The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

bb glad you're feeling a bit better - don't blame you for having pre-appointment nerves/despondency, but hopefully it will give you some answers or options...

Happy birthday YRMOTB !!!! 10 dpo is far too early, but you know that! Hopefully your BFP is just waiting a couple more days so you can enjoy some guilt-free birthday Wine Grin

mummya pleased to hear bleeding has stopped, keeping everything crossed that you get confirmation today that all is well and you can relax a little and enjoy your weekend xx

battery the start of the cycle is grim, however I think I must be about cd7 now and am definitely feeling better. This has been helped by going over to my sister's for a couple of days - she has also had a terrible time with mcs and ep, but has just invested in a new puppy, who is absolutely gorgeous and definitely good for stress levels!!

I think I forgot to wave to freezing - sorry!

tony hope all is well with yourself and the double beans. I think I'm testing your friend's theory at the minute - last week booked a 2.5 week camping holiday in August (in a tent - I don't "do" tents!) that will be completely uncomfortable if I am big and pg, and also spent lots of money on fitted size 10 clothes from Monsoon. Surely I have tempted diffment enough?! Grin

Anyway, hope you're all having a good Friday. DS has gone to a sports afternoon at school and DD is at a friends so I am having an unexpectedly peaceful afternoon. I really should go for a run but it's started to rain, so that's not going to happen Smile

brokenbarrenbrook · 25/02/2011 14:13

Hello all, mummya you gave me a scare there but thankfully nowe ive caught up I'm glad to see all is well

Tony good to see you love, how are you and the double beans doing? no idea who I'm seeing yet, I guess I won't find out til Tues.

YRMOTB Happy Burfdee to Yoooooooou!! Gosh, it's Birthdaytastic around here at the mo! Sorry about the BFN but as mummya says maybe you should try again tomorrow! Have a fab day chick x

Feeling bit brighter today but I think that's down to having beasted myself at the gym for a couple of hours this morning and my new (second hand) DSLR camera has arrived, I am so excited it's here!

Waves to everyone else xxx

mummyabroad · 25/02/2011 12:38

I'm feeling good, temps still upGrin, no bloodGrin and I am off to the clinic again today to get bloods taken for the second timeGrin. I broke the news to DH last night, but gave him far too much detail, totally confused him to the point where he thinks we are going to find out for sure when I get the blood results back later todayHmm He'll catch up soon I am sure Grin

Morning all.

Hope everybodys well. All ok here, I am 10 dpo and consequently POAS'd as it would have been a nice bday treat. Unfortunately it was negative, but I still got to open cards and a couple of pressies. Looking forward to spending some time with my pal today and getting a takeaway for tea.

mummya how are you this morning? Are you having numbers taken again today?

zam nice to see you, how are you doing?

bb and battery hope you're both feeling a bit better today.

Waves to all, jolls freezing mouse velvet ali and all the diffed.

tonythetyger · 25/02/2011 07:59

Hi barren - just popped in to say hello. Who are you seeing at St Mary's? I saw Mr Magarra - was a bit so,so. A friend recommended Miss Webber and I was about to attend a private appointment with her when I had to cancel it(1stly for flu, 2ndly for bfp).

Holidays are a good idea. Have you bought any expensive tight clothes recently? A colleague of mine insists that is how she managed to conceive. When she told me this (I was not pg at the time) I thought Envy EnvySad why isn't it happening to me. Then I got an expensive Gerard Darel suit in the sales, wore it for about 8 weeks and it is now too tight........

Not foolproof but at least you have the nice clothes/holiday whatever happens.

Good luck with the appointment.

Freezingmyarseoff · 24/02/2011 22:27

MummyA. Thinking of you, I really hope it is implantation bleeding

batteryhen · 24/02/2011 20:02

Thanks mummy - have seen the baby aspirin thing - think I might take it up unil OV and see if that helps - It cant make things worse!

mummyabroad · 24/02/2011 19:54

cep its 2pm here now, he is back at 5.30

mummyabroad · 24/02/2011 19:54

battery Also good for lining: 1000mg Vitamin E, red raspberry leaf tea and bromelain (its the stuff that is in pineapples). There is a hotly raging debate about baby aspirin too. (very confusing if you google, some say only AFTER BFP because it might prevent implantation but others say it helps lining Confused)

re drugs: Ignore anyone who wants you to go on the pill, that THINS the lining as does Chlomid. Estrace (estrogen) thickens linings and so does Pentoxifylline and Tamoxaphen. Some AS doctors also prescribe Viagra pessaries but Dr March doesnt think that this actually works. Just so you have a bit more info for your next appointment! xx

Glad you're mum is going with you.

batteryhen · 24/02/2011 19:35

Hello all. Feel a bit better now - have been to the shops and brought things to improve my uterine lining --- my fridge is stocked with pineapple juice, brazil nuts and other such goodies - and a blueberry muffin Blush

mummy thank you for the PMs - glad your bleeding has stopped too - fingers crossed its little bean making itself comfy xx

mouse Sorry you are feeling sad - these days are shit aren't they?

izzy think I am exactly where you were last weekend :(

Thanks for all the kind words everyone - Think I might ask my mum to come with me next week but might ask her to wait outside - I don't want her to see my foof! Blush

cep · 24/02/2011 19:27

mummya oh good, so glad it's stopped. how long till dh comes home?

mummyabroad · 24/02/2011 19:22

bleeding stopped! Feeling a bit Blush now for completely abandoning the positive mental attitude I promised myself I would adopt. Getting all panicky 1 day in to the pregnancy - whoops, this could be a long road ahead Confused

Anyway, at least it helped me decide to hurry up and tell DH I dont want to go through all this worry on my own!

mouse I feel for you with the receptionists getting the wrong end of the stick. I got contratulated by well meaning administration people lots of times when recovering from my mmc Hmm FX your numbers are good. xx

mousebacon · 24/02/2011 18:30

Oh no, big squeeze mummya I hope it's all ok for you. You too battery sorry you have to do the appointment on your own.

My bloods weren't back today so have to wait until tomorrow now. The receptionist got mixed up and said 'so you've had 2 tests but you're bleeding? I'm sure it'll be ok' so I had to explain... I know she was just trying to be helpful but Sad

Feel sad tonight Sad

Youremindmeofthebabe · 24/02/2011 18:11

Mummya fx for you. Thinking of you, I'm sure it will be fine xx

loola2shus · 24/02/2011 17:49

Just quickly ... ((( mummya ))) FX its just implantation x

Sorry its a read and run, I am supposedly supervising dcs eating tea but I am secretly MNing Grin xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 24/02/2011 17:27

Oh mummya I am so hoping this is implantation, or breakthrough bleeding (I've had both so I know it can happen and be ok)...this must be such a worrying time for you Sad. I will be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed that it works out ok tomorrow. Big (((hugs))) xxxx

(((hugs))) to battery too - sounds like you are where I was last weekend and it's not fun xx

digitalgirl · 24/02/2011 17:06

Big soft hug for battery

mummya hugs for you too. Such a worrying time, really hoping it's implantation.

AliTheMinx · 24/02/2011 16:57

(but as you say, it may still be OK. I am hoping and praying.....xxxx)

AliTheMinx · 24/02/2011 16:56

Oh mummyabroad I am soooo sorry to hear you are bleeding, and just wanted to say you are in my thoughts.... xxxxx

mummyabroad · 24/02/2011 16:45

battery Just PM'd you. How awful to go on your own! It really is the kind of thing that is best done with some company, even if its someone who sits outside when the procedure is done and helps get you quickly to a nice cup of tea and choccie biccie when its all over. Do you have to travel far to do it. After my HSG I felt a bit weak at the news for a an hour or so and was glad of a lift home.

So now I wished that I had told DH and will tell him as soon as he gets home from work. I am bleeding and having crampy period pains right bang on when AF is due. I know that it could still be alright, implantation etc, and AS itself is often responsible for bleeding in pregnancy blah blah, but I have a gut feeling this is a chemical pregnancy (really crampy and there is stringy clotty bits). Will go and get bloods done tomorrow so I dont have to wait and wonder, I would do it today, but if there is a 48 hour gap between the two tests I'll get much better info. Glad that this didnt happen on my birthday anyway, at least I had a whole day enjoying being pregnant!

Velvetcu · 24/02/2011 15:44

batteryhen sorry you are feeling rubbish. I really wanted to be pg by my dd too but once that date came and went things got a lot easier for me. At least you know that on Wednesday you can start to sort things out. Almost all of my friends are pg or have just given birth too. It's just pants when it isnt you and they are all chatting happily about it in front of you.

barrenbrook I love Leffe (especially the dark one) and have 2 sitting in my fridge which I bought ready for what I thought was a certain bfn last Friday. Good luck with your appointment. Listen to mummya she knows everything :)

mummya how did you not tell?? I woke DH up by waving a peestick with a very faint line under his nose - his reposnse was "I cant even see you how am i supposed to see that!".

AliTheMinx · 24/02/2011 15:38

BatteryHen I just wanted to send you huge hugs and say I am thinking of you. I've had 2 miscarriages and seem to be surrounded by pregnant friends who are sailing through with no problems - it's SO hard!

I am actually pregnant again, but VERY scared as super early days - 5+4. Paranoid as hell that something will go wrong again...

It's such a worrying time for us all, isn't it.

I'm so sorry that you think you'll have to go to the hospital on your own - is there ANYONE who can go with you?

Much love XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
