The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

Second lot of HCG results in - all good Grin

I did a month on the pill after my ERPC - it was a doctors recommendation and not my choice so I was unhappy about it at first, but it did give me breathing space. Felt like a really big weight off my shoulders. Please dont apologise for offloading, in fact do more of it, it will do you good and we dont mind in the slightest.

mouse I was given a paper about MP written by Dr Philip Savage who is head of the molar unit at Charing Cross. If you are interested I can forward it to you, its got lots of graphs on it that show how much treatment patients need based on HCG levels/age/previous pregnancies etc PM me if you want a copy.
Sorry that you have to spend the weekend mulling over the possible scenarios Sad
Just want to say again,
If it is Number 2, taking two doses of cytotec might be enough to dislodge it instead of an ERPC.

If it is Number 3) you wouldnt necessarily need any treatment, just have your HCG checked until it hits

nicks we are too alike. Have no idea what GYM is either. And as for date night...?

nickstermum · 25/02/2011 20:55

Big huge massive hugs bee xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/02/2011 20:25

ladybee there's nothing I can say, but just wanted to send big big (((hugs))) to you. I remember very well the weekend between my mmc scan and the erpc and how I hardly dared move, I was so afraid of things happening naturally (they didn't) so I can really sympathise with how you're feeling there. It's just awful Sad

I can understand you feeling like you might need a break, you've been through so much, and it must all be overwhelming right now. Just take things one day (hour? Minute?!) at a time and think it over. The same with the testing too, it's such a lot to take in all at once.

I wish there was more I could say...thinking of you xxx

mouse I'm sorry everythings still not resolved, that must be so worrying. Fx it's just taking its time to come back down Sad

Ladybee · 25/02/2011 20:13

hey. does any one mind if I just curl up here with my book and laptop for a while?
I'm waiting for my ERPC, still not quite able to believe this is no.3 in (less than) a year, 4 in total. HOW on earth did I manage to have DS??? I obviously had the Leiden Factor V with him, but had no meds, and he made it through. How do I do that again? Ok, I was 4 years younger and several pounds lighter but not that much has changed.

I'm thinking of having a few months back on the pill if I can get GP to prescribe it now that the clotting thing has been discovered. I really feel the need to forget all about ttc for a bit, it's all just a bit much right now.

I'm on a weird version of knicker-check now - desperate for the MC not to start naturally before I can get the ERPC done. No signs of anything so far, in fact I'm pretty sure body has no idea yet, still getting nausea.

Sorry to offload, it goes around in my head, and I just want it out. GP asked whether I'd be ok and also said I could have further investigations if I wanted, he could refer me now that I'd had three. Got to have a think about that.

I'm glad there's a friendly corner of MN to go to. Feel very fragile.

mummyabroad · 25/02/2011 19:44

Hi mouse sorry to hear the trauma continues.Sad I had HCG of 255 three months after mmc, along with distended uterus and masses of tissue that had "regrown" during the month since my last scan (when uterus was clear), the head of the Molar unit at Charing Cross hospital looked at my scan and said he thought it looked like "classic" molar (so did local doc) but then tissues were analysed after my ERPC and found not to be molar. I never got an explanation of how they could have regrown like that (often suspect the Costa Rican lab got it wrong) I know how frightening it is even to suspect it might be molar and how horrible it is to just have everything dragging on and on. Please know that if it is found to be molar, those numbers are very low, so you would be looking at a quick recovery and very low likelyhood of needing treatment and most probably only a three month wait rather than 6 or 12. I really hope that it isnt anything like that though and I hope that this is all over soon.xxxx

Crazyafterthought · 25/02/2011 19:17

Him this sounds good - i am too old at 43, already have 3 who are fine at school and growing and not little any more and have had 3 mcs- 2 recently. now preg with the next and only 5 weeks. slightly feel like keeping a weekend free in the next couple of weeks just in case it goes the same way- must reamin positive.

Fanjocam has got to be the best expression- 286 won't be a molar- that will be in the thousands.
good luck with the fanjocam.

Ha ha beasting round my neck of the woods is more to do with animals!!!! But of course Bb that is not what you meant ha ha:) xx

brokenbarrenbrook · 25/02/2011 18:15

And moo sorry you're feeling poorly, glad we made you laugh (hopefully not wee yourself though!) Get well soon xxx

brokenbarrenbrook · 25/02/2011 18:13

Ha ha, beasting is terminology for making yourself work very hard. Think it stems from military / police types and having grown up in 40 commando territory it's part of my language. Soz. I didn't (unfortunately) get shagged down the gym Grin

mouse when's dildocam? (I can't believe my phone recognises that word!) did the drs say anything to suggest molar?? Hope you're doing ok.

wiggle I'm laughing alot at go go gobo!!!! Your poor DH! Him thinking his daughter was cheering him on while giving Mummy a good seeing too probably didn't help! Sorry for laughing! As for camera, I'm crap at taking photos too but was on a course a few weeks back with work that had a photography input and I caught the bug. However I thought starting off with an entry level 2nd hand camera a bit more sensible than forking out a fortune on a new one. They do take better pictures and you can manually focus so get the blurry background arty type shots.

mousebacon · 25/02/2011 17:59

Hey ladies, just a quick one. HCG results are 286 - way higher than they should be so the docs have got me an appointment at the hospital for another fanjo cam. I really hope it's not molar Sad

CaribouMoo · 25/02/2011 17:43

Nicks I think its a typo from BB but it made me snigger because beasting is another term for shagging - on the East coast of Scotland at least. So it brought forth images of very inappropriate activities down the gym, especially beasting yourself! Maybe what she means is that she beat her previous best? This is coming from someone that's never set foot inside a gym though...

Now I'm having another laugh at Wiggles post too!! Those have right cheered me up - thanks girls! I'm still miserable with the cold and a seal barking cough so needed a wee laugh x

batteryhen · 25/02/2011 16:54

wiigle - your post made me laugh 'go go gobo??!! No wonder your poor DH had trouble this morning Grin

izzy - I am a fair weather runner too. I say that like I am Paula Radcliffe or someting - I use 'run' very loosley. More like 'limp'.

Just a quick hello as I am off to the airport flying out to see DP- a nice weekend of drinking wine and being pampered :)

I am also not charting this month - I know when I ov so just relying on good old shagging (and Ryan Air) to get me up the duff :)

Happy Friday everyone xx

getawiggleon · 25/02/2011 15:52

Afternoon ladies and happy birthday to YRMOTB Don't think I've ever known his many February frolickers in my whole life!

Mummy Good luck with HCG, hope your numbers are rising nicely. Grin at your DH not quite 'getting' the good news after all the info!! My DH asked me what day it was in bed the other day and I replied '12'. He meant is it Weds or Thurs.

Nicks Don't go worrying yourself about those funny little words, especially not in your condition Smile

Izzy Glad you're feeling better, lovely. Amazing how a few days can bring a whole new wave of optimism.

BB New camera sounds fab. I'd love a SLR but despite actually being quite creative/artistic I'm absolutely shit not very good at taking photos. I've often wondered if a good camera would make me take better snaps though Hmm

battery I love the word 'foof' May have to adopt that over fanjo from now on.

Ok, so I'm very Confused here today. Two negative OPKs yesterday on CD13 (latest one at midnight was almost there though) Then temperature up this morning Hmm So, I peed on two different sticks this afternoon (both internet cheapies, just different ones). The brand I'd been using yesterday gave a clear negative and the other brand gave a strong positive. WTF??

I know the obvious advice would be to keep swi but our attempts this morning were scuppered when DH struggled to perform beacause a) he was late for work and b) DD had woken up next door and was in her cot shouting "Go, go, Gobo" (She likes Gobo the goat from Big Barn Farm) It didn't help that I said she was cheerleading him. I seem to be quite good at killing the moment.

How can two different OPKs give to such opposite results?! Starting to wonder if the original batch is duff. Duff diff sticks?! (I usually ov day 13/14)

AliTheMinx · 25/02/2011 15:48

nickstermum Your comment made me laugh out loud!!!! I was thinking JUST the same thing...!!! xxxxxx

tonythetyger · 25/02/2011 14:41

Thanks for the good wishes. Still feeling exhausted but next scan is not till 12 weeks so I'm just praying they're still in there.

Izzy - camping is my nightmare pg or not, I hope it works for you.

BB- I hope you get someone you like on tues. Take lots of reading material as well, the wait is never good, although twice I was out of there by 9.15/30.
