The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

Hey Tigger well done you! You've waited so long for this, hope you have a very dull 8 months ahead. A squish for Digi too, its rotten pal what you've been through, and our other chums BB and Jolls. Rooting for you all to get some well deserved good news soon.

Orange I've been following your story across the threads and saw you've had some more bleeding again. Can't imagine the stress you must be under, just keeping thinking of the positive news you've had already - all the best for your scan x

OrangeGloss · 20/01/2011 07:04

Congrats Tigger fx for your scan

((( digi ))) sorry you're still waiting I hope it isn't too much longer for you

clareanna · 19/01/2011 23:49

tigger wonderful to hear from you- fantastic news! Keep us posted on how you get on and maybe see you on the other thread?

digi big hugs to you x

digitalgirl · 19/01/2011 22:18

Wow! Huge long awaited and much deserved congrats to Tigger. Am so pleased for you!

And congrats to mamap too.

I would like a bfp too please. I'm feeling left behind. It's been 17 months of TTC, 3 mc's and never being pg on a due date.

NewImprovedJollster · 19/01/2011 21:35

Aww Tigger - that's truly BRILLIANT.
Am really chuffed for you, I know it's been a tough old road. may the next 8 months be so dull x

tigger15 · 19/01/2011 21:33

BB - I just wanted to add that I'm at st mary's too. They screwed me around with booking the hsg in august and after the third time in which the only dates I could be offered were past the time they could do it in my cycle, but I should hold off sex anyway in case one came free, I asked if it would be quicker if I slit my wrists. Strangely enough she called back a few minutes later and said she'd moved around someone else to a later date so I could have the hsg done in time. My sister who is married to a dr informed me this wouldn't have pushed me up the waiting list as they'd have insisted I see psych first Grin

I hope you find it easier to make an appt.

tigger15 · 19/01/2011 20:11

Just wanted to pop in to say that after 22 cycles have had a BFP. Can't quite believe it. Am trying not to think about it. The lovely hospital has booked me for a scan at 6 weeks and wants to see me asap (oh the joys of being high risk on non-mc grounds). I think I'm going to pretend it isn't happening until after the scan. The last one was mmc at 9 weeks but apparently it was a failure to implant at 5 1/2 weeks so hopefully the scan should remove that worry.

Hoping the rest of you and particularly BB gets something similar soon.

OrangeGloss · 18/01/2011 16:22

Thanks CaribouMoo I'm really tempted just to be put out of my misery. I spoke to MW yesterday and she said they were waiting to give the best chance of seeing something. She seemed upbeat that i hadn't bled since still got symptoms and developed sore boobs/mild nausea last week

Gaaaahh I want to know, but am scared it won't be conclusive

I'm sorry for your losses, but so pleased you are so far along this time, though I can imagine you won't relax until after the birth

CaribouMoo · 17/01/2011 20:14

BB step away from the internet - we all know no good ever comes from that. Its shit that you have the wait for news, I can see why that would be driving you mental. Hang on in there pal x I can second Nix's advice on MummyA and her knowledge on the subject.

Orange I've gone for 2 private scans with this pregnancy now and they are worth every penny. My 2nd MMC was also discovered at a private scan, I was driving myself nuts waiting for the next NHS one. If you need one, and can afford it, you go for it. I was making myself ill with worry and am glad on all occaisons that I went for a private scan. You are still having good symptoms though, aren't you?

MamaP an extra big whoop for you on this thread too! Still smiling for you.

Jolls here's a big cuddle for you, you're obviously having a hard time of it. The due date thing is a nightamre, as well as the ridiculous self-imposed targets we make. Even worse when there is more than one due date. I really struggled over Christmas with the anniversary of discovering the first MMC, even though I am lucky enough to be pregnant again. I know how hard those dates are when you're not pregnant and have had another MC in between times. Really hope you get some good news soon x

Hope all the rest of the gang are well x

nickstermum · 17/01/2011 08:25

You are starting to get some answers.. that in itself is something to work with. Totally agree, sit tight and see what the hsg shows up. MummyAbroad is a great lady to discuss scar tissue etc with, and full of knowledge if you felt you needed any guidance! (aka OracleMummy!) Everything crossed you get yourself some answers xxx

OrangeGloss · 17/01/2011 07:54

Mamap I'll congratulate you here too cos it's such flippin awesome news Grin

BB how did your research go?

I still have another week to wait for my scan, and getting so desperate I'm considering private again. Must wait....must wait....

mamap woo hoo! What lovely news to start the day with, congratulations on the bfp and the restaurant! Wonderful! Grin

How's everyone else doing? bee how are you getting on? All still good? jollipops big squish for you, diffdom will be yours soon, I predict Feb! In the meantime here's hoping for some regular cycles Smile

So, i've discovered adenomyosis (thanks to gillygirl and an endo website) is essentially endometriosis but in the muscles in the wall of the womb. Apparently it can form in scar tissue from previous erpcs etc. Brilliant. The only way it can be truly diagnosed is to have hysterectomy and examine womb Shock I guess I just have to sit tight and see what the hsg shows when St Mary's can fit me in. I'm trying not to let despondency slip in so a fish slap or 10 would be helpful Grin

Wave to Clare, pretty, viv, digi, notupduffybuffy, meita and anyone else I may have missed x

Mamapower · 16/01/2011 10:11

Thanks Clare and Jolls been a crazy old week... hoping I'm on a roll of good luck Grin

Jolls ... my dd is Monday and it is a crushing thought that I wouldn't be diffed by then, and I felt exactly the same, I was consumed and have been so lucky to get my bfp jus 2 days before... fx crossed for you Smile

NewImprovedJollster · 16/01/2011 08:04

Hey MamaP - BIG congrats to you - and Tenterden is great news too Grin. All this excitement at once!

And nickster good to see you - hope all is dull with you?

Trust everyone else is diddling ok.

Mid way through 2ww here, am CD20 today. Don't feel remotely pregnant, am symptomless! TBH just having a decent length cycle would be a result, last month was 27 days after 2 22 day cycles. Am mindful I have a due date coming up at the end of Feb, and if I'm not pg that would be a bit :(. But determined not to get all consumed by things. Famous last words Hmm.

Right have sausages to cook - tarra x

clareanna · 15/01/2011 20:52

Hurrah! New restaurant, new home, new baby!!
Fantastic news - hope you are feeling ok- fingers crossed for you Grin

clareanna · 14/01/2011 17:36

bee glad you've got your meds sorted we're all sending good luck vibes your way too

mrspv urgh to ms- its the worst thing ever. Lol at your dp waking up to strange man's voice in the bedroom!!

mamap great news on landlady-ness!

My scan was fine, feel ok today. Had the option to move my c section date back a week to 10 feb so it's only 2 days before my due date and have decided to do it - will give baby more time to cook (although they reckon he's already 7 lbs!)

Ladybee · 14/01/2011 16:51

Hey pv I didn't read it as being aimed me - no worries!
So I do now have the drugs, appt on weds turned into long and arduous trial but did eventually come home clutching two weeks worth - next step is an appt with clinic to show me how to inject self. I suspect they tried to call me to set appt as there's a blocked number missed call showing on phone. Then another scan to see whether things developing ok.
This is so nerve-wracking. Am currently just over 5 wks
and symptoms are so unsteady, get some nausea wavelets some days but mostly not, tired sometimes but mostly not. Hey ho, am doing what inneed to and the rest is luck .

How's everyone else?

PrettyVacant1 · 14/01/2011 15:40

Hey Peeps,
Bee fab news on getting the app.
Sorry if I came across as rude,(stating obvious) I meant they should realise the importance as I'm sure you are fully aware of it.
I'll just shut up now eh. Blush

Ooooo, and I downloaded an app to help me sleep, decided to listen to it about 4am the other morning.
Put it on quite low and closed my eyes listening to the nice man with the nice soft voice talk about deep breathing and imagining beaches, waves and peace.
Nearly drifting off when DP woke up, groaning about some creepy voice interrupting his sleep!
Ooooops Blush
GrinGrinGrin

Mad wave to Digi
How you doin' missus Grin

News here: AF on it's way and dd on Mon so slight melt down as I really wanted to be diffed before then but hey ho! Good news though, We had our offer accepted and I can now reveal it is in the Jewel of the High Weald... Tenterden! It is a Restaurant/wine bar very upmarket and glamourous! Ohhhhh I can't wait! Next best thing to a BFP! Any of you live that way or know it... I could invite you to opening night Wink We're not celebrating just yet... lot of legal stuff to get done but fingers crossed!
