The resurrection of the 6th form common room for those inbetweeners who are TTC/PG after mc and are too long in the tooth to fit anywhere else

The resurrection of the 6th form common room, a place to put your feet up, wallow in self pity (me) or rejoice (and tremble in fright) at new growing beans and baybees after mc. No lists. No stats. No babydust. No feeling bad if you can't keep up.

Go.

hello ladies, thanks for welcoming me back so to speak. It feels good to be chit chatting with you all again. Were else do you hear the term 'fanjo & dildocam' I love it Smile

ladybee I'm so sorry to hear your news. There's nothing I can really say but big hug to you. I'm thinking of you

mummyA glad the bloods going in the right direction

YRMOTB sorry about impending AF, it's always shite but glad you had fun at the party

Izzy hoping you had some fun last night Wink

Mouse HGC never does what you want, pants. I'm sorry

tony I just realised you used to be Tigger. Massive congrats on the double beans, I'm SO happy for you

I'm in need of some your straight talking. I just tested and I'm not due for another whole week Blush I've been getting lots of imaginary symptoms, even DH thinks it's all in mind. I just wasted my only test. I was desparately trying to save it but it just goes to show I can't keep any piss-sticks in the house.

Sorry I can't name check everyone this time but big waves to you all Jollster, Battery, Nickster, tunnocks, BB, Moo, wiggle, Ali and of course our newest recruit MrCockerel Grin

randomimposter · 27/02/2011 23:10

randomimposter · 27/02/2011 23:09

Wave to all. x

batteryhen · 27/02/2011 23:01

babe glad you enjoyed the Wine:)

I had several last night and woke up feeling very green and grim this morning x

batteryhen · 27/02/2011 22:58

Hello everyone :)

Am back home now - am clocking up some serious air miles!!

ladybee perhaps then cerezette is no good for you if it is going to turn you into a loon ? :) I agree with your thinking - if you are going to have more tests especially hormonal ones then you really shouldn't go on the pill - but you have some time to think things through xxx

izzy I am really enjoying not temping - although I am a bit grumpy about the fact I am paid up on fertility friend for 2 more months, however I still am finding it much more relaxing - not analysing every temperature.

babe hope AF isn't here and the temp drop was a one off. I know what you mean about the crapiness of it all. God almighty why can't we all just be pregnant, produce a lovely baby and live happily ever after?

So I am flying back to germany in 8 days time in order to cath the eggy. DP looked very Grin with the Mr Cockerel name. He read and re read his little waves and messages.Simple things ...... :)

Anyhow am off to bed now - work tomorrow. Dull of dullness :(

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/02/2011 22:57

Yay for the Wine yrmotb , glad it went well xxxx

BOA how are you finding the not temping? Do you think it's helping to not obsess too much?

Youremindmeofthebabe · 27/02/2011 22:49

Fanks guys. Had lovely time, been v pissed. Meeting cycle 7 with less upset(ATM) xx

BackOnceAgain · 27/02/2011 20:31

Hey mummya thank you, I shall add myself soon... (and LOL at your specialist MM subject Grin )

yrmotb sorry about temps etc, even though I wasn't around and didn't know that Izzy or battery had a month off the temps but I did the same too this month.

Watching 'About a Boy' (again) on tv, love this film Smile

mummyabroad · 27/02/2011 12:36

YMOTB Really sorry the temps dropped.Sad Hope the run works to change your mood, and that you enjoy the party. Sending you a big hug xxxx

Hey BOA nice to see youSmile, come in and make yourself comfy. We have a stats list over here if you want to join in.

Velvetcu · 27/02/2011 11:12

yrmotb sorry the temps have dropped and that you are feeling low. I don't really know what to say because I know the "you will get there one day" from a diffder is really fricking annoying and doesnt help at all! Enjoy your party.

Izz glad you are feeling a bit better and liberated. Last cycle I had pretty much given up hope (hence the midcycle drinking session!) but carried on charting because I liked knowing when AF was coming.

I really really hope that you get your BFPs soon. I hated seeing people get theirs month after month and wondering why it wasnt me.

((((hugs)))) to all who need them, Wine and Biscuit to everyone else.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/02/2011 09:11

Oh yrmotb great big ((((hugs)))) coming your way Sad. It's not over yet obviously but you know your body...I just hate that feeling of inevitability at the end of the cycle...hope you're ok, going for run always great to clear the head so hope it brings some calm and zen. I really feel for you though, I was a complete wreck at cd1 this time and could barely face the thought of ttc any more, but fwiw I'm on cd9 now and do feel better again. If af does arrive, have you thought about joining me and battery in having a month off charting etc? It's quite liberating and just a big relief not to have to think about it first thing every sodding morning.

(if you don't mind though I will keep my fx a little while longer just in case xxxx Smile )

Youremindmeofthebabe · 27/02/2011 09:02

Temps dropped again, bfn again, fully expecting AF today. Fucking hate all this shit. Stupid long cycles what a waste of bloody time. Off for a run, hoping will get back in a better mood. I don't really want to cry at my own party.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/02/2011 21:58

I am stalking your chart yrmotb so will be hoping for some good news tomorrow Smile

According to SMEP I should start swi-ing tonight...although as I've abandoned all the other aspects of my regime this cycle I'm not sure I'll stick to SMEP anyway Grin

Youremindmeofthebabe · 26/02/2011 21:46

Hello peeps. How goes it?

mose sorry to hea your hcg still up. Fingers crossed it's just a slow burner like battery's was. Thursday, is it? Hope the evil boss is ok about it too.

Tomorrow is test day. Unless my temp drops in the am in which case I won't bother. They did drop slightly today although for the last few days before that I woke up feeling feverish, like hot and cold?! If it's a bfn I will take solace in my party and partake of some wine.

Just on the phone, so cant scroll back properly, so waves to all, including the germany massive, and a hug for ladybee. sleep tight all.

BackOnceAgain · 26/02/2011 16:48

Hey there ladies, so this is where you are Smile Hope you don't mind me popping on every now and again as I am so far behind with the other one I don't recognise anyone there!!!

Love the new Wine and Brew logos!!

Nowt happening in the BOA camp but ever hopeful.

Just saw ladybee news, so Sad for you

MummyA how exciting and fx x10000 that its a stickler

I am meant to be out celebrating friend's birthday tonight but I have a poorly sick ds on knee so a Wine on the sofa is in order instead. I haven't read everyone's news so I'm going to pour through this thread now...

Ladybee · 26/02/2011 16:29

battery I remember taking cerazette after DS was born and I was BFing. I was on it about 3 weeks and descended into PND paranoia, stopped taking it and still had counselling but the mad obsessive thoughts and pure rage did stop pretty quickly. I'd be quite scared about going on to that.
It did also occur to me that if I'm going to take up GP's offer to refer me for further investigations, then I really need to not be on the pill.
Still pondering that one. As far as I can tell, I need to:

  1. Find out whether insurance will cover costs of invesitigation
  2. Find out what waitlists would be like for NHS clinic for Dr Shehata if not,
  3. Find out what timeframes private Dr Shehata would be if so.
Ladybee · 26/02/2011 16:23

mummya is it true you must never give a guinea pig potatoes? or crisps?

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/02/2011 14:05

Liking the sound of that mummya !! Have been doing some reading up on them and think they would suit us. Hope you're doing ok - has your dh got over the shock yet? Grin

yrmotb - any news? x

mummyabroad · 26/02/2011 13:58

Izzy my 5 year old niece has two guinea pigs and adores them. They are quite handy for getting rid of all your kitchen food waste too. Grin

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/02/2011 13:54
Grin

I am in need of a project that is not baby or ttc related and am trying to persuade dh to let me get some guinea pigs. The dcs have been desperate to get another pet since our beloved dog died in September (he was nearly 14)...Am I mad?

(Sorry for quick post - going swimming!)

mummyabroad · 26/02/2011 13:19

Tee hee - Yes I do have access to a large encyclopedia of knowledge - it is called Google.Grin Its a bit sad to think though, that if I was on Mastermind my specialist subject(s) would be infertility, molar pregnancies and Ashermans Hmm

battery good that you have made contact with Dr March, I totally recommend sending him any scans/HSG/Hyst films you get in the future too. If you want Dr Lowers phone/email let me know.

Grin @ jolls giggling at dildocam - must admit I found it hard to keep a straight face the first time I saw them putting a condom on it, but mostly I am just relieved it is not the Dreaded Speculum.

Have a fab Saturday everyone.

YRMOTB is it pee time yet? How are you? xxx

mousebacon · 26/02/2011 10:14

Thanks for the reassurance battery and jolls I think it's fab that it makes you laugh - I think you must have experienced much gentler nursing staff than me!

randomimposter · 26/02/2011 09:59

loving MrCockerel and his socialist waving policy :)

batteryhen · 26/02/2011 09:57

Me again.

Have just been told off by DP for not waving to everyone else:(

xx

batteryhen · 26/02/2011 09:50

Hello everyone

I have only been gone a few hours and such a lot has happened!

mouse Rubbish news about your HCg - just to reassure you - after my first MMC that was medically managed - I bled for 9 weeks and the HCG took AGES to come down. I had dildocams on a weekly basis. I had some retained blood rather than tissue - but they said they would not take me for surgery and just let me get on with it. At the time I was not happy - but I did stop bleeding eventually and my HCG did fall. Just saying - you too might just be a 'slow faller' :)

mummyA My DP is sat reading all the messages and now thinks you are wired up to some sort of encyclopedia! Good news about HCG - I also got an email from Dr March - who recommends me to see DR Lower - but have already emailed him so just waiting.

jolls slight concern about the giggling over dildocam :) but I just lay back and think of England... :)

lady You make yourself comfortable and let us look after you for a while. I too was scared to death that I would start to MC naturally last October, I did pass a few clots but they still took me to theatre. I also have factor V and will have to go down the heparin route,- that is if I ever fall pregnant again :( - I also thought about going on the pill for a while, the DR might be reluctant to put you on the combined pill, but cerezette may be ok for you as it is progesterone only. xx

wave to izzy freezing BB and to babe (who I have not seen)
