The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

I'm not going to horrify you all with the suspenders but I shall cross lots of things and plump up your reserved beanbags on t'other thread in preparation for all the bfps :)

Superdrug early tests are both reliable and cheap btw Grin

mummyabroad · 16/02/2011 13:14

mornin' all!

YRMOTB I am due to test on the 24th, the day after my birthday according to FF. It looks like early ov and a short cycle but I really want to believe FF is right because I stopped shagging soon after ov (exhaustion) I doubt very much I will hold out till 24th! I dont have the steely nerves that the others do, based on previous performance I will probably start testing in a few days!!Blush

loola wow lots of big news! What is your lap for? have fun at your graduationSmile

Jolls and Velvet will be logging in hourly to see your news! Everything is still crossed, suspenders on and lucky charms are in the post Grin

I am convinced that everyone is getting pregnant this month! It must be that 5DPO optimism Grin I am going to try and do as many constructive things as possible before it wears off and the doubt comes back at about 11 DPOWink

Glad to hear you're optimistic loola. It can only helpSmile

When are you off to Japan velvet? I'm excited for you. My pals have just been to China to the ice festival, and I had a friend who lived in Osaka in Japan. Gutted I've never been to visit though.

BB gutted for the lack of dumping, but yey for good enough! I had a temp shift today, so hopefully in time for getting sloshed/being pg!

In other news, I buggered up the SMEG plan by falling asleep last night. Ah well.

jolls How's it going?I was going to enquire about the gusset, but it just sounded so wrong.

When do you have to test mummya? In time for B'day?

Waves to mamap nix aandr dachs magic8 izz and lurky lurkersSmile

loola2shus · 15/02/2011 23:40

OOOh its getting exciting around here! Especially you Jollster loving the pristineness!

I am feeling suprisingly good today, had appt at Gynae and they have told me I have to have a laparoscopy on 4th April, I was really not expecting that!!

However they did also tell me to lose weight ( was expecting that! )

For some reason the appointment has made me feel better, I have a new optimisim that I haven't had for months.

This cycle is my last chance before op, then on contraception for a month Sad

...but in the bottom of my heart I know its for the best- I could be a stone lighter by then and that has to be good?!

Also got my graduation date today so something else to focus on for a while! (by that I mean blind panic about the sheer amount of work I have left to do!!)

Anywho, really excited for possible BFP's on friday, FX ladies and hugs to everyone else, sorry for me me me! mwah x

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/02/2011 21:57

velvet I get what you're saying - every month I have brown cm for at least a day before af and part of me always thinks it might be implantation and it never is...having said that, I'm going to have to keep my fx and my suspenders on for you anyway because it's not over yet and you do have all those lovely symptoms

I also got very drunk 2days before a bfp (thought af had arrived - was wrong!) but I suspect you're not going to be easily convinced. If I were you, if af isn't here by Friday I would poas then and if it's bfn have a few drinks with a clear conscience.

AandRMum · 15/02/2011 21:46

They do the best omeletes - hmm I'm not food obsessed promise!

Mamapower · 15/02/2011 21:40

Noodles velvet Noodles mmmmmm!

Waves to all before my will to live vanishes... The Brits has just finished me off!!

Velvetcu · 15/02/2011 21:05

Well I'm safe from the sushi curse coz I have fish - don't know quite what I'm going to eat in Japan yet!

Maybe I shouldn't test Friday and just have a few drinks anyway at the weekend. DH is pressuring me everyday to POAS and I know he will be on my case about drinking even if I get a BFN Friday.

AandRMum · 15/02/2011 20:59

velvet I have done some pretty extensive research into drinking during pregnancy and also eating sushi - suffered severe guilt post mc about doing both - other than for alcohol abuse there is no data to link moderate consumption with mc or featul problems As for sushi, if it is prepared in a restaurant or shop then it must be frozen before serving which removes the worms which are the problem

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 15/02/2011 20:05

I get the expensiveness of the peesticks Jolls I am keeping everything crossed for you melovely x

Velvet before I got the + with DD I got wrecked at best mates wedding and it was also christmas, she is fine and dandy :)

Velvetcu · 15/02/2011 20:01

yeah I have convinced myself of implantation before and it always turns out to be good ole AF.

I know what you mean Jolls about not wasting money - fx for Friday for you and AandR :)

SameOldJollster · 15/02/2011 19:55

Peeps, it's important you realise I'm a cheapskate and hate wasting money on peesticks Grin.

Peed on Monday it was a BFN, looking back at previous pregnancies it was day 30 or 31 when I got a BFP. So Friday it is... if I'm still in it by then of course Hmm.

Velvet - what Magic said about implantation. And on drinking? I got really smashed a handful of times when unknowingly pg with DS (heavy drinking was sort of BIG in my work culture at the time). He's fine.

Magic8ballhastheanswers · 15/02/2011 19:36

Welcome back BB!

Jolls????????????????????????????????????????

Velvet could be implantation??

Velvetcu · 15/02/2011 18:27

helloo all just reporting in, I have a little brown stuff today so am probably not updiffed this month....again.

BB I have post-mc hangups about drinking tho coz I got smashed then found out the bean had died around that time.

Jolls POAS for goodness sake before we all explode with excitement!

hope everyone else is good :)

notsobarrenmorebrokenbrook · 15/02/2011 16:08

Oh my goodness, there's a plethora of symptoms and potential BFP's!

Jollipristinegusset Friday? Seriously? Are you actually going to make me wait that long!!! Grin

Velvet if it were me, I'd drink but not too much, having a wee bevvie or two prior to a BFP won't hurt as baybee doesn't share your blood supply early on.

YRMOTB Eek to no birthday drinking....Sad will early testing be too early IYSWIM? Like I said to velvet it won't harm you to have a few. My bessie mate spent Christmas and NY smashed and then found out she was updiffed mid Jan. Did her and le petite bebe no harm whatsoever. Skiing was awesome, blue sky and sunshine, although no fresh snow, it was good enough. Typically it's dumping there now though Envy

mummya sorry you had a shitty day yesterday, last thing you need at the mo. Hope you are enjoying your strawbs, bananas and homemade choc sauce, delish! You deserve it x

Big waves to the rest of the gang A&RMum, pretty, urd, viv, 8'sdoublebump, mamap, tygertigger, izzyboobprodder, nicks and loola

izz I was just wondering cos last month after I stopped temping it decided to give me a dotted line after it had given me a full line. I think it was just because I had stopped temping.

My opk was very negative just now. That means I have to dtd again today, doesn't it?

mummya having 2 conflicting advices is confusing. That must be difficult. And on v day is probably just adding insult to injury..

Yey for gusset watch jolls! have you managed to resist poAs action today?

SameOldJollster · 15/02/2011 15:24
mummyabroad · 15/02/2011 15:14

AandR I am veggie too and will be out buying portobello mushrooms and boursin at the earliest opportunity!

YRMOTB Yucky day with counselling yesterday. Because of doctors appointment on Friday I had to reschedule everything and had both my private session and then later the couples session on the same day. Exhuasting. I really hated the couples session, the therapist is telling me the exact opposite of what the private one is telling me. Some days its good but other days it really sucks and I wonder why I am doing it at all. Maybe it was just a really bad choice to do it on Valentines day.

BB Glad you had a good hol

Jolls Still no AF? I have had my fingers crossed for you, can add the legs now that shagfest is over. Grin

Izz Grin @ boob prodding in the office. Hope you get some symptoms soon.

loola I will probably be testing on Friday too, not because I will be anywhere near the end of the 2WW but because thats about the time I start running out of patience/willpower and convincing myself that 7DPO IS a good time to test. Confused

hope you guys are OK xxx

AandRMum · 15/02/2011 13:51

You can do the same stuffing in Portobello mushrooms as well for a veggie version Izzy

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/02/2011 12:39

yrmotb I had a solid line until I put ewcm in for 5dpo then it went dotted. Definitely didn't ov after cd17 though.

If I were you I would try again today them count yesterday as ov.

Well I'm 7dpo here and completely symptom-free (although dh felt dizzy last night - can I count that by proxy? Grin ) so expecting spotting to start any time between now and Saturday with af following closely behind. I have been boob-prodding this morning but there is definitely no difference.

I am very Grin and Envy at all your lovely symptoms and have big hopes for Friday.

Oh and aandr your menu is making me drool, even though I'm vegetarian Smile

nickstermum · 15/02/2011 12:06

AR watery is the day before AF starts, its the corpeus luteum isnt it? Stretchy is good x
