropping HCG is what causes your body to mc naturally, rather than in a MMC where your hcg is still high. I'm just guessing though. Glad you could tell your mum, it's good to have someone to chat to. Sending you strength for Monday x

getawiggleon · 12/03/2011 17:00

Thanks for all your thoughts ladies, it means a lot. Smile

Just had a call from my Mum as she knew it was my dd this week and was wondering how I was feeling. Ended up telling her everything, it was hard not to.

Have dull tummy ache but no bleeding and tests obv still positive (now cursing them all for being so sensitive as even if levels have dropped further the tests I have will still pick them up!)

Also keep bursting into tears which reminds me of last time, it feels like I have no control over the tears.

If levels have gone down again on Mon will they be able to give me something to bring on mc or do I have to wait? I'm worried my body will do what it did last time and carry on because it thinks I am still pg.

Collie2 · 12/03/2011 16:53

just read your really sad news A&R on the other thread but didn't want to post there. I'm so sorry this is happening to you, it's just so cruel. Thinking of you and your OH. X

wiggle I hope your worries are proven wrong.
